Sun-Proof/ Uv damage skin care
Sunscreen is an absolute necessity in EVERYBODY'S skincare routine, especially during summer when we are spending more time outside! Spf is found in lotions, foundations, facial mists, and are also sold separately. Investing in spf is defintely worth your money in the short and long term for your skin health.
Andalou Naturals- This is the face cream(spf 18) that I use during the day. It uses fruit stem cell complexes that are great for anti aging, antioxidants, and are an anti-inflammatory. It also contains "super" antioxidants which are amazing for helping the skin bounce back from sun damage and protect us from free radicals.
Sun Bum Sunscreen- Spf 50, this is a chemical sunscreen that is moisturizing and doesn't break me out at the same time! I have very sensitive skin and have had no problems with this product. I apply this after my lotion and before my primer/foundation.
Ulta Rose Water Setting Spray- (Check my page for my in depth review) This product has become an essential in my makeup routine. This setting spray has a matte finish and an spf of 50!!! This doesn't cause any irritation in my skin and can even be applied without makeup underneath it.
Sun Bum Cool Down Soothing Gel- Anyone with fair skin can tell you how much sunburn sucks! I use this to prevent my skin from peeling or even if I just spend a long time in the sun. This lotion in particular contains Vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant a known for reducing UV damage, and also Tea Tree Leaf Oil, which calms redness and inflammation. The aloe is great for moisturizing, acne, redness, inflammation, and burns in general.

THE ORDINARY HAUL UPDATE
the products I have purchased have been amazing, I'm absolutely in love my morning routine now is cleanse with squalaneThe Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser apply TO The Ordinary - Amino Acids + B5 then moisturize with CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream and what I forgot to put in my first post, I finish off with sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 before my makeup evening, cleanse again, use the The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution(please don't use if you have sensitive skin) my skin is used to retinoids from previous attempts at fixing my skin, and this product leaves me feeling clean, but sensitive skin can have a very different reaction then I mix together The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5withThe Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder it comes with a little scoop and I use the recommended 1/4 scoop mixed with the hyaluronic acid. then I use the same moisturizer Now let's talk about my thoughts! I love the cleanser, it leaves me smooth, not dry, not right, but I feel super clean like the days dirt is just gone which is fantastic. the purge process has definitely started, but I just use acne patches and the purge so far isn't that bad. mixing the niacinamide with hyaluronic has been fantastic for me! I never liked the niacinamide with zinc, the zinc irritated my skin and I would get these pustules along my jaw bone which haven't made an appearance since I switched, so it was definitely the zinc. the amino acid serum, this one I'm conflicted. it has helped in preventing breakouts while wearing makeup, but it's so watery I would've preferred if it came in a spray bottle for easier application. not sure if I'd repurchase the hyaluronic could probably do what it's been doing to my skin. and the toner! arguably the most controversial of these products. this has helped brighten my skin so far, and my pores look so much smaller! that's probably the hydrating products I've been using, but I also haven't gotten blackheads clogging said pores either so I think it's a bit of both! I'm curious to see how effective this routine will be during my more hormonal days, I will continue to update!
The 4th rule of skincare
Everyone should know the 4 essential steps of a perfect skincare routine. A good cleanser A toner suitable for your skin concerns A moisturizer perfect for your skin type And last but not least: SUNSCREEN! Sunscreen is an essential step in our skincare routines because it protects our skin from harmful UV rays and free radicals. Free radicals, when damaged, accelerates the skins aging process and leaves our bodies more susceptible to disease! Additionally, a good spf will reduce your chances of getting sunspots and keep your skin looking healthy and radiant. This setting spray has an spf of 50 and is great because you can reapply even with makeup on! This matte finish will also leave your makeup looking fresh throughout a day in the sun. The rose water setting spray also is packed with antioxidants, has hydrating properties, and reduces redness. This product receives a 5/5 rating from me because it is packed with ingredients that have become a necessity in my daily skincare routine. Not only that, but it can be reapplied as needed throughout the day to keep skin protected and matte. Complete your daily routine with this amazing sunscreen! This product is retailed for $9.99 on Ulta.com.
Supergoop Defense Refresh Mist
I bought this product in a 3 piece mini set to try out some of Supergoop’s products. I had heard great things about this brand and wanted to try them out! I have really been using this only when I’m going to be outdoors for long periods of time. I mist this over my face about every hour to help not get sunburned. So far it’s worked really great! It has a great smell as well, kinda fresh and minty. This is a great sun protection product overall! Supergoop! - Defense Refresh (Re)setting Mist SPF 40

