At Home Exfoliating Facial ✨✨

So I recently received the Mimi Co Exfoliating Wand via IG PR. I couldn’t wait to do a full facial and I decided to do it tonight. Order: I purchased a steamer from Amazon for $23 and I’m obsessed with it (DM me for product info). I started with UpCircle - Cleansing Face Balm With Apricot Powder
As my oil cleanse to get my sunscreen from today off and any other oils and dirts. INDIE LEE - Purifying Face Wash
This cleanser is perfect for getting dirts and oils from skin as well. It’s not drying and it’s totally worth it! I paired it with a face cleansing scrub brush, I also purchased from Amazon. I love it and I paid around $20 for it as well! It doubles the vibration frequency put out by Foreo. CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask
This was the mask I chose for the enzyme properties. This breaks down dirts and oils in pores and dead skin cells. I also steamed my face during this time. Follain - Toning Mist: Balance + Prime
This was what I sprayed over my face for the prep for my exfoliating wand. I didn’t have a true medium and I am out of Aloe Vera plants so😭 I then exfoliated with my wand starting at my cheeks and working upward and then to my forehead. I went down and to the sides of my nose. Glow slow! innisfree - Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion
I used the toner to cleanse my skin and get any dirts left over from me exfoliating. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask
I use this as my hydrating mask. I took the back of my Mimi Co Wand on switched to the Moisturizing Setting. I gently slid upwards my entire face for the last 2 mins only and then wiped the mask off with a damp cloth. earthtoskin - Tea Time Anti Aging Eye Cream
This is the most hydrating eye cream I own. I used this with the back of my cleansing brush on the heat setting! Yes it made my eye feel so hydrated and relaxed. fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer
This was the final step as a good moisturizer seals in everything! To prevent acne I use the SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil
as my last step. I didn’t use an astringent type toner, so I wanted to still treat my skin💚

Skin Update ✨✨
Okay this is a totally non filtered sun photo of my skin. Still working on minor texture this is due to my new skin routine (I posted about my morning and will post my night). I try and show my skin with new routines and products I use because I get so many ! The number one thing I will say is be consistent! I saw a post from @MelaninSkinCareAddict(great post you should go check it out) and I loved it and it inspired me to show results from some advice she saw. My last skin update was 12/22 which I showed a unfiltered close up of my skin and the breakout I had endure out of the states! I will say for texture, hyperpigmentation, and acne you need: effective vitamin C serum- should have vitamin E (tocopherol), hyaluronic acid, and Ferulic acid insta natural - Vitamin C Serum Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum retinol- DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel is my first go to, but now I use The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask (I use this on nights I don’t use The Ordinary retinol oil .. 2xs a week) cleanser made for you skin: should be tailored and effective my current faves: Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (2x week) COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser (only when I oil cleanse) (3xs a weeks when I wear my night mask) PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser (mostly for nights) toner: a great toner will be your friend! This is important for removing dirts and oils. If you wear makeup this is a necessity. PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner Murad - Clarifying Toner innisfree - Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion sunscreen: at least spf30 TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ELEMIS - Daily Defence Shield SPF30 moisturizer: a great moisturizer is your friend! So my faves fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer at night SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream during the day for hyperpigmentation before sunscreen ✨✨✨✨ Other things I love that have helped COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence I use this day and night after my toner. If you neee hydration this is my current go to! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Acne Treatment Face Oil I now use this on days I don’t use my vitamin C in the morning. PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum This has replaced my niacinamide from The Ordinary. If you want glass skin use this consistently! CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask I use this as my daily face mask once a week. I will be posting my detailed night routine soon as I’m redoing my entire on IG 🥰🥰

