Charlotte Tilbury’s Setting Powder Can’t Hang?

**I’ve only used this product once so this is my first impression of it I have been an admirer of Charlotte Tilbury’s products for quite some time now and have been dying to try its Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. As its name suggests, it has a reputation of making the skin look airbrushed and free of shine, which I need in my life. More deets about the powder: This breathable, micro-fine powder technology gives you an immaculate complexion that acts like a luxe, micro-fine cashmere veil on top of your skin for a bright, perfecting finish. Rose wax and almond oil hydrate the skin throughout the day and enable the powder to blend on flawlessly, while reducing shine. Nourishing actives work to soothe and restore skin, while light-reflecting ingredients diffuse light as it hits your face for a luminous complexion and even finish all day. The powder costs $45 which i think is a lot so I’ve always been hesitant to try - but I got as a gift for my bday and was so excited to try. I haven’t really found a powder that I truly liked or that has actually kept my makeup locked in/prevented shine. My review: The airbrushed effect is no joke. When I first applied it, I was in awe of how smooth and radiant my skin looked. But as the day progressed, my T-zone got a bit oily and I noticed the product had caked into some dry spots — also does anyone have suggestions for hydrating primers/how to not make my foundation/powder cakey? Since I started using prescription retinol it’s been so hard to figure out!! I have to keep using this product to see how I feel about it. I really want to love it. As anyone tried it?!

AnnaQueenI’m not a huge primer fan but one I can suggest is Too Faced Hangover primer. It feels like a gel moisturizer almost and also extra moisturizer as a primer is great too

Let’s talk Charlotte Tilbury Setting Powder
I bought Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder after reading so many rave reviews, and I wanted to LOVE this powder, but in all actuality it was just eh. I hate to say that when so many people love this powder. Claims: an ultra-fine setting powder that blurs imperfections and visibly reduces shine. Breathable, micro-fine powder technology gives an immaculate complexion, acting as a micro-fine cashmere veil on top of the skin, for a bright, perfecting finish. It doesn’t sit in lines. Nourishing actives work to soothe and restore skin, while light-reflecting ingredients diffuse light as it hits your face to give a luminous and even complexion all day. Perfect if you have an oily T-Zone or just want an even complexion. 💭My Thoughts💭 First off I do love CT packaging, so simple but so old school glam (I’m a sucker for rose gold and copper) it’s sleek and just screams glamorous -of course- the powder itself is soft and fine-milled and feels very luxurious. The first time I wore it, I did like any other powder over my foundation and I was underwhelmed, almost like “is that it?” It did give me a soft look, but it didn’t look airbrushed soft, a little above average. The next few applications I tried different ways to apply it and even changed the foundation as well, I even tried just the powder and each time it was the same feeling. My oiliness wasn’t kept at bay any more or better than it is by my usual setting powder, I’m simply underwhelmed. In my opinion this powder isn’t worth 💲45there are plenty of comparable powders at 1/2 the 💲, if not even less. Do I think it’s worth it, no, but everyone is different and we all have different skin types and needs. I do plan to continue using the powder until I’m finished, but I won’t be repurchasing🚫

my base makeup products for hot summer days🌞
1.smashbox photo finish primerizer smashbox - Photo Finish Primerizer The texture is similar to that of lotion. I have to say, it is sticky. It's more suitable for dry skin. 2.NARS Natural Radiant Long Wear Foundation NARS - Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation scent:★★★☆   hydrating:★★★★  oil control:★★★☆   coverage:★★★★  my thoughts:It's won't let your face feel dehydrated as long as you use skincare products before applying this. But without setting powder or setting spraying, it may be a little bit sticky and greasy. It's between medium to high vocerage.✨ 3.L.A. GIRL HD Pro.Conceal #Medium Bisque L.A. Girl - HD Pro Concealer The texture is creamy and liquidy, very easy to blend. The brush is designed very convenient to use. 👍 4.KKW BRIGHTENING POWDER #1 KKW BEAUTY - Brightening Powder You can tell by the name that the powder is use to brighten the skin.✨ Mine is #1, the shade is very light. I only use it to brighten my under eyes area. 5.Charlotte Tilbury flawless finish micro powder#1 Fair Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder This setting powder creates a matte finish which I LOVE!😍 It seems 100% natural like there's no-makeup. The coverage is medium.   6.wet n wild highlighting powder #321B wet n wild - MegaGlo Highlighting Powder I bought this few years ago. I thought the shade is too dar for me but now I just love it! The texture is soft, not that powdery.

Perfection in a powder

Over the years of being as makeup obsessed as I am, there is still a ton of brands I haven’t tried. I recently purchased something from one of those brands and it was the Huda Beauty Easy bake loose baking and setting powder, whew try saying that all at once! I love this powder. It sinks in nicely but does not leave me a key like a lot of powders do. Instead I’m left with a nice flawless finish that last for hours!

I have found that the Huda Beauty loose powder in the shade Blondie is just perfect if you were fair skin tone like me. A little bit of this is all you need to set your make up in place. This shade works great for fair skinned beauties.

I love this powder for setting anywhere and everywhere on the face. It really gives the skin a perfect, airbrushed finish. It’s pricey, but well worth it. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder
