THIS DERMATOLOGISTS FAVORITE NEW CLEANSER
Cleansers are an essential step in everyone’s skincare routine, but it can be difficult to find the right one for your skin. The new Aveeno Calm + Restore nourishing oat cleanser has been my new go-to daily cleanser and I love it. ❤️🙌 Aveeno has always been a brand to create formulations that target dry and sensitive skin and this cleanser is no different. This cleanser is great for people all skin types but would likely benefit dry or combination skin most. The incorporated oat complex helps restore build the skin’s moisture barrier and soothe itchy skin. There is no stripping effect with this cleanser, which is something too always look for with your cleanser. Other pros about this product are its fragrance free (limiting any irritant reactions) as well as great pricing. On amazon, you can find a bottle for under $10.‼️‼️ TRUTH: If you are trying to fight acne or blackheads I recommend against this cleanser and try finding something with salicylic acid. Have you tried the new Aveeno cleanser? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! ⤵️

2020s Biggest Trend: Dermatologist Approved
The biggest trend in 2020 is PERSONLIZRD SERUMS. I tried #Atolla and here are my genuine thoughts (SURPRISE AT THE END OF CAPTION!) Do you ever feel like there are too many skincare products out there and have no idea what you need? Trust me, it’s happened to me too! I have been using #ATOLLA which is a company that formulates serums with a mixture of ingredients to target with your skin needs. Here are some of the benefits: 1) The serum is personalized for your skin. 2) you are able to monitor your skin changes each month with a skin test 3) Your formulation is altered monthly to target your problem areas. 4) It formulates several key ingredients into one serum, rather than buying separate creams. 5) it takes into account the products you are currently using. My initial skin concerns when completing my skin quiz with Atolla was battling dry skin as well as skin hyperpigmentation. They sent me a product with vitamin C complex as well as Alpha Arbutin. Vitamin C acts as my antioxidant against sun damage, evens out my hyperpigmentation, increases collagen, and increases hydration. Combining this with alpha arbutin, which targets the enzyme that produces pigment, only further reduced my hyperpigmentation. Like everything, results did not come overnight, but with consistent use, I was able to really even out my skin pigment and hydrate my skin. 🎉🎉🎉CHERIE SURPRISE 🎉🎉🎉 I've asked Atolla to give my CHERIE APP followers an exclusive code “DRCHRIS” for 25% off! Excited to see what you guys think!! 🙌🙌 Atolla - Custom Serum INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN:⤵️ The vitamin C helps with collagen growth, hyperpigmentation, as well as sun damage. The Alpha arbutin targets primarily hyperpigmentation creating an even skin tone. Depending on your product, you can use it in the morning or night.
*NEW* VERSED PRODUCT REVIEW BY DERMATOLOGIST ‼️
Chemical exfoliation is becoming more and more popular in a basic skincare routine. I prefer chemical exfoliation with AHA and BHAs because it's gentler on sensitive skin than mechanical exfoliation. The new Versed Doctor’s Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask has been great for my skin. It comes in a jelly-like consistency and easy to spread across the face. It contains: - glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid which help fade dark spots, smooth overall skin texture, and unclog pores You don’t get that burning or stinging feeling as well, more of a tingle. Make sure you don’t use it more than three times a week and avoid using it the same day as retinol. **Note retinol also acts as an exfoliant and if used together will likely cause more breakouts and irritation. Use the product at night, after a gentle cleanser. Follow it up with your favorite moisturizer and don’t forget your sunscreen the next morning! Let me know if you’ve tried the product! DERMATOLOGIST APPROVED SKINCEUTICALS VIT C DUPE
Vitamin C is such a popular ingredient in skincare routines today and for good reason. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps fight against free radical damage from the sun, increase collagen growth, and evens skin tone. But which one should you pick? Skinceuticals vitamin C has been well studied and formulated into a stable compound with ferulic acid and Vitamin E, the only problem is that it's $166! Over the years many vitamin C products have been launch with varied efficacy. Maelove's antioxidant "The Glow Maker" serum is a great alternative for SkinCeuticals. Like Skinceuticals, Maelove has 15% L ascorbic acid (the most important ingredient), as well as ferulic acid ad Vitamin E. Maelove's serum is stable and very effective. The best part it's only $28! I recommending using your Vitamin C in the morning after cleansing. You get most of your sun damage during the day and therefore would want to have the vitamin C working to fight the sun damage. Results take weeks, I typically say use the product for 4-6 weeks before expecting consistent results. If you tried the product, please let me know your thoughts in the comment!
