Wednesday Wellness 🙏🏾
This past week has been rather hard and long for me. I ultimately decided to get back on track with my wellness plan. My main wellness goal for 2021, is to indulge in myself more. I definitely am a firm believe in “as within, so without”. I started my day with: #Four Sigmatic - Mushroom Elixir Mix with Chaga[products]# I have been getting back into adaptogen and herbal medicine. What we put into our bodies is just as important as what goes on the outside. Adaptogens are apart of ancient medicinal traditions traced all over the world. I also drink Tulsi “Holy Basil” Tea. If you need a pick me up or emotional boost I highly recommend! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil

🛸🪐Acne products that are out of this world!
Hi lovely! Be sure to follow my Instagram for more content! @skincare_by_reba 😍 🛸 Let’s talk 𝐀𝐜𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬! 🪐 What are these products? Here we have SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil& SUNDAY RILEY - Saturn Sulfur Spot Treatment Mask UFO oil is a “fast-acting, quick-drying, medicated oil that clears acne and blackhead-causing buildup and debris from congested pores for smoother, blemish-free skin.” Saturn is “a medicated spot treatment mask that clears up acne while preventing new blemishes from forming.” 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Maskne has met its match with this combo 😍 UFO is a dry treatment oil, so it absorbs and dries beautifully. I typically use this in the morning as my first step after cleansing/essence. If my skin is feeling congested and I didn’t use UFO in the AM, I’ll use it followed by A+ at night and wake up to significantly improved skin! I incorporated this into my routine in September, and have found that the powerful ingredients have helped cure existing maskne and also keep future breakouts at bay. Saturn used to be sold in a bigger tube as an all-over mask, but has been re-marketed as a spot treatment. Because the 10% sulfur can be drying, it’s recommended to wash it off after drying. I found using it as a spot treatment as my last evening step & leaving it on overnight is super effective without being too drying. 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: After the sticker shock of A+, these may seem more reasonable! UFO oil is $40/.5oz and $80/1.18oz. My .5oz bottle has lasted me quite a while considering how frequently I used it when I first received it. I was using it on average 5 days/week, plus using up to an entire dropper full at a time for DIY masks - and it still has lasted nearly 4 months. I bought the 1.18oz bottle to use next, because it is reimbursable through my FSA! Saturn is $20/.5oz tube and I feel it will last me forever. Both are sold in the All About Acne Kit which is an amazing deal! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘯𝘦?
I love this oil for acne! LOVE!
Thanks so much to @cheriefor sending this oil to me. I am absolutely obsessed and it is saving my skin right now. So a little background, my skin has been breaking out due to cold weather. Cold weather usually makes me react terrible and I get dry, irritated, acne prone skin. This oil has been amazing! It contains 1.5% Salicylic Acid blended with hydrating Milk Thistle and Cucumber Seed Oil to deeply moisturize and prevent drying! It penetrates deep and helps relieve congestion. It also doesn’t over dry the skin which is really amazing in cold weather. SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil I am literally obsessed! If you suffer like me, I would highly recommend something like this. Do you have a favorite product in the winter?
10 Rules of Skincare ✨
Your roadmap to healthy, happy skin. 1. ALWAYS wear SPF. Yep even when it’s not sunny. Do it. 2. Do not pop 💥 your zits. Treat them instead! (Post to come on this 😊) 3. Exfoliate! Whether it’s a chemical or mechanical exfoliant. Regular exfoliation (2-3x per week) helps slough away dead skin cells and makes room for the new pretty ones. Plus it helps your skincare do its job 👍🏽 4. Do mask! I love multi-masking. I use a kaolin clay based purifying mask for my t-zones and a gentle cream based mask for my cheeks and décolleté 🧖🏽♀️ 5. 💧Moisturize morning and evening. These two products can be different depending on your skin type and goals. A common misconception is that oily skin types do not require moisturizing. 6. Avoid products that contain alcohol. This can lead to drying and irritation. Naturally derived alcohol like cetyl and stearyl are considered safe for the skin. 7. Introduce an eye cream! The skin around our eyes needs love too 👀 8. Change your pillow case every few days. These things harbor bacteria! Be mindful of fabric softeners or other harsh detergents that can be a cause of breakouts or skin irritation. 9. Don’t use makeup wipes to replace a cleanser. Just don’t do it. 10. Don’t use professional gadgets or skincare devices at home (unless you’ve had extensive training). Avoid suction devices or microderm tools you’ve seen on Instagram- leave that to a licensed aesthetician or dermatologist. And my own personal #1 rule ☝🏽: Don’t compare your skin journey to anyone else’s. We’re all on different paths here 😉
Strawberry Legs?? Let’s Talk About Pores on Your Legs!
If you have ever noticed small dark spots on your legs after shaving, then you may be wondering where they came from. Many people have nicknamed the presence of these little dark spots strawberry legs because of how they resemble the seeds of a strawberry.
Get rid of acne overnight!!! New favs in 2020
New Acne-fighting favs, Life changing product!! Love love love these!!! The acne dots and dark spot brightening dots together, it’s a skin correcting power combo! If I could give these 6 stars I would. I have been using these as my secret weapon when I get a big pimple because it completely gets rid of the bacteria and helps the skin heal faster. Put these on at night after washing your face thoroughly and the next morning you will see a significant difference in your ache. These aren’t cheap I’ve tried other drugstore brands of the dots, but none of them work as well as these. My skin is sensitive and I don’t have any negative reactions to the dots. I 100% recommend these!

Face Masks for Acne
The Indian Healing Clay mask if a natural mask that has no added ingredients, no parabens, and no chemicals. It is used to help draw out toxins from the skin and help eliminate acne. It also claims to help smooth and soften skin and help clear pores. This clay mask is specifically targeted towards those who have acne-prone skin. This product comes in an average sized container. It is super powdery and grainy. The container instructs you to actually mix this clay mask with apple cider vinegar or water if you have sensitive skin. So I have had this mask for a few years now. This mask is something I resort to if I’m having very bad breakouts. I decided to try this product out back when it was super popular. When I first tried this mask, I would only mix in apple cider vinegar with the clay mask; however, I have slowly started to reduce the amount of apple cider vinegar I use on my face and have started substituting it with water. I also like to add a little bit of turmeric into the mixture to help brighten my skin! Once you apply this mask on your face you should feel a heating sensation, as well as your skin starting to tighten. I found this clay mask to be super effective; however, it is very drying! As someone who has combination skin, the more you leave the mask the dry on the face, the more dry your face becomes afterwards. So if you do decide to use this mask, I recommend moisturizing after removing it! I would recommend this product to those who are just starting off using skincare. In my opinion, this is a fun yet effective face mask! I also recommend adding things into your mixture to help enhance the effects. This face mask retails for about $12.99 on Amazon and $7.99 at Target!
AZTEC SECRET-Indian Healing Clay
Hello! My skin problem
I’m new to this app and I have been looking for help with my skin. I have an oily nose and t-zone but get quite dry and flaky around my eyebrows and top of forehead, even my nose sometimes. I have a lot of scarring on my cheeks as well as acne but it has calmed down a lot over the years. I also have very large pores on my nose and cheeks. I have been trying to slowly get rid of my acne scars though have been unsuccessful with this. I got acne when I was 9 and it has been from my oily skin as well as a bit of hormonal acne. I have not visited a dermatologist as they are very expensive so that is not an option for me. I have tried many different types of cleansers, creams and serums and I have not been very successful with this. I also have very sensitive skin and a small amount of psoriasis. Any tips would be appreciated! I currently use Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oilfor the scaring FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanseras a cleanser, morning and night The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%only just got this so obviously too soon to see results! Blackheads to be GONE in 1 month!!!
My skin is SUPER oily. We all know that people who have oily skin are more vulnerable to blackheads. They form when pores are clogged by a combination of dead skin cells and serum. Blackheads have open surfaces, which creates oxidation that is dark. Blackheads used to trouble me for a long time until I found an amazing blackhead remover combo! I've been using these 3 babes for 1 month and finally found the blackheads are GONE! 1. Chemical peels to dissolve oil 2 to 3 times a week STRIDEX - Daily Care Acne Pads with Salicylic Acid, Sensitive with Aloe It's great at dissolving grease and this acne pad is really convenient. Salicylic acid breaks down the materials that clog your pores such as excess oil and dead skin cells. Use one pad each time to wipe your entire face or just apply it on your pimples. 2. Apply the cleansing mask once a week Aesop - Primrose Facial Cleansing Masque I've used Kiehl's - Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque, Swisse - Skincare, Manuka Honey Cleansing Clay Maskand ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores before but I still think that Aesop cleanses my pores the best. This cleansing masque from Aesop is a clarifying, clay-based formulation which contains vitamin E, primrose, sage and other plant ingredients. It provides deep cleansing and sterilization effects, is anti-inflammatory, and it even minimizes pores. The delicate clay spreads smoothly on the skin and can be washed off after 15 minutes, leaving the skin clean and soft. 3. Remove blackheads once every half month MARIO BADESCU - Silver Powder The silver powder contains ingredients like Kaolin and Zinc Oxide, which help purify pores and debris. Apply it to dissolve and extract whiteheads and blackheads, then use a blackhead remover tool to scrape off the blackheads. Pro Tips: Mix just a few drops of water with the silver powder or else it will become too watery.Wash the silver powder off with a facial cleanser before scraping the blackheads for better resultsuse the Triple Action Acne Pads to shrink pores and for double cleansing! If you have any questions or suggestions hmu 😘💖‼️

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
