Combination Skin
My skin is so stinkin sensitive, these are my daily products that are slowly working for me! I will do separate ones on nighttime and masks💛 Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser I love the smell and feel of this cleanser! It’s gentle on my sensitive skin. If my skin feels really icky I will use this with my Clarisonic Mia, but most days I just use my (clean!) hands. MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater PLEASE READ I’ve obsessed over this stuff forever, but the more I’ve learned about skin care the more I realized this spray was not a crucial part like I thought! However, I love the smell and the ingredients themselves can be so beneficial. But for how expensive it is I feel wasteful just spritzing some on and going! I read on Dr. Mamina’s website https://www.drmamina.com/ (a great resource) that you could use rosewater as toner! After months of being disappointed with how harsh witch hazel is, I simply mixed a tad in my rosewater spray and have been toning with that on a cotton round! It leaves my skin hydrated and refreshed, not taut or dry. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use only a few drops of this and it LOCKS in the moisture! It’s so sticky but it dries quickly if you rub it in well. I’ve struggled with finding the balance between my skin being too dry or too oily and this does the trick. BOTANICS - 81% Organic Hydrating Day Cream I love Botanics night cream yet I was disappointed with this one. The consistency is strange, and I don’t like the smell personally. However, if you’re someone who needs light coverage, mixing this with some concealer makes the perfect tinted moisturizer! I’ve done this on my better skin days and it’s the perfect boost. Something about how the cream dries keeps it in place without being too matte.

Moisturizer that is acne friendly
Moisturizer that is acne friendly
This moisturizer/gel is really great for acne prone skin-for me it’s been hard to find a moisturizer that doesn’t create more acne or irritate my skin but this one is so so great! It’s a nice gel like texture and it dries down so quick! The smell is super nice and light and really makes your skin more hydrated overnight! It’s amazing!! Definitely recommend and it’s a great dupe for many high end moisturizers Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel

May work for some but it broke me out
May work for some but it broke me out
This is a holy grail for a lot of people but unfortunately it didn’t work out for me. This isn’t my first rodeo with a sole SA serum and I currently have a couple acid blends in rotation so I know what is and isn’t purging for me. Whenever I used this I ended up with bumps and closed comedones in places I normally don’t get them. This is a bummer because I did enjoy the texture and it didn’t dry me out as I let it sit. Maybe it’s the added essential oils. There’s spearmint, geranium, lemongrass, lavender, rosemary and lemon balm. They state that they’re noncomedogenic but I do know that essential oils can be irritating to a lot of people. I’ve used products with lavender and geranium with no adverse reactions so maybe it’s one of the others 🤷🏻‍♀️

Serum for Acne: The Ordinary Niacinamide
Serum for Acne: The Ordinary Niacinamide
The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc is a cult classic serum which claims to help reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and balance sebum. Deciem recommends this product to anyone who struggles with hyperpigmentation and acne-prone skin, and as somebody who deals with both of this, this is perfect for me. I know some people aren’t a fan of the slightly goopy texture, but I usually mix a drop into my moisturizer instead of applying it directly to the face, which helps manage the otherwise weird texture. I’ve been using this for over 2 years and I’m on my 8th bottle now, so it’s clearly been a staple for me. It’s one of the only products that cleared my closed comedones and continues to help prevent some acne from cropping up. It’s actually on sale right now for $4.54 for the 30ml size, and I would wholeheartedly recommend picking it up if you struggle in the slightest bit with acne and texture. At this price, it’s unbeatable and fully worth checking out. Are you as obsessed with it as I am? The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%, 3
Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%, 30ml A simple backdrop for a magnificent Acid. I can definitely say that it’s my Holy Grail product of this year. This is my third tube and I think it deserves a good intro. I used it as my last step in my evening routine. It’s a lightweight silicon based cream gel like substance and when applied quickly absorbed and leaves skin matte and powdery soft. It’s great for all skin types but especially for sensitive combination skin types. The small tube would last you probably a month and a half if used once daily. Azelaic Acid (dicarboxylic acid)can be found in grains and is being produced naturally by yeast that lives on normal skin. It also important to not that it also acts as an antioxidant which is a nice benefit on top. It also has anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It targets: 🌾 rosacea 🌾closed camedones, blackheads and whiteheads, hormonal break outs 🌾uneven skin tone 🌾hyper pigmentation I would not use other acids in the same routine as this one is enough and you don’t want to overwhelm your skin. Also it should not be used with high concentrations of Vitamin C and Peptides. What I have noticed was reduction of blackheads, closed comedones and redness. It doesn’t give you a glow but who needs that at night😂 when you can wake up to clear face. However, I did notice the events of the skin tone, it also can be because of Vitamin C in my morning routine.

GLYCOLIC ACID

✨WHAT IS IT? Gl
GLYCOLIC ACID ✨WHAT IS IT? Glycolic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). It is generally used at 3%-10% for daily use in cleansers, toners etc. and over 10% for chemical peels. ✨ WHAT DOES IT DO? Glycolic acid provides a nice mild exfoliation. It’s small molecules break down the outermost layer of dead skin and allow it to penetrate deeply and easily. ✨ WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR? Glycolic acid is great for boosting collagen and plumping your skin. It improves radiance, clarity, brightness and texture of the skin. It is also great for aging skin! ✨ WHO SHOULD USE IT? Glycolic acid is ideal for people with.... • Textured skin • Closed comedones • Acne scars/pigmentation • Large pores • Cystic acne (deep blockages) • Keratosis Pilaris ✨PICTURED: Deciem The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid Toner - CAD$8.70. A pretty strong Glycolic acid product for such an affordable price😫💯 I would 100% repurchase this, I love this product so much.... read why below!👇🏼 ✨ BONUS: I use The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid Toner on my legs, bikini & underarms for a few days post-shave or wax to AVOID INGROWN HAIRS. If you are prone to ingrown hairs after shaving or waxing, I highly suggest trying a Glycolic acid toner! The mild chemical exfoliation removes dead skin and impurities that clog the pores, allowing hair to grow through the skin at ease. 🌝 (NOTE: I screwed in a spray nozzle from an old Lush toner bottle for easier application)
