Battle of the Face Cleansers
My skin type is combo oily that can lean more dry during the weather changes or just randomly. My skin concerns are acne, oiliness throughout the day and also dehydration. I’ve ranked the face washes I currently have open right now based on how they worked for me personally (starting from favorite). My all time favorite is COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
Non comedogenic face washes
Cleansing balms for dry skin
Glycolic acid in skincare
Clean clogged pores
Faizaa19😍😍 just curious but what made you give the cleanser four instead of five stars?

CollegeskincareThank you 🥰! The tea tree scent is very strong, so I don’t think people with a sensitivity to fragrance would like it. Sorry, I should have mentioned that’s why I took a star off! But for me the scent isn’t an issue and I love it!
5•26•20 ✨This mornings skin routine✨ 1. Cleanse: MARIO BADESCU - Glycolic Foaming Cleanser is a cleanser for ALL skin types & you typically only need to use 2-3x a week depending on your skin type. I have a combination skin type which may cause me to use 1-2x a week. No more than that! This leaves my face feeling super clean! • 2. Tone: DICKINSON'S - Energizing Astringentworks good for my skin; it’s not for everyone though. I find that some toners leave my skin feeling tight and dry but this one does not. • 3. Scrub: OLE HENRIKSEN - Transforming Walnut ScrubI only use a facial scrub once a week as it tends to dry out my skin too much and leaves it feeling irritable or causes a burning sensation; so I only use it once throughout the week & that does the trick! • 4. Serum:SEPHORA COLLECTION - Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strengthen Vitamin C Serum I LOVE LOVE LOVE this serum!!!! It gives my skin a glow like never before!! I will always use this product right before applying my moisturizer without a doubt. I would definitely recommend this product. • 5. Moisturize:Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream Lastly I applied my favorite moisturizer thus far! This stuff does not get rid of the glow my serum gives me after applying or give me a dull look as some moisturizer cream does. AMAZING stuff! Definitely purchase.
Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser
I have typically oily skin with the occasional breakout and dry spot, but it has been experiencing hormonal breakouts and dryness (due to the weather). I have a light skin ton with neutral undertones, along with acne scarring on my cheeks. This product is an exfoliating cleanser that you can use up to three times a week. It is designed to dissolve dulling dead skin cells, to help refine pores and retexturize uneven skin. I used this as my second cleanse on regular nights and nights I wanted to exfoliate and honestly didn’t notice that much of a difference. I would use this three times a week since my skin is normally oily, but nothing. It didn’t hurt or burn on blemishes or dry patches. I felt like this was just a basic second cleanse and nothing special. I was meh about this product because it doesn’t live up to its claims, but it was a nice second cleanse. I’m not sure if I would recommend this since it doesn’t do what it claims, but it might work better with other skin types. I do think this is worth the price because the full size is a big amount, it’s a pretty cheap cleanser and it did fine as a second cleanse. MARIO BADESCU - Glycolic Foaming Cleanser Price: $16 for 6 fl oz/ 177 mL Rating: 4/5
Brand Review: COSRX
As someone with problematic skin, I can’t count on one hand how many COSRX products I’ve tried before. COSRX is a brand that was established in Korea almost two decades ago in 2002. Its name comes from Cosmetics + Rx, showing how much the brand focuses on solving different skin issues. Since most of its products are fairly affordable, I’ve become a pretty huge fan over the years. Although I started using the brand as a university student in my late teens, I never stopped patronizing their products. In fact, until now I still use COSRX products especially for my acne. Here are some products I’ve tried from this Korean skincare brand! 1. COSRX - Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner To this day, this is the toner I use when I have breakouts. It has a water like consistency and is easily absorbed into the skin. It also soothes my pimples, reducing redness and irritation. 2. COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch These are actually hydrocolloid patches, the same type of product that is used on patients who are healing from surgeries. I use these when I have a pimple that is already on its way out in order to speed up the healing process and avoid acne scars. 3. COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner This was the toner I had before switching to my current toner. It has a similar consistency to the Centella toner and I think it complemented my other AHA products nicely. 4. COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser Not a fan of this cleanser at all, but I will admit that it’s not a bad product. It did manage to make my skin smooth, soft, and ready for my routine. However, I prefer cream type cleansers to gel type. 5. COSRX - Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser This is actually my boyfriend’s cleanser, but he kept one at my place so when I used up my AM cleanser, I used this for a while. It lathers well but it’s also really drying, so get a nice moisturizer if you wanna use this product. 6. COSRX - Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence I only got this because I saw a lot of reviews hyping it online. Can’t say I noticed any considerable changes with this product. As an essence, it was rather moisturizing... and that was pretty much it. I didn’t get any breakouts or suffer from irritation though, so there’s that. 7. COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream I bought this product as spot treatment for my acne. It did work, sort of, but it was so slow that I’m not sure if it was even because of this product or if the pimples were simply at the end of their life. 😂 With a price of $20 for a 30ml tub though, I definitely didn’t think it was worth paying that much for a so-so product. I’ve been using COSRX for so long that I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting a few more products, but these are the ones I’ve tried in the last 3 years, at least. What about you? Let me know in the comments! 💋
Good product 👍- Bad smell 😖
I wanted to like this COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser I was on the fence about it for a while but, ultimately, I think I’ll return it. Here’s a couple of things I noticed: 1. The SMELL. It reminded me of a chemical cleaner (like maybe a toilet cleaner?). I can’t quite place it, but it was definitely off-putting. 2. It had a nice gel texture that foamed as I lathered it into my skin. 3. It didn’t strip my skin and leave it feeling thirsty. However, it also didn’t add much hydration. It was pretty neutral in my opinion (which is what it’s supposed to be). I thought I was going to enjoy that aspect, but ultimately my skin is too dry for this product. (I have combo skin in the summer and very dry skin in the winter but it always leans more to the dry side). I probably could have gotten past the lack of hydration and used it only in hot summer months, but that smell was just so unpleasant every time I used it. But smells are such a relative and personal opinion that I can’t completely knock the product. And the lack of hydration isn’t the fault of the product, it did exactly what it stated. So, for that reason, I gave it four stars. Hopefully my review helps you decide if it’s a good product for you
I realized that despite being my favorite second cleanse of all time, I have never formally reviewed the iSCLINICAL Cleansing Complex! A low-pH runny gel cleanser, with willow bark and sugar cane extracts (natural sources of Salicylic and Glycolic Acid) and gentle surfactants to cleanse and decongest the skin. (Note, the pH is not low enough for the extracts to effectively exfoliate, but they certainly add to its decongesting properties). I was previously in the camp of ‘cleansers aren’t on the skin long enough to have effect’ but this cleanser was the first to change my mind almost two years ago. This cleanser is leap years ahead of the traditional cleansers marketed towards oily/acne skins. It is neither harsh nor remotely stripping to the skin, yet is still able to effectively prevent breakouts (congestion in particular, in my experience) by removing dirt, debris and dead skin cells to prevent build up within the pore. I’ve noticed that when I’ve gone through phases of opting for something like Glossier Milky Jelly instead - I will experience more congestion or inflamed breakouts than if I were using the Cleansing Complex consistently. I’ll admit, I’ll occasionally yearn for a more sensory experience with a fun-textured or heavenly-scented cleanser, and sometimes switch it out - but I’m always running back (sometimes within days) to this one. It’s fragrance-free, fuss-free and it does the job - and more. I would recommend this for combo-oily and in particular, acneic skins. Though I have seen people with drier skin types also use this with success.

