I tend to always go for a nude / mauve / neutral lip color and I think I have FINALLY found one of my favorite combos for just that. And I think it would look great on all skin tones! It is KKW lip liner in “nude 1” and Dose of Colors lipstick from the Desi x Katy collection in the shade “hey girl”. The second image is a photo of me wearing the lip combo 🤍 I linked the KKW liner for you guys, I really love her lip liner formula! It’s very creamy but it doesn’t break on you while applying. And the nude collection is beautiful i can’t wait to try more. This lip liner is the perfect color for my skin tone and helps create a more natural looking over-lining. It’s perfect for creating a plumper lip look and works with basically any lip product I have! A touch of oil did start to peak through but that was with about 8hrs with of wear. It oxidized a touch so I think I’d get a shade lighter to try out. NYX - Epic Wear Eye & Body Liquid Liner love this liner. It’s dark and easy to apply. A little hard to remove, even with my professional products. But I do love it benefit - Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer this was my go to after I ran out of my Mac brow pencil. I like that it has a little more length to the pencil so I can hold it better. I wish the product was a little firmer so I’m able to make more defined hair strokes. laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder love this setting powder. Sometimes I’ll use a powdered foundation if I need a little more coverage but I typically set my whole face sigh this powder. I don’t bake since power dries out my under eye area but this powder keeps my skin smooth. It also blends well with my contour powder and my highlight powders.

As a May 2020 graduate, I’ve been doing a lot of interviews and phone calls over the quarantine period for jobs and internships. Along the way I picked a few key tips for achieving a flawless, professional makeup look perfect for video calls. All I want is to make the impression that I’m put together and perfect for the role! Of course, everyone has different kinds of makeup looks, and specific parts of makeup that make it “signature” to them (like a strong winged liner, or bold lip, or even a super bare natural face!). But for me, my “signature” looks is something quite fresh-faced, glowy skin, defined eyes and a tinted lip! Tips: 1) Stay true to yourself! If you never wear a red lip, don’t wear a red lip to the interview. If you always have a beautiful eyeshadow look on, definitely put some eyeshadow on! The truth is, when you feel most like yourself, the more confident you will appear to others. 2) Video calls tend to wash you out, so if you’re applying a color product maybe add a little more than usual! Here is what I used: HOURGLASS - Illume Sheer Color Trio This is a the perfect product to bronze, blush AND highlight the face! The formula is super creamy and soft, but definitely packs a punch with its pigment. The highlight also gives off a beautiful glow on camera! ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Radiant Concealer I don’t feel the need for a foundation on camera as blemishes are generally not visible depending on video resolution. But I have really bad under eye circles that can make me look tired, so I always want a little concealer just to brighten up my face and eyes. This one is medium coverage with a natural finish on the skin. COLOURPOP - Brow Boss Pencil I always define my brows because they help to frame the face. This is an amazing inexpensive one that has the perfect waxy formula for adding fullness to the brows that looks natural. NUDESTIX - Magnetic Luminous Eyeshadow Defining my eyes is important to me because it’s a feature of my face that I really like. So a little glowy eyeshadow helps to bring attention to my eyes, helps me look a little more awake and defines it a little more. MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Mascara Full Fan Effect I know it’s near impossible to see individual lashes on video call but it helps a lot with defining my eyes! It also makes me feel more put together too just because I’d feel off if I had a full face of makeup and didn’t have mascara on. lisa eldridge - True Velvet Lipstick in Velvet Muse This is one of my favorite matte lipsticks because it’s super pigmented, non-drying but gives a matte finish. I add a little balm beforehand to keep my lips moisturized and to sheer the color a little. This is definitely a my-lips-but-better kind of shade.

I love a soft, blurry lip look because it looks so effortless and natural, but super long-lasting and low maintenance! Here are my top choices for a blotted lip: 1) lisa eldridge - True Velvet Lipstick in Velvet Muse This velvet lip formula is super creamy and pigmented, but doesn’t cling to dry patches! I usually dot it on the lips and pat to blend! 2) Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in Like & Cake This lipstick was formulated to give a blotted, stained effect to the lips. It’s incredibly creamy but sheer - a very unique formula compared to all my lipsticks. Just one layer of this gives a very natural stained look- a few extra swipes makes it more of a pigmented matte lip! 3) COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip in Doozy This liquid lipstick is super sheer and lightweight so it gives the lips a soft wash of color without being too overpowering. I usually wear a balm underneath because it tends to be more drying than the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks and Glossier Gen G lipsticks.
