How I fixed my skin 😇
Clurr
So I know my skin still isn’t perfect (is anyone’s skin perfect tho??) but it looks a lot better!!!!
I went to many dermatologists who never told me I had fungal acne 😒 they always recommended creams and stuff that just dried out my skin more but didn’t help!
So one day I googled “it feels like there are rocks in my skin” and I figured out that i had fungal acne 😝 I didn’t even know there were different types of acne!!
Right away I started using Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo
Fungal acne
HERBIVORE
innisfree
De La Cruz
VANICREAM
Nizoral
Toner
Face Cream
Face Serum
Face Wash
Acne Treatment
Shampoo
Jan. 10
Product Mentioned
FA safe but there is a Sulfur product I prefer
MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
^ has no fungal acne triggers
Has 2 ingredients that help fight fungal acne:
- Sulfur
- Salicylic Acid
Some people say it dries out there skin too much but I think it’s okay as a spot treatment. But it didn’t do much for my acne.
A Sulfur spot treatment mask that works really well for me is De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength which you only leave on clean skin for 10 min then wash it off and use your regular skin care products

Skincare Junkie Needs Help Please!
Does this look like fugal acne or closed comedones? What do you guys think about this?!
Thank you!!
I’m a self proclaimed skin care junkie. I love learning everything there is to learn. When this current situation started, I was so discouraged. I pay so much attention and care to my face, I can’t believe this happened to me.
I have a few hunches as to what it could have started it.
- Double cleansing with the same cleanser
(Paula’s Choice Optimal Results Hydrating)
- Wearing a mask outside in the cold over Christmas for 2 hours
- Wearing sunscreen under a mask
- Using too heavy of moisturizers on my face too frequently
(Acure Radically Rejuvenating Night Cream)
(The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors)
This is everything I was using at the time this started:
Paulas Choice Resist Optimal Results Cleanser
Drunk Elephant TLC
The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors
Acure Radically Rejuvenating Night Cream
TO Niacinamide + Zinc
TO Absorbyl Glucoside Solution
Mychelle Sun Tint (Tint and non-tinted)
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen
DRMTLGY SPF 46
DRMTLGY Universal Tinted
Fungal Acne Safe Products I Switched to:
Purito Defense Barrier PH Cleanser
Stridex Pads
Iunik Centella Calming Hydrating Gel Cream
The Ordinary Plant-Based Squalane
TO Niacinamide + Zinc
TO Absorbyl Glucoside Solution
De La Cruz Sulfur Spot Treatment
De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength

I need some advice!!
Hi everyone! This is my first post & don’t have a lot of followers so if you see this please help if you can or share so that more people can see it! I am a teacher so I have to wear a mask all day everyday and I am getting fungal acne on my forehead from it. It has never been an issue for me before wearing a mask continuously for so long and I’m looking for some products that will either help it or at least won’t make it worse. I know there are some ingredients I need to watch out for but I would love some product recommendations if you have any! I started using the Nizoral shampoo and I am seeing some improvement from that. I have also been loving the Versed Just Breathe serum for other ‘maskne’ issues! Thank you for any suggestions or advice!

UPDATE ON THIS ANTI-DANDRUFF SHAMPOO
Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo I’m been using this shampoo for about 2 weeks and so far it has help with my itching hair, and my dandruff, but not completely. It smell a bit weird, but not a unpleasant smell, I prefer this one instead of the Head and shoulders mint shampoo because in my opinion the only thing that that one was doing is cooling my scalp 🤣 and just the time the shampoo was on my hair the itchiness will go away.
So, so far it’s good ☺️ 4/5

Huge update
So I haven’t been on here in a little while because I’ve been trying to take a break on taking photos of my face and looking at skincare social media because it’s really compromised my mental health and I’m a lot less stressed about it when I’m not constantly focused on it if that makes sense :)
Anyways WHOLE NEW ROUTINE
last time I checked in I had mentioned I switched to differin,
I’m not too sure if that helped me, I did purge a lot.
But skin has healed so much faster since stopping differin
I finally got to visit the derm and she told me to go back on tretinoin 0.025% to use every night, and she also prescribed me with the clindamycin topical solution 1% to use once every morning.
She also advised me to go back on birth control. At first I was not fond of that because birth control AKA I.U.D HELL brought this acne upon me in the first place. But she recommended it to get my hormones back in check, but she also stated she wasn’t comfortable prescribing me spirlactone (which is what I was aiming for) without using BC even though I stated to her I am not sexually active currently and I don’t plan to be for a very long time.
Anyways, I made an appointment with my obgyn and got on birth control pills, if you are curious to which one it’s called “Drospirenone”
I haven’t started them yet because she told me to wait until the first Sunday during my period.
But I have been consistently using the tret and the clindamycin every day for only a week and a half so far and I’ve already seen a lot of improvement. I don’t want to get too excited because I this is what happened the first time with tret, it was great the first week or two and then my skin started to purge. I’ve now been through the purging process 3 times. And it’s gonna be torture to go through it again but if it happens then it happens 🙏
Super nervous to start the birth control for the same reason but I can only be positive and hope for the best!
My full routine currently is
AM
VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser
clindamycin topical solution 1% (derm prescribed)
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30
*im switching to a higher spf
PM
VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser
Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream (the extra dry unscented version)
OBAGI - Tretinoin 0.025% Cream(derm prescribed)
And sometimes I like to put another thin layer of moisturizer on top once the tret is absorbed to prevent irritation and dryness

PM skincare routine with Differin!
Hi friends❤️
In this post I’m going to walk you through my PM routine on the nights that I use Differin!
Step 1: first cleanse
If I am wearing makeup I use the THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm
This is by far my favorite product in my whole skincare collection!
I cannot say enough good things about this product. I would give it more stars if I could! It gets ALL of my makeup off including mascara and also feels soooooo soothing on my skin. The texture makes it so relaxing to massage on my face after a long day. The smell isn’t great but it doesn’t bother me at all, just smells like oats. Possibly the best thing about this product is the value! It is only $10 for a huge tube that has lasted me almost 3 months and it’s not close to running out. I highly recommend this product because it is the best price for a first cleanse that I’ve found and is very soothing on my dry skin!
Step 2: Second cleanse
For my second cleanse after my makeup is off, I’ve been loving VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser
This product is super gentle and doesn’t leave my face feeling dry after! I was on vacation a few weeks ago and forgot a cleanser so I picked this up and ended up absolutely loving it!
Step 3: moisturizer
I have been using the CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream on the nights I use Differin first because I have dry skin to start out with, plus Differin really makes my skin flaky! I have had this night cream for awhile and it is good. I switched to using the CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream but it made my face sting and I think it was making me break out more 😭 so now I just use that on my body. So now I’m back to finishing the renewing night cream. I gave this product 4/5 stars only because I’m not in love with it. It is good but I will probably try a different moisturizer for night time when I finish this tub!
Step 4: Differin Gel
I have only been using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel every other night consistently for the past 2 weeks. This is the only reason I have given it 4 stars, I don’t know what my results with this product will be yet! I will keep you all updated on how it is helping my skin. This is my last try before going to a derm about my acne. I am hopeful that it will help, but I do know it can take a few months!
❤️❤️❤️

Toner safe for fungal acne prone skin 🍃
innisfree - Green Tea Moisture-Balancing Toner
This toner has no fungal acne triggers 🎉
Smells really nice
Makes my skin feel amazing
Definitely the best toner I’ve ever tried - very moisturizing but not too heavy
Has helped decrease my fungal acne breakouts
It is a thicker toner than some I’ve tried but I like the fact that I don’t have to use a cotton pad to apply it - I just pour a little into my hand and then spread it on my face, neck and décolleté.
The bottle is made well and when you pour out the product it doesn’t spill out 🙌🏼

a game changer in my routine
I’ve always loved Innisfree products and after I ran out of my innisfree - Pore Clearing Toner with Volcanic Cluster , I turned to other toners just to try them out, but after purchasing the innisfree - Green Tea Moisture-Balancing Toner , I remember why I loved Innisfree products in the first place.
This toner is more like an essence to me, thicker than the normal toner, but it works wonderfully to properly hydrate my skin and prep it for the following skincare products in my routine. It absorbs into my skin so well without leaving any sticky or greasy residue, or any dryness. My other skincare products go on so well after this, and my face is left feeling smooth, hydrated, and bouncy. I feel like it really transformed my skincare routine because my skincare products never really fully absorbed before I started using this.
One of the things about Innisfree is that they do have fragrance in their products, and while I do enjoy the fragrance, some people might find it overwhelming and possibly irritating to their skin. Innisfree products also usually have alcohol in their ingredients, which people typically try to avoid, but I don’t find it dries out my skin, rather the other ingredients work really well to hydrate my skin.
I also recently bought the innisfree - Intensive Hydrating Cream with Green Tea Seedand the innisfree - Cica Toner with Bija Seed Oil, and I’m really excited to try these out soon too!

FA safe - using as night cream
Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream
This cream has a strong fragrance but I do like the smell!! It has no fungal acne triggers 💕
I was wearing this cream in the AM and PM but it’s kinda thick compared to the cream I usually wear which is innisfree - Jeju Cherry Blossom Dewy Glow Jelly Cream
So I’m going to use it as a night face cream! It makes my skin feel silky smooth and hasn’t caused any breakouts 🥳
Has the ingredient - Propylene Glycol - which helps fight fungal acne breakouts + Panthenol which helps heal and is anti-inflammatory 🙌🏼
^ I get my ingredient info from www.folliculitisscout.com

Fave face cream for fungal acne prone skin!!
innisfree - Jeju Cherry Blossom Dewy Glow Jelly Cream
I have never tried a cream I have loved until this one!
I used to hate face cream and refused to wear it but this product changed everything 🤩
The cream feels as light as water when you spread it on your face and it immediately sinks into the skin
It has NO fungal acne triggers 🥳 and has helped my skin so much !!
The ingredients in this jelly cream are awesome and I 100% recommend you try this 💃🏽

Love this exfoliator and it’s safe for FA 🤩
HERBIVORE - Prism 12% AHA + 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow Serum
I love this and use it about 2 times a week!! It says to use it more often but I have heard you should really only use an exfoliator max 3 times a week (it can dry out your skin if it’s used too often)!
Not only does this product not have any fungal acne triggers but it has ingredients that help to get rid of fungal acne such as:
- Willow bark
- Lemon Extract
I highly recommend this product or HERBIVORE - Prism 5% Exfoliating Glow Potion which is also fungal acne safe and has added hydrating ingredients 💃🏽

I FINALLY picked these up! | 🎉🌞🌸
HERBIVORE - Cloud Nine Favorites Collection
We all know it’s nearly impossible to pass up a good sale! Sephora has one on now, and I figured it was the best time to treat myself to this set from Herbivore. I haven’t tried any of their products yet, but you guys seem to LOVE what they’re doing, so its about time!
The lowdown on what’s inside:
✨ HERBIVORE - Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser
This cleanser is said to remove makeup and impurities while hydrating the skin. Using tremella mushroom, a moisture-retaining powerhouse, soothing rose, and pure squalane, this is meant to be a silky, luxurious cleanse that leaves you feeling clean, without stripping your skin.
✨ HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask
This fan favourite mask is gentle on the skin, soothing redness and reducing the appearance of pores. It uses white willow bark (a natural BHA!), fruit enzymes, and blue tansy oil to reduce redness and inflamed acne. I can’t wait to see what the hype is about!
✨ HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin
Another popular pick, once again including blue tansy, is this beautifully coloured face oil. Additionally, it uses kukui nut and jojoba oil to balance and hydrate, our MVP squalane, and jasmine sambac oil to boost elasticity.
✨ HERBIVORE - Prism 12% AHA + 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow Serum
This chemical exfoliant is becoming more popular by the day! A mix of AHAs and BHAs, Prism uses naturally derived chemicals to gently resurface the skin, as well as rosewater to help soothe sensitive spots during the process.
✨ HERBIVORE - Coco Rose Body Polish
A delectably-scented body scrub, Coco Rose is highly moisturizing and leaves the skin smelling like a floral, tropical oasis. This scrub has some pink clay mixed in to help detox the skin while you exfoliate and hydrate.
After seeing so many of you talk about how in love you are with Herbivore, I’m seriously excited to use these products. The kit was packaged beautifully and really made me feel like I was gifting myself something so luxurious. 💅🏻
Stay tuned to see my in-depth reviews on each of these products! 📝

My Skincare Journey
I’ve recently realized I’m dealing with Fungal Acne on my forehead so I put together a full routine to help get rid of it. I have combo/oily skin.
Every night I use Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo for 5 minutes on my forehead as a mask to help combat the bumps.
I also use the PETER THOMAS ROTH - AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel to get rid of any existing acne and dark spots on my face/forehead.
I use the dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner to add back moisture and make my skin more plump since the Nizoral drys out my skin.
I use the dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator up to 2x a week to get any dead skin off and I love pairing it with my gel cleanser that I’m obsessed with the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser .
In the AM and PM I use the innisfree - Jeju Cherry Blossom Dewy Glow Jelly Cream I love this moisturizer despite it smelling like jello lol I love the fact it has a minimal ingredient list and has Niacinamide!
In the morning after I use the moisturizer I go in with my favorite SPF at the moment PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid it’s a very liquidy and runny texture.

Help me! Fungal acne + texture + redness
First picture is my night routine, 2nd is my morning! 3rd is my skin now :)
First off, i have combo skin, my skin is NOT sensitive it can handle a lot. i have struggled with cystic, normal, and fungal acne, texture, redness, you name it for 5 years. I have gotten it much better, but it still isn't great
NIGHT
I double cleanse every night using The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser and Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
I then follow with ONE of my treatments all targeted towards either fungal acne or texture. I typically use them based on how my skin is feeling. I will leave on the aha/bha when i use them for 30 minutes, and then rinse so it doesn't cause fungal acne. Nizoral tends to dry me out:( however it is effective against fungal acne (which is typically on my jaw)
COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo
The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
I then follow up with the CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin I use it on wet skin if not using a treatment that day. I cant tell if this is clogging my pores or not as i don't have dry skin, but the daily lotion is not fungal acne safe.... however i sometimes still use that.
MORNING
I again useCetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser nice gentle rinse that doesn't dry me out
I follow up with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
I feel like this helps with my cystic acne that I used to get, but does not help with oil production.
and lastly SPF!!!
I use the NIVEA SUPER WATER GEL SPF 50 (i can't find the product on here) it is FA safe and seems to work!
overall, i STILL struggle with texture, fungal acne, redness, and an oily t zone. i'm thinking about trying out the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser or the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser. i'm scared the purifying one will dry me out tho.
im also thinking about adding a hyalauronic acid serum in there and maybe a new moisturizer
please help!! what am i doing wrong where i still have texture/FA! any recommendations!!! especially for a new moisturizer
Nizoral-Anti Dandruff Shampoo
Skincare for ACNE
Paulas choice :Pore normalizing cleanser
-is a great gentle face wash for acne prone skin/blemish prone skin, dissolves pore clogging oil, makeup & impurities!
It’s fragrance free
Helps eliminate acne, black heads & whiteheads.
I’ve seen clearer skin using this with paulas choice bha 2% exfoliation. Within a week, I had less redness acne & breakouts.. I highly recommend this brand!
Paulas choice :oil free moisturