Would I Buy This Night Cream Again?
Fresh’s Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Face Cream ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 / 5 Fresh’s website claim: “A cutting-edge night recovery cream powered by antioxidant Super Lotus that helps strengthen the skin barrier while fighting dullness and dehydration.” I have been using this for a few weeks now and my skin seems fine. That said, I was kicking myself when I received two of the creams I had bought from Fresh without first having checked the ingredients for the dreaded “parfum” (fragrance). I already have concerns about products that have any fragrance, even if it’s just the natural scent (the whole “no added fragrances” bit) but added fragrance? No. Why don’t I like any fragrance?: * Lots of fragrances, particularly synthetic ones, can cause a migraine for me. * Fragrances can irritated the skin. * Fragrance in skincare items can seem perfectly fine at first but over time a person can develop an allergy to NOT ONLY that particular fragrance but also to other ingredients in the product that they otherwise wouldn’t have had any issues with. That last part is particularly problematic because it then removes many other products that you would have been able to use from due to the multiple new irritants, allergies and/or sensitivities you’ve acquired. Certain fragrances can be really lovely and hard to resist. Some people have no issues at all, but as a person with sensitive, temperamental skin, I don’t like to risk it. I do use scented soaps, scrubs, the occasional perfume and a couple or body/face mists every now and again but when it comes to skincare, it’s unnecessary and can be harmful. I really don’t like to risk it but so far so good. It’s light-medium in weight, smooth in texture. I feel like it doesn’t rub in as much as I’d like but that may be due to it being a night mask. I’ve never tried a proper night mask so I’m wondering if they’re supposed to sort of stay partially on top of the skin and maybe seep in slowly throughout the night? If you know how they’re supposed to work, let me know. It’s worthy to note that, while I never want fragrance in my skincare products, this one is very light and, in and of itself, is nice. A sort of sweet citrus. It’s not heavy or invasive. That said, due to the risks associated with fragrances, I don’t think I’ll repurchase fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer

Is This Worth The Hype?
Sunday Riley’s A+ Retinol ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I had been using Drunk Elephant’s A-Passioni DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream for months and I liked it a lot but I’d been wanting to try SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum retinol. So far, I love it. It works so well with my skincare routine and hasn’t caused any irritation or breakouts. I use it every other day, as I use retinol on one day and AHA/BHA/Acid Toner on the next, and so forth and it’s been smooth sailing. I like that it’s not heavy. It’s really similar to a serum, goes on easily and absorbs relatively well. Overall, I’m very pleased and will be going over my full skincare routine soon!

Antipodes’ “Grace” Gentle Cream Cleanser & Makeup Remover ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 / 5 I think this is a really lovely gentle cleanser. I use it as my first step when I double cleanse. It is billed as: 100% Natural, Cruelty-Free, Vegan & Organic. While it doesn’t call itself an oil cleanser, I kind of assume it has those properties as it states that it removes makeup and the number one ingredient is avocado oil. That may not be the correct assumption, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. It’s texture is a really nice cream and has a *very* light, natural almond scent. Antipodes’ Grace is said to be “suited to most skin types, especially sensitive” and I would agree that this could be really beneficial, especially if you’ve maybe done a little too much exfoliating or caused some irritation to your skin. The avocado oil is soothing and moisturizing. Due to it containing avocado OIL, I’m not positive if it is the number one choice for people with oily skin types but I also think that this formula might be better than a pure oil because it comes in a cleanser style. However that is simply speculation on my part. Labeled under Features & Details* it says: * 100% of ingredients sourced from nature * "Dermatogically tested for sensitive skin Independent laboratory study: 50 women with sensitive skin" * "Nutrient-rich Avocado Oil. Avocado oil is abundant in natural antioxidants. Deliver the benefits of everyday nutrients to your skin with potent level of Vitamins A, B1, B2 and D as well as Omegas 3 and 9. " * "Vinanza Oxifend A super antioxidant-rich & anti-inflammatory blend of New Zealand grown pinot noir red grape skins and sauvignon blanc grapeseeds. " * "Marigold Bloom Marigold bloom, also known as calendula, blissfully soothes and effectively cleans skin. " (*Source: Amazon’s product page) I would definitely purchase ANTIPODES - Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser again!

