DermDoctor Hand-Selected Skincare Routine 🔲 5 winners will be selected to receive the entire skincare routine below 🔲 Here's how to enter: 1. Follow me here (dermdoctor) 2. Comment any skincare question for our Instagram Live on 9/28 @ 9AM PST (IG: @doctorly) 🔲 Giveaway Prize: CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser
I absolutely love this product and use it every single day. As someone with combination skin, it's not overly drying but you still feel clean after using it. It also doubles as a make-up or sunscreen remover. You can use this as the first step in your morning and evening routine. VICHY - LiftActiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules
Vichy really did it with this one. This contains 10% L-ascorbic acid, the best-studied form of vitamin C. It also contains hyaluronic acid and peptides. It serves as an amazing anti-oxidant and will brighten the skin and build collagen over time. Use this in the AM after cleansing. elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46
You all know this is one of my favorite products of all time. It goes on without a white cast and contains niacinamide, which is amazing for acne and rosacea-prone skin. CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum
Retinoids are the cornerstone of my skincare routine. They have anti-aging and anti-acne benefits. They fade dark spots and improve skin texture. This product by ceraVe is a perfect starter retinoid because it contains an encapsulated form of retinoid and licorice, which helps to calm down inflammation and fade hyperpigmentation. Use this at night after cleansing. Avoid this if pregnant or breastfeeding! SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment
This is one of the best exfoliants on the market. It contains lactic acid, one of the most gentle and effective alpha-hydroxy acids you can use in your skincare routine. It also contains licorice, which helps to fade dark spots and calm redness. This is best used 1-2x a week at night. Avoid using it on the same nights as your retinol. This product does contain lemongrass oil, which can cause irritation or allergy in a very small group of people (<1%). Always make sure to patch test. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Ultra Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin
This is a gentle, non-greasy moisturizer that's great for all skin types. The bottle is hermetically sealed to prevent air from getting it, which allows the moisturize to be produced with no preservatives. It's also fragrance-free. One of the best moisturizers money can buy if you have sensitive skin. This can be used twice a day. Giveaway Rules: Ends 9/28/2020 at 11:59 PM PST. Shipping within the USA and Canada only. Giveaway winners will be picked by cherie. #CheriePartner

Reflecting on 2020
2020 is coming to a close. I think we are all very hopeful for a better 2021. 2020 has been challenging year. But, as hard as it has been for me having a newborn & a toddler at home during two lockdowns now (Ontario is officially locked down today again), it has also given me LOTS of time with my kids, a HUGE appreciation for stay at home moms, and appreciating all the things I took for granted like seeing friends & family at Christmas. Here’s my @cherie2020 Top 5 1. Product My favourite has been SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment I received it in a sample bag from Sephora and was blown away by the results. It’s a 7 % lactic acid treatment in a milky serum consistency. It also contains licorice root extract. You really can notice it smooth & brighten your skin in 3 minutes! I haven’t bought the full size yet. It retails for $112 CAD for 1oz. But when my sample runs out I think this one is worth the money! (The sample is .25oz and I’ve been using it once a week for about 6 weeks and I might have one use left) 2. Trend Does Vitamin C count as a trend? I only started my skincare journey 6 months ago. I didn’t really know anything about skincare ingredients. Now I’ve bought two Vitamin C serums, an eye cream, and face wash! Vitamin C is powerful antioxidant that helps give you brighter, tighter, and overall more radiant looking skin. I definitely have noticed a difference since starting use to Vitamin C serums! VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum(haven’t started using) OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser 3. Best Look My best book would have to be my everyday 5 minute natural make-up look (see earlier post). Before I started my skincare journey in the summer, I was maybe washing my face in the shower and putting on lotion. Definitely no make-up. I looked tired and dull. Now I take care of my skin, so even without make-up I look brighter and I also take 5 minutes to put on a little make-up, even if it is just to walk the kids to the park and it makes me feel a lot better about my appearance. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara CLINIQUE - Just Browsing Brush-on Styling Mousse 4. Favourite Creator on Cherie I might be biased because I won a great giveaway from her, but I really love following @JadesJourney I really enjoy her intersection between skincare and wellness. Check her out! 5. Something I learned The biggest thing I learned this year is not only can I find the time everyday to take care of my skin but that I look forward to it! Happy New Year!

