earnestlyIt’s definitely not suited for those with sensitive skin considering the ingredients. I recommend using it on your body to not waste it though! I recommend a mineral sunscreen for those with sensitive skin! The Elta Md sunscreen.

I’ll start this off with my favourites: MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk I’m so sad that I’ve run out of this. If you don’t like the feel of sunscreens that feel thick and heavy, pick this up! you won’t regret it! I also ran out of the Volition sunscreen that I paired along side this one, but recycled it before I took a picture. Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask (📍) Again, was so sad to run out of this, check out my post featuring this and the new hair mask I picked up for more info! THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum If I could give this 100 stars out of 10, I would. This is my favourite serum of all time and I always have two back ups in my collection! Now for my meh products: SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum I liked the way that this felt don’t get me wrong, but I think because of the shimmer effect it has, it may have been breaking me out a bit. This didn’t have enough in it to last me long enough to see any effects. Kate Somerville - DeliKate Recovery Cream this is unbelievable. Although I will never buy this at the $104 price point, it’s a beautiful, thick, heavy cream. Wonderful for winter skin. fresh - Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm, Watermelon I actually have the lime+mint scent, but this is also amazing. I’ve just began started applying all my lip balms on damp lips, and I’ve found it’s made the biggest difference. No more dry lips! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion (📍) If you’ve seen my marula oil post, you’ve seen that I don’t support Drunk Elephant anymore, this is one of my last products I have from them (that they sent me) and it was too light to be a body cream. I have really dry legs and this didn’t do the trick. I ended up keeping this on my desk as a hand lotion and it worked well! Now for my no good product: Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara (📍) I don’t understand that hype around this mascara. On me, it doesn’t make my lashes look longer or fuller, it flakes super easy and it doesn’t hold my curl. Happy to have finished this so I can move on. 📍= product was sent to me for free
SPF Combo for Glowing Skin
MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk This product has been my ride or die for about 5 months now. I bought this on a whim as the Purito ones were all sold out (...), and I was surprised at how much I liked this. this lasted me through the 30°C heat, and in the winter just in doors. I didn’t love the finish that it gave my skin, so i decided to start mixing these two as the Volition one gives a more glowy finish! VOLITION - Prismatic Luminizing Shield SPF 50 On its own, I don’t love the texture of this product. It’s very thick and feels like a typical all zinc sunscreen, but this one is a chemical, which is strange. Mixing them is a perfect medium, the texture evens out and it makes my skin look amazing!
An invisible sunscreen?!
Are you ready for a sunscreen that truly feels invisible and lightweight on the skin? Well then look to the Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 . This is a chemical based sunscreen that uses filters such as 3% avobenzone, 8% homosalate, 5% octisalate, and 4% octocrylene to provide your skin with broad spectrum sun protection. It has an spf of 40 and PA+++. Other notable ingredients in the formula include shea butter, jojoba esters, dimethicone, and tocopherol. This is probably the strangest sunscreen I’ve ever used. It has a translucent silicone-like gel texture that feels a bit greasy as you’re applying it. This takes a couple minutes to set but once it does, it leaves you with a velvety soft finish that no longer feels greasy or heavy. It made my skin look matte and blurred. It really felt like I wasn’t wearing any sunscreen. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this because it didn’t make my skin oiler throughout the day, and it was surprisingly moisturizing which allowed me to skip my daytime moisturizer. I didn’t experience any pilling as this layers well over other products. Reapplication was also a breeze since this didn’t disrupt the previous layers. As you apply more layers though, it can start to feel a bit greasy which wasn’t that bad because I never felt it unless I touched my face. It didn’t ever feel heavy even with multiple reapplications. It’s also waterproof and sweat resistant up to 40 mins. I was worried this might clog my pores but it didn’t. There wasn’t any irritatations or breakouts so that’s a win. This can act as a makeup primer but I don’t really wear makeup so I didn’t test it with makeup. Overall, I have to say I had a great experience with this sunscreen. I think most skin types can use this without any issues unless you’re sensitive to certain chemical filters. Would I repurchase this though? I’m not quite sure yet because of the price and that I didn’t really quite love it. I have to love something to want to repurchase it. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, then go ahead and try it. There’s a dupe for this that I’ll be trying and reviewing next for you guys.
Supergoop!-Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40
. #The Skinhouse - Sunblock [FourStars] ☀️ PR| Thank you @theskinhouse_official for sending me this sunblock to try. The Skinhouse Sunblock SPF50 PA+++ is a physical sunscreen that has the just-right consistency – not too runny and not too thick. It is easily spreadable and although there seems to be a slight white cast, it quickly goes away. It layers well with my other skincare products and make up. It does not get oily throughout the day which is a huge plus for me. I don’t find that it clogs my pores either which is another bonus. I don’t mind fragrance in my skincare products but this has a fairly strong, flower scent. There are some days when I don’t mind the scent but there are also some days when I feel like the scent is way too strong for my liking. I noticed that the scent lingers for a few hours because I started to wonder why I kept smelling fragrance while wearing my medical grade mask at work. . Overall, this sunblock ticked most of my boxes for a good sunblock but the fragrance may actually push me towards not purchasing this product in the future.
Best sunscreen for my face
As an esthetician, I cannot stress how important sunscreen is for your skin. But over the years, it started getting harder and harder for me to find a sunscreen that is high quality and not overly expensive. There have been times that I had to choose one or the other, I could never have both! That is until I found this product. This broad spectrum sunscreen (post procedure and sensitive) is light, fragrance free, feels like a moisturizer, and didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Granted it wasn’t the cheapest sunscreen ever, but when you combine the quality ingredients with the amount of ounces you get in one bottle (1.85 oz for a standard bottle), it’s definitely worth it! WORST SUNSCREEN EVER?!
I am an avid Cerave lover from their hydrating face wash to their moisture cream I have never hated a product from them. I was shocked when I saw such horrible reviews on a product from them! This sunscreen has less than 3 stars on almost any website you find it on. Now, I usually am one to follow the reviews of people but this product was intriguing me from the get go, even with all the negative feedback. They came out with an face and body sunscreens but from what I could tell when looking at the product ingredients in store there is hardly a difference, if any. So I went with the 50 body even though I’d mostly be using it on my face. This one tends to have better reviews even though it’s just like half a star more. Now, the sunscreen itself is a mineral sunscreen so these keep you protected with zinc oxide. You know the life guards that have the white noses? That’s zinc. It creates a visible shield on your skin from the sun. Emphasis on visible. There are some mineral sunscreens better at hiding the unappealing ghost look than others though and this one does a meh job at hiding it. That’s the biggest complaint from people which I can see why. This sunscreen would not be inclusive on darker skin types. So I would give it 1 star for that but, if I had darker skin I’d go for more of a chemical or Korean sunscreen because zinc would be hard to hide. Now for me personally, I am Casper the ghost white. I am a pale blue eyed red head! So honestly the white cast just somewhat evens out my skin tone and the way this sunscreen feels on my skin is so hydrating which makes sense for cerave. It’s just a sunscreen you have to work with a little more. So I personally don’t find it horrible. Tips I’ve found that help blend it better: 👏🏻 rub then pat it into the skin. helps the white cast sink into the skin better than spreading around. Conclusion, is this a horrible sunscreen? No. But, it isn’t inclusive to darker skin tones and honestly I think it’s only really made for gingers lol, I’ve heard great things about the tinted one though which is too dark for me!

