MY FACE MAKEUP ROUTINE for when I’m breaking out
For numerous reasons, I have been stressed lately which really shows on my skin. I already get the occasional breakout, around the time of the month, and sometimes from diet and eating food that probably isn’t GREAT for me. So with additional stress I eat more, crave more crappy food, maybe pick at my skin, etc. I also wear a face mask whenever I go out and with the heat and humidity of where I live, it just becomes a skin nightmare. I just made another post about how I’ve changed up my skincare routine. Here is my makeup routine for covering it up. Add warmth and color back into the face. COLOURPOP - Super Shock Blush

MAKE UP FOR EVER
MINIMAL MAKEUP ROUTINE FOR SELF-QUARANTINE
I can’t be the only one who likes to wear a little “something something” even when I’m stuck at home all day right?! Even if it’s just covering up my blemishes, brushing up my brows and putting on a light layer of gloss, it always makes me feel better and become more productive. Here’s what I do most days: *CONCEAL* MAKE UP FOR EVER - Full Cover Concealer in 06 I love this high coverage concealer. I use the tiiiiniest amount just to pinpoint conceal any small scars or blemishes on my face. I don’t use this under my eyes because it’s way too heavy for that! It lasts so long on your face AND lasts you a while as a product too- I’ve been using this same tube for more than a year! (Yes, I should probably get a new one soon 🙃) *BROWS* benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in 4 I can’t stress how important brows are to your face. They add structure and frame the eyes! I don’t need much defining in my brows because I prefer a more natural look rather than super sculted- so a volumizing brow gel is perfect! This gel just beefs them up and adds a bit of color. *SHINE* NUDESTIX - LIP GLACE Nude in Cherry A little gloss always makes me feel fresh and put together! This gloss isn’t sticky and gives quite a bit of color which I love. This red shade is also super flattering and extremely glossy!
I've tried all of them and found this one suit me best!
My skin type: Combination-oily, acne-prone with enlarged pores 🙃Here is my review of the products I've tried to prepare the make-up base: 💖 smashbox - Photo Finish Reduce Redness Primer I bought a travel-size version of this at Sephora. It is really easy to blend, and it feels like a protective layer on my skin, making it look matte. It is also excellent at concealing pores, and is suitable for summer use for those with oily skin. 💖benefit - The POREfessional Face Primer I have large pores so I'll cover them using this on my nose and acne scars after applying primer. I find it does the job quite well. 💖 MAKE UP FOR EVER - Full Cover Concealer Highly recommended for girls with more serious facial blemishes!! It can either be applied to the entire face or just at spots you want to cover and a little of it can go a long way. It is a little dry, but that's not a big issue problem since you still need to apply foundation afterward. 💖 LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation It's a better than average concealer. Dab drops of it on your face then press it with a beauty blender (wet it then dry it off so that it's not too wet). It looks natural on my face and it doesn't get oily even after a couple of hours. The foundation contains rose essence, so it's very moisturizing. 💖 CHANEL - LE TEINT ULTRA TENUE Ultrawear Flawless Compact Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Sunscreen I use this occasionally for finishing touches and my skin becomes less oily after using it.
Worth it for $10?
I saw this Sephora favorites beauty icons set for $10 and had to have it. It’s really affordable and I wanted t try these out and see if it’s really worth the $10. Youth to the people superfood cleanser- I used this twice and omg I love it! I love the scent of this, it subtle and it smells kinda like lemongrass with green tea. It has a fresh green scent. I’m actually considering buying the full size and using the 15% off. It’s $36 for 8oz. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Cleanser Living proof restore repair hair mask- after using this I felt my hair smoother and detangle easier. I’ve only used this one time and so far it’s nice. If I end up liking this a lot maybe I’ll buy this. It’s $38 for 6.7oz which isn’t too bad but on the expensive side. Living proof. - Restore Mask Treatment Laneige water bank moisture cream- I really enjoyed this. It made my skin smoother and didn’t leave it tight at all. It’s $38 for 1.6oz. It’s more expensive than I thought. I’ve found more moisturizers that are affordable and feel the same. LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream Nudestix nudies all over face bronze color- I got this in the shade sunkissed. It’s a nice color but at times it doesn’t blend as quick as I want. Probably won’t buy this as I don’t need bronzers. $32 for 0.25 oz NUDESTIX - Nudies All Over Face Color Bronze + Glow Nars lipstick in the shade Tolède- it’s a really beautiful shade of pink. It’s a rosy pink color and it’s great for going out and for work. I will definitely buy the full size of this. $26 for a 0.12 oz NARS - Nars Lipstick Viktorrolf flowerbomb perfume sample- it smells nice but I don’t want to drop $85 for a 1oz bottle. VIKTOR&ROLF - Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum I would say this $10 kit is 100% worth it to me. There’s so many goodies to try out and if you don’t like most of it it’s ok cause you didn’t spend too much on it.
Beach babe contour stick ✨
I’m so happy I got multi-purpose stick as a complementary gift to try! The color is beautiful, and with the blending brush attached it’s so easy to blend. I can use this as a blush, lipstick, and even on my eyes! #GoNudeButBetter #contest #complimentary @Nudestix @influenster
my holy grail blushes
[These are the blushes I absolutely cannot live without!] COLOURPOP - Super Shock Blush Shade: 2 Cool 4 School & Quarters - 2 Cool 4 School is a nice matte finish and buildable - Quarters has tiny glitters but you can barely notice them. - Both are perfect for brown girls/deeper skin tones Glossier. - Cloud Paint Shade: Dusk - natural finish but isn’t long wearing - a little goes a long way - I feel like anyone can pull off this shade tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Shade: Kisses - Has tiny glitters in it and is very bright - For a rosy pink cheeks look
Battle of the Blushes 🏸
Two great blushes;two different pigments 🌷🌺 TOWER 28 - BeachPlease Tinted Lip + Cheek Balm 🏖 This cream blush (coral-like) is highly pigmented! And I love it! You can use your finger or a blush brush. I think it’s easier to blend with a brush. However, a little goes a LONG way! COLOURPOP - Super Shock Blush 💥 This powder blush (medium pink) is great! It takes more to get it on your cheeks but you don’t have to worry about overdoing it like with a cream blush. This one might work better if you like less of a pop! (p.s, I don’t think the photo does it justice-it’s very pink on my skin!) OVERALL;honestly, I think I like having both options for different occasions. It’s nice to have variety, therefore, both will last me a while going back and forth. I think I slightly like Tower 28 more JUST because it’s for eczema-prone skin, it’s multifunctional, AND the packaging...could it get any cuter?? 🧡
“No Makeup” Look
Loving this natural, glowy, “no-makeup” look. Perfect for the weekend! CHANEL - Rouge coco flash Shade: 56 Moment The formula is that of a balm and very comfortable. Provides a sheer splash of color to the lips, perfect to apply without a mirror. CHANEL - Les beiges water fresh tint Shade: Medium Light Provides barely there coverage - which is what I am loving lately! This is one of my favorite base products to use... so it’s always somewhere in the mix! CHANEL - LES 4 OMBRES Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow Shade: 266 Tissé Essentiel Very basic palette, but I love the neutral tones in this palette which creates a very subtle smokey-eye. Provides subtle definition. Perfect for the daytime. This is a very powdery palette though, wish the shadows were slightly more creamy. Kosas - REVEALER SUPER CREAMY + BRIGHTENING Concealer Shade: 3.5 Color tends to run on the more yellow side, I should have gotten shade 2 or 3 to brighten the under eye area. Overall though, I do like the formula. Very creamy and easy to blend. rms beauty - Un" Powder This gets the job done, not the best out there. But, there is no talc in this formula! rms beauty - LIVING LUMINIZER GLOW QUAD MINI I love color variety and travel size products - so extra brownie points since this quad allows me to play with shades that I otherwise would pass up on. This provides the subtle lit from within glow. Although, some of the shades you really do need to build up. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Shade: Dusk Can’t say enough good things about cloud paint. Love how easy it is to just pat into the face for a subtle flush of color. ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara Shade: After Midnight I have very short and straight lashes. This mascara makes them look so long! I have thrown out all my other mascaras and am only using this one! benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Shade: 4.5 Another one of those that always appear in my posts in terms of brow products!
