SUNSCREEN ROUND-UP ☀️
Ever since I was a pre-teen, my mom stressed the importance of sunscreen and protecting my skin from sun damage. Luckily I listened to my mom and started wearing sunscreen every. single. day. starting at 13. At almost a decade later, I must say that visibly there aren’t many changes or differences in my skin from when I was younger besides the normal aging of skin like pore size and acne breakouts. Although, I have seen a difference in my skin compared to some friends who don’t wear sunscreen on a daily basis. There are many factors that can effect your skin but sun protection is a main one that can be easily avoided to prevent premature wrinkles, sun spots, hyperpigmentation, etc. Sunscreen is a huuuge interest of mine so here are four super different formulas to compare! My Lazy Girl Makeup Routine
This routine is my go-to, everyday, makeup routine that takes less than 10 minutes. As you can see in my before photo, I have some redness and a couple of small breakouts. Typically what I focus on with my quick makeup routine is to even out my skin tone, add a bit of colour, and make my super blonde lashes & brows visible😆 1. First things first, I cleanse my skin with a micellar water and moisturize. If I have more time to get ready, I’ll go in with serums and treatments, but when I’m in a hurry I stick to basic skincare. 2. I always apply spf, and this SKINCEUTICALS - Physical Fusion Uv Defense SPF 50 is my absolute favourite. It’s tinted and gives such a nice healthy glow to the skin (it’s not shimmery or sparkly at all). 3. Next, I apply my FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick (in the shade Linen) under my eyes, around my nose, and on my chin to help cover up some redness. This formula is honestly not my favourite for concealer, it’s quite dry and sometimes hard to blend but I’m just trying to use it up. I also have the highlight and contour shades and I do not like the highlight at all but don’t mind the contour shade (again, they’re both very dry). 4. Then I go over my entire face with my HALEYS - Re:Cover Pressed Powder Foundation (in shade 2.15) I just love this stuff. I’m a big fan of powder foundations in general because I find them so quick and easy to use. This formula melts right into my skin and I don’t find it to be drying at all on me. It has great coverage and doesn’t appear to be caky or too powdery on my skin. 5. I love a multi-use product for saving time and this cocokind - Chagaglo Bronze Highlighter is just that. I use a little bit of it on my cheeks to warm up my face and also dab it on my eyelids to add a little bronzy shimmer. It’s creamy and blends out well but doesn’t slide all over the place - love this one! 6. Next I added a bit of the ILIA - Color Haze Multi-Use Pigment to my cheeks and lips, I have the shade Before Today and it’s a beautiful petal pink. 7. Now it’s time for brows and I always use my essence - Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara (in shade 03) this stuff is SO GOOD and it’s like $3, I always purchase multiples at a time so I never run out. This one is the perfect shade for me and gives my brows great definition, hold, and colour. 8. Next up - lashes. I just started using this HONEST - Extreme Length Mascara + Lash Primer and it’s awesome! It has a primer on one end and the mascara on the other. I’m super impressed with the length it gives my lashes and the formula is very black. 9. My last step is spritzing my face with my CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir , this is a step that I never miss. I feel like it really blends everything together and makes it look much more natural. #CheriePartner

2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid - this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer “light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour “fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip “little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner
2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Hermès
This look is inspired by models for Hermes for 2021 spring/summer fashion week. This look focuses on super dewy skin and a bold, red lip as the center of attention. This look was really easy to recreate and something I would actually rock IRL (except for the lack of mascara because mascara is bae). I’ve included the inspo photo from Allure. To add a glowy base to my complexion, I used Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid . I only ever use 1 pump of this oil-serum hybrid because I think any more makes me look like a grease ball. I applied this all over my face and dabbed a tiny amount onto my eyelids. This product is perfect for applying on bare skin, under makeup, and can even be used over makeup for a natural, wet-looking highlight. After I applied my complexion products, I dabbed a tiny amount onto the high points of my cheekbones. Sticking with the dewy theme, I used the ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in “balos”. I’m not sure if the models were wearing complexion products because their skin looked super natural, yet also “flawless”. Since I have some redness on my cheeks, I used this skin tint to even out my skin tone and amp up the dew. I lightly concealed underneath my eyes with the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer in “light peach”. The models don’t appear to be wearing any cheek products, though I did add a tiny bit of AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour in “fawn” to help sculpt my cheeks a tiny bit like the models. I finished the look off with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in “always red”. I’ve had a mini of this for quite a while. It’s beautiful, comfortable despite being matte, does leave a tint behind, and is long-wearing. This is the kind of lipstick that would last from the runway well into the after party (in non-COVID times, of course). The models don’t appear to be wearing any mascara, so I skipped that. I filled in my brows a bit more than usual for a fuller appearance. I used the essence - Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in “dark brown”. Such a fun look! You guys it’s sooo hard not to smile. How do models do it?! 🤪 Look for another fashion week look soon. All brands are cruelty-free except for Sephora Collection. Prices: futuredew $24, skin tint $46, concealer $6, contour stick $1, lip stain (full size) $15, brow pencil $3.50 #Cherie Partner

