Clear Hydrated Skin The Clean Way✨
Staying in the trend of clean beauty, I have found an amazing product to add to my everyday routine. Odacité SKINCARE - Blue Aura Cleansing Water This is a cleansing water that is marketed to use in place of your cleanser fit a “quick” clean. When looking for a good cleansing water, you want one that is hydrating and gets yum our face clean. Keep in mind not all cleansing waters are designed to clean makeup (I highly recommend a cleansing balm and cleanser). About This Brand: ✨Vegan ✨Cruelty Free ✨Certified Organic ✨ NO: Fillers | Parabens | Nanoparticles | Petrochemicals | PEG | Synthetic perfumes | Dyes | Phenoxyethanol. This cleansing water is so hydrating and satisfying to use. It smells very fresh and a little goes a long way. What is very important to me is my dry spot aren’t tight or irritated. I have been using this day and night and have seen amazing results acne skin barrier wise. I included this in my routine after a regular cleanser and before my serums. So essentially, I use this as a “toner”. I do this to clean up anything my cleanse left behind, or the cleanser itself. INGREDIENTS: ✨Tumeric: Amazing for hyperpigmentation and overall skin brightness ✨Holy Basil: I drink the tea and can vouch this is an amazing adaptogen that can overall benefit every aspect of your life. It combats aging and free radical damage. ✨Neem: great anti aging ingredient that helps protects your skin barrier. ✨Aloe Vera Juice: this is great for your skin barrier overall. It hydrated, protects and brightens. I highly recommend this cleansing water and it is on sale for $9 at Boxycharm Pop Up 🥰🥰

Wednesday Wellness 🙏🏾
This past week has been rather hard and long for me. I ultimately decided to get back on track with my wellness plan. My main wellness goal for 2021, is to indulge in myself more. I definitely am a firm believe in “as within, so without”. I started my day with: #Four Sigmatic - Mushroom Elixir Mix with Chaga[products]#[FiveStars] I have been getting back into adaptogen and herbal medicine. What we put into our bodies is just as important as what goes on the outside. Adaptogens are apart of ancient medicinal traditions traced all over the world. I also drink Tulsi “Holy Basil” Tea. If you need a pick me up or emotional boost I highly recommend! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil is my treatment of choice I used during the day. Do not be afraid to use salicylic acid during the day. I applied plenty of sunscreen afterwards as well! This is a GODSEND for clearing up acne and acne scarring. It’s by far the best acne treatment I’ve tried and its mostly due to the immediate results I get. This is a dry oil, so it should be used before a heavy moisturizer or sunscreen. THE BODY SHOP - Spa of the World Thai Makrut Lime Firming Oil is a staple in my night time routine. When I want to relax and really unwind I use a body roller with this oil. It smells like a fresh key lime pie and it’s so hydrating. This is great for firming, especially when paired with a body tool. What do you do for wellness?

Clear skin the gentle way?
Thank you @cheriefor this amazing gift 🤩 “buh-koo-chee-all” HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum I’ve already become a diehard Herbivore lover. So to receive this beauty was super exciting. When I started my acne journey on Cherie I was (and still am) a Differin Acne Gel stan. This was my choice of retinol and I wanted it strong to treat acne and boost my cellular turnover. Now that my acne is currently under control and it’s getting hot again, I definitely want something smooth and gentle. Bakuchiol is a gentler alternative to the very popular ingredient retinol. So essentially you’ll get overall youthful results for your skin. I haven’t tested this on my acne theory yet, but overall my face has been smooth and irritation free. This serum does not have a smell which I love for products of this caliber. I also love that it’s light and not drying at all. I use this at night and since i have a tolerance to retinol I use it every night. I haven’t been using it long enough to see results (about 12 weeks) but I definitely can’t wait to finish this. Have you tried Bakuchiol?