FLAWLESS BASE: MATTIFYING POWDER
rms beauty - Un" Powder I love this powder SO MUCH. I use it every single day to set my T-zone to keep it matte and looking fresh. It blurs my pores and minimizes any fading throughout the day. I love how my skin looks when I’m wearing it and it makes my skin feel super soft too! I also love that there are only two ingredients in it so it minimizes the chance that I get ant irritations or congestion in my skin. This does have a tiiny bit of flashback, but to be honest I rarely take photos with flash on a day-to-day basis! If I know I’ll be out for the night, I’ll switch to my Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder for the day. (A post about it is coming soon!!!)
makeup in the military
🇺🇸 happy memorial day weekend! 🌊 explaination I’m an active duty service member in the Navy. Balancing femininity with the confines of a uniform can be pretty difficult at times. A lot of people question how much makeup I am allowed to wear and how/when. And I wear a full face! 🌊 so what can you wear? The general guidelines (lot of paraphrasing here) are that makeup must look natural looking, not be faddish, and not use overly bright colors/glitter. Special occasions do call for special looks, but I tend to wear the same products everyday. 🌊 what I do My goal is to make it look like I’m not wearing makeup even though I probably spent 30-40 minutes on my face that morning. I tend to skip eyeshadow to save time, especially with my hooded eyes. feel free to ask any questions! 🌊 My current daily makeup lineup Primer: Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer Concealer: MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Better Skin Concealer Setting Powder: REVOLUTION - Conceal & Fix Setting Powder Blush: Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Bronzer: Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer Brow Pencil ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Perfect Brow Pencil Brow Gel benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Setting Spray Urban Decay All Nighter Mascara Too Faced Damn Girl!

HOW TO LOOK GLOWY & AWAKE✨
My everyday makeup look is always with the goal of looking radiant and glowy because it always makes me feel more put together and confident ✨ Here are my go-to tips for looking more awake! 1) Eyebrows frame the face! benefit - Precisely My Brow Pencil Ultra Fine Shape & Define in 4 benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in 4 I always use a brow pencil and/or brow gel to fluff up my brows and add some color and more definition. 2) Concealer = bonus hours of sleep! ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Radiant Concealer in 2W No matter what kept you up last night, concealer always hides the evidence! It’s always one of the first things I do when applying my makeup because it instantly brightens under my eyes. 3) Double-up on the mascara! L'ORÉAL - Unlimited Length and Lift Waterproof Mascara Mascara lengthens and volumizes lashes which allow them to be a focal point of your look. Longer, thicker lashes also help to open up the eyes and defining them. 4) Add some blush/bronzer! NUDESTIX - Nudies All Over Face Color Bronze + Glow in Salty Siren & Terracotta Tan Adding color to the face always makes you look more youthful and radiant. I love to go a little heavier on the blush when my face is looking a little dull. I’m currently not into highlighter- but highlighter adds lots of glow too (duh!) 5) Optional: Sparkle RÓEN - 75° Warm Eye Shadow Palette I love a sparkly inner-corner highlight because it brings light and attention to the eyes and definitely makes them look bigger and more awake! Not everyone loves glitter or sparkle, but even a soft glowy champagne or satin finish eyeshadow can do the trick!

MILK FLEX IS THAT B
basically a full face of milk makeup 😇 honest review below! Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick Was not a love at first use, but now this is my go to! It really came down to how I was applying this foundation stick. I use the cream foundation brush from the milk x Sephora set. I’m just gonna day, YA NEED IT. + easy application ( brush, fingers, sponge ) + medium buildable coverage; little goes a long way + natural finish + has a smoothing and blur effect on skin + great for contour/highlight + sleek, sturdy and portable packaging - tacky finish without being set; I have to set this with a powder or my hair will literally stick to my face. Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer Bought this on a whim! I had seen a lot of people use it and even used it often on clients when I worked at Sephora, but never tried it on myself at that time. Now that I have it and use it, I absolutely LOVE IT! + great coverage; natural and buildable + minimal to no creasing + nice applicator + beautiful for under eye or highlighting Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder I’ve been using this powder since it’s launch day! My absolute favorite! So much product. It lasts forever.. I mean almost lol + translucent shades; light - *medium*- deep + nice consistency and texture + no cake face! + keeps any glow you’ve applied prior. Not too matte. + blur and smoothing effect + great packaging with a snap lid + screw on lid + great for travel + good for baking and lightly setting the face - sponge it comes with is “meh” - if you apply too much you will be VERY matte Milk MAKEUP - Flex Highlighter I’m honestly not big on highlighters, but wow I love this one! I thought it would be too heavy and blinding, but it is very buildable. I’m wearing the shade BLITZED + sleek and sturdy packaging; perfect compact mirror + nice color range + buildable! Not too heavy unless you want it to be! + soft and subtle glow + creamy and soft texture + minimal pan fallout AND that’s my honest review for these milk products!
