UPDATE — FOREHEAD BUMPS

DNC
So it has definitely calmed down a bit! It’s just these little bumps now...I also switched my shampoo/conditioner and that cleared all the bumps I had on my hairline! (if i wouldn’t taken a picture in this lighting for my previous post it would’ve looked much much worse lol) What I’ve been using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
— been using this all over my face and it’s been working well! the hydrating one made me break out all over my face so I’m happy this one isn’t! CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
- i like this a lot more than the cream The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
— reaaaallly helped with how much oil my skin was producing! I’ve seen a huge difference in the last couple of days! The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
— ive only used this twice, i just dabbed it onto my forehead, not all over my face, and i also think it helps a little! I still can’t figure out if this is fungal or not. Up close they look like blackheads/closed comedomes and I’ve read that fungal can’t be popped but I think a derm could extract them bc they look like blackheads. They also don’t itch at all. I put a Nizoral mask on for 5 minutes tonight so I’m curious if that does anything or not! I also bought The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionbut I’m scared to use it...does anybody think it would help? Any suggestions??? TY!

Relieving Bumpy Skin
Prior to using acids and chemical exfoliants, I experienced acne and persistent bumps (closed comedones) on my cheeks and forehead. I couldn’t figure out how to treat and handle them until I came across some videos and resources recommending chemical > physical exfoliants. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Long story short, it really helped with my frequent breakouts and I’ve noticed that my skin feels much smoother to the touch after consistent use in intervals. (1-3 times a week MAX). If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to let me know! For the love of god please help my skin
One thing I'd like to mention first, please ignore the bright red creasing on the inner corners of my nose, I am legally blind and my glasses are very heavy. okay! so, I've had acne since I was 8-9 years old (approx), it has ranged from cystic, blackheads, pretty much any kind you can get I've probably had or do have. I use acne patches for the really bad ones, but with the amount of acne I get it's not feasible. I use the inky list salicylic acid face wash currently, I tried CeraVe hydrating face wash, but that did horrors to my skin I'm still recovering from. I've also tried the cult fav peel from the ordinary, and their niacinamide 10% with zinc to no avail. I do still use CeraVes day time moisturizer, it doesn't really have any pros or cons for my skin, but also doesn't cause breakouts, right now I use it because it's what I have. Everytime I try using vitamin C my skin breaks out pretty bad which is a shame because I want to clean up the scarring as well. I've used retinols before, they normally work for about a week then what I normally assume is the purge doesn't go away until the product does. (products are listed at the bottom) A lot of my acne is stress based, it noticeably clears up when I'm not in school, but I hate just walking around like this my diet is about as great as any college kids diet, I do eat a lot of protein, and try to keep dairy on the lower side, but not cut out entirely, same with pasta, not much, but not gone. I'm really looking for something that is low on the budget side, but effective. a lot of the products I see are $60-$70 and that's just not practical for what I can afford please help my skin THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Products that helped my acne
I’ve struggled with acne since 7th grade (I’m 20 now). I have used a lot of products and there are a handful I want to share that have really helped me get closer to my clear skin goal. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator this is by far the best product I’ve ever used. My skin looks smoother and my acne has subsided tremendously. I can’t get enough of this. (I use it twice a week, working up to three). I really do believe this product is essential for clearer skin! CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin this moisturizer has been my go to for about 5 years. It always keeps my skin hydrated and really helped when I was on acne prescriptions because my skin would always get really dry. Curology - Curology formula I have a whole post dedicated to this, but it really did help me a lot. I like having dermatologist prescriptions over other treatments. So, this was a great option for me and worked wonders! CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I used to use the harshest face washed out there and strip my skin completely. This cleanser really helped me repair my moisture barrier and was gentle. My skin started looking really good after about 12 uses of this. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this stuff is a miracle in a bottle!! My face is way less sensitive and my oils are under control. The redness from my acne subsides with the help of this product and I find it to help my acne heal and become smaller faster. Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment this treatment really helped me when I had minimal breakouts. This dried out my pimples over night and helped them go away faster. This was a really nice treatment and I plan on using it again when my face is clearer and I no longer feel the need to continue curology!!

it’s been awhile so let’s update!!
as some of you may know, i had bad skin in the summer of 2020. i didn’t take care of my skin until later on but i had tried so many products that just wouldn’t work. i officially started to use the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin and the Nicidamide simpleza brand, & the Neutrogena spf gel moisturizer. these products really had a good out come on my skin. i rarely gr break outs because i’ve been watching my diet as well & my skin is the best it’s ever been :) i promise you you’ll get there! don’t give up babies much love

Am I using the right products for my skin?
Am I using the right products for my skin?
Hey guys!! So I’ve battled with acne my whole life and I’ve never found that one product that really works for me! As I’ve grown older my skin has obviously changed and so have my hormone levels, where i now find that my acne isn’t caused by hormones anymore. Only when *that time* comes I’ll get pimples on my chin and forehead but throughout the month it’s pretty alright. My struggle recently has been pimples on my cheeks which I realised was caused by my makeup. I have now created a whole new regime for myself and I’ve been going at this for about a month. As you can tell, I’m full of blemishes which are still present from pimples I’ve had months ago. So my question is, are the products i’m using going to help to get rid of the blemishes and help to completely clear my skin of pimples or am I going to end up clogging myself up and cause a bigger breakout ? In the AM I usually wash my face with my Cerave cleanser, use the niaminacide and zinc cream from the ordinary and then I’ll finish with my moisturiser and sunscreen. In the PM I’ll double cleanse with my squalene cleanser and my cerave cleanser, put on my niaminacide and zinc again and finish with my rose hip oil to hydrate my skin as I’ve felt quite dry in the winter. I’ll also use the Mario badesque drying lotion after to apply to any pimples and I’ll use the AHA and BHA exfoliating mask from the ordinary 1-2 times a week. I haven’t seen a massive difference yet and I am suffering from hormonal acne at the minute but I want to know if what I’m using will be promising as ive almost lost hope for my skin at this point. I would say I generally have normal skin with an oily t-zone as well :) (Also waiting for my Azelaic acid from the ordinary to come in the mail to help with my blemishes) If anyone could please please let me know what you think it would be greatly appreciated !

• I have been following this skincare routine for roughly a month or so.. I have Normal/Combo skin, and so far, I haven’t been seeing many noticeable changes on my skin. I struggle with small white bumps on my face, uneven skin tone, as well as hyperpigmentation. I did lots of research about skincare prior to purchasing these products, and I was recommended these products based on my skin type + struggles. • step 1.GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying I use this product every night to take off makeup and/or sunscreen. The bottle says to use a cotton pad, but I use my hands because I am trying to be more environmentally conscious. • step 2CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I heard good things about this cleanser from the Youtuber Skincare By Hyram. I also heard it worked excellently for other people, so I gave it a try. It’s been working pretty well for me so far. I cleanse every morning + night. • step 3 The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I struggle with dark spots (hyperpigmentation.) I heard this product is supposed to help brighten + fade dark spots, so I ordered it. I’ve been using it for roughly a month now, and I’m still not seeing results. I’m not gonna give up on the product, though. I use this every morning + night. • step 4The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Okay, I’m just gonna come clean and say that the only reason I bought this product is because Skincare By Hyram recommended it. But I ended up finding out it works well with The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA. I use this product every night. • step 5CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I heard this product was good, and everyone needs a good moisturizer in their life! I have nothing bad to say about it, its lightweight, and a go-to for me! I use this product every morning + night. • step 6Neutrogena - UltraSheer Face Sunscreen SPF 60I’ve heard good & bad things about this sunscreen. But so far, I dislike it. It feels heavy on my skin and it leaves a HUGE white-cast. It also doesn’t even dry on my skin. I kinda feel like its contributing to my acne because its so thick. I use this product every single morning. • Please criticize my routine, or tell me why it isn’t working all that well on my skin. Also, if you have any product recommendations for me, please, do tell!

Nighttime Skin Care Routine

CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin Mentioned in my previous post: my holy grail for facial cleansers! Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel I used the Neutrogena hydro boost cleansing gel as a double cleanser courteous to my Cerave hydrating cleanser. The main reason I double cleanse is to use the first cleanser (hydro boost) to take off an remaining makeup, diet, oil and toxins from the air before doing a deep cleanser (Cerave). I recommend double cleansing because it personally has helped my skin become cleaner and clearer! you can double cleanse with the same cleanser or you can use two different ones! The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution is an exfoliating toner to help with textured skin. Since it’s a exfoliating toner, it’s recommended to be used every other night (preferable). This is my favorite toner I have used so far! Personally, the exfoliating portion of it has helped my skin become smoother and dewy. I use this product about every other night. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution This chemical peel has been my favorite exfoliating product so far. This easy-at-home 10 mins peeling solution has improved my textured skin and reduced the appearance of my acne scarring! I would recommend if you have highly sensitive skin to do a patch test first, because after all it is a chemical peel. It does tingle and have a bit of burning sensation when first applied, but goes away within a couple minutes of use (that means it’s working ;)) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% my holy grail serum for my skin care routine. I have been using this since day one of starting my skincare routine and it’s been amazing! I get a hint of red after using my skin care products and thus has helped reduce the redness my face produces after my routine! this serum is also wonderful to help the appearance of your pores look smaller and helps with uneven skin tone! 100/10 recommend this product to be in your skincare routine! Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment I’m not a fan of Clean and Clear products, but after discovering this spot treatment, they have gained a little respect from me. I struggle with those are to get rid of cystic pimples and have never found a treatment strong enough to make them disappear until I started using this product. This product made my monster of a pimple completely disappear after one use! I continue to use it on others and it has made them disappear within a short amount of time too! CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin mentioned in my previous post!

GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover I start with micellar cleansing water to remove makeup and the days worth of oil from my skin CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I use the cerave cleanser to double cleanse my skin and help remove anything left from the micellar water The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’ve recently added this and I’m loving it so far! It seems to be helping with my acne and oil in my t zone along with my hyperpigmentation The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I’ve been using this for a while and love the way my skin feels CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I’ve also recently started using different moisturizers for morning and night so that my morning moisturizer has SPF instead of using a separate SPF The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I use the peeling solution once a week after my cleansing If there’s anything to suggest, I’m open!

Help!!

Ok so i need help making a skin care routine here’s the tea sorry it’s so long to read. I used to only wash my face with a spectro gel cleanser and use a cetaphil moisturizer every day and call it a day and my skin is starting to get bad again. I used to have really bad skin and tons of acne but it cleared up with birth control and age i guess. I still have some pretty big pores and dark spots and dark under eyes and i recently ordered a whole cetaphil skin care routine. It seems to be making my skin worse making little bumps on my forehead. I’m using the cetaphil foaming face wash, cetaphil daily scrub, followed by elf super toner, then cetaphil night cream in the pm and the cetaphil daily moisturizer with 15 spf and cetaphil eye cream. I also ordered the ordinary serums, i ordered the niacinamide 10% +1% zinc and the alpha arbutin 2% + HA which haven’t arrived yet. Please help me build a good skincare routine, i don’t mind spending money on better products but i don’t want to buy things that don’t work. My skin is combination. Any suggestions on products that would work, and what cetaphil product is giving me bumps on my forehead? all the products except the spf i can’t find: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HACetaphil - Hydrating Eye Gel-CreamCetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming CleanserCetaphil - Cetaphil Facial Night CreamCetaphil - Extra Gentle Daily Scrube.l.f. - Supertone Toner
