Why I stopped ❌ using this !

Okay so I fell into the hype of this product like everyone else and went on limb and bought it. I loved it in the beginning & used it about a week before I felt my skin was reacting to it horribly. So I did my research. A lot of my products have fragrance in them, so I knew that couldn’t be the issue. So I looked further into this and found something I think was culprit of my irritated skin! ⭐️This product has CL 4209 (FD&C Blue No. 1 or D&C Blue No. 4) (which shows up as Blue 1 in the ingredient list) This ingredient has been researched and classified as a irritant, endocrine disrupter (hormones in the body that regulate you body), & a organ toxicity ingredient. This was enough for me to put it down & I wish I would’ve researched it before I bought it. I have other posts where I tote using it in the beginning and I would like to say do your research before buying products! Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer
While it did give me great moisture (probably due to the hyaluronic acid) I will never bring this anywhere close to my face again👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

SolefulSkinUgh, I disliked this product so much. It never gave me that moisture I felt I need, it would be dry after 10 minutes and I’d have to reapply. Not a good product in my books. I love your posts though, followed you 🥰

Update with the Process...
I'm going to be totally honest😔 I know it has only been a month with Apostrophe (and other recommended products by their derm) but so far I am not liking the outcomes. The first week I started off by putting the prescription on 3 nights a week. My face definitely got irritated the first night which led to my decision on limiting the usage. I started to use the prescription everyday by the 3rd week. Since then I have not felt like I've had any improvements on my acne. I am not giving up just yet, but I do hope to see some improvement at least by March. 🤞 🌼Apostrophe - Topical Formula 🌼CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion 🌼CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin 🌼CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 🌼Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer

Happy & Hydrated
Hi Skin Beauties, So this is me today with zero makeup on with the natural outside lighting! I was struggling with hyperpigmentation for the last year so I wanted to share this picture to let you know it is possible to diminish the intensity of the dark spots with consistency and the right products! Facials as well as additional treatments always accelerate the process but products are important. Products make progress ! I still have a slight discoloration to my skin but patience is key with this type of skin issue so you have to trust the process. My two favorite products i use that help make my skin even toned are skinceuticals CE Ferulic Acid and skinceuticals Retinol 1.0(I use this product sparingly once every week or once every two weeks it is so strong yet so effective). The only product I have on my face in this picture is the hydroboost gel moisturizer by neutrogena. I am really not a fan of gel moisturizers but this one effectively penetrates the skin barrier leaving my skin feeling hydrated and soft, it fully absorbs into the skin leaving no residue behind. I also like this product due to its lack of fragrance and oil. I wear SPF 50 everyday by skinceuticals as well. I enjoy the slight tint it brings to my skin. Remember don’t give up on your skin goals and stay consistent!! 🦋🦋

Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream The BEST face cream, hands down! And probably my favourite moisturizer compared to any other drugstore or high-end brands :) I’m guilty of trying new face creams but always coming back to this one. I’ve posted about this product before but it’s too good to not post about again. This moisturizer is labelled for “extra dry skin” and while I don’t have extra dry skin, I still can’t get enough of it. I use this all year round and have purchased so many. I can’t even imagine how much money I’ve spent on buying replacements haha. Why I love this: 💧 It’s fragrance free (the non extra dry one has a scent to it that I cannot handle, so this is perfect) 💧It absorbs beautifully into my skin and doesn’t make me feel greasy 💧In the winter when I get dry patches, this works wonders by hydrating those areas and getting rid of the dry skin 💧It’s non-comedogenic — no clogged pores with this cream! 💧It’s so light-weight. I love gel creams! 💧It contains hyaluronic acid — moisturizing you’re skin by holding up to 1000x its weight in water 💧It’s oil-free & dye-free If you’re one of the few people out there who hasn’t tried this, I suggest doing so :) It retails for $23.99 CAD.

I love these moisturizers! I’ve been in search for a good night time/Day time gel moisturizer that packs a punch hydration and in these I have found solace! None of these are highly scented so great for sensitive skin! Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer 💧 This Water Gel Moisturizer has really helped regain moisture in my skin through the night. I typically don’t have dry skin but I started noticing a few months back that my skin always felt tight and thirsty in the morning like I have been walking through the desert. I needed something light and ultra hydrating and this has done the trick! The consistency is great and feels nice and cool when applying. Bonus it also has Hyaluronic acid in it which is great because I typically don’t use my normal Hyaluronic serum at night but this gives me that added boost of water that’s needed at night! TRADER JOE'S - Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extracts 💦 I heard about this gel moisturizer from a friend and she loved it so I sprinted to my local Trader Joe’s to find it and boy oh boy I’m in love. I typically use a clean and clear moisturizer mixed with some Hyaluronic acid for my day time routine and I love it but I noticed my face needed some added soothing because I live in Florida and the humidity and heat can really irritate my skin and cause me to break out in little heat bumps and kinda sting a bit. So when I saw that this moisturizer had Aloe and Green Tea in it I had to try it because Aloe is super soothing and green tea gives your skin a nice little caffeine boost and wakes your skin up. And I love it! I use it over my original moisturizer and it has really helped with the irritation part of my skin and has almost completely subsided the stinging and heat bumps even when it’s crazy hot. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and very hydrated. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the consistency can seem a bit heavy but when used sparingly it balances out! If you have any tips and tricks to help reduce heat induced break outs I would love to hear it! Thanks Guys❤️