Innisfree Seawater: frootloop fragrance?
I have most of this Innisfree Seawater line and the fragrance IS a bit strong at first. Not bad in any way, just noticeable. But what is it? Reading the reviews, I came across descriptions such as ‘fresh’ and ‘clean’ but also ‘smells like frootloops’. Frootloops?!! I thought to myself, surely that can’t be right! But applied the serum again last night and yes...there has a distinct fruit or citrus scent. If I had to put money on it I’d say orange or tangerine as my closest guess. But why a citrus scent in a ‘lava mineral seawater’ product? Innisfree didn’t even bother to respond to me with what the actual fragrance IS, so probably won’t be getting an answer to either question. Now don’t let my talk about fragrance put you off of this stuff! The Toner, Emulsion, Serum and Cream Mask are all wonderful products! They all do what they promise and make my skin feel like the most delicate soft touch of a rose petal. The fragrance isn’t overpowering or headache inducing in any way. Its not flowery or chemical at all. Don’t let my queries on the fragrance steer you from trying it, especially if you can get ahold of a trial set! And if you have this line, or have tested it, I would love to hear your thoughts!innisfree - Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion I just received a very vague reply, see photos.

Jet lag mask for the jetless ✈️
I got this full sized product from my favorite subscription beauty box, Boxycharm. From first impressions, the packaging is absolutely elegant! I felt so fancy😂 I use this in the morning as part of my wake up routine, and I absolutely love it! It goes on smoothly, and it gives the skin a slight tingling sensation, which I love. It’s great for dry skin, and leaves my face looking refreshed and awake- ready to tackle mommin’ my 4 wild sons. It’s a pretty pricey product, so I’m conserving, but I will definitely repurchaseSUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask

How many masks are too many...?
I used to love masking! I’d do at least 1 to 2 a week. Now I’ve gotten lazy and just don’t do them and I have so many I need to start using before they expire! For me, I feel having an exfoliating mask and a hydrating mask is all you need. Unless your using the product consistently you’re not going to see changes. Masks are great for plumping up the skin, adding hydration and even a soft glow. But of all the masks I’ve used I’ve never found long term effects from them (except exfoliating). One way I like to use them is right before a big night (or day) out. To give my skin that added boost. Some that are great for doing so are: FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask (use as a 10 min mask) SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask And many others that help brighten and hydrate! I will also not go without my exfoliating masks which I do once a week. Some faves are: PAULA'S CHOICE - 25% AHA + 2% BHA Exfoliant Peel YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial And a few others I have that I liked to use; BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Tea Tree Detox Mask ELEMIS - Superfood Vital Veggie Mask bliss - Mighty Marshmallow Mask Unfortunately as I said, I just don’t mask as often as I used to. And I feel it isn’t necessary. If you like to then I suggest you get yourself an exfoliating and moisturizing/hydrating mask and you should be good to go. Treatments are where you want to really zone in and specialize your finances for. Is it Friday yet? Ugh! I’ve been down all week with a neck I cannot turn - ouchie! And a migraine on top of that! I’m ready to knock my dogs out cause they are wanting out every half hour (it’s nice here ⛅️) Much ❤️ my skinnies 🍒

Best Products with Antioxidants
three ships - Radiance Grape Stem Cell + Squalene Day Cream a light cream texture with grape stem cell and squalane. The grape stem cell contains antioxidants called anthocyanins which absorbs UV radiation. The grape stem cell is also embryonic which means it can change into any cell needed- in this case, acting as a catalyst to new skin cell production. Gives a beautiful glow as well. If you shop on their site, you can save 20% with my code LEENA 20. fresh - Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer Another lightweight cream with Super Lotus as the antioxidant component. Super Lotus was formulated to targets the first signs of aging by supporting the skin’s barrier and protecting from free radicals. The white, large jar is a day cream, while the smaller blue jar is the night cream. Its richer in texture and smells like peaches. fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil a rich but non-sticky oil; vitamin c is a known potent antioxidant, and while acting as a gold standard for skin brightening and hyperpigmentation reduction, its also a great antioxidant to help with preventing signs of aging. KOSMETIC IMMUNITY - Luminous Skin-Defense Moisturizer This light gel-lotion contains mBeta glucan for hydration and powerful antioxidants derived from Lotus, Aloe and Bamboo, helps protect skin, defending against environmental aggressors. All of these make excellent day creams depending on your brand and/or texture preference. Would highly recommend trying any of these if you're looking for a good antioxidant product.

Purchasing again, and again, and again......
When you find skincare that checks all your boxes - CLARISMA! In case you don’t know yet, enzymes are the next big thing. We’ve seen them here and there over the years but this line has fruit enzymes in all of its products. Yeeeeessss!! Why does this matter? Fruit enzymes gently exfoliate your skin clearing out pore clogs, built up dead skin, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, clears up acne, bumps under the skin, uneven texture, fine lines.... basically everything you don’t want, enzymes tackle. Why enzymes? Because they are gentle and we must be gentle with our skin!! Harsh acids that burn the skin and scrubs that are like sand paper is sooooo over. Gentle is best and it doesn’t mean not effective. Quite the opposite! Enzymes will perfect your skin. I’m 44 and this line has done more for my skin in mere months than acids and Retin A did over years. If I’m being honest, those probably did some damage. The best yet, this line is ridiculously affordable!! If you know of this line or you’ve used it, let me know!

These items are 😍
These products are worth every penny! I haven’t had much luck with face washes and toners but these are great! The last two toners I used, left my skin feeling sticky and I was told it was the toner causing that so I checked out Indie Lee! INDIE LEE - Purifying Face Wash I use this Am/Pm everyday and it makes my skin feel nice and doesn’t strip my skin which I love! I love the smell and the packaging is 😍! INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner The second step is this toner and again the smell is incredible! Some days I spray this directly on my face or I spray it on a cotton pad! The packaging is 😍 just like the face wash! These products are definitely worth the money! You can find these on their website and at your local Ulta!❤️

Drugstore Finds: Amazing $9 Eye Cream 👁✨
I found this gem in Walmart! It’s actually Walmart skincare line. It was $9! I can’t resist a great eye creams. Many find them useless, but I find that a greatly formulated one will give you results. earthtoskin - Tea Time Anti Aging Eye Cream I suffer from dark circles and fine lines. Mines are genetic. I tend to lean towards eye creams with caffeine and hyaluronic acid for that extra pick me up. So I was surprise with this product. This was marketed to: Reduce Puffiness Reduce Fine Lines Reduce Signs of Aging And did it deliver! I was amazed! (I will post a video of my eye creams soon) Ingredients: Chamomile Extract Gree Tea Extract Glycerin Squalane Jojoba Seed Oil Vitamin C Vitamin E Free of: Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Parabens My undereye looks amazing! It went on smooth and didn’t irritate my sensitive eye area. It doesn’t even have a strong smell! My eyes instantly cleared up! My fine lines were virtually nonexistent! This is definitely new day cream! I love a great dupe and cheaper product and this replaces a lot of high end ones I have. I will definitely use this under makeup and alone.

earth to skin eye cream review<3
BRAND Earth to Skin is Walmart's new cruelty-free skincare line, centered around clean, natural ingredients— and i’m here for it😌 PRODUCT This chamomile eye cream contains Vitamins C & E Glycerin, Jojoba seed oil, & aqualane. All very beneficial ingredients! Not to mention this product is very easy to apply! I also liked how the scent isn’t too overwhelming and strong+ how a little goes a long way. PRICE- is it worth it? This product retails for $8.94— yayay! honestly after using this eye cream for a couple of days i noticed my puffiness was gone. I’ve used a lot of eye creams ( some that were WAY over priced) & haven’t noticed these effects before! not to mention it doesn’t leave the under eyes oily. I recommend this product 10/10! very happy with this one.