Reef safe, non chemical, mineral SPF to love!
I’m always on the hunt for a new tinted moisturizing sunscreen that checks off my boxes: • Broad spectrum but also protects from UVA-1 • Reef safe • Mineral based • Won’t break me out • Looks good on my fair skin • Doesn’t feel thick and make me sweat 😓 • Smells ok • A little tinted coverage would be great • Assists with hydration For most of the year I use Dream Tint by Jane Iredale, but during the colder months I need something with more hydration. It’s a fine line though! I don’t want something heavy and gunky. 🙅♀️ I really love all the Epicuren ☀️🧴 sunscreens so when this new tinted all mineral one was launched I jumped on it! So glad I did. 🥰 As with all their other SPF’s this one feels incredible. It goes on rich and creamy and as I rub it in the product just melts into the skin and blends perfectly. My only complaint is with the price tag. I’m used to expensive products and paying $$$ for quality. This still felt a little intense for the tiny tube. 1oz is $84!😳 I grab this one on sale so it felt like a good deal. I REALLY like it and as long as I can get it for $60 or so I think it’s worth it. #cheriecreator epicuren DISCOVERY - Defend and Balance Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 jane iredale - Dream Tint Moisture Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 15

The only sunscreen worth buying
I’ve spent the last year down the rabbit hole 🕳 of sunscreen research and trial. You see I totally had my three tried and try SPFs that I loved and trusted. Then I read about UVA1 and how the USA isn’t testing sunscreen for this most harmful of all newly discovered rays and I was like 😳😱💀😭 Yeah I freaked out. Everything I knew were had to toss away and start from the beginning. After a year of testing SPF and thorough research i to how UVA1 is measured and the new non American sunscreens are being formulated I can say I came away with a short list of ok to use sunscreen. Korean brand CANMAKE - Mermaid Skin Gel UV is the best. It feels like nearly nothing on the skin. It leaves a light pearly look that isn’t shiny but a subtle glow and it protects from UVA1! It’s also been 100% okay for problem skin types. My one hesitation with this sunscreen is I don’t like it under surgical masks but honestly except for jane iredale - PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation Refill I haven’t liked anything under that thing. #cheriecreator #koreanskincare

BIGGEST MYTH- DON’T NEED SUNSCREEN INSIDE
ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 I hope I don’t need to tell you that you should have to wear your sunscreen inside, but hey let me remind you why! The sun is powerful, she emits two types of sun rays: UVA rays and UVB rays. Since UBV Rays are shorter these rays are usually blocked by windows. However UVA rays penetrates through windows. This is damaging to the skin, its collagen and elasticity, as well as putting ourselves at an increased risk of skin cancer. We also are surrounded by blue lights between our cell phones and televisions, computers. Some favorite sunscreens that tackle all three: Ilia super serum skin tint spf 40 Supergoop Glowscreen spf 40 Tula protect & Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist that I got. 🌟 I took this with me on my overnight trip and it was really quick & easy to use. I was a little wary of the spray form because I had a feeling it would come out a bit stronger than other mists I use. 🧳 It did spritz our firmly but evenly. It does have a bit of minty fragrance which I wasn’t expecting. It wasn’t unpleasant though. 😊 Overall, I like it but I think I prefer a cream sunscreen. This mist, however, is ideal for traveling & for reapplication when I’m outside for extended periods of time on the weekend. 👍🏾
