My Winter 2021 Skincare Routine
Hey guys, I’m going to be reviewing my 2021 winter skincare routine! PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block This sunscreen is my go to. It’s so light and amazing, and really does the job. Keeping those UV rays without even being able to tell I have a sunscreen on. This sunscreen leaves no white cast either. Amazing! Mineral sunscreens are very sustainable as well. CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin I’ve been using this Salicylic Acid based cleanser for a couple months now, and can for sure tell the difference of the texture of my skin, and my pores. I’ll be also posting a full review of this product as well. No fragrance, and gets all the dirt and excess makeup off my skin. Amazing and no bad reactions! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I’ve already reviewed this serum, so you can scroll down my account to see my opinion, but it is amazing. Super hydrating, light, a little tacky feel at first (takes a second to absorb into my skin) but afterwards I have a plump and hydrated feeling throughout my skin! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I started using this serum late July 2020. So far, no bad thoughts about it. This serum is super light, and really makes a difference. I’ll also be posting a full review on this product. A big difference in my pores since before I started using it. Less clogged pores, and a much smoother texture skin in problematic areas. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream This is my favorite winter moisturizer. It’s super thick, and absorbs well into my skin. It leaves me skin with a nice and soft feel to it. Using this moisturizer during the winter is amazing because it leaves my skin very hydrated throughout the whole day without any dry patches! CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream I’ve been using this since the summer of 2020, and I haven’t noticed much of a difference. You could probably just use your moisturizer as an eye cream, because I can’t tell a difference in my skin. I’m not going to waste it though and I’ll finish it off. Otherwise just use moisturizer as an eye cream. Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant Lastly, my favorite lip balm. The best way to keep your lips moisturized all year long is to use this product. I haven’t had any cracked lips or lip problems in years since I started using this product. Amazing and will never stop using Aquaphor!
It’s fine but... not for me 🤷♀️
Cerave is one of the largest and most popular brands in the world. It has simply blown up this year with everyone from magazine editors to influencers to dermatologists talking about it. It is a drug store brand that focuses on healing ceramides in their products and thus with my dry skin I figured I would try it out. As my eye area is really dry (cracks and flakes) I figured it would be the ideal area to try a cream. Price: This eye cream is very popular as it is very affordable in the USA, however in Canada is is much more expensive. It is not outrageous but at $25 cad I can find eye creams that I enjoy and work better for me. Packaging: I know packaging isn’t the be all end all but I must admit if it doesn’t look cute on the vanity it has to be amazing for me to buy it... and with cerave as a whole I really hate their packaging. It looks to me like old school medicine packages which takes out the joy from doing my routine 😢. Effectiveness: I have dry and acne prone skin with an extremely dry under eye area, so dry they sometimes crack and bleed. Therefore I thought this would be amazing with the ceramides. I do like the soft cream texture and the area never got horribly dry but I never felt it nourished enough. Also I did not notice any reduction in wrinkles or brightness (it has niacinimide), which was disappointing. And the worst thing is that it caused milia which I have never got before even when I used Vaseline nightly for years 😭. Pros 👍: It’s accessible as it sold in most drug stores it feels nice going on it has a good list of ingendients. Ceramides and niacinimide Cons👎 it’s pricy if you don’t live in the states the packaging is ugly the cruelty status is in question 🐰 I didn’t notice any results after 9 months it gave me milia!! CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream all in all I think this cream might work for some but it really didn’t work for me.

CeraVe Facial Mosituriser: Sunscreen and Lotion!
