I picked up the shades 125, 140, 350, and 799 of the L'ORÉAL - Colour Riche Lipcolour from Target because I got the shade 129 first and they're awesome, so I had to get more. Pros: - Affordable ($6 each) - Wide variety of colors - Pigmented enough that it's not too bad - I like the design of the lids / covers, like how they aren't too big and it's easy to know how they're supposed to go on because there's a notch on one side, which is the back & how they're gold!! (unlike the MAYBELLINE - Color Sensational Lipcolorwhich have long lid/cover things and that's annoying to me) - Very smooth and soft consistency - Smell nice and not like chemicals Cons: - Don't stay as long as I'd hoped - like matte lipsticks, but since these are very creamy, they're not expected to stay forever but that's ok - In between a lip stain and a lip stick - I wish they were more pigmented but that kinda depends on the color tbh (like bright red vs a light pink or light tan)
Maybelline color sensational lipstick!!
I picked up the shade 144 naked dare of the MAYBELLINE - Color Sensational Lipcolor (it's listed as color sensational cremes lipstick and I got it for $5.59) from Target and I already have shade 920 nude lust and love it, so I decided to get another one. I heard about this shade on Laura Lee's channel and how it's her go-to drugstore lipstick. Honestly, I'm impressed and there's nothing really wrong with it. Also, it's thicker and more pigmented than the buffs collection, so I'm more impressed with it, the only problem I have is that it's easy to apply a lot and I find that it's really good if you want an ombre nude lip!! 5/5 because it's worth it for $5.59!! 😍
I got essence - Spice Up Your Life Eyeshadow Palette at the drugstore for maybe five dollars. I thought, why not? I’m just looking to expand my eyeshadow colors. Would I recommend this product? Well, for five bucks, sure. It’s very loose and powdery once you stick a brush in. Though the first coat is pretty light, it’s actually quite buildable. I didn’t use a primer for this, just testing it out. -On another note, don’t mind my messy eyeliner haha. I used a pencil because it’s all I have on hand at the moment. -

Accurate 1950s Makeup Colours
This is a scale of colours that I’ve curated through research of the 1950s. The shades are exact colour matches of real 1950s colours. Lipstick: Love that Red Head by Besame, Pink in the Afternoon by Revlon. Blush: Ricardo Rosé by Besame (club babalu pallette) Eyeshadows: Babablu and Tropicana Taupe by Besame (Club babalu pallette) Aqua by MAC (seafoam shade) In the 1950s we start to see a broad range of makeup colours come to the public as restrictions on makeup products are lifted. Lipstick was still a huge deal with (not overdrawn) but full Marilyn style lips. With popular colours being reds and pinks! People tended to use eye shadows that were the same colours as their eyes - blues and greens becoming more popular. Brows became fuller darker and more angled (Audrey hepburn-esque) Blush was peachy and minimal often used as a slight face contour.
black lipstick hunt just DAYS before halloween😱
hey friends! welcome back! as promised, here are my drugstore black lipstick reviews! please bear with me. i forgot to take pictures of each of the individual lipsticks and what they looked like on. so, the pictures attached are screenshots from videos that i sent to my sisters and friends 😂 i apologize! but they’re the best i’ve got for ya. another note: as in the title, these were what i was able to find only TWO DAYS before halloween. i know i didn’t plan this well, but wanting a black lipstick was very last minute! i don’t have any makeup retailers in my town, such as ulta or sephora. so drugstore products are the only options i have, unless i am ordering online! RIMMEL - Stay Matte Liquid Lip Stain i began my hunt at walmart, because i thought they had the largest selection of different brands and a variety of products, etc. they had ONE black lipstick left in all of their makeup products, and this was it. rimmel stay matte liquid lip color in 840 pitch black: i gave this 2/5 stars. it wasn’t very opaque, and the coverage was spotty. unfortunately, i don’t have a picture of this product on. it was only somewhat buildable. i also tried putting concealer on my lips first and then applying the product and building up the coverage, and it was okay, but not great. using the concealer also made it more of a gray color than black. my hunt continued at cvs. here, i found 4 black lipsticks to try out! L.A. Girl - Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick l.a. girl matte flat velvet lipstick in glc826 raven: i gave this 3/5 stars. it was the one i ended up wearing. the coverage was okay, but it had to be built up. however, it started cracking and flaking a couple of hours after application. the rest were also found at cvs. MILANI - Bold Color Statement Matte Lipstick milani bold color statement matte lipstick in 24 i am invincible: i gave this 1/5 stars. coverage was spotty and not very buildable. REVLON - Super Lustrous Lipstick revlon super lustrous lipstick in 043 midnight mystery: i gave this 1/5 stars. this was actually more of a navy blue color with some blue sparkles/glitter in it. i was looking for actual black, so this wasn’t it. aside from that, the color was patchy and not buildable. MAYBELLINE - Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds Lipstick maybelline color sensational bold matte lipstick in 845 pitch black: i gave this 1/5 stars. like some of the others, the color was patchy and not buildable.
UD Naked Honey
Worth the hype! Even the lightest transition shade is so pigmented. They were little to no fall outs and I am LIVING for the honey shade

Putting this $125 Eyeshadow Palette to Use!!
I’ve been loving the PAT McGRATH LABS - Mothership Eyeshadow Palette and today I used the shade Blitz Amethyst basically all over my lid. Before I put that shade all over my lid, I used MAC - MAC Matte Eyeshadow For my lips i use MAC - Powder Kiss Lipstick in Impulsive & e.l.f. - SRSLY Satin Lipstick in Crème ( no lipgloss this time ) I love this look with the dark hair. i haven’t seen myself with hair colored hair in a long time so hopefully you guys like it too 💙
MAC-MAC Matte Eyeshadow
Products used for this look
👁 Hank & Henry Living In Color eyeshadow palette: I loved this palette! The packaging was OK, I didn’t have high expectations to be honest but it blended really nicely and the colours are all really great for everyday wear. 🌟 Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb Highlight: I love this highlight! I definitely lean towards highlighters that give more of a ‘wet look’ but this one is wonderful too! Really buildable. You can wear very lightly or build it up so it’s really icy. 💄 Huda Beauty lipstick and liner (colour is H.B.I.C + Board Meeting) I am absolutely in LOVE with this lipstick and liner. It’s matte but doesn’t feel dry and the colour is one you can wear daily whether you have a natural face or full glam!!