Wednesday Wellness 🙏🏾
This past week has been rather hard and long for me. I ultimately decided to get back on track with my wellness plan. My main wellness goal for 2021, is to indulge in myself more. I definitely am a firm believe in “as within, so without”. I started my day with: #Four Sigmatic - Mushroom Elixir Mix with Chaga[products]#[FiveStars] I have been getting back into adaptogen and herbal medicine. What we put into our bodies is just as important as what goes on the outside. Adaptogens are apart of ancient medicinal traditions traced all over the world. I also drink Tulsi “Holy Basil” Tea. If you need a pick me up or emotional boost I highly recommend! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil is my treatment of choice I used during the day. Do not be afraid to use salicylic acid during the day. I applied plenty of sunscreen afterwards as well! This is a GODSEND for clearing up acne and acne scarring. It’s by far the best acne treatment I’ve tried and its mostly due to the immediate results I get. This is a dry oil, so it should be used before a heavy moisturizer or sunscreen. THE BODY SHOP - Spa of the World Thai Makrut Lime Firming Oil is a staple in my night time routine. When I want to relax and really unwind I use a body roller with this oil. It smells like a fresh key lime pie and it’s so hydrating. This is great for firming, especially when paired with a body tool. What do you do for wellness?

🛸🪐Acne products that are out of this world!
⁣Hi lovely! Be sure to follow my Instagram for more content! @skincare_by_reba 😍 🛸 Let’s talk 𝐀𝐜𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬! 🪐⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ What are these products? Here we have SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil& SUNDAY RILEY - Saturn Sulfur Spot Treatment Mask ⁣⁣ UFO oil is a “fast-acting, quick-drying, medicated oil that clears acne and blackhead-causing buildup and debris from congested pores for smoother, blemish-free skin.” Saturn is “a medicated spot treatment mask that clears up acne while preventing new blemishes from forming.”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Maskne has met its match with this combo 😍 UFO is a dry treatment oil, so it absorbs and dries beautifully. I typically use this in the morning as my first step after cleansing/essence. If my skin is feeling congested and I didn’t use UFO in the AM, I’ll use it followed by A+ at night and wake up to significantly improved skin! I incorporated this into my routine in September, and have found that the powerful ingredients have helped cure existing maskne and also keep future breakouts at bay.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Saturn used to be sold in a bigger tube as an all-over mask, but has been re-marketed as a spot treatment. Because the 10% sulfur can be drying, it’s recommended to wash it off after drying. I found using it as a spot treatment as my last evening step & leaving it on overnight is super effective without being too drying.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: After the sticker shock of A+, these may seem more reasonable! UFO oil is $40/.5oz and $80/1.18oz. My .5oz bottle has lasted me quite a while considering how frequently I used it when I first received it. I was using it on average 5 days/week, plus using up to an entire dropper full at a time for DIY masks - and it still has lasted nearly 4 months. I bought the 1.18oz bottle to use next, because it is reimbursable through my FSA!⁣⁣ Saturn is $20/.5oz tube and I feel it will last me forever. Both are sold in the All About Acne Kit which is an amazing deal!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘯𝘦?⁣⁣

