90s makeup with only 4 products!
The 90s gave us a lot of amazing makeup trends, but one that I always love to recreate is the blue eyeshadow trend. Back in the day, everyone went for the frosty blue look and I’ve found that you can easily recreate it in just 2 steps. First, you need a light iridescent pink eyeshadow shade to create your base. I love using the shade Silk Teddy from my Too Faced Natural Eyes palette and then adding a little extra to the inner corner for some added sparkle. Once that’s applied, I go in with Stila’s Suede Shade Liquid Eyeshadow in the shade Something Blue, which is a gorgeous sky blue hue that has a hint of shimmer. I like to apply it all over the lid with the applicator it comes with and then use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend it out and create a diffused look. My eyes are almond shape and slightly hooded and I’ve found that this formula dries really fast, so you have to be quick with your blending or else it won’t move the way you want it (which you can kind of see in the video). Because of that, this formula isn’t my favorite but Something Blue is the perfect color for this kind of look. To make the look even more ‘90s, I recommend applying your favorite pink blush and really going for it. For my look, I added a generous amount of Tower 28’s Beach Please balm in the shade Magic Hour and then finished it off with a sweep of Tower 28’s ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss in clear. #CherieCreators

Tower 28 BeachPlease Tinted Lip+Cheek Balm
TOWER 28 - BeachPlease Tinted Lip + Cheek Balm Happy Hour is BRIGHT but she blends well! This is so highly pigmented but is also a really nice shade for winter, like that cold weather blush sort of look if you know what I mean. This is so easy to sheer out, just make sure you don’t apply a crazy amount and you’ll be fine! If you apply too much just use a beauty blender over it to smooth things out.
The Creamiest Blush
i love cream products- a plus if it’s a multi-tasking- and this sinks right into the skin and has a nice natural finish. it gives the perfect flush on your cheeks- you can use it on your lips too! this is a 🌟

Sephora Sale x Friends Discount Haul 🎁
Merry early Christmas to me 😝 a couple of weeks ago, I went into store for the first time in a while to check if I could get certain items in person instead of waiting online. I lowkey only went in for two things, but was also in a buying mood... you know the one 😬 by the time I was at checkout, a girl I know that works there blessed me with a Family & Friends discount at 20% so I wanted to take advantage... and here we are now. I ended ordering the stuff online through the store bc not everything was available in store 😅 I’m excited to try all of these items, as I’ve been eyeing some of them for a while! Remember, we don’t want to over shop, so personally I make sure I limit myself by staying within a certain shopping range I mainly only shop “clean beauty” I don’t buy pricey items unless they’re on sale I don’t need any more skincare for now, so I mainly only buy makeup for experimentation I got a mini set of the TOWER 28 - ShineOn Lip Jelly. I’ve been curious about this brand for some time and though most of these colours (pink and purple) wouldn’t be my first choice, I’m stoked to try out the formula as well as the orange gloss. I also got a full size of this jelly, in Almond, since I got a discount on $18 CAD, which already is quite a decent price! tarte - SEA Water Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 when I saw that it was on sale, I couldn’t help myself but to try it, as I’m on the search for the perfect, creaseless foundation that does not hang out in my smile lines 👏🏽 tarte - Maracuja Magic Foundation Prep Set I’ve been meaning to try a makeup blender sponge for some time now & since this set was on sale, I decided to say yes to an extra oil. Look at this little gateway of skincare into my purchase 😜 tarte - Sea Jelly Glaze Anytime Lip Mask Set Ok so yes I’ve been eyeing for a little while, but I wasn’t going to get it until I got the Family and Friends discount 🥵 Which one would y’all like a review on first?! ✨
Favourite Lip Glosses!
So lately I’ve been ready into lip glosses and sheer lip looks so I thought I’d share some of my faves as of lately! FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Shade: Fu$$y CAD $25 I love this lip gloss and have heard so many good things about it! Although it is on the more expensive side (for me at least!) but I think it’s worth it. It’s a lot more sheer than I expected but it looks super good over a a more pinky lipstick! I like to wear it over lip stains to make my lips look more glossy as lip stains can make your lips look a lot dryer. Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss Shades: Jaws, Dip, and Jellyfish CAD $36 full-size $33 for the set of minis I also really love this lip gloss set I got from Kosas. This is also a more expensive gloss/oil but if you get it in the set of three like I did it’s WAY cheaper (however it is limited edition). These glosses are super pigmented, especially the red one! They look super natural for a little pop of colour on your lips. They’re also good toppers for lipstick! TOWER 28 - ShineOn Lip Jelly Shades: Spicy and Chill CAD $18 I discovered this brand when I was searching for the best clear gloss about a year ago. The clear shade is awesome as a topper for lipstick but I usually tend to wear it just on its own for a natural glossy look. The red one is very pigmented but still looks natural and doesn’t look like a lipstick (which I prefer). It also lasts a long time (not under a mask though unfortunately) but unfortunately is on the thicker side which some people might not like so I can sometimes feel quite sticky. All in all though these are some of my favourite glosses and there all clean beauty. COLOURPOP - So Juicy Plumping Gloss Shade: Big Slice CAD $8 I love a lot of ColourPop product but their lip glosses are some of my faves. This is a plumping gloss so if you’re not used to that then it will sting. It gives a nice sheer red colour which I love and looks good on its own with a no makeup look. It’s super travel friendly with the squeezy bottle and I like to keep this one in my purse. It’s also super inexpensive which is a huge plus.
Is it soft enough? 👀🤔
Now we’re dwelling onto soft girl makeup! What is soft girl makeup? For what I could gather the soft girl makeup aesthetic is all about embracing a girly, sweet, feminine persona. Think pink, peachy pastel colors on the lids, freckly faces and lots of blush. I’ve been doing my makeup like this for a while lol so I guess you could say this is my aEsTHeTic 😇 For this look I used pretty much all the makeup I always talk about 😛 if you want to try cute, fun makeup looks I would definitely recommend checking out Colourpop! I personally really like the brand because they offer cool products that are pretty good in my opinion. I have yet to try something from them I didn’t like. If you can get the COLOURPOP - Baby Got Peach please do! The colors are my favorite and the packaging is so cute plus it’s super wearable and you can easily get everyday looks out of it or something more fun. #CheriePartner

today’s dreamy pink look
i used a ton of new products in this look and i wanted to talk about them! NYX - Faux Whites really nice white color, not super easy to get on. i had to use a little bit of force but once it was on, what a payoff! bh - Take Me Back to Brazil 35 Color Pressed Pigment Palette these colors are gorgeous. i’m not adventurous enough yet for a lot of these shades, but i used a beautiful duo of burgundy red and champagne/bronze along with many of the shades in the Too Faced - Tutti Frutti Razzle Dazzle Berry Eyeshadow Palette pixi - Cheek & Lip Multibalm mine is in the shade Soft Strawberry, and it is so blendable and goes on really nice. i haven’t used a cream blush before and this one is wonderful! MAC - Lustre Lipstick this is creamy and sheer, and is great for layering if you’re looking for a specific look. overall, these products are beautiful! strong recommendation and hope you guys can find some inspiration!

The sun show bronzer
Kosas the Sun Show moisturing baked bronzer gives the perfect radiant sun kissed glow with couple big fluffy swipes. It is infused with clean ingredients such as Shea butter and meadowfoam oil that helps to lock moisture in your skin while giving you the perfect smooth skin texture like the sun kissed your face. I love the powder to cream finish which is easily picked up on my skin. Kosas - The Sun Show Bronzer
ANASTASIA Beverly Hills-Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil
Subtle sunset vibes 🌅 ☀️
I wanted to create a subtle dewy look. I wanted to use the least products possible. I personally think it looks pretty cute, considering I’m really new to eyeshadow. ☺️☺️ I used the Jackie Aina Anastasia Beverly Hills palette. It’s super pigmented and beautiful! I made sure to prime my eyelids before applying shadow on. On the bottom eyeliner I used shades “Ginger”, matte caramel brown & “Wiggalese”, metallic cranberry red with a tiny bit of “edges”, matte peach. I mixed those 3 together to create a sunset orangey color. On the top eyeliner color I used a tiny bit of “Ginger” and “Dwollahs”, metallic golden olive. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette For my brows I used the it cosmetics brow powder pencil in universal taupe. I used a small amount and tried to make my brows look as natural as possible. it Cosmetics - Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil I used my current favorite glossier mascara. It makes my lashes look really long and really pretty. Also the wand has the right amount of product and not excess like others. I highly recommend this. Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara For my cheeks and lips I used the tower 28 Beach please tint in the shade “magic hour”. This has become my summer staple. It leaves my face dewy but not looking super sweaty. I use the smallest amount and it looks natural. TOWER 28 - BeachPlease Luminous Tinted Balm For a glossy look on my lips I used my holy grail elf lip lacquer in clear. it Cosmetics - Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil

“Subtle” eGirl makeup? 🤔 (she tried)
If you’re on the internet a lot like myself, chances are you’ve come across someone sporting “eGirl” makeup. What is an eGirl you might be wondering? Well, I’m not pretty sure of what the term really means.. or who would be considered an eGirl? I have so many questions lol but if we’re talking eGirl makeup then I do know the aesthetic is very similar to what emo/punk makeup was in my day, but with an “I’m baby” quality and kinda more glam? This type of makeup is often characterized by the use of soft pinks, purples, heavy winged liner, big wispy lashes, glossy lips and blushed noses ✨ I tried following a tutorial i found on Pinterest, but kind of more subtle to make it something I would personally wear out 🥰 I’ll list what I used below 💜💜 ⭐️ DIOR - Forever Skin Glow Foundation I love lightweight foundations that give me a natural finish but that I can build up in case I want a more medium coverage. This is my absolute favorite!! It’s simply amazing, it’s creamy but not heavy. ⭐️ DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer eGirl always have flawless skin, so I used my favorite concealer on some areas like my under eyes, around my nose and on my chin to cover up some redness. ⭐️ COLOURPOP - Sailor Moon x Pretty Guardian Eyeshadow Palette if you’re able to get your hands on this palette I’d say get it! I think the CP Sailor Moon collection is such a polarizing one but I personally loved it. Aside from the fact that it sells out every time in like 0.3 seconds 🙃 I think it’s such a cute collection. ⭐️ COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush I don’t know if this shade is still available, but Colourpop has such cute blush shades, but also any peachy blush works just fine. ⭐️ BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter a friend gifted me this in the iconic Champagne Pop shade, I love it. So creamy and blinding! ⭐️ Glossier. - Pro Tip Brush Point Liquid Eyeliner solid eyeliner, reminds me of my favorite Japanese brush tip liner. ⭐️ flesh - FLESHY LIPS Sheer Lipstick idk if flesh is even a brand now but I love the formula of this lipstick, it’s balmy and feels hydrating. #CheriePartner

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