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽♀️ I started using CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin four weeks ago. I needed a new day cream as I had completed a 3 month trial using Auquest 5 Second Wrinkle Cream. I posted my results in January so if you want to know more check out my previous post. ☺️ CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin was highly recommended here so, Cherie 🍒 made me buy it! Although it’s for normal to dry skin, it also works well for people with skin conditions, like psoriasis. I suffer from psoriasis. 🙃 I have combination skin which is more on the oily side but I really wanted to give CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin a try as it’s recommended by dermatologists. CeraVe was developed by dermatologists and uses a patented formulation to protect the skin barrier. The Company call the formulation, Multivesicular Emulsion Technology. It’s ensures CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin will be time released throughout the day for complete hydration. It also uses three different ceramides which help retain water 💧 and strengthen and repair the skin barrier. My thoughts 💭 🧚♀️ It’s fragrance free, no parabens and non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores), ✅ which is great since I have larger than average pores 🙃 🧚♀️ CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin has an SPF 15 with broad spectrum protection and can be classed as a secondary sunscreen in Australia. An SPF15 can block 93.3% of UVR compared to SPF30 which blocks 97%. So technically I feel I could use it as my sunscreen but, because I’m 45, I like to apply an SPF30. ☺️ 🧚♀️ It has a nice lightweight texture and easily absorbs into your skin. I didn’t purge when I added it to my day routine! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 🧚♀️ My skin loves this cream, it feels smoother and softer and it keeps my skin hydrated 💦 all day. 🧚♀️ It retails for $22 in Australia 🇦🇺 I love the price point! Although I’ve only been using it for a month, I’m giving CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin 4 stars!!!! It’s ticked a lot of boxes for me but as it’s only my initial review I didn’t want to give it too much Kudos. I’m loving it and feel a little sad as I have a new GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Creamthat I’d like to trial after the CeraVe. But, I don’t really want to swap it out. 😂😂😂 I guess that’s the Dilemma of being a Creator. I don’t always keep using what’s working because I like to review new products. 🙃 Let me know if you tried the CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin and if it worked for you. I’d love to hear from you. Have a wonderful day! Jade ☺️
Just wanted to share my journey struggling with acne. Growing up I had perfect clear skin, no acne whatsoever, was comfortable going in public with no makeup on and I had a perfect complexion until I graduated high school and I started breaking out. I used to call it, puberty but backwards lol. I tried everything and nothing worked on me. I even tried changing my diet and stopped eating dairy and meat all in one but still, nothing changed. I even drank more water and that didn’t do anything either. I started watching Dr. Dray on YouTube about a couple years ago and I feel like she’s changed my routine. She says less is more and I swear by that. Remember: what works for me may not work for you. My skin is no where near perfect, but I’m extremely happy with how far I’ve come 🤍 Morning Routine: - (I try to wash my face once a day. Usually wash with only water in the morning) Sometimes I use Panoxyl if I’m breaking out. COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (On damp skin) The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Oil-Free Moisture CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 Night Time Routine: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin When I first started my skincare journey, I mainly started out small using cleanser, moisturizer and SPF then slowly incorporated these serums into my routine. I started using products with no fragrance in them and I feel like that helped my skin out a lot. Also, I highly recommend watching Dr. Dray on YouTube!

Brands I love ❤️
For Valentine's day I figure I'd make a post about brands I LOVE and highly recomend! Paula’s choice I know I do not own many of her products and I think it’s because I want to try other brands as I explore the vast skincare world. I already know this one is trustworthy in my book. They not only have a great resource with their ingredient dictionary, but they use that knowledge and transparency to formulate great products. Even the negative reviews on this brand that I've seen still say they formulate very well. They are slightly on the pricey side (expect about $40 or more), but you cannot go wrong. I love their PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator especially and have used their PAULA'S CHOICE - Defense Nightly Reconditioning Moisturizer Krave Beauty They don’t carry a lot of products in their brand, but like a fine dining restaurant with a small menu, what they make is their specialty. Their products are reasonably priced and they focus on non-irritating effective ingredients to help your skin barrier. I currently have their Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser and their Krave - Great Barrier Relief Inkey List I love this brand and that they are making simple products with usually only once active and that allows people to try them to see how it effects their skin for a reasonable price. I currently have their rosehip oil because I didn’t know how my skin would react to it, but it’s known for hydrating and evening skin tone. I currently use their THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil Cosrx Another good brand that formulates well while still being very reasonably priced. I love their COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence CeraVe A tried and true brand. There is a reason why dermatologists recommend this. CeraVe is formulated with non irritating ingredients, that may make them seem “boring” by not being packed with actives, but effective. I have a few of their products. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum
My Current PM Routine
I recently did my AM routine.... Guess it's time to do my PM routine. Keep in mind my routines do tend to change frequently due to me trying different products to review, but this is my current one. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm (I have to double check, but I think it's fragrence free) So far I'm enjoying this one. I like the ease of the tube and the texture is nice to get off my makeup and sunscreen. I actually like this one better than Then I met you - Living Cleansing Balm (not Fragrence free) and it's cheaper. I still enjoy then I met you, but it's not in the tube and I like inkey's texture better. Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser (Fragrence free) I've been using this one for PM because I feel like my milky cleansers aren't strong enough to get off the balm (it probably is). It's still gentle, while still feeling cleansing. I will say there's been times where I don't get it fully off and then when I go into my next step, it still foams up and I have to go back in and REALLY make sure I got it off Hanskin - Hyaluron Skin Essence(I think it's fragrence free. Again I'd have to double check) I haven't used this one enough yet to make a review, but so far I like it. It's watery like a toner so that's how I've been using it. My go to is usually COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence which I still use in the AM. I want to like Hanskin because I don't have a toner and wouldn't mind using this product in that place COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (Fragren free) I've already reviewed this one! Def a holy grail because it makes my skin feel plump and hydrated. If you can get around the idea of using snail slime, it is worth it! ETUDE - Soonjung Hydro Barrier Cream(Fragrence free) Another product too soon to review since it just recently joined my routine. It does leave a little shine while its waiting to sink in so if I keep it in my routine it would be for PM. So far my go to is CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and I'm curious to find a cream that is a little more complex in it's ingredients list THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil (Fragrence free) I've been using this for a few weeks now. It is nice for hydration, but it sits on my skin. I feel like it sits on my skin for a long time. If I'm going straight to bed, I feel like it gets on my pillow and hair making a oily mess. I like to use this if I know I have time before laying down
I have been in love with this brand for a long time now. I have psoriasis, so this brand is a life saver for me. I use the eye repair cream off and on when I feel like my under eye area is very dry or just needs some tlc. The healing ointment I love because it starts as an ointment texture but rubs in very nicely and doesn’t stay greasy. I love using this on my lips, any dry spots on my face and on my hands. The moisturizing cream has been one of my favorite body lotions. It makes your skin feel instantly hydrated and is amazing for sensitive skin. Sensitive/Dry Skin Relief - IMMEDIATE RESULTS 🤩
Okay so I’m pretty much a skin care noob and have been browsing Cherie for the past month or so looking to change that 😇 I have sensitive/dry skin throughout the year and have used some moisturizers in the past that worked until they didn’t... The products I’ve used in the past while hydrating, left my face feeling oily/sticky pretty much all day after application and clogged my pores pretty badly. I’ve had a lot of success with hyaluronic acid body creams and really loved how it worked for my legs/arms so I was looking for some kind of cream that would give me that same affect but for my face. After a little bit of research, I settled on trying out PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream and oh my goodness it has done WONDERS for my dry skin. The product is recommended to be applied twice a day and advertises to last atleast 72 hours after application. You could definitely apply once after your morning face wash and still have that moisturized feeling all day. I’m honestly in love. I was very worried about trying out another product only to have it leave the same oily/sticky feeling and clogged pores but this cloud cream is SO LIGHTWEIGHT while leaving a cooling feeling all day since it draws atmospheric vapor from your surroundings. I’m a huuuuuge night owl and for sure don’t get the recommended 8 hours of sleep which shows from the apparent dark circles under my eyes... 🙇🏻♀️ I picked up OLE HENRIKSEN - C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer I had been looking for a good eye cream that would help fix that issue and reduce the appearance of my wrinkles. I wish I had taken before/after pics because I promise you I have seen an INSANE difference in just two uses. I apply this morning and night before bed. Product is pretty small but well worth the price as you don’t need to apply much. It also leaves a barely noticeable shimmer under your eyes which I love!!!

Smart products that are great for sensitive dry combination skin
Fresh Deep Hydration Face Cream I discovered Fresh through a British fashion and beauty influencer, Josie LDN, when she talked about the brand on her Instagram stories. Her skin was glowing and she doesn’t have any pimples or redness or anything we don’t want on our skin, so I thought I should try this out for myself. I have dry combination skin so I like my moisturizers rich and heavy, especially when I use them for nighttime. Daytime is a bit different as I put on foundation and makeup so I like my face creams to be on the lighter side. I have tried gel-based moisturizers and I know they’re lightweight and hydrating, but weren’t enough for my thirsty facial skin. This face cream is gel-cream based but it contains hyaluronic acid, which is super hydrating and is against skin aging so I don’t doubt the plumping power of anything that has HA in it. Even if it’s a gel cream type moisturizer, it is super hydrating. I think it’s best for dry skin as it meant to drench your skin with all the moisture you want. My dry combination skin loves it. It feels amazing against my skin, and my face feels so hydrated. I like layering my serum with this before going to bed at night. I wake up with happy, hydrated skin! And the rosy smell is such a bonus! I feel like I’m transported to the rose farm Josie went to during a Fresh PR trip she shared on her Instagram. I love this product! If you’re looking for a hydrating cream that smells lovely, this is the product to go for. Clinique Smart Custom Repair Eye Treatment My eye skincare ritual is relatively recent as compared to my whole face regimen. I got worried from having crow’s feet so I tried on a couple of eye creams and serum to include in my ever so complicated yet heavenly skincare routine. My overall skin type is dry combination and sensitive. Given that the eye area is extra sensitive as it has the thinnest skin compared to the rest of our face, I knew I needed to take extra care of my eye area. I don’t have wrinkles yet and eye bags, but I do have under eye discoloration, so this is what I wanted to treat. I came across this custom care product on the Clinique website, and thought that sounds great. Anything custom-made (like the Biologique Recherche range that is supposed to be advised by an aesthetician) is good for the skin- that is what I believe in at least. This product did not disappoint! It is by far one of my favorite eye creams as it immediately addressed my main problem- dark under eye circles. I saw the difference after using it for only a couple of days. The dark under eye circles are noticeably brighter. I take it as the 2nd to the last step on my daytime skincare regimen, and the last one at night time. It works well for me. I love that the results are pretty immediate as I like my skincare products to work as hard as I do. Definitely recommend this product to those who suffer from dark under eye circles like me.
The Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado is described as being a creamy, moisturizing eye treatment to serum that moisturizes the under eyes with avocado oil. This eye treatment is designed specifically for people with dry skin, since it is super creamy. ⭐️ This eye treatment is a staple in my routine. I’ve used it for about a full year now and I don’t plan on switching to another one anytime soon. I take the tiniest amount and gently pat it in with my ring fingers for the most luxurious, moisturized effect I’ve ever experienced with an eye serum. I typically have flaky skin around my eyes and this really smooths it out. I would highly recomend this to anyone with dry skin looking for a really good eye treatment. Also, don’t bother buying the big size, the smaller size is a way better deal and I still haven’t used all of it yet.

A good nighttime eye cream
I’ve been using FAB’s retinol eye cream for several weeks now, and here are my thoughts: I love it, but it does pill badly under makeup :/ The formula contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate and retinol to lessen wrinkles. While I don’t have any issues with wrinkles yet, my undereyes do tend to be dry. I love the packaging of this product, as the precise tip makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product. The texture is thick and creamy, and it feels soothing on my skin. It absorbs well into my skin, but sadly it does pill under my makeup, despite every primer trick I’ve tried. At $42 for .5 oz, I won’t be repurchasing. It’s more than I want to spend for a product that I can only use at night.

SUMMER FRIDAYS DUPE?!?!
CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream This night cream has an exclusive complex of biomimetic peptides that work to refresh tired-looking skin, hyaluronic acid to help the skin retain moisture and three essential ceramides that restore and reinforce the skin’s barrier while you sleep. This night cream targets the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and also helps to provide intense hydration. The consistency of this night cream is super thick! So I decided to try this product because I was in desperate need of a moisturizer/cream that would help with my dryness. I have been using this product on and off for a few months and I love it! As a “drugstore” skincare product, this product was super effective in providing intensive hydration. It also helped my skin look super radiant the morning after. Another reason as to why I liked this product is because it really reminded me of Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask. I would recommend this product to others, especially to those who need some extra hydration! This product is super affordable and effective. It currently retails for $13.99 at Target!