Greatest Sunscreen Of All Time
I have never found a sunscreen that works so well. It is not irritating, doesn’t cause breakouts, and it feels comfortable to wear. I also love that it has such a high protection rating. I have repurchased this 10+ times and will continue to repurchase! It is very affordable, although a bit hard to find. If you have a hard time finding sunscreen you can wear everyday, I highly recommend give the Purito Unscented SPF 50 a try. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+

I’m not a scientist or a doctor or a photographer... but I just really love skincare. Actually I’m a social worker, not even remotely related 🙃. So if you ever think I’ve gone awry with my reviews let me know! Happy to learn more. Today I wanted to compare my hg sunscreen and the offering from Purito, Comfy Water Sun Block. Ingredient comparison: The first big difference I noticed is that the Comfy Water lists Cetyl Ethylhexanoate (Cetyl Alcohol + Erhyexanoic acid) as the second ingredient. So, a mix of a fatty alcohol and a fatty acid. On the other hand, The Centella Green Level SPF contains Dibutyl Adipate and Dicaprylyl Carbonate which contribute to spreadabilty, and the sunscreens moisturizing texture. Comfy Water is a Mineral/Physical SPF with Non-nano Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide - the classics. Centella Green Level Safe Sun contains a new generation chemical SPF called Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate - excellent for protection against UVA rays which contribute to aging. Both contain lavender oil, niacinimide, and tea tree oil. Interestingly, The Centella Green Level SPF contains Centella Asiatica proper, and The Comfy Water SPF contains its extracts (madecassocide, asiaticocide, madecassic acid, asiatic acid). I have no idea why this would be, but if you do, let us know in the comments. Thoughts: These feel and wear very similarly in my opinion, and I would recommend either one. I’ve found with a lot of sunscreens they either clog my pores or irritate my skin, and I don’t find either of those problems with the Purito options. I notice a small difference with the texture, the Centella has a bit more “slip”, while the Comfy Water has more of the texture you expect from mineral sunscreen, but it’s still very spreadable and lightweight. I know some have issues with the lavender oil, so that’s something to keep in mind if you are sensitive to it since unfortunately they both contain it.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.4 DAYS AGO
