2 Skincare Tips I Learned On TikTok💕
☀️I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone. Normally I get my information from Paula’s Choice’s skin ingredient dictionary but I like seeing other skincare lovers share their tips on social media. I found these two tips on TikTok that have actually worked for me that I hadn’t heard of before! ✨1. Cleansing with oil based cleanser for 10-15 minutes I was scrolling on TikTok and saw that this girl had been massaging oil into her face for a longer period of time and was having lots of success removing blackheads. This of course makes sense because oil removes oil and that’s essentially what blackheads are. In the past I had just massaged it around for a minute or two but now I really take my time and I do find that massaging oil on for a longer time period is very effective for cleaning my pores! For this, I like Farmacy’s Green Clean cleansing balm but it has microplastics in it so I’m planning to switch to the one by Then I Met You or Deviant Skincare for my next purchase. Besides that, I love this formula. A liquid oil-based cleanser would work too! ✨2. Reapplying sunscreen with beauty blender over make-up I’d struggled a lot in the past with the idea of adding sunscreen over make-up. Besides the sprays or powders with SPF, it just didn’t seem realistic until I saw this video on TikTok of someone wearing a full face of makeup and using a beauty blender to reapply. I’d never thought of that before and it didn’t mess up her make-up at all! Reapplying sunscreen is so important for skin health but I think a lot of make-up wearing people don’t do this because it’s so tricky and this is a game changer! Purito Unscented Sunscreen is my current favorite but I’ll be trying Beet Shield by Krave Beauty soon too which is also supposed to be amazing. ✨What tips have you gotten online? Pregnancy Melasama Impoving
Giving birth to my beautiful baby girl has definitely been the greatest joy of my life and I wouldn't change anything. 1 year after giving birth my neck still looked like the the BEFORE picture. I think it was towards the end of my first trimester I started getting this dark discoloration on my neck and my doctor diagnosed me with melasma. She said it was due to the pregnancy nothing serious and will fade over time after I gave birth. So after giving birth I wait 1 year and nothing changes!!!! I started all different serums but what seemed to work the best was a combination of NATURIUM - Alpha Arbutin Serum 2% , NATURIUM - Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% and NATURIUM - Vitamin C Face Oil layered during the day and making sure I finished with sunscreen PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ As you can see, by the before and after, using these products constantly has greatly improved the melasma on my neck and my face. These pictures were taken 3 months apart.
2 of my favorite asian skincare products
Skincare products vary a lot around the world, and Asian skincare has gained a reputation for being some of the best products around. I started incorporating some Asian skincare into my routine a few years ago, and now I can’t go without it! Here are two of my favorites. For reference, my skin is fair and acne prone, and my main concerns are healing texture and hyperpigmentation from acne. The first one is thePURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ . I discovered this sunscreen after @whatsonvisface recommended it multiple times on instagram. I also saw a lot of people recommending it on the skincareaddiction subreddit. This sunscreen is typically around $15-$16 for 2oz, which is an excellent price. The SPF is great too: 50+! Here’s what I love about it and why I’ve repurchased it multiple times: The texture is lightweight and sinks in easily It has zero white cast NO SUNSCREEN SMELL! No smell at all since this is unscented! In addition to high SPF, it contains soothing ingredients like centella and niacinamide that are great for my acne prone skin It layers well over other products and under makeup This checks all the boxes for me. It protects my skin, plays well with all my other products, and fits within my budget. This is the sunscreen I recommend to EVERYONE. The second product is a bit newer to me—I’ve been using the COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence for about a month now. I got it because I was looking for a cheaper essence than May Coop’s raw sauce, and I had seen multiple skincare influencers recommend it. It’s 96% snail mucin, and it also has hyaluronic acid to help skin retain moisture. I bought it on Amazon for $15 for 3.38oz. Here’s why I love it: The texture is like a thick essence, but not sticky like I feared No scent It feels incredibly soothing and moisturizing It’s made a noticeable difference in my redness and hyperpigmentation due to acne It helps my acne heal faster It doesn’t pill This essence does everything I want it to do: it adds another layer of moisture and helps with acne and the marks left behind. It’s also very affordable—much more affordable than the essence I was using before! I use this in both my morning and night routines and it’s been working great for me. I plan to repurchase this and I would recommend it to anyone. #CheriePartner

Asking for tips/suggestions!!!
The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane haven’t used it for a long period of time to give a review. But there are times i would apply this at night and my skin is feeling soft like a baby’s butt. The way i integrate this product in my routine, is that i would use this only as my active and the rest of my skincare is gentle and basic. Cerave hydratjng cleanser, kiehls calendula toner, then this serum, and finish it with a nourishing cream such as drunk elephant lalaretro whipped cream! I know retinol can be very drying which is why i used the moisturizer that has the most beneficial ingredients. I got myself two bottles thinking i would go through this quick, but i thought wrong. Which is why i started using it on my neck every day, i have some noticeable lines that i would like to get rid of. i would buff it with the cerave lotion, and apply a few drops on the palm of my hands and apply it on my neck and chest. I only use this once a week, ive learned it the hard way and used so much actives at once that my skin became hella sensitive. Any suggestions as to how i could benefit more to this serum? YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Tonerno ratings, because i haven’t used it yet! I ended up buying the smaller bottle of it, because for now i’m finishing up the drunk elephant aha/bha serum before i could try this product out. Please give me tips on how to use it, how i can incorporate it in my routine, should i just not have bought it at all? Lol 🆘

