Eye Cream Is NOT A Hoax!
There is no hoax about eye cream. I’ve been seeing a lot of misinformation about how eye cream isn’t needed or it is just overpriced moisturizer. Sadly this is the spread of uneducated opinions not backed by the proper background in cosmetic chemistry. One of my goals as a Licensed Esthetician? Skin Fitness Expert, and now Cherie Creator is to empower you all to make educated decisions about your skin health and wellness by wiping away the lies and taking the BS out of the beauty industry with simple nerdy posts like this one backed in science. Let’s go ahead and chat facts about the eye area, eye creams, and how this all works so you can make your own decisions on whether eye cream is for you or not. FACT: The skin around the eyes isn’t like the rest of the face. It has no pores. FACT: Pores are the primary way that products are delivered aka get into the skin. FACT: Delivery systems are high tech skin science. They are like the SpaceX of skincare. Anyone can put products on the top of the skin. It’s the company that can get those products ingredients delivered to the exact place they needs to go without damaging anything along the way or having them lose potency that’s a rock ⭐️. FACT: Since the skin around the eyes doesn’t have pores to get product through it needs high tech science 🔬🧬 and ingredients to work on the eye area. FACT: Eye Creams are formulates especially for delivery to the eye area to repair eye issues. FACT: Eye creams aren’t miracle workers. They don’t fix genetic problems like bags, dark circles, etc. They can improve their appearance. OPINION: You may want to skip eye cream for some genetically predisposed things like dark circles which are often caused by pooling blood, poor circulation, shadowing of the upper brow ridge, and diet and try other solutions first. OPINION: Hydration can help your eye area look better! This means any moisturizing will help. Drinking more water💦 applying basic moisturizer will hydrate the top layers of the skin and make them appear better. Understand the deeper layers are not improved. It’s a temporary fix and isn’t repairing or stopping future damage. FALSE: Moisturizer is just as good around the eye area as specially formulated eye cream. TRUTH: Regular moisturizer will not penetrate the eye area skin. It will stay on the orbital bone or in the top dead layers of skin superficially as just hydration. But it most likely won’t repair anything more deeply. Specially designed delivery systems are needed to get into a pore-less area like the eyes. TRUTH: Crows feet don’t need special eye cream. This is where there’s a lot of misinformation! Wrinkles on the sides of the eyes, outside the orbital bone, is regular skin So nope you don’t need special cream per say. 😘 #cheriecreator #eyecream #anti-aging #eyeareaconcerns

It’s all in the EYES!
These are my absolute favorite eye creams! The ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff I always see such amazing results, especially after continuous use. No scent and a nice thick texture. I have dark circles and puffy under eyes so I’m always on the hunt for the best. The FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream is a favorite because of the Niacinamide and it is so brightening! It has no scent and is also nice and thick. A little goes a long way. Both are worth the purchase! Will last you a life time!

INSTANT RESULTS! HOLY GRAIL STATUS!
I wanted to introduce you to the @saturday_skin Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream with Avocado. This eye cream is formulated with antioxidants, avocado protein, and a peptide complex that visibly illuminates and hydrates the skin around the eyes. I can say with confidence that this cream does exactly as it claims. This eye cream gives you that energized, wide-awake look and totally refreshes the eye area which is why I use this every morning! Also, helps minimize the appearance of dark circles, depuffs the eye area and smooth fine lines. It has a lightweight silky gel texture and is super easy to apply. And of course the packaging is just stunning! • • I highly recommend picking it up and giving it a try! #saturdayskin just launched a mini version of the cream if you would like to test it out before committing to the full size! 💗

Silk Peony eye cream
This is one of my all time favorite eye creams along with the cru caudalie line. I have dark dry under eye circles and this baby makes it so I don’t have to wear concealer. It’s pricey. $60ish I believe I bought it during the Sephora sale so I got 20% off but I find its very worth it! 5/5 best eye cream! And look how cute the design of the little bottle is!!

Dark circles? Fine lines? 👁
I have combination skin, acne prone and I have dark circles and some fine lines around the eyes. Dark circles have been my main problem since I was about 24 years old, the lack of sleep made them worse and since then I have been looking for effective ways to reduce them. Fine lines have appeared over the years and that is why I try to keep my eye area well hydrated. sesderma - C-VIT Eye Contour Cream $36 My dermatologist gave me some samples and I loved it! Its a very lightweight cream that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave sticky, has a subtle orange smell. It is the one with which I have noticed most changes in the coloration of dark circles, in addition to hydrating and helping to reduce wrinkles. FILORGA - Optim-Eyes Eye Contour Cream (0.5oz) $49 I had samples of this eye cream and I liked it. It has a light texture, which is easily absorbed and also helps to reduce the pigmentation of dark circles and wrinkles around the eyes. I've also had good results, it's a little more expensive than Sesderma's, but I still think it's worth it. It has a floral aroma, and it is also another cream that has given me good results. Tips: Use sun protection. The eye area is the most prone to sun damage, wear sunglasses and sunscreen, those with zinc oxide generally don’t irritate the eyes. Be gentle when cleaning and applying serum and moisturizer, rubbing can cause wrinkles or or worsen the signs of aging. Always remove all makeup before bed. Get a good night sleep. Hydrate well. Don’t apply products that have oil, they can clog the glands around the eyes. Use a good moisturizer cream. Limit salt intake and add antioxidants to help reduce inflammation.

DARK CIRCLES REVIEW | Burt’s Bees Renewal
Review for dark circles! (Spoiler alert I wasn’t impressed) ✨ BURT’S BEES - Renewal Smoothing Eye Cream This product is advertised as bring able to visibly reduce dark circles and undereye puffiness. This is probably a product that is targeted towards a mature audience because of its claims to reduce wrinkles over time. In the second picture you can see that this is a thicker consistency eye cream that feels like a typical lotion. It applies easily without balling up or crumbling under makeup. I’ve used this product up completely and it took me about 4 months to use up. I’m always looking for a new eye cream because none have really impressed me so far so I thought I would give it a shot! Overall, I was not super impressed because I felt like after repeated use I did not see improvements in dark circles. This is an OKAY cream and does the job at moisturizing dry eyes. But in terms of reducing puffiness, I did see that at all. Luckily, I had no adverse reactions such as burning or breakouts. Also, it applied well under makeup which is a huge plus for me. In the end, I would only recommend this to someone who needs a very BASIC undereye cream for moisture purposes. If you’re looking for one that will cure your undereye darkness, this is not it! I will say that the price is very affordable at $12 and it can be found at most drugstores. According to their website, they changed the formula of this line so I’m curious to try it out and see how it compares 🤔

kylie skin eye cream
Hoppin on a little late for an update on the @kylieskin eye cream💓🧖🏼♀️ Why can’t all packaging be this simple yet so gorgeous! - I have been using this eye cream for the past two weeks and I am really loving it! For costing $20 this product has worked wonders for me and honestly is not that pricy compared to most eye creams out there. The consistency is a little bit on the thicker side but it absorbs so well into my skin leaving it super hydrated! I definitely have seen an improvement with dark circles and puffiness in the mornings when I’m really needing a pick me up! I definitely will keep using and mightttt repurchase (not too sure bc i have so many eye creams to finish) - The only downside for me is the plastic applicator makes it a little difficult to get on, but I just end up using my ring finger and patting it on. - If you’re hesitant about purchasing from Kylie's line, I definitely would recommend the eye cream and toner for first time buys! Have you bought anything from @kylieskin💓✨