Stay Young Forever? ✨
That’d be great right? Well in taking those steps, I definitely recommend these amazing serums. I was gifted the: Intoxicated Cosmetics: Snake Serum Bee Serum Snail Serum I started using the Snail Serum last night first and wow did I notice a difference. The Snail Serum mainly targets dryness. I used this in place of my usual night time serum and boy did I notice a difference. I N G R E D I E N T S : All Serums contain: ✨Niacinamide Bee Serum: Bee Venom Plant Based Stem Cells Royal Epigen Snake Serum Snake Venom Green & White Tea Extract Peptides Snail Serum Snail Peptide Hyadisine Echinacea Moronga Oil Extract I definitely will try the other serums in my routine as I get used to the Snail Serum but so far my skin is definitely happy. What serum would you like to try?
A Journey of Self 🌹
I figured Black History Month was as good as any opportunity to talk about my self finding. Growing up in a small yet old family, I always had questions about my roots and family history. I also struggled with self conscious doubts about my appearance. Why is my nose this big? Why is my hair this curly? Why am I taller than average? These weighed heavy on my mind growing up because honestly, sticking out sucked. So, I finally dove deep into my family’s origin and decided to do an Ancestry DNA analysis. I immersed myself with every corner of the site. I only got the chance to finish my maternal grandmas side of the family tree, but even that has plenty of gaps. Yet, when I received my DNA results I was stoked. Then I realized, I don’t know much about any of these places. So I dug even deeper. I have a little journal of things I’ve learned and want to know, but this was quite the experience. It was heartbreaking and satisfying at the same time. I highly recommend for every race and background to do this DNA Test. The best part of this was scrolling through photos of the people of the respected countries I was DNA matched to. I swear I saw a girl who looked like me, but everyone else thinks I’m tripping lol. In the end, I’m satisfied with my results and findings. Relatively speaking, this way of self discovery has been the most effective.
At Home Exfoliating Facial ✨✨
So I recently received the Mimi Co Exfoliating Wand via IG PR. I couldn’t wait to do a full facial and I decided to do it tonight. Order: I purchased a steamer from Amazon for $23 and I’m obsessed with it (DM me for product info). I started with UpCircle - Cleansing Face Balm With Apricot Powder As my oil cleanse to get my sunscreen from today off and any other oils and dirts. INDIE LEE - Purifying Face Wash This cleanser is perfect for getting dirts and oils from skin as well. It’s not drying and it’s totally worth it! I paired it with a face cleansing scrub brush, I also purchased from Amazon. I love it and I paid around $20 for it as well! It doubles the vibration frequency put out by Foreo. CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask This was the mask I chose for the enzyme properties. This breaks down dirts and oils in pores and dead skin cells. I also steamed my face during this time. Follain - Toning Mist: Balance + Prime This was what I sprayed over my face for the prep for my exfoliating wand. I didn’t have a true medium and I am out of Aloe Vera plants so😭 I then exfoliated with my wand starting at my cheeks and working upward and then to my forehead. I went down and to the sides of my nose. Glow slow! innisfree - Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion I used the toner to cleanse my skin and get any dirts left over from me exfoliating. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask I use this as my hydrating mask. I took the back of my Mimi Co Wand on switched to the Moisturizing Setting. I gently slid upwards my entire face for the last 2 mins only and then wiped the mask off with a damp cloth. earthtoskin - Tea Time Anti Aging Eye Cream This is the most hydrating eye cream I own. I used this with the back of my cleansing brush on the heat setting! Yes it made my eye feel so hydrated and relaxed. fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer This was the final step as a good moisturizer seals in everything! To prevent acne I use the SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil as my last step. I didn’t use an astringent type toner, so I wanted to still treat my skin💚

How to get your man all over you!
I finally finished this jar, and I have to say- I really liked it! The smell is amazing, like sweet tarts! I can attest, for myself- It’s worth every penny, and it will be a staple in my bathing routine. Now, on to the claims that it firms and tightens AND lifts! I have to say, it actually really works! There was a definite difference in how firm they were. I was actually shocked that I could tell/see the difference for up to about 3 days. I did exfoliate before hand, and use a scrubs brush(😂 ouch!) but it was a noticeable difference! Try it! Your husband will love it! TRULY - Acai Your Boobies Lifting Boob Polish Firm & Tighten

Wellness Wednesday: DIY Body Wash
Happy Wellness Wednesday everybody! Tonight, I bring to you a DIY recipe found on Pinterest from mommypottamus.com. It's a Homemade Body Wash Recipe. INGREDIENTS: 1/3 Cup liquid Castile soap (my Castile soap is lavender scent, you can purchase it unscented or peppermint; if you purchase unscented you can add essential oils to give it a special scent that appeals to you) 1/3 Cup honey, preferably raw (I used raw honey) 1/3 Cup carrier oil such as olive, jojoba, refined avacado, fractionated coconut oil, or sweet almond oil (I used sweet almond oil). 30-60 drops essential oil, optional (I added about 15 extra drops of lavender oil). *Don't forget the wash also has the honey scent as well! The author recommended the having a blender or a mixing bowl for the recipe. I skipped that step all together and opted for a 7.48 oz. squeeze top bottle from Hobby Lobby's soap section and dumped all of my ingredients in there and then shook the bottle up to thoroughly mix them together. INSTRUCTIONS: 1- Add all ingredients to a bowl (or your squeeze bottle if you want to save a step) and mix until thoroughly combined. Or place in a blender and blend thoroughly (*this just seems like you would be dirtying up your blender for no good reason to me). 2- Pour into a squeeze top or pump top soap dispenser. TO USE: 1- Shake well before using. This recipe will separate after a while but all you need to do is shake a few times. 2- Add body wash to a soft natural sponge, loofah sponge, or washcloth and use like you would any body wash. NOTES: Shelf life- up to one year. COST: Honey- $4 Sweet Almond Oil- $14 Castile Soap- $16 Lavender Essential Oil- $5 Total- $39 *Remember, most of these ingredients are things I generally have at my home already. The only ingredient I bought specifically for this recipe was the Sweet Almond Oil which I will make sure to use for other Wellness Wednesday recipes in the future. My experience...I used the body wash this morning when I showered. The smell was pleasant, I could really smell the lavender scent with the undertones of sweet honey. The body wash was NOT sticky which I guess sort of surprised me because honey by itself is incredibly sticky but mixed with the sweet almond oil and Castile soap it was very soft and smooth. The body wash lathered up nicely. My skin looked moisturized and felt soft when I patted my skin dry after stepping out of the shower. Overall I'd give this Homemade Body Wash ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am totally happy with my Wellness Wednesday experience this week and would encourage anyone to invest their te in making the recipe if they have the ingredients handy. I hope you get a chance to do something for you this week! Take a little time out to pamper yourself and treat yourself for a job well done on being perfectly imperfect! Stay well and happy, Christy

Deep conditioners for low porosity hair
Taking care of low porosity hair can be a real struggle. Low porosity hair is hair that tends to block moisture from entering the strand, which leaves it more prone to breakage, brittleness, and dryness. If you’re not sure if you have low porosity hair, then consider how long it takes your hair to be completely saturated with water when you’re washing it. If your hair is immediately saturated, then it is high porosity. On the other hand, if it takes a little while for your hair to soak up the water completely, you may have low porosity hair.