Friendly reminder to use spf today! ☀️
You gotta love spf! It protects your skin from uva/uvb rays and helps to prevent early signs of aging. Helps slow down the process of forehead wrinkles, crows feet, sun/dry patches and even skin cancer! It’s important to use this even on cloudy days. Remember to use a spf for your hands as well. Everyone should wear spf. Doesn’t matter if your complexion is fair, light, medium, tan, dark or richer dark. A few years back I didn’t like the feeling of spf but it was because I was using the wrong ones. I was using cheaper spfs that left a white cast on my face/ felt too greasy. I bought many different travel sized ones to figure out which were best for me. I have sensitive combination skin so my cheeks and chin are dry and my forehead and nose is really oily. My favorite spfs are: supergoop! Play everyday lotion spf 50. This is super soft and gentle on my skin. It spreads evenly and doesn’t leave a white cast or greasy. 2.4 oz for $22.00 Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract Supergoop! Unseen sunscreen spf 40. This is clear and feels really soft. This would be great for oily skin. Whenever I use this it leaves my skin slightly matte. Doesn’t leave my skin greasy. 1.7 oz for $34.00 Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Coola classic body spf 50. I love this for my body. I also use this on my face. Doesn’t smell strong. 5 oz for $28.00 COOLA - Classic Body SPF 50- Guava Mango Up&up sport sunscreen lotion spf 50. One of the most affordable and really good spf I’ve used. This target spf is surprisingly good. It does have that spf smell unfortunately but it fades away once you’ve been wearing it for a few minutes. It feels kind of like the supergoop lotion texture. 16 oz and it’s only $8.99!
Sensitive Skin Ingredients
This is a great guide to show skin sensitive issues ingredients! When I was dealing with skin barrier inflammation, some of these products saved my life. Ingredients I swear by: Aloe Vera: this is great for inflammation and red skin. The plant is amazingly effective, but you can also buy the 100% gel at your local store as well! Fruit of the Earth - Aloe Vera 100% Gel SKINFOOD - Aloe Vera 93% Soothing Gel Green Tea: The tea is a favorite I drink every morning, but I also love this in mask form! TONYMOLY - I'm Real Green Tea Sheet Mask Vitamin C Derivative: There’s many forms of Vitamin C. The strongest, L- Ascorbic Acid, is mostly toted for their effects, but there are other options. Sodium Ascorbly Phosphate, Magnesium Ascorbly Phospahte, etc. If you have skin sensitivity (burning, tingling, etc) to Vitamin C I recommend : Seoul Ceuticals - 20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum Lukewarm Water to Rinse: I recommend this no matter type of skin you have. Hot water can dry your face out, making you skin more irritable and sensitive. Less is Key: When experiencing sensitivity it can often be associated to new products and the amount you use on your face. You do not need a 10 step routine to treat skin issues I found when I was using 3-4 steps my skin was treated just as effectively, you just need to find what works for your skin. Mineral sunscreen: There are two types of sunscreen physical and mineral. Physical are usually chemical based and can cause irritation. Some great mineral sunscreens I’ve tried: Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50 My skin is not as sensitive as it was before but this is great photo I got from (babeandbeauty on IG).
Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50
SKINCEUTICALS - Physical Fusion Uv Defense SPF 50 If you’re looking for a great tinted sunscreen, this is the one! Key ingredients are titanium oxide and zinc oxide! Makes my skin appear glowy - not too greasy either. This sunscreen reminds me of my maybelline foundation that I use whenever I want simple makeup. It definitely covers a little bit of my post-breakout hyperpigmentation. 10/10. Perfect for all skin types. Keep in mind there are silicones in this product. So if you don’t like silicones or find them irritating, this might not be for you. I am a fan of silicones such as dimethicone and is the highest active ingredient on there. Great ingredient if you have dehydration and need some moisture in your skin. Also, another great thing about this product is it does not irritate or peel off after applying! ❤️ Visit our website feuxbeauty.com for more skincare

Supergoop Trial Set = Some Loves, and Some Nots
Supergoop! - The Jet Set SPF Kit Overall, this kit is a good price to try some cult favorites from this brand. I would buy 2/3 products full size, but I will get into the specifics down below. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 MY FAVORITE OUT OF THIS SET! Makes my skin so unbelievably soft, matte, and of course protected! I have no choice but to purchase the full size. My skin is super sensitive, and this is perfect for summer to keep in my bag. I don’t see how anyone could give this less than 5 stars. My face gets so oily sitting in the sun, and this is the best product to keep around to prevent sun damage while not clogging my pores! Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 30 with Sunflower Extract To be completely honest, I could do without this product. I was not wowed, and there wasn’t much that I liked about it. I’m glad I got to try it, because I was intrigued by the SPF 50, but I just didn’t like this product for me. Supergoop! - Defense Refresh (Re)setting Mist SPF 40 I LOVE the concept of this product. It is such a great thing to have around if you don’t want to keep globing on sunscreen throughout the day. And I definitely think it works! I think I would repurchase, because it adds to the value of the Unseen Sunscreen, making sure I don’t waste any product! If you’re interested in getting into this brand, I think this travel kit is a good way to see what works for you!