Dirty Dozen Chemicals in my Skincare
I want to move towards a clean skincare routine. My current products were not purchased with clean skincare in mind, but I want to know how many of the Dirty Dozen chemicals are in my skincare. See my previous clean skincare posts for more details. Dirty Dozen Chemicals to Avoid: 1. Coal Tar Dyes 2. DEA / MEA / TEA 3. Phthalates / Parfum / fragrence 4. Formaldehyde releasing perservatives 5. Parabens 6. PEG compounds 7. Petrolatum 8. Siloxanes 9. Sulfates 10. Triclosan 11. Talc 12. Hydroquinone A quick summary, almost every product contains PEGs! PEGs (polyethylene glycols) are petroleum-based compounds that are widely used in cosmetics as thickeners, solvents, softeners, and moisture-carriers. Depending on manufacturing processes, PEGs may be contaminated with measurable amounts of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, known human carcinogens. 1,4-dioxane can be removed from cosmetics during the manufacturing process by vacuum stripping, but there is no easy way for consumers to know whether products containing PEGs have undergone this process. Here’s what’s in my current products: The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG ✅ clean The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ✅ clean CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel ❌ contains paraffin ❌contains Petrolatum (Also contains dyes) Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment ✅ clean of dirty dozen SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment ❌ contains PEG-100, PEG-75 CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - All About Eyes ❌contains PEGs ❌contains Petrolatum CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator ❌ contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula ❌contains sulfates ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - Smart Custom-Repair Serum ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum ✅ clean from dirty dozen I’m new to reading labels, so if I’ve missed something let me know! Please help me, any advice will help
Hi everyone, so recently I have been getting acne all over my forehead and now more around my cheeks. My skin type is Normal-Dry Skin Also I know that my skin isn’t as bad as other people, however- I am only comparing my skin with myself. No one else. I don’t know what to do to help make it better. I have a hard time maintaining my skin to keep it clear because one day could look nice then in 2 days I break out. > I always try to drink 1500ml of water everyday > However I do struggle a bit with eating. Some mornings I will skip breakfast and sometimes even lunch. If I eat something it could also be something sugary. I always want to eat and everything however, I just don’t have time to prepare and when there’s no food at home I just skip eating. - I will for sure work on that but just eating 3 meals a day, will it change my skin? And what foods are best to eat? Skin Care Routine: CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Avène - CLEANANCE SUNSCREEN SPF 50+ (Sunscreen for the mornings) I don’t have a solid routine and I am working on it. I just don’t want to use so much on my face. What else is best to add to my routine? How do I also take care of active acne? I know I shouldn’t pop them but sometimes they’re just so big and I feel like that’s what everyone just see when they talk to me/look at me.

Pure Vitamin C + peptides = glowing skin 😍
The vitamin C strength is only 10% in these ampoules, but it’s the perfect concentration when considering the other ingredients. The ampoule also contains hyaluronic acid, water, and peptides. There is no added fragrance; in fact, there is only 10 ingredients all together. Be warned: the smell isn’t pleasant. It’s bearable, but smells like stale vitamin capsules. There is enough in each ampoule for two uses, i.e. morning and night. Splurge for the 30 day pack to get more bang for your buck! My skin is brighter, tighter, and more moisturized overall. I like that it includes water to work alongside the hyaluronic acid so moisture is drawn into the skin instead of drying it out. Here’s the ingredient list & CosDNA profile for ingredient safety/acne concerns: AQUA / WATER / EAU • ASCORBIC ACID • BUTYLENE GLYCOL • DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL • GLYCERIN • SODIUM HYALURONATE • HYDROLYZED RICE PROTEIN • HYDROLYZED HYALURONIC ACID • HYDROLYZED LUPINE PROTEIN • PENTYLENE GLYCOL http://cosdna.com/eng/cosmetic_2267486502.html VICHY - LiftActiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules

Day one of Tretinoin 0.04%
I’m a special ed teacher of students with moderate intellectual disabilities. Currently doing both in person (hello maskne) and online teaching (aka stressssssss). Also my district told me 3 days ago I’m getting three new students so stress times ten!! I never used to get breakouts. They started probably my junior year of college, so four and a half years ago. I’ve always been conscious of skin care and my acne never got out of hand, I just could never get rid of the ever present 2-5 pimples on my face at all times. They definitely appear most around my period. Its definitely the worst it has ever been this year with a lot of added stress on top of wearing a mask all day long. I feel like I’ve tried everything. Over the last five years I’ve gotten on birth control, done proactiv, Curology, rodan + fields, differin, every benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid face wash or mask out there, I even drink a teaspoon of liquid chlorophyll every day to try and detox from within. I also drink at least 64 oz of water every day. I try to drink more, but as a teacher I don’t get many bathroom breaks. I’m beyond frustrated and feel like I just can’t get my face clear! I gave Differin a solid chance because I really thought that, since it used to be prescription only, it would work. After 4 months of using it, I feel like it did an okay job. I never really got big painful pimples, but I never really got those anyway and I was still getting the same amount of overall breakouts each month. I decided I need to try something stronger, but I didn’t want to have to go to the dermatologist. That’s when I found Rory! I was prescribed Tretinoin 0.04% with Azelaic Acid 0.8% and Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. It was $5 for my first bottle and will be $75 every 3 months from here on out. I got approved within a few hours and it arrived at my apartment in 2 days. I’m doing this post because I never actually take pictures to compare progress (because I’m so sick of never actually seeing any progress!!) and to try to wish for some good results finally! Here’s the rest of the routine that I’ll be doing: AM- LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser VICHY - LiftActiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ PM- VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm spectro - Jel Cleanser VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream Then I’ll do the Tretinoin last Wish me luck!!!

Help!
I have been trying to figure out the best way to take control of my skincare routine. My main concern is the texture of my skin, redness, blackheads on my nose, & large pores on my cheeks. I believe I have combination skin. It can’t often get oily or dry. I’d like any advice having to do with Cerave or The Ordinary. I currently am cleansing my face each morning & night with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I like this cleanser, but am wondering if I should try out some other Cerave facial cleansers for my skin. In the morning I use CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 In the evening I moisturize with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Occasionally, I use the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution but I don’t think I have used it consistently enough & often enough to tell a difference. I’ve read that this is good for blackheads on your nose & to use it two nights a week. I have also used The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque but haven’t used it enough to notice a difference. I’d like to look into trying a few more products to help rejuvenate my skin & give my skin care routine a “facelift” 😉 Any advice or opinions would be wonderful. Thank you! Products I’d like to try include: CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum I would like to introduce a retinol into my routine. CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream I often get dry under eyes, eye lids, & puffiness. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I read this was good for textured skin & blackheads. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Thank you in advance! ✨

New and Improved Winter Routine
After a lot of trial and error, I think I’ve found a routine that works for me (at least for the time being). I am aware of the PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+controversy BUT I work from home and often don’t run errands until the evening when the sun has already set so I don’t mind continuing to use the product as a moisturizer and for light protection from the minimal rays that come in through my windows. When I do go out during the day, I layer with a second sunscreen. I really love the Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser but have been feeling slightly stripped lately after using it and since I was already running out of the Krave, I figured I’d try something new. I purchased the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser on somewhat of a whim at Sephora the other day. I have noticed that the creamier texture of the FAB cleanser works very well for my skin (at least during the winter months when I get incredibly dry) but kind of feel like the pearlescent look of it is a little gimmicky. I will likely alternate between the 2 cleansers depending on the time of year and how my skin is feeling. I alternate actives every night. My skin is extremely reactive and prone to irritation so I have to take things very slowly when introducing a new active to my routine. For now, I use the CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum on night 1, the By Wishtrend - Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water on night 2, the DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump on night 3 and no active on night 4 before restarting the routine. I find that the night off really gives my skin a break. I’ve been using Differin for a while but have been a little disappointed in it lately so thought that it might be time to introduce a different retinol product and LOVE the CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum so far. I started with once a week and did notice a little irritation the first few times I used it but that was expected. I think every 4th night is a good place that I can build on if I continue to see better results. I want to incorporate The Inkey List’s Q-10 serum because I have used it in the past and really liked it. I’m not sure where I could include it for the best results and least irritation. I really want to keep at least one night a week where I only use FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner and Aveeno - Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer after cleansing but am hesitant to layer products. Any suggestions? THIS MOISTURIZER!!! I was skeptical when I first saw this new line from Aveeno because I sometimes find that their products don’t perform as well as I expect. Their lotions often feel like they just sit on top of my skin instead of soaking in but Dr. Dray convinced me and I will be sticking with this one!