GlamGlow’s GentleBubble ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 / 5 GlamGlow’s GentleBubble GLAMGLOW - GENTLEBUBBLE is one or my top go-to face washes. * It’s gentle and it doesn’t feel like it strips the skin. * My skin doesn’t feel crazy dry or tight right after using it (though I do apply a moisturizer after). * The scent is minimal, so much that it may not really have any. * It’s not too thin or too thick/sticky, so it’s a really simple wash. * My skin can be sensitive and, with the exception of using on broken skin, this has never caused any stinging or irritation. I like how simple this is. It is easy to use when you’re washing your face at the sink. Some face washes are really thick and have a grip that makes washing at the sink really messy but GentleBubble is not that, thankfully. I would definitely recommend this as a basic face wash.
LUSH Haul Reviews
From most to least loved: LUSH - Big Shampoo I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO! I have fine hair and I’m always looking for volume. All kinds of shampoo promise volume but this one actually delivers. Do I get Dolly Parton hair? No. But do I see some extra oomph? Yes. I imagine it has to do with the sea salt. And the smell? Heavenly. I used to use this with a conditioner bar that Lush no longer carries. I think it had maybe a coconut smell? It was also said to help with volume. The bar conditioners never did much for me but the smell kept me around. I remember being in the desert and having washed my hair like 24-36 hours ago and still getting wafts of the incredible scent! 😻 LUSH - Rub Rub Rub I love a good body scrub. I’m partial to sugar scrubs now because salt scrubs can occasionally cause stinging on any cuts or small wounds (I have cats and I roller skate, so I always have some sort of wound 🤣) but this one never bothered me. It has enough of grit to feel like it’s doing it’s job but wasn’t harsh at all. I think if you’re looking for a scrub on the more gentle side, this is a perfect choice. L LUSH - Ocean Salt FACE AND BODY SCRUB This was fine and I bought it a couple times but I’m not particularly impressed. As far as a facial exfoliant, I would say it’s more mild than a lot out there but as we’re learning more and more, we should be using physical exfoliants wayyy less, instead opting for chemical exfoliants (like AHAs/BHAs). This one isn’t something I’d recommend but it’s also not something I would knock out of a friends hand in fear they might cause serious damage to their skin if used infrequently. LUSH - Silky Underwear The name elicited visions of an almost shimmery after-bath powder that would feel, well, silky. It did not. I no longer have it but I remember it feeling coarser than expected. It wasn’t abrasive but it wasn’t really smooth. Just kind of like talc, if I recall correctly. This is an older photo I took years ago. I still buy some of these (BIG shampoo, RUB RUB RUB body scrub) but definitely don’t care for others. Lush used to have this “shaving cream” called “Ambrosia” and just... no. Unless you are using a true straight razor, it was a mess. Each stroke of the razor where Ambrosia has been applied to the skin gunked up and clogged the razor blades. It was sort of waxy or oily and thick so simply rinsing the razor didn’t cut it. It was an absolute mess. I assume that’s why they no longer sell it. I wanted to go over that one since it’s in the photo in case anyone was curious.
Are You Kitten Me? 😺
I Dew Care’s Namaste Kitten Face Wash ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I think this is a nice face wash (and as a cat lover, I think the name is adorable). The company is a Korean skincare cruelty-free brand and lists this product as vegan, gluten-free and paraben-free (if you’re worried about parabens). It lists this as a cleanser for normal, oily, combination and dry skin types. I don’t use this one every day. I keep it in my shower and use it occasionally. It’s on the thicker side and you can really lather it up. It lists the key ingredients as: * Cannabis Sativa (hemp oil) “known to nourish” * Maritime Pine Back Extract “helps nourish” * Heart Leaf Extract “calms and clarifies” Namaste Kitten seems to really take off whatever daily residue is on your skin because it makes it literally “squeaky clean”. You know how some cleansers do that? I honestly don’t know if that’s a good, bad or neutral thing, but it makes me think it’s taking off more than a really basic cleanser like GlamGlow’s “GentleBubble” or Cosrx’s “Cica” cleanser. My skin has never complained or seemed irritated after using this but I feel like it’s probably extra important to use a moisturizer afterwards.