If I live in a dry climate all year round, I think I will get crazy. My dry skin won’t stay for a moment. Most of time my face skin type is combination dry skin, but my body skin type is always quite dry. So products with moisturizing ingredients are always my first choice. Glycerin and hyaluronic acid are two classic moisturizing ingredients I focus on. The component content of these two directly determines the degree of moisturization of this product. Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel is one product has made a noticeable difference on my dry skin. This product actually has three textures, gel, lotion and jelly. Gel is for combination oily to oily skin, so many people will doubt why I use gel not lotion. The reason is this product I use only for the triangle area where I get oil not all. According to official description, gel is oil free.Note that this oil-free means that there is no vegetable oil or mineral oil, it does not mean there is no synthetic ester. I did a research on its ingredients list. A total of 31 ingredients. The formula is added with dimethylsilicone oil, which has strong ductility. So it will increase the smoothness of the application. In addition, with the large content of glycerin and hyaluronic acid, Clinique is smooth enough when used on your skin. What's more, I'm also acne skin. One of the key reasons for acne skin is oil imbalance. If you don't do a good job in skin moisturizing, you can easily get acne. Therefore, it is not only oily skin that will grow acne, but dry skin will also rise! Moisturizing is always the most basic step for skin care. And Glycerin and Propylene glycol are two key moisturizing ingredients. I recommend people who under 25 to use this product. Over 25 years old, only moisturizing cannot satisfy your skin’s needs. And this product only can help you skin in a hydrated condition, no other effect. CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel

Which one is better?

Today I will be review these two water base moisturizer Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly The Neutrogena hydro boost come in a jar and it is 1.7 oz and it is an oil free moisturizer, won’t clog your pore, and alcohol free. I really love how the texture feel is not greasy like most moisturizer and it is very light weight and very easy to melt into your face it also had a cooling effect. This moisturizer ( Neutrogena) is very moisturizing, last long, and hydrate the skin very well leaving no flaky skin or dry spot. The price of this moisturizer is $16-17 at Walmart or target and I would recommend this to anyone who have extra dry skin, dehydrated and sensitive skin because hey it is a moisturizer without alcohol :) The other product is the Clinique Hydrating Jelly 1.7 oz and the reason why I give it a four because I don’t like the texture of it, very thick for a water base jelly and feel like I’m putting a sail slime on my face. However, it does leave my face very moisturize and hydrating it is not a bad water base moisturizer I got a mini size and they about $15 at Sephora The product is Oil Free Free of Denatured Alcohol Free of Synthetic Colours SLS Free SLES Free Sulfate Free so it is amazing for those who are like very very sensitive like to chemical SLS which is a sulfate that dry skin need to be aware of. So yes I would buy the neutrogena that for me! :) and is just work better on my face. But I give the clique one a try again cause it is the same price as neutrogena and the ingredients are better for skin.

My go-to drugstore gel-cream
My go-to drugstore gel-cream
Can you tell from my picture of empties that I’m slightly obsessed with this moisturizer? I always have a back up of this in my cupboard and I have a big fear of running out. Why gel-cream? I’ve mentioned before in another post, but I definitely prefer a gel-cream for my combo (sometimes oily), acne prone skin! It’s light, gentle and doesn’t make your skin feel greasy. And this does a great job of locking in the moisture but not leaving my skin so greasy that it could possibly produce more oil. I use this morning and night and it works perfectly with my skin type. I love trying other gel-creams like the belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb but I tend to always come back to the Neutrogena version because it’s affordable and dependable. And honestly, I love to spend money on skincare, but I also feel guilty when I am spreading a more expensive moisturizer all over my face, neck and chest. The key is I always buy the fragrance-free version. Even though I don’t have very dry skin, I honestly feel like my skin prefers the version without the fragrance and it’s still light and gel-like in texture. The good: + The price! Now it’s not the cheapest drugstore moisturizer, but compared to a gel-cream from belif it’s definitely more affordable. + The texture is light and gel-like and glides so easily across the skin. + Oil-free and fragrance-free! + It’s non-comedogenic and won’t clog my pores. + Absorbs nicely into the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. + Has a couple nice, hydrating ingredients (hyaluronic acid and olive extracts). The not so good: - I really wish this came in a bigger jar because I don’t love all the waste that I’m producing by buying all these new containers of moisturizer. And I go through these pretty quickly now.. like almost one every 1.5 months. - Although the brand always emphasizes how this product has hyaluronic acid, it’s actually pretty far down the ingredient list. So it does make we question just how much is in the formula. Not a big deal for me, but if you do have really dry skin, you might need something a little more heavy duty than this product. Worth it? For around $20, I definitely think this is worth it. Especially when compared to other high-end options. Will I repurchase? I have probably.... 7 times now! And plan to again :) 💕

{empty} CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ I have a soft spot for this moisturizer because I started my skincare journey with Clinique. My skin started getting dry in my teens (I have combination sensitive skin), and I turned to my mom for help, who recommended Clinique. This was perfect for my teen self: affordable, great value and gets the job done! It has a very light texture (hence the “lotion” in the name) and is perfect for combination skin! The only problem is it’s a little bit stinky - totally bearable, but it’s not ideal. I would HIGHLY recommend this product, and have gotten a lot of my friends into it 🥰