Bioré Charcoal Acne Daily Cleanser Review
This is the Biore Charcoal Acne Daily Cleanser. I have tried this for the first time in college when my acne and texture was at its worse. The active ingredient in this cleanser is salicylic acid (1%) and it claims to penetrate the pores to control acne, clear up existing acne, as well as prevent new acne blemishes from forming. It comes with a pump which is very convenient and hygienic. However, I do not like this product. It was way too drying for me. It didn’t really help me with my texture and acne and left my face feeling very tight and stripped. It also has charcoal powder that is listed as an inactive ingredient which I don’t know how effective it is then. I passed this guy to my brother who also has pretty acne prone and oily skin. He loves this cleanser. He said he felt it really clear up his pores and definitely prevented new acne from occurring. He said it also left his face squeaky clean. Maybe it is a preferential thing but I hated how stripped my face felt. 🤷🏻♀️ I would rate it 1/5 though. I don’t recommend it to sensitive skins either. Unless you are like my brother, who like to feel squeaky clean. Bioré - Charcoal Acne Cleanser

Favorite pore-minimizing cleanser for oily skin!
This cleanser is marketed toward people with acne and claims to clean, clear pores, and treat acne. It is used as a gel cleanser that helps to dissolve excess oil, purify pores, and clear and prevent future breakouts. It targets acne, oilyness, and pores and contains two types of salicylic acid to treat acne immediately and over time. It has a bouncy gel texture and a clear thin consistency, with a pleasant light scent that is not too overpowering. I bought this just over a month ago and it has become my go-to nighttime cleanser for when my skin gets oily and congested during the day. I love it and decided to try it when it went on sale at murad.com. I like it because I see results immediately after using to to cleanse my skin for a minute. I have had less breakouts and my pores feel smaller and less congested. I would highly recommend it if you are searching for a new nighttime cleanser and have oily skin because it is very effective and you will see results immediately. It is definitely worth it because it is quick and pretty cheap (I bought mine for $8 usd). If you need a new cleanser, this one is probably for you! Murad - Clarifying Cleanser
BEST ACNE CLEANSER! (La Roche Posay)
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin PRODUCT FUNCTION Non-drying gel cleanser TARGET CONCERNS acne, dullness, inflammation TEXTURE/CONSISTENCY It’s a clear gel, that lathers up very nicely! MY THOUGHTS Before this cleanser, I was struggling with acne on my forehead and chin. I’ve only been using it for a month and they are all gone! That’s why I love it! This cleanser contains 2% Salicylic Acid, LHA which can go deep into pores and help clear them out! This also contains zinc gluconate which is a PHA (poly hydroxy acid) which is a more gentle form of exfoliation compared to BHA or even AHA. I would recommend this to all my friends suffering from acne, and it is totally worth the P.S. It’s pretty affordable as well!!

Helps acne go away fast! 🌟
Although I have sensitive skin this product is perfect! This product is perfect because it isn’t harsh on my sensitive skin and quickly helped bumps and blemishes go away on my skin. This product here did have a fresh and clean scent I’m pretty sure it isn’t fragrance free because like I mentioned it did have a slight scent to it. •This product significantly helps unclog pores and gently exfoliates your skin. Overall I definitely recommend this product! It significantly helps clear up your skin. Like I mentioned it gently exfoliates and helps with your acne. 🌟

Gets Rid Of Redness!
Why I Bought It: I bought this awhile ago while I was looking for something to help me out with my redness because I felt like I looked like I was always blushing. My Experience: When I first bought it I hated it. It made my skin so dry to the point my face was peeling in my drier areas(I have combo skin so my cheeks are my drier areas). So I stopped using it. But recently I started using it again and it does make me a little dry still but I go in with a moisturizer after and my face feels better. The redness has gone down so much it looks like I don’t even have it anymore. And it has helped the occasional breakouts that I get. I also noticed that my pores feel less large and my nose has less blackheads. Is It Worth It?: Neutrogena - Oil Free Acne Wash, Redness Soothing Facial Cleanser I would say yes if you want to get rid of redness and acne. I didn’t give it all five stars just because I feel like it does make my face dry and tight without a moisturizer. @Walmart for $6.97