Exfoliation basics
Exfoliation basics
Exfoliation is an essential step in your beauty routine to maintain that healthy glow, improve skin texture and tone, and prevent breakouts. Basically what it does is remove dead cells so they can be replaced by new ones. This process allows products to penetrate better and instantly restores luminosity by forcing cell renewal. A physical exfoliation is a product or tool that requires rubbing or scrubbing action. This includes brushes, sponges and skincare scrubs (it has small particles like salt grains, sugar, jojoba beads ...). This type of exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the top layer using physical friction. This type of exfoliation is preferred by many because you see an immediate result: smooth, radiant and healthy skin. Physical exfoliation causes less irritation than chemical exfoliation. It’s an excellent choice for oily skin and large pores as they tend to have thicker skin and are more tolerant of abrasive particles. My favorites: FOREO - LUNA play plus although many people are against these types of brushes, the truth is that I did see a major change when I started using it. I felt the skin softer and cleaner. Skin to You - Rated X-foliate Facial Scrub is one of my faves, doesn’t irritate and leaves skin clean and fresh. Chemical exfoliation work to break the bonds between skin cells, loosening dead skin cells so it can be easy removed. They generally have a smooth texture and penetrate deeper into the skin. The most common are Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) and fruit enzymes. AHAs Derived from substances such as grapes, citrus, milk and sugar cane, they dissolve keratin protein bonds that hold dead skin cells together. Once the bond is broken, the dead cells break off. The best known are glycolic and lactic acid. They are water soluble chemicals with low molecular structure, they act on the surface of the skin and help hydrate it, making them good for dry skin. Excellent for sun damage, hyperpigmentation, skin texture and wrinkles. It’s important to note that are photosensitive to the sun, so it is important to use a good sunscreen. BHAs They are lipid soluble, which makes them capable of penetrating deep into the pores, dissolving the accumulated dirt/oil. They are ideal for oily skin, acne prone and sun damaged skin. Salicylic acid has anti-irritant and antimicrobial properties that help prevent new breakouts. Enzymatic exfoliants are another type of chemical exfoliant and work best on sensitive skin. They are derived from fruits such as papaya (Papain) and pineapple 🍍 (Bromelain), which dissolve and digest keratin into small particles, leaving the skin smoother. They are a good option to start exfoliating since they work on the skin's surface and slowly digest cellular accumulation. My favorites: HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub gentle scrub that combines the 3 types of chemical exfoliators. It doesn’t irritate or damage the skin, it leaves the skin clean and radiant. CLINIQUE - Pep Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser in its indications it says that it can be used daily, its very soft and leaves the skin clean. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution This one is a little more abrasive, but you get good results from the first application. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask its more gentle than the previous one and it also gives good results from the first application. I have combination skin, acne prone and generally I use physical exfoliators 2-3 times a week and chemical every 15 days or when I feel I need something stronger. The main reasons for using exfoliation is to prevent acne and improve skin tone and texture. Tip The minimum you should exfoliate is once a week (dry skin) and maximum 3 times a week (oily skin). The exfoliation should always be gentle and never abrasive. If you have severe acne, see your dermatologist first. Don’t do it if you have wounds or cuts. If you are taking medications or using prescription products (retinol), exfoliation may cause dryness, sensitivity and acne breakouts.

neutrogena deep clean gentle scrub
neutrogena deep clean gentle scrub
key ingredients: citric acid - citric acid is effective for sloughing off dead skin cells and speeding new cell turnover. this ingredient can promote new skin growth that can alleviate the appearance of acne scars, minor wrinkles, uneven skin tone/texture, hyperpigmentation, and age spots. salicylic acid - salicylic acid is proven to be an effective skin care ingredient because of the way it penetrates into the skin and dissolves any debris inside your pores. it’s also naturally derived from willow bark which is known to heal and soothe. this acid can also help with any inflammation and redness of a blemish. what it claims to do: neutrogena’s deep clean gentle scrub claims to gently exfoliate the skin with microbeads. the beta hydroxy helps to clean deep into the pores for soft and smooth skin. neutrogena’s description of this product claims that, “Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub is the daily cleansing scrub with beta hydroxy proven to clean deep down into your pores, yet is gentle enough to use every day. Skin looks and feels soft and smooth after just one use.” my experience: this product was pretty effective for exfoliating and removing the dead skin cells off of my face since it is formulated with a beta hydroxy acid formula (bha - which is the salicylic acid). i used this scrub everyday for about 2 weeks straight until i noticed that it started leaving a tight feeling on my face after usage (although this is labeled as a “gentle scrub”). i found this to be a bit too harsh for everyday use on my skin, but that might just be because i have sensitive skin). instead of using this everyday, i limited my usage of this product to about 2-3 days every week. after using this algorithm, my skin felt smooth and soft after without the tight feeling that i was experiencing before. i also noticed that this helped remove and reduce the appearance of some of my blackheads. I’M ADDING THIS TO MY FAVORITE
I’M ADDING THIS TO MY FAVORITES/MUST-HAVES LIST! i n n i s f r e e 🍊 Tangerine Peel Extract Sleeping Mask: •This sleeping mask is formulated with tangerine peel extract and exfoliating capsules. It is meant to reduce dullness, uneven texture, dark spots, and the appearance of pores. T E X T U R E: •It’s a gel formula with little exfoliating capsules that melt right into the skin (it’s so gentle)! I really love how this gel feels on my skin, it’s not greasy or sticky at all. M Y O P I N I O N: •I love this sleeping mask so much. Even after the first use I saw a different in my skin’s appearance and texture! It didn’t irritate my skin (which most Vitamin C usually does for me) and I didn’t break out at all (also a big plus obviously). Also, a little goes a long way with this mask and it is made for all skin types!!! •I would definitely recommend giving this mask a try if you love sleeping masks! Or, if you’ve never used a sleeping mask before this is the perfect one to try first! P R I C E: $26 USD •I think the price of this mask is VERY FAIR! For the amount of product you get and the quality of the product, it honestly couldn’t get any better! Plus, the results are speaking for themselves... definitely worth it! R A T I N G: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ •Five out of five stars for sure!!! When I run out if this mask I will be repurchasing!

