This or That: Best Product for Shiny Hair
My hair is wavy, very prone to frizz and I have a lot of baby hairs that won’t quit. Lately, I’ve noticed that it’s lacking in the shine department. Suddenly in dire need of shiny hair, I decided to scroll through Sephora’s hair bestsellers to see which products could help. I landed on Kerastase’s Elixir Ultime Oil Serum (which has 4 ½ stars and ranks in at $50) and Amika’s Supernova Moisture and Shine Hair Cream (which has 4 stars and ranks in at $25). A little about the products: KÉRASTASE - Elixir Ultime Oil Serum

Dupe for Kerastase Hair Oil...? Even Better!
CGM! The best curl defining cream I have ever used😍
Many girls pay attention to keeping their curls last longer. This hair oilMOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment must be familiar to everyone. MOROCCANOIL - Intense Curl CreamThis curly styling cream and hair oil are perfect matches. They can both fix damaged hair and keep curls. The first time I used this cream was in a salon. I feel it was moisturizing but not sticky at all. I immediately asked what product it was and then bought it! It can be used for a long time. I think girls with curly hair should have one at home no matter whether your hair is damaged or not. I have to say this is really the best moroccanoil curldefining cream I have ever used. After washing my hair, I'll apply hair oil and this cream to my hair. Whether it is blow dried or air dried, my curls will be shaped well. It also smells good. It is a little expensive but the price is ok for me. It should be better to use it with Moroccan hair oil, but when I ran out of it, I replaced it with KÉRASTASE - Elixir Ultime Oil Serum. To be honest, I'll not rebuy Kerastase hair oil. After using it, it is difficult to wash my hair, and my hair doesn't feel soft. I highly recommend Moroccanoil hair oil and curl defining cream!
Cute high ponytail for short hair 💁🏻♀️
Summer is here and some days I just can’t stand having my hair on my face! This is my go-to hairstyle for when I want to put my hair up but still look cute and fun! I have medium thick, wavy hair that tends to get heavy so I need to be careful not to over condition it so I’ll often skip conditioner in the shower and just use something to style it and add some moisture like the amika: - Supernova Moisture and Shine Cream which also helps a TON with frizz 🙏🏼 For this hairstyle I just put my hair up in a classic high ponytail, top it off with a scrunchy and curl the hair on the pony with a good, ol’ regular curling iron 🤗 What’s your fave go-to cute summer hairstyle? 💗
A good part can change your face!
Hi! Today I want to discuss face shapes and why I choose to use a side part! My hair: thick, color treated, often needs product to look sleek and frizz-free My face shape: oblong, definitely not round! Pointed chin The before: middle parts don’t look good on my face shape! Since I already have a really long face, having a middle part makes my face look even longer, which I don’t love. Instead... The after: I LOVE parting my hair on the left side, especially deep parts! Most days, I wear my hair down like this, and maybe add a small pin on the right side to pull some hair back. Thus, my face looks more proportional and round, and it accentuates my cheek bones! Whatever hairstyle you feel confident in though, go for it!! This is just my personal preference of how I like to style my hair to give it the most volume and life! amika: - Supernova Moisture and Shine Cream I use this cream to add shine and pat down the baby hairs near the part line. #cheriecreator #cheriepartner
Love these! 😍
Ever since I’ve been home more I’m trying to take care of my hair more! My hair has been so damaged from straightening it almost every day pre-quarantine 😅 🤍I’m not straightening my hair as much right now so I wanted to try Olaplex products to see if they can repair the damage on my thick-wavy hair. Mini review: 🤍 OlaplexOLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Crème: I use this product on wet hair and it makes really smooth and shiny. I also really like the smell of this product! It has a nice creamy texture that doesn’t make my hair feel greasy and doesn’t weigh it down! 🤍 OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3: I use this on damp hair before I wash my hair. I love this product so much! It really makes the hair so soft and reduces the amount of splits ends I have! My hair feels so healthy and shiny after using this!

You know, not all balayages need to be low, I freehand painted this one up to her scalp! It gives her such a beautifully blended look. I kept lots of dark pieces in so when it grows out, it’d look natural! This client only comes in twice a year and she always tells me “all my friends this I get my hair done monthly because it grows out so beautifully and blended”. That’s a HUGE thing. Nowadays people don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars every month to take care of their hair, so this is a more affordable way to add some dimension and not break the bank! (Even though I would love to see you more than twice a year, please get regular haircuts so we can grow your hair out) I used a nice violet tone in her hair to give it extra light/icy pieces throughout! Toner doesn’t last forever, but this one is my go to!! Products used: OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme (a true life saver I might add) KEVIN.MURPHY - Body Mass KEVIN.MURPHY - Anti.Gravity Spray KEVIN.MURPHY - Bedroom.Hair KEVIN.MURPHY - Shimmer.Shine KEVIN.MURPHY - Smooth.Again ...yes I use tons of products but your hair feels and smells so amazing afterwards, you won’t want to wash your hair😂
How I deal with my thick, wavy, and frizzy hair
When I was little my hair used to be straight up curly. Over the years as I grew up (and as my emo phase raged on) I heat styled it to death so depending on how long I go without heat styling I have anywhere from curls to waves. Right now with my hair being so short it’s just simple waves. With it being so short in the back as well it makes it a lot easier for me to straighten it then deal with the waves. The first video is my natural waves I woke up with. I washed my hair the night prior and used the Amika Flash Instant Mask in the shower as well as the Chi Silk Infusion after I got out. The Chi Silk Infusion is something I use on my hair when I wash it regardless of length or curl phase it’s going through (it’s usually a lot curlier when it’s longer). It’s a gel/oil consistency that smooths the hair and makes it feel silky soft. Whenever I heat style my hair I always use the IGK - Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray . I usually part my hair into sections, spray all over, and comb through (which you’ve seen me do in past videos). This smells amazing, acts as a heat protectant, and smooths down any excess frizz (which I get a lot of). Then I take my Paul Mitchell flat iron and iron my hair. I do this in three different sections so everything is straightened properly and I don’t have any waves or bumps. Then I take the OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil which I just started using recently. I was surprised with how lightweight this oil was and how it didn’t make my strands feel greasy or weighed down no matter how much I used. It feels silky smooth and I’ve noticed a lot less frizz when I use this product in the ends. This is how I deal with my hair on a normal basis. When it was longer I would usually throw it up in a bun with a head band but with it being so short I can no longer do that. Being shorter with all the smoothing products and heat styling it makes it a lot easier for me to manage throughout the day.

Wavy Hairspray: Yes to Movement, No to Crunch
Styling wavy hair can be tricky. My wavy hair is thick in volume yet fine in texture, going down to my mid-back, and it loves to frizz. To control this, hairspray is my best friend. But, not all hairspray was made equally- I’ve ended up with a veritable helmet of hair more than once. I love movement to keep my hair from looking flat, so I was an instant convert when I tried the amika: - Fluxus Touchable Hairspray 💕 • Crunch? I spend money + time to keep my hair soft, so why would I dry it out with hairspray? Fluxus manages to avoid being overly drying, taming fly-always without coating hair in a stiff mess. • Movement? Speaking of stiffness, that’s what you’ll be avoiding with Fluxus. My hair still moves in the breeze, easily combed through with my fingers. No helmet 🙌🏽 How I Style: I’m a minimalist, but I don’t like being a puffball. So when I’m not wearing my hair in a ponytail and ballcap, I typically stick to the tried-and-true! Wash and condition (or amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo and amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner ) followed by a wide-tooth comb detangling session. Briogeo - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil applied to tips. Then, once everything has dried, I spray a liberal amount of Fluxus in my palm and smooth my hands over my hair. I repeat a couple times, focusing on my fly-aways and baby hairs, until everything is smoothed and settled. Fancy? No. Easy and effective? Yup!

😳Why box dye is TERRIBLE for your hair
As some of you may know by now, I am a licensed cosmetologist. I see TONS of clients everyday and a large amount of my new clients are color corrections. What’s a color correction? Wells color correction is usually a pricey service that a hairstylist does once your hair is compromised from box dye...or maybe you gave yourself a hOMBRÈ. Yeah I called you out😂 This service is so pricey because it can take HOURS to fix this situation. This haircolor, took FIVE hours. She had three layers of red box dye in her hair and about two inches of regrowth that was lighter than the red. Trust me I wanted to cry when I saw it. This is every hairstylists worst nightmare. A client wanting to be blonde but their red. Lol not gonna happen. As you can see, there’s still some red, that’s where she really overlapped her box dyes. Box dyes are progressive dyes that really buildup on the hair. They have metallic salts that can build up and reeeaally dry out the hair....not fun. If I do a color correction over boxed hair I will seriously FORCE clients to get Olaplex added to the color and lightener. It’s soo damaged just in general and it’ll be worse after a huge chemical service like this one! Use these to prevent any further damage OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner amika: - The Wizard Detangling Primer OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme KEVIN.MURPHY - Smooth.Again

Day-to-Day Heat-Free Hair
I’ve been growing out my hair, so I especially don’t like using heat often- even with heat protection, I worry about long-term damage to my ends that will be noticeable for a while as I aim for waist-length tresses. So, here’s how I keep my hair frizz-free on my usual days where I’ll be hanging out inside, hitting the gym, and running errands! • *amika: - Vault Volor-Lock Leave-In Conditioner is like if detangler and a leave-in softening treatment had a baby. It doesn’t weigh down my hair but helps to keep my hair soft and touchable as it air-dries... plus makes combing much less of an annoyance despite the thickness of my hair! • *amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner is amazing even on days I’ve washed. Air-drying can leave my wavy hair a bit untamed and fluffy, so brushing after applying Silken Up keeps my hair frizz-free and silky, like a less drying version of hair spray! • *amika: - Blockade Heat Protectant Serum probably makes less sense on an air-dry day but I’ve fallen in love with it for how it tames split ends and increases shine when I take a very small amount over my hair with my palms. I use this throughout the day as well, particularly after a windy car ride, to scrunch my hair with my hands without creating a frizzy mess. #CheriePartner *PR Sample