SPF 50+ PA++++ ! Helps protect all uva and rays This is a weightless application. I gave it a try after the peach and lily founder suggested it. I love it! This is absorbed easily into your skin and is not greasy at all. I have no problem with makeup as well! For the price this is worth it! 2 for 21! ·11· VILLAGE FACTORY - Daily Mild Sun Cream Pair

Let’s talk about Sunscreen habits!
If I am picking one product to take with me to a deserted island, it’s sunscreen. Not just because it’s sunny there, but because it’s SO important to your skin! W H Y S U N S C R E E N ? In a word: Protection. The sun, while gloriously warm, radiates Ultraviolet Rays (UVA and UVB) which our unprotected skin simply can’t fight off on its own for very long. By using sunscreen, we build a blocker for our skin against UV rays. Why do UV rays matter so much? Sun damage: those dark spots, saggy or leathery skin, and wrinkles. Aside from those signs of photo-aging, there is also the risk of skin cancer that arises from frequent unprotected exposure to the sun. W H A T K I N D S H O U L D Y O U U S E ? There are two main kinds of sunscreens: Mineral (Or Physical blockers) and Synthetic (Chemical blockers). Both are effective for protecting your skin, they only differ in HOW they protect you. Mineral sunscreen (sometimes also deceptively sold as Organic sunscreen) works as a shield that doesn’t allow UV rays to penetrate the skin, but instead reflects them. While Synthetic sunscreen (sometimes referred to as inorganic or chemical) work by absorbing the UV rays and converting them into heat - which your skin then releases. Not sure which type you’re using? It’s easy to tell: mineral sunscreens contain one of two main active ingredients: zinc oxide and titanium oxide. If yours has something other than one of those, you’re holding a synthetic/chemical one. W H O S H O U L D U S E S U N S C R E E N ? Everyone! Doesn’t matter how fair or dark you are, you should protect your beautiful, but fragile, skin at all times. W H E N D O Y O U U S E I T ? Ideally, everyday, in all seasons. We really only associate sunscreen with warm weather, but UV rays can penetrate your skin 365 days a year. Also, those rays penetrate windows. So, don’t be fooled that you’re escaping them by being inside. TL; DR - Sun damage is real and sometimes you can’t even feel it happening. Aside from the scary stuff (cancer), Photo-aging is an unfortunate, but preventable, side effect of sun damage. Regardless of how many serums, creams or masks you use, sun damage can catch up to you. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter which type of sunscreen you use (based on active ingredients), as long as you are using it appropriately. Pick one you love to use and stick with it. Don’t get caught up in the flashy marketing, just make sure you’re picking one that suits your needs. Read up on ones that are best for your skin type: if you sweat a lot, or sensitive, or even acne-prone! I carry a powder one with me at all times for re-application. Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 And my go-to in the mornings with a fresh face is SHISEIDO - WetForce Expert Sun Aging Protection Cream Plus SPF50+ Ps- wearing sunscreen doesn’t prevent you from actually tanning, that’s just a silly myth 😉 ✌🏼
Supergoop!-100% Mineral Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45
PERFECT SUNSCREEN FOR SUMMER? ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ Well, I thought I'd found the perfect mineral-based sunscreen in Thinksport SPF 50+ Sunscreen which comes with 20% zinc oxide.🌞🌞🌞 This sunscreen is exceptionally wearable for a sports sunscreen. It is water resistant, and applies really well without me looking ghastly or feeling like an oil slick.👩🏻 The whitecast is visible on first application but disappears on my fair skin after blending. I can't promise no whitecast if you're a lot darker. This could have been the perfect sports sunscreen that I can use daily. It just missed by a hair because it contains silicone and I don't like to use skin care products containing silicones.🧐🙁 While they make application smoother, silicones are known to coat the skin, making it impossible for the skin to breathe. So to conclude, I'll recommend this as a sports sunscreen but not one you want to use daily. Price is affordable—retails for around US$24 at iHerb.💰 Interestingly, it shares the same ingredients as Thinkbaby. Anyone tried their sunscreens?
Makeup Must-Have for Acne-Prone Skin
I’ve never had success with makeup products that claim to fight/clear acne (I’ve gone through so many acne-fighting foundations and concealers BELIEVE ME!) So, these days I’ve been more focused on using products that are formulated without pore-clogging ingredients. One that’s really been working wonders for my skin has been Supergoop!’s 100% Mineral Matte Screen Primer, which controls oil and shine and wears so well under makeup it’s amazing. Since it’s a mattifying primer that contains mineral sunscreen, I was nervous that it wouldn’t be hydrating enough for me but it’s vitamin E-argan oil blend really does the trick.