Low Coverage Dewy Base
This is definitely my go to process and products for a light everyday natural makeup look that looks super nice and glowy!! 1. Skin O2 Mineral BB Foundation I absolutely love this one as a base as it is super nice and light so it doesn’t feel thick or get cakey but it’s also really good for those with very sensitive skin. I will say however, this is veryyyy low coverage and if you’re looking to cover acne well I wouldn’t recommend. I use more to add tone to my face and achieve that dewy look. I also use a shade that is a tad darker than my actual skin tone, this works alright as it is low coverage and I lighten up the high points of my face later with concealer and setting powder. 2. Omnie Beauty Cover Perfection Magic Conceaer Although I wouldn’t say the crazy coverage abilities that this brand advertises are completely true I would still say that this is a great concealer and has worked great for me in the past. In saying that it is quite a high coverage concealer and can be used for covering acne but for this look I’m cautious only to use a small amount on the high points of my face and under eyes to achieve the natural dewy “no makeup” look. 3. Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder This is a fantastic setting power if you’re looking for something light that doesn’t make your skin base cakey. I also love this one for going out and glam makeup looks because it does not flash back. In order to really get that dewy look I apply this with a beauty blender(or any kind of sponge) that I have spritzed with a bit of setting spray(that I’ll talk about in a sec) before then applying to the areas that I previously applied concealer. 4. Kat Von D Lock It Makeup Setting Mist I can not express enough how much I love this setting spray! This genuinely does Lock In you’re makeup and I especially love using this on detailed eye looks to avoid smudging and fading. I use this paired with the Too Faced setting powder as mentioned before to not only ensure that it does go dry and cakey but to really set in the concealer and powder. Absolute must have!! Of course you can also add your own bronzer, highlight, blush etc but usually I prefer not to just to keep it looking as natural as possible, but that’s up too you!

I’d say this eyelash curler and mascara combo is a keeper!!!! 😍 (also, ignore my weird ass beauty mark between my eyebrows..... 🤣🤣) A few posts ago, I shared 3 new things I got from Sephora. Two of those things was a KEVYN AUCOIN - KEVYN AUCOIN The Eyelash Curler and the other was a KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Go Big or Go Home Volumizing Mascara I used them for the first time today’s and I’m loving them!!!! The eyelash curler gave me no pinching, didn’t rip out any eyelashes, and I could barely feel it around my eyes at all and did such an amazing job and the mascara is to die for! No clumping, went on so smooth, and just effortlessly combed out my eyelashes. Definitely volumizing!!! What do you think!?!

How To Minimize Pore Size
Your pores are essentially small openings in the skin that excrete oil and sweat, and if these get clogged or the surrounding skin gets damaged, they may appear more prominent. Contrary to popular belief, pores don’t open or close. Nothing will make them physically shrink or grow. But, there are some methods that can reduce the appearance of enlarged pores!
Cleopatra Milk Bath
I happen across this gem in a local store & I fell in love.. It makes you feel like Cleopatra having a milk bath. Milk Lait is 💯 natural 💕 and comes in a cute reusable glass bottle. The key ingredients are baking soda, whole milk powder, and ground oatmeal powder. It makes your bath water turn into this soft milky color and leaves your skin feeling super soft and nourished. I purchased the rice flower scent which doesn’t have much of a scent more like a light hint of oatmeal. On there website they have a variety of other scents rose, lavender, honey suckle & more. This is my new favorite bath time body treat and I just ordered the rose scent. It’s runs about $20.00 on there website but is worth it. Only takes 3 tablespoons in running bath water to get the benefits & the milky water affect. I give it a 5/5 ⭐️ Dot & Lil - Rice Flower Milk Bath

OVERTONE HAIR DYES!!
Hey guys!! I wanted to share my thoughts on the Overtone products, since I haven't seen many posts about their products. Here we go: OVERTONE - Pink Coloring Conditioner - I LOVE THIS COLOR SO MUCH!! It shows up so well on light/medium hair and it's perfect for a bold statement that's not bright red. OVERTONE - Rose Gold for Brown Hair Coloring Conditioner - perfect for those who wanted the rose gold one but would be too light for their hair. It's much stronger and richer than the regular system, so it's easier to get pink hair. OVERTONE - Rose Gold for Brown Hair Coloring Conditioner but original rose gold - I give this four stars because I was using it up so fast because it wasn't strong enough for my light brown/dark blonde hair. I'm thankful for the Rose Gold for Brown Hair conditioners because they fix this problem. (PS I tried creating a new product and it kept showing up as the rose gold for brown hair, so I gave up on the adding product thing.) All their products moisturize hair SUPER WELL to leave hair super soft and they are just so well made. Takeaway: use liberally if you want your hair to really be the color you want, and use less if you want a tinted look. In the pics, I used the pink and rose gold for brown hair. I put the brown hair rose gold throughout my hair, with highlights of pink and regular rose gold. It turned out how I wanted it to, after leaving it in for about an hour / hour and a half. Honestly, the longer the better for these colors, since brighter ones need to be left in longer than the "5-15" mins on the daily conditioner (the bottle) container. I recommend AT LEAST 30 minutes of leave-in time for the tub conditioner if you have short hair above the shoulders and an hour or longer for hair that is down the back, since the 5-15 minute time written on the website is really a good amount of time for the daily conditioner, not the tub of the heavy-duty stuff.