FULL Gentle Hydrating Skincare Routine
This has kind of been the theme of my entire Cherie page since its creation, but I’ve been needing to really hydrate my skin more since the weather’s become colder. Having rosacea means I always need to do extra research on the products I try. So after some experimenting, trying a LOT of new products, and deciding to stick to some old favorites, this is the routine I’ve come up with for myself: AM Routine Cleanser - Inkey Oat Cleansing Balm: A recent switch for the winter. Leaves my skin feeling nourished and hydrated, but doesn’t tackle my acne very effectively. Might switch back to my old cleanser (Cosrx Good Morning Gel) and just use this when my skin is feeling tight/for double cleansing. Toner - FAB Wild Oat Ultra Hydrating Toner: Another recent switch. This toner is so hydrating that I don’t need to use hydrating masks or overnight creams as frequently as I used to and it’s very calming. Serum - Peach & Lily’s Glass Skin Refining Serum: This is definitely worth the hype. My skin has been noticeably smooth since using it. Spot Treatment - TULA Go Away Acne: Uses benzoyl peroxide to work on acne which can interfere with rosacea, so I don’t use this on my cheeks but it works well in other areas. Not a repurchase for me. Eye Cream - Cetaphil Deep Hydration Refreshing Eye Serum: I said recently that eye cream doesn’t work for me, but I’m starting to get wrinkles under my eyes and thought it was important to kick up the hydration and attention. This one is quite gentle and pretty affordable. Moisturizer - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion: Undefeated! If I need some extra hydration I’ll add a couple drops of Leo Oil and mix on my hand using my ring finger. Sunscreen - EltaMD SPF 46 on days with no makeup or ILIA Serum Skin Tint: Both are mineral sunscreens and unscented with protection in the 40s. PM Routine Cleanser - The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm: ...and I’ll double cleanse with my old Cosrx Good Morning Gel if I wore makeup that day. Toner - FAB Wild Oat Ultra Hydrating Toner Serum - Paula’s Choice CALM 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant or 10% Azelaic Acid Booster: I like to alternate between these two serums. The BHA (salicylic acid) targets pores and redness. The Azelaic Acid Boost contains salicylic acid too, but is more effective at targeting rosacea specifically. Eye Cream - Veriphy 20/20 Eye Cream: Received this as a gift and I actually really like it! Contains ingredients like peptides, niacinamide, and cucumber extract. But it’s wildly expensive and I won’t be able to repurchase. Moisturizer - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion + Astrologiens Leo Oil: At night I always combine these two if I’m not using my Naturium Sleeping Cream (2 pumps + 2 drops). I have individual reviews on a number of these products, so if you’re interested in learning more about something feel free to check those posts out or just ask a question here :) Most of these products are generally rosacea and sensitive skin safe. I have type 1 rosacea for reference.

Unpopular Opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️
I received this sunscreen absolutely free from Elta MD so thank you guys y’all are lovely for doing such awesome Giveaways. Now as for my thoughts. I was so excited to try this; it has amazing reviews and it has niacinamide in it so what’s not to love? Right? Wrong! This sunscreen pilled up so bad on my face. No matter what I put under it or didn’t put under it. Even upon reapplication it still pilled up. Now when I used this on my hands and body it was completely fine; no pilling. Just on my face did I have the issue. So I gave this to my mom to see if she has better success with it. If not it was a great hand and body sunscreen for me. It does go on white (when I saw the name I thought it would actually be clear, but no. The clear in the name refers to its skin clearing ingredients.) however, it works in without too much effort and didn’t sting around my eyes. I think this is in fact a great sunscreen it just didn’t work at all for me and my face. So I will move on to my next sunscreen.

