Welcome to my cleanser corner
Welcome to my cleanser corner 💖 We’ve got micellar waters, oils, milks, and sticks. Some foam, some exfoliate, and some…vibrate? ✨For the past 2 weeks, I’ve been using the holisticbeauties Best Face Friend cleansing device to upgrade my nighttime cleansing routine. After putting my cleanser on, I wet this waterproof, hand-held tool and gently pass it across my face. I let it pulsate for about 3 seconds at each point before moving on. The vibrations from the silicone bristles slough off dead skin cells, and this manual exfoliation allows my routine to penetrate more deeply. There are 15 speed settings, but I think that’s overkill - I’ve only ever used the standard setting and find it sufficient. ✨I’ve been really surprised by the results, because my face feels so incredibly smooth after using. I love how this device has a USB charger that lasts up to 400 uses per charge (!), which means that I don’t have to worry about corroding batteries or recharging it too frequently. This makes it easy to care for; I just wash with soap and water and let it dry in a sunny place. At the end of each week I wipe it down with alcohol (Kirkland brand vodka leftover from a party to be exact 🍸). ✨I’m a convert to silicone cleansing devices. While the BFF is the only one that I have ever tried, I know there are a lot out there. My guess is that they perform more or less the same, with some differences in feature set that you make a tradeoff for based on price.

Cute & Inexpensive Starter Facial Massage Kit
Cute & Inexpensive Starter Facial Massage Kit
Pretty Cool Beauty kindly sent me their Rose Quartz Massage Set. 💕 This 6 piece kit is a great starter kit for those who want to experiment with beauty tools. The best part is the whole set is available on Amazon for $22! The set comes with a rose quartz roller, gua sha stone, silicone face brush, silicone face scrubber, headband & pouch. The rose quartz roller is my favorite! Sturdy, high quality & so cute. I love that the metal is rose gold to match the pink theme. The gua sha stone is also great quality and the perfect multi-functional shape for a beginner stone. The headband is not great quality— it’s thin & was almost too short to fit my head. The silicone facial scrubber was also not my favorite— it just felt a little harsh and abrasive, but my skin is very sensitive.

Clarisonic Mia 1
Clarisonic Mia 1
Here’s Lil up close and personal selfie for you guys. I love my Clarisonic Mia 1! This was one of my first big girl purchase when I started working at UNIQLO, 6 years ago. I use this religiously. It’s gentle enough for everyday use and leaves my face feeling healthy and clean. I alternate between the regular and sensitive brush heads depending on how my skin feels. I replace the brush heads about every 3 months. It works well to remove all the make up and dead skin cells. Today, with the Sephora gift card from Cherie, I was able to upgrade to the new Clarisonic Mia Smart! I received an email from Sephora today, saying the it Cosmetics X Clarisonic Mia Smart set is on sale again. It’s like they knew... It was meant to be! I’m so thankful for this Cherie community! It has given me an opportunity to just be myself and has been helping me cope with my daily stresses. As, I scroll through the awesome content and honest reviews, I feel inspired. I know that someone out there will find my reviews helpful or be even educated about the ingredients. I am so happy to be a part of this experience! Stay tuned for my Clarisonic Mia Smart review! It says it’ll get here by the 17th. I am counting down the days!

Foreo Luna Fofo Review
Foreo Luna Fofo Review
Product: Foreo Luna Fofo Price: $89 Product function/Target Concerns: This electric face cleansing brush utilizes silicone bristles with sonic power to target any dirt and oil you may have on your skin, while helping to exfoliate your skin by removing dead skin cells! Texture/Consistency: the bristles on this brush are soft and bend easily, but it also has thicker, more coarse bristles towards the top that allow for a deeper clean for clogged pores. My opinion: I really wanted to try this because it has sensor technology on the back of the brush that tests the moisture levels in your skin, which was a neat feature, however, I quickly realized that this was not very accurate or helpful. Sensor technology aside, the brush helped exfoliate my skin and keep it very smooth. I was also excited to try this cleansing brush because it is made out of silicone, which is known for it’s antibacterial properties. I’ll be honest, I was skeptical about the silicone brush heads because I didn’t feel like they’d be able to help with exfoliating my skin compared to my Clarisonic that has smaller bristles, but I was very wrong. The combination of the vibration and the brush heads help to give your skin a deep clean without any irritation. I liked this brush because it made my skin so smooth and was super simple to use, plus the clean up was a breeze as my Foreo Luna fofo was good to go for my next use after a quick rinse under some warm water. I used this brush for about 5 months before it stopped working. It is important to keep in mind that this particular Foreo brush only lasts on average of about 400 uses and it is battery operated. When this product did work for me, I loved it and felt like my face was nice and smooth after I used it. However, I could not justify the $89 price tag to buy another one, which is why I gave this product a 4 out of 5 stars. I would not recommend this product to someone due to the fact that it will eventually stop working at such a high price tag.

Chemical Peels
💙The word alon
Chemical Peels 💙The word alone sounds a little intimidating. A peel is a supercharged shedding of your skin’s outermost layer, which your skin does pretty much on it’s own. However, the older we get what used to take our skin about 28 days to do now takes us up to double even triple the time to do. This can cause our skin to look dull, and uneven. 💙Glycolic acts which is the smallest of the AHAs are a special ability to penetrate the skin better because of its unique size. It can get into the laters of the skin and work where you need it the most! 💙 ellenlange created one of the first at-home peels in the late 90s. This system is not only absolutely gorgeous but includes 8 treatments! All you have to do is Peel prep which cleanses your face, use their accelerator pads and peel using their glycolic peel solution! It really is that easy and all in the comfort of your own home! I have used this kit for about 6 peels and I am impressed! It really is a beautiful system and you cannot go wrong! This stuff is amazing and reminds me a little bit of drunkelephant babyfacial as well although two different products but they both have the same end goals.

I was introduced to Aenon’s Ri
I was introduced to Aenon’s Rituall range of skincare a few weeks ago and have been testing their cleanser, toner & hydrate serum. Aenon’s goal is to keep things simple with natural, plant-based, effective ingredients packed with antioxidants. This trio makes for the perfect am routine. Aenon’s Rituall Cleanser is super gentle and leaves my face feeling so soft. It has a non-foaming, milky texture and doesn’t strip my skin whatsoever. It’s the perfect morning cleanser. Ingredients include aloe vera to remove buildup of dead skin cells and chamomile extract to soothe irritated skin. Their Rituall Toner is powered by antioxidant-packed tea leaves, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid to hydrate. The Rituall Hydrate Serum is the standout product of the bunch for me. It’s water light and wears beautifully under foundation. This serum is loaded with antioxidants from goji berry, hibiscus to maintain elasticity and hyaluronic acid for all-day hydration. I’ll top it with a lightweight moisturizer and I’m ready to go. All in all, this is a really beautiful, clean skincare system that’s free of any filler ingredients and is suitable for all skin types. I’ll definitely keep these products in rotation.