Pore Minimizing Toner - Boscia Resurfacing Toner
Pore Minimizing Toner - Boscia Resurfacing Toner
Pore Minimizing Toner - Boscia Resurfacing Treatment Tonerboscia - Resurfacing Treatment Toner The resurfacing treatment toner is a chemical exfoliant formulated with AHAs, BHAs & apple cider vinegar that work to slough away dead skin cells to reveal a baby smooth complexion. AHAs/BHAs are also known to minimize pores as they remove dead skin & dirt through chemical exfoliation. It is a watery consistency and I use a little bit on a cotton pad and apply to the face. This toner works wonders for my skin. After using many exfoliating toners, I can confidently say that this Boscia toner works effectively while also being gentle enough for everyday use. As someone who suffers from cystic acne and large pores around my nose, this toner has helped to clear up my skin, fade acne scars & minimize my pores without drying my skin out. I have been using it for months now and can confidently say its one of my favourite toners ever. I would recommend this toner to anyone suffering from large pores, acne, and hyperpigmentation. At $37, I definitely think this product is worth the price and I will for sure be repurchasing once its done! My Cherie rating - 5/5

Although this is fun, sometimes I have to step back and ask myself: · Do I really need this many products? · Could too many products be actually harming my skin instead of helping? · Could I achieve the same healthy skin with less product application and significantly less money spent? A few details about my type of skin include: · European heritage · Oily-skin that is dry with the wrong products · Acne-prone skin since I was fifteen/ subsequent scarring · Fighting anti-aging and fine lines, especially around my smile and forehead. (Curse my expressive face that cannot hide any emotions!) So I asked myself – Can I get this down to three products? And voila! I selected my favorite three that I could NOT live without. When I do not feel like bringing out the entire skincare brigade – I opt for these main trusted three: 1. Herbivore’s Blue Tansy Resurfacing Mask – A bit about this product includes: a. Great for a once-per-week mask b. Sometimes I use it twice per week if I’m suffering from bad acne c. The ingredients clarify using aloe (soothing) blue tansy (redness calmer), white willow bark (anti-inflammatory), all combining for a resurfacing-effect that fights bacteria. d. Contains BHAs and Salicin (an anti-microbial that kills bacteria) e. The scent is fruity and smells like herbs/aloe f. Blue tansy has a mildly-medicinal fragrance g. The texture is thick, almost like maple syrup h. A little goes a long way! i. One bottle can last me about 6-months if I use it properly j. Price: $48.00 k.Ratings: 4.5-stars out of 200+ reviews   2. Terre Mere’s Aloe and Tea Tree Toner – A bit about this product includes: a. I only recently discovered this in my Fab Fit Fun box, a subscription service that sends new beauty products to your door once per season. b. On days that I do not mask with the Blue Tansy – I only use this toner and the oil listed in #3. (If only using these bottom two products, I would use the toner first, and then follow-up with the oil on step #3, for an even more simplified routine). You should also cleanse/wash your face between toning and moisturizing, but we’re going for basics here! c. I tend to lean towards products with aloe, very calming for my skin’s redness d. The tea tree oil offers an anti-fungal property to fight harmful bacteria that clog pores e. Infused with a sulfur compound that they claim offers a collagen-boosting effect f. Vegan g. Willow bark (now that I’m researching, quite similar to the blue tansy mask indeed!) There is a reason these ingredients are used for fighting acne – they work! h. Fragrance-free - important unless the fragrances are naturally-occurring. You don’t want to clog your skin with dyes and