Morning routine for bright and glowy skin
Morning routine for bright and glowy skin
Me last year = lots and lots of breakouts. Me now = still very acne prone BUT got a hold of it and now I want to target acne scars, get glowy skin and avoid any future flare ups. My morning and evening routines are fairly different. In the evening, I do a double cleanse and use products like my benzagel face wash to reduce the chances of getting acne and mix up a couple different products such as acids or retinol depending on what my skin needs. But in the morning I try to go for a hydrating and brightening routine that will help me reduce my pesky acne scars and make me look glowy and more awake! I also love this routine because most products are from the drugstore. Products: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser This is great for the morning. It’s gentle, hydrating and won’t strip the skin. Definitely worth your money. I'm from - Rice Toner Loving this toner for the morning to help keep my skin plump and bright. This is one of products that I depend on to gently fade my acne scars and overall brighten my whole face. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum I’m not quite ready to give a full review on this yet, but so far, so good! This serum has a higher percentage of vitamin c (10%) than the latest one I was using and also vitamin e and ferulic acid. Overall, skin is glowy and it’s not irritated at all, so I’m happy. THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream Keeps eyes hydrated, helps de-puff, all good in my books. HONEST - Hydrogel Cream So excited to put up a full review about this product, but overall, great ingredients that keep skin moisturized and I love how glowy it makes my skin look in the morning. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 Light-weight, good protection, no white cast and also helps give skin a little glow in the morning. Super happy with this purchase so far. Thought of the day: I had been doing a water cleanse in the morning for the last few months but recently read that it wasn’t the best idea. So I’ve started to use this gentle cleanser from Cerave for now. My skin seems to be liking it so far! Does anyone else do a water cleanse in the AM?

Fungal acne routine & getting rid of it forever!
Fungal acne routine & getting rid of it forever!
I’ve struggled with malassezia Folliculitis/fungal acne for 6 months. My skin’s improved but you do need patience! Now I breakout occasionally, have redness and pigmentation. Disclaimer: Everyone’s different & this is what I’ve learnt. Leave suggestions below! Treatments: I ruined my gut health and ended getting constant yeast infections which links to malassezia as both are overgrowths of fungus/yeast! I recommend an anti-candida diet. Celery juice, apple cider vinegar in water, probiotics and supplements to boost my immune system all helped. I used Folliculitis scout to search for malassezia-safe products. I’ve used other websites and tbh some of them aren’t accurate or their recommended products broke me out. Every oil (except squalane & MCT), fatty acids and lipids is used by malassezia to grow! Once you eliminate these (which is hard), you can use glycerin or amino acids in your skincare routine and makeup bc they need oil, lipids or fatty acids for malassezia to grow off them. Skin barrier health and moisture is important. Don’t use too many treatments bc your skin will just get sensitive, dry and produce more oils. Also the Nizoral shampoo will ruin your skin barrier even if it kills malassezia off. There are other ways to treat it! Skincare routine: Morning: Benton - Deep Green Tea Toner green tea extract inhibits and combats malassezia. It’s a soothing and moisturising toner/essence. It’s antibacterial properties can target other types of acne too. skinstitut - Vitamin C 100% mix w/moisturiser for pigmentation/scarring Like I'm Five - All Day Soothing Gel Lotion I LOVE THIS. It has xylitol that combats malassezia, glycerin and hyaluronic acid as humectants and panthenol for healing. It’s on iherb for 12 AUD too! A steal! The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane squalane has helped my skin go from oily to normal, hence stopping your skin from over producing sebum where malassezia grows. elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 have had a hard time finding a good sunscreen this is one of the few malassezia safe sunscreens. Helps with hyper pigmentation. Nighttime: BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water have tried others and always go back to this. Tried MCT oil, it’s malassezia-safe but oil cleansing is time consuming for me personally. ETUDE - Soon Jung, pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser I’ve tried vanicream but this massively changed my skin. facetheory - PoreBright Serum N10 only use on problem areas 2x a week. Salicylic & azelaic combats malassezia. Or AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion Benton - Deep Green Tea Toner Like I'm Five - All Day Soothing Gel Lotion The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane

review my morning routine!
review my morning routine!
Hi guys! Here’s my core skincare routine for most mornings. I’ll throw in extra products or swap some out according to my skin’s needs, but this is it about 90% of the time because consistency is key to seeing results. My current concerns are acne and post-acne red marks, as well as dryness from tret. 1. I cleanse with Dewy·er - Spirulina Face Wash . I got this because it’s touted as a miracle product for hormonal acne, and while I really like it, it’s not enough on its own to tackle my hormonal acne on my jawline. It lathers very well and doesn’t leave my face dry or tight, though. 2. Next I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator . I love this for gentle, everyday exfoliation and blackhead control. 3. LilyAna Naturals - Vitamin C Serum is my favorite vitamin C serum—it’s affordable, effective, and doesn’t smell like hot dog water! It also has vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. 4. I use Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel on the days I have a few pimples I need to get rid of fast. BUT note that if I use this, I don’t use the vitamin C because benzoyl peroxide oxidizes vitamin C and makes them both ineffective. 5. I moisturize withPAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer , the only moisturizer that’s been able to actually get rid of my flaky tret skin. I love this stuff! 6. Last, I protect with PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ , the only sunscreen I’ll ever purchase for the rest of my life. Seriously, the hype is real. What do you guys think? I’m happy to talk more about any of these products or my routine as a whole!

My (Less Than Perfect) Morning Skincare Routine
My (Less Than Perfect) Morning Skincare Routine
First off, I love this gentle cleanser in the morning. It’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin. I’ve switched to a different cleanser for night just to help get the rest of my makeup off, but this is perfect for when I have sleepy skin. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I’m not in love with this vitamin C serum. Granted, I haven’t been using this for too long, but I’m concerned with how long the effects might last in the bottle. On a positive note, the smell reminds me of Froot Loops! DERMA•E - Vitamin C Concentrated Serum I do love this moisturizer! It’s great for any skin type, but especially great for people with dry skin. There’s no scent or fragrance to it and it’s not overly priced! The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Honestly, I’ve used better sunscreens. With this, I need to wait a good 5-10 minutes after applying my moisturizer to apply this sunscreen. If I put it on too soon, it will pill up and roll off my skin, making my routine last much longer than it should. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Face & Body Melt in Sunscreen Milk SPF 60 Any suggestions would be appreciated! 💖

daily skin care routine 🧚🏼‍♀️✨🍒
daily skin care routine 🧚🏼‍♀️✨🍒
so this is my first post !! i’m so excited i found this beauty community !! a little about my skin,,, i have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin, with a bit of eczema so i’m always weary to try new products in fear of a reaction. i’ve had acne for 7 years now and have tried every product under the sun,, but nothing seemed to work for me. but this quarantine has given me so much time on my hands i’ve been able to do a bunch of research on ingredients and different products. but i’ll get right into the review & my opinion on these products :)) 1) CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin i really like this cleanser because it is super gentle on both the skin and acne, and i can actually feel it soothing my face when i wash with it. it doesn’t lather a whole lot and my face doesn’t feel stripped or dry after using it. i don’t use a full pump either, just half works for me. it has helped soothe some irritation and redness in my skin. 2)The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this product or ingredient even isn’t something i had heard of until i really started getting into skin care but it is totallyyy underrated. i feel like not many people know how amazing this product is for so many skin concerns. i have a lot of hyperpigmentation and redness and this has helped calm my skin down a wholeee lot. i don’t look like a complete tomato without makeup now. my scars and pigmentation are starting to fade and my face just feels so much less irritated. definitely one of my holy grail products. 3)The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA okay so this isn’t one of my favorite products in the world, but it gets the job done. i’m actually just using this until my new moisturizer arrives in the mail. this product is a bit thick but does a good job of moisturizing. i just prefer a lighter consistency. it doesn’t make me oily at all, even after 12 hours of wear. i don’t hate it, but i’m not in love with it either. 4)CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum now i would like to say that the general population is completely misled about retinol. it is marketed as an anti-aging product, which it does, but was originally developed to treat acne ! this is the very first retinol i have ever used and i started about a week & a half ago. even with this little time it’s been used, it has helped my acne sooo much. all of my pimples have gotten smaller, my texture has smoothed out dramatically, and it’s even changed my skin from oily to combination. i am in love with this product so far and i can’t wait to see more results in the weeks to come. definitely my holy grail !! (I only use this at night) 5) PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block something every skin care fanatic needs and should use everyday is a good sunscreen. as an oily-skinned gal, i was less than thrilled when i found out as sunscreen usually just made me an oily mess. but this sunscreen is great !! absorbs quickly with no white cast. works great under makeup too.