🪞🤷🏻♀️Not very effective for me🤷🏻♀️🪞
I’d been waiting a while to drop this review... Though I used to get pimples all the time up until early 2020, when obviously being in quarantine made me focus less on makeup & more on skincare again. 🍒😀I was so honored to win this prize from@cheriefor “best post” a few months ago! Thank you to everyone for cheering & engaging with my content! I love you guys! It was my first ever prize on Cherie, & I’m beyond excited to review my 2nd prize (see the post with baby deer 🦌🎀) But for this one, I don’t wanna sound like a bitch, but when I got it, I was having the clearest skin I’ve had in the last like 15+ years, & had to wait til I had something to clear up to even be able to give y’all a real review! I haven’t been completely pimple-free up until today, that would have been awesome, but during a phone repair in December I lost all my photos 😭 🪞I had more detailed ‘before & afters’ showing progression day by day using this treatment, but the moral of my story is; it wasn’t effective for me. That doesn’t mean it might not work for you though?! I’m not an acne expert, but acne is caused by several different issues, & we can be suffering from 1 or multiple types at once. My pimples recently seem like a single pore that had bacteria in it, nothing all over. Like I said, I’m no acne expert, but the Cherie community is full of them! The creators that know about different types of acne are such an amazing resource! Start browsing acne topics to find your acne care guardian angel!😇 REN CLEAN SKINCARE - ClearCalm Non-Drying Acne Treatment Gel Though I didn’t find the formula irritating to my skin at all, unless the skin was broken a bit (⚠️so, attention pickers, me included) the formula is quite runny & difficult to work with as a spot treatment. The product directs you to cover entire affected area with a thin layer, but I’m not sure how skin in between pimples will respond to coverage over a large blemished area like cheeks or forehead. I only attempted to use this product as a spot treatment. It dispenses from a typical tube nozzle, but the opening is still a bit larger imo for how liquidy the formula is. Almost every time I opened it, it would just start oozing out & making a mess. So, unfortunately a lot of clean up & wasted product. Also very drippy due to the consistency... & because of sanitary reasons, you don’t want to use the tube to apply directly to the face (not that that technique would be any less messy lol) my go to was to put some of the product on a q-tip, then apply that to my pimple. Smells kinda woodsy, probably the Sandalwood oil. The scent didn’t bother me, but the look isn’t super cute. I know pimple cream does not have to be cute, if it’s effective, I don’t care how stupid it looks in the privacy of my home... But looks like a bloody scab or pasta sauce once dry🍝 The acne fighter is 0.5% Salicylic acid. The 2nd ingredient is denatured alcohol🙃 Swipe for full ingredients + pics of pimples-lol
REN CLEAN SKINCARE-ClearCalm Non-Drying Acne Treatment Gel
I’ve been testing out One Thing for the past 2 weeks and I’m so excited to share my thoughts on their products! *PR sent by bazzaal Houttuynia Cordata Extract Houttuynia Cordata extract is known to be very soothing to the skin. It’s also antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory so its great to help calm acne and irritation. I’m currently using this product as an essence and I find that it absorbs really fast! This product is so gentle and my skin feels very calm after using it. I think all skin types can benefit from this product and its definitely worth adding into your routine to improve skin health and help fight that maskne! Centella Asiatica Extract I haven’t opened this one yet but I’m sure ill enjoy it since centella is one of my favourite ingredients. This product supposed to calm the skin and help with pigmentation. Centella is also known to strengthen the skin barrier, help soothe acne prone skin and prevent scarring. Can’t wait to open this one up 😍 Moisture Plus Cream Instead of containing water, this product has betula alba juice and green tea leaf water to hydrate the skin and increase the soothing effect of the moisturizer. Once again, I think a lot of skin types would like this since it has a thicker water cream type of texture. It also doesn’t leave a greasy finish but it makes my skin feels so moisturized and plump. Jojoba Golden Organic Oil Jojoba oil is known to nourish and soften the skin. It’s also similar to our skins sebum so it helps regulate sebum production and deeply moisturize the skin. If you have dry skin this oil is great to pair with the moisturizer, it’s my favourite duo at the moment. It adds the most beautiful glow to my skin and it really moisturizes without feeling overly sticky and greasy. Lip Balm Containing petrolatum, jojoba seed oil, organ oil and olive oil this lip balm is really moisturizing and adds a slight shine to my lips. Great to carry around and reapply throughout the day! Overall I’m enjoying eveything from One thing. I love how simple and gentle their products are and so far they are definitely working for my skin. I also love their minimal packaging, so pretty 😍 Would you try any of these?