A green juice for your face?!? Yes please.
This is my second full sized bottle of YTTP Kale 🥬 + Green Tea 🍵 Spinach & Vitamins 💊💊💊 and I’ll forever be a fan (I’ve also gone through two minis 😬). This CLEAN, very gentle, lightweight gel but subtly foaming cleanser gives me all the feels. It smells spectacular (like green tea), feels amazing and is a perfect morning and second cleanse. It’s not stripping but gives a nice clean - definitely what I love in a cleanser. Using this consistently I’ve noticed calmer skin, a bit less redness, way less congestion and acne, and overall softness. Absolutely love this! I have a bit of a cleanser collection but I will definitely repurchase this as long as it’s sold! 💚🥬💊💚 A must have for sensitive and combination skin! #cherieconversations #youthtothepeople #cleanser YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser Kale + Spinach + Green Tea + Vitamins, oh my!
MDSolarSciences-Mineral Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UVA-UVB Sunscreen
A perfect second cleanse
I was gifted this in PR. As someone with oily, dehydrated acne prone/sensitive skin, I love cleansers that don’t strip my skin, feel great and provide a thorough cleanse with added benefits. This cleanser is claimed to be a total all in one, meant to remove makeup and cleanse the skin. Personally, I didn’t enjoy using it to fully break down my SPF and makeup. I much prefer balm or oil cleansers for that job, purely because oil attracts oil and it nourishes my skin better before a second cleanse while also completely removing all the grime off my face. However, as a second cleanse, it’s amazing. I fully enjoy it for this. It’s creamy and does not strip my skin, but because of the surfactants, I admit it can be a little dry than I am used to. I wish it were more hydrating, but I can see most people loving this, especially if you don’t have dehydrated skin. I should mention it’s also fragranced, which I love. This didn’t irritate my skin. The antioxidants and unique packaging are an added bonus and definitely makes the price worth it.
FENTY SKIN-Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser
A cleanser like no other!
Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser this cleanser by krave beauty is marketed as an antioxidant cleanser made to fully cleanse but also protect your skin barrier! It is marketed for all skin types but based on how gentle it is I would say this is great for sensitive skin! The texture is super soft and nice it has a slight foaming feature but not too much, it’s super gentle and does not feel stripping at all!! The key ingredients: Matcha: packed full of antioxidants it is perfect for your skin!! Hemp seed oil: this oil is high in amino acids, and has a natural antibacterial property that helps to relive inflamed skin A group of mild and gentle cleansing agents that don’t strip the skin Vitamin B5 and sodium PCA: two skin barrier strengthening ingredients! My thoughts: I absolutely adore this product, even my boyfriend loves it! I have had it for about three month and use it almost on a daily basis, u less I’m feeling in need of a tougher cleanse. It does not leave my skin feeling stripped AT all and I definitely feel like it gets the job done. I decided to try it because I absolutely adore this brand, and wanted a super gentle cleanser so I immediately got this one. I would for sure recommend this product, for 16 dollars and for how big it is, to me this is a no brainer! The brand is clean, recyclable, and cruelty free! What else could you need in a brand! This product definitely earns a 5/5 from me!
Krave-Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
Best believe the hype 😦
Disclaimer! I have combination- more oily, acne prone and sensitive skin, what works for me may not work for you! I’m not joking when I say that Liah Yoo may have come with a bit of gold with their Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser I used to have trouble trying to find a cleanser that is able to do the job but not be too stripping on my skin, but a lot of cleanser either don’t get enough of the first and grime off OR it’s just too harsh that my skin feels so tight. When I watched Hyram, James Welsh and Beauty Within rave so much about this cleanser it made me really want to try it, but also made me have very high expectations... And I’m glad it actually pulled through! This is such an effective gentle and yet hydrating cleanser! The texture is a gel like consistency and has a slight “matcha” smell (but you can get past it). It doesn’t strip the skin and has honestly become my absolute favourite cleansers. If I could give her 6 stars I would 🌟 Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
Krave-Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser

Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser alright, so this is my all time FAVORITE cleanser 😻 it’s marketed as a hydrating cleanser but it helps repairs your skin barrier, runs acne-control, and is an overall incredible product! it’s packed with antioxidants and fatty acids, has a healthy pH, and the INCI list contains lovely ingredients like matcha (obviously), hemp seeds, oats, almonds, vitamin B5, and sodium PCA 🥰 the texture is a gooey, yellow-ish color and it feels like heaven on your skin 👀 it’s also affordable at $16! i decided to try it because the reviews were all phenomenal and i’ve been using this for half a year now. my VERY acne-prone skin has improved incredibly. it’s safe to say she’s a savior ✨ 10/10 is not high enough for this product, I VERY highly recommend this! 💓