perfumes. i. Price: $54.00 j. Ratings: None available   3. Herbivore’s Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil – A bit about this product includes: a. I love the brand Herbivore Botanicals! It is one of my all-time favorites. Not only do I trust them for clean, vegan, and highly-moisturizing products, but they also fight my breakouts like no other topical treatment ever has. b. The prices are slightly high – however, the formulas are so concentrated. I have been able to make a bottle of this last for 6-months. That is less than $8 per month. So there is no need to see your skincare as a major luxury! c. Fights redness and dullness d. Absorbs quickly e. Great for any skin type– even oily skin. That is what it’s for! If you have oily skin, stripping it of natural oils will only reinforce oil production, resulting in more breakouts. Do not fight your skin’s natural proclivity to produce oil! Okay, queens!? f. Even if you have dry or combination skin, this product will leave you feeling exceptionally moisturized without a greasy effect. g. Utilizes a blend of cannabis oil, hemp seed oil, omegas, and adaptogens h. $1 for each bottle sold is donated to help legalize cannabis for therapeutic-use and medicinal research i. The color is as the name suggests – emerald to light green j. I use about 2-3 drops per morning and night k. I gently massage it into the places that become the most inflamed (around mouth mostly) l.  Price: $48.00 m.   Rating: 4.5-stars out of 100+ reviews I have a few other favorites, but honestly, nothing compares to these OG three! These main three products are heavily responsible for my skin having: · Reduced redness · Less inflammation and acne · A smoother texture · A brightened glow See the before and after pictures for proof of my glow-up!

If you need a fast train to ex
If you need a fast train to exfoliation, I think you gotta love deciem The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. ⁣ ⁣ This face mask has long been a love affair of mine. I purchased it few months ago because I felt like my skin was really congested and it needed some serious sloughing and I haven't looked back since.⁣ ⁣ The blend of 30% AHA and 2% BHA is the punchiest formula that I own. It's not for the faint hearted and if I'm honest my sensitive skin can just about handle it. It blends together glycolic, salicylic, lactic, tartaric and citric acids which will brighten, unclog pores, soften and smooth the skin. Plus, it contains hyaluronic acid for comfort, Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) to assist healing, Black Carrot for some antioxidant boost, and Tasmanian pepperberry to reduce as much irritation as possible while also giving the red color to the liquid. ⁣ ⁣ Once a week, I apply it after cleansing onto dry skin about two to three pumps with the dropper. The texture itself feels like a sticky but thin gel. It's easy to apply with my fingers as the liquid won't run down quickly on my face. It also doesn't stain my hands or my face. I left it on about only 5-10 minutes before rinsing gently with warm water. Then, I would recommend following it with a simple and soothing routine. Personally, I finish my skincare routine with a sheet mask to bring back hydration and moisture into my skin.⁣ ⁣ It's definitely intense and tingled, but not painfully. Although when my skin is more sensitive, it was quite unbearable the first few seconds it touches the skin. I only ever use it in the evening so I have the whole night for any redness to go down. And be careful if you have small wounds or lesions on your face, because it burns even more.⁣ ⁣ When I take it off, the layer that's left is so darn smooth. So it's worth it! It's brilliant if I've been slacking on the exfoliation and I'm feeling like I need to knock off a layer of dead skin cells. It helps to loosen up blackheads and reduces the appearance of small bumps/whiteheads just after few uses. ⁣
