My Adult Skincare
Hello all! I’m fairly new to the Cherie community and I’m loving all the tips and skincare products used to help others. At the beginning of this year closer to spring (March), my skin really broke out from the stress of facing a pandemic as an adult and my skin broke out immensely. So much so that I didn’t want to take photos of myself because my image is very important to me and I have grown up with acne since middle school where I didn’t like looking in the mirror that often. Recently my skin type has changed to dry/combo, I’d say that my T-zone, cheeks, and chin are slightly oily compared to when I was in high school. I’ve recently been following a few aestheticians to find my right skincare routine and I feel like I’m gradually getting there. I’ve stuck to this regimen since the end of summer 2019 and my face has changed, but after March, it drastically declined. I have seen positive results with the products I have been using for the last 3 months. I have very noticeable hyperpigmentation, discoloration, and dull skin. I have noticed some pilling that occurs with the alpha arbutin and niacinamide so I’m trying to figure out what products have silicone in it and to keep that out of my skincare in order for them to work together. I wish I did have a before photo, but this month has been good to my skin and I hope to continue sharing and learning with you all. ❤️ Morning Routine CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator TRULY - CBD Jelly Toning Solution *Recently purchased * The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA KOPARI - Coconut Water Moisture Face Cream *Recently purchased * CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 Nighttime Routine BURT’S BEES - Cleansing Oil with Coconut & Argan Oils LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin *Recently purchased* HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% DERMA•E - Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Moisturizer ACURE - Brightening Night Cream The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Weekly Routine I DEW CARE - Cake My Day Hydrating Sprinkle Wash-Off Mask The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
“You are what you eat”
How many of you have heard “you are what you eat”? I know when I was younger I literally thought I’d turn into a fruit or veggie, but now older I realize it has more truth in it than I thought. If you struggle from acne (that’s not hormonal or other serious causes). I implore you to take a look at your diet. Do you eat a lot of sugary foods, drink a lot of sodas, do you love dairy? These things have all been known to help acne appear on your face. Probiotics help: -Mood -fatigue -headaches -yeast infections -digestion issues -even studies for eczema I’ve tried many different kinds of probiotics but this one has been the most effective. I take one a day without food (you can take it with food if it suits you). I always have energy and my skin has been clearer. You can find these at Walmart but I ordered mines from amazon for $27 & you get a month supply. Tips: -Drink plenty of water -Try to take the same time of the day -It takes time to see results (as with anything you do with your body)
I need help🥺
I have fungal acne and some but not major acne marks on my cheeks and chin mainly. I need help clearing my skin because I don’t know what to use and I can’t go to a doctor since everything is still not opened. Btw I have combo skin, my cheek and chin area are dry and my forehead and t zone are a little more oily. And recommendations will be valid☺️
This is the first time Ive had a acne breakouts I get pimple breakouts but never had acne I’ve realized it’s very hard to make it go away. Im not sure if it’s hormonal acne or just regular acne or I’m breaking out because of these stupid mask we have to wear . I’ve been very stressed with 2 jobs and not getting enough sleep I’ve even thought about quitting my jobs because I’m so insecure with my face and don’t even wanna look at customers, and when I take videos and pictures for instagram or Snapchat I always have to use a filter. I’m going to a party on Saturday I really want it to go away by then I’m seeing my old friends from school excited and nervous because of my face I’m thinking in my head what if they think I’m a catfish because on social media I have “clear skin” because of the filters then in real life my skin looks like this. I’m going to buy more skincare products for my skin any recommendations? Motivation and advice would help
Acne and Skin in general
I think that especially with my page, posting about clearing my skin, skin struggles, taking pills, and countless products, it is so important to remember what I am getting out of all this. CONFIDENCE! Some of us are on this app just to learn more about how to keep our skin young and healthy! Which is pretty much all of us. But most also struggle with countless skin insecurities that we want recommendations and solutions for. I know that in the back of my head when I think of acne I think that I need it to be gone in order to be happy or have confidence in my skin. Which is absolutely incorrect. Having a nice skincare routine and wanting the best for your skin is absolutely the goal. But please please please do not forget that you are beautiful, insecurities don't define you, and you don't need clear, unattainable skin to have confidence. If this idea that perfect skin is possible and something that you should have, then you aren't surrounding yourself with the correct people or accounts of social media. Photoshop and filters exist, so don't trust the internet or aim goals based on the internet. You are beautiful and loved. Your insecurities don't define you whatsoever, so please get in the mindset that any type of skin you have, is completely perfect and beautiful.
Hi I’m Lara 13 years old and have been struggling with fungal acne, blackheads and oily skin for a long time now. I have tried so many products and nothing seems to be working for me, sad I know. Can someone please suggest some product or tips for me to try and get rid of this disgusting look as I’m constantly braking out and really need help.
Help!!!!! Acne or allergic reaction ??
Hi guys, I came about this app due to me searching for products and tips on how to treat this rash/acne on my face. I want to be helpful and maybe help someone going through the same thing, as I am still currently recovering from this!!! I am really hoping I don’t gross some people :/ about two months ago, I had to wear those n-95 masks at my work, due to Covid, and I believe it’s what gave me this allergic reaction! I hope you’re able to see but my skin was covered in these small bumps, or like I described them at that time, like tiny small blisters! They were so painful! On the other hand, I suffer from acne already, so I decided to go see a Profesional and he prescribed Retin-A and another medication that I can’t recall the name! I no longer have this going on but I was left with so many red dots and healing scars and bumpy skin. I know skincare takes a long time to work but If you guys have any recommendations of what products I should use and also avoid, feel free to comment!! I would really appreciate it!! I have since boughten a lot of skincare, yet I haven’t tried All since I’m testing little by little and getting to know my skin and the products I’m putting on my skin! Thank you 🥰🥰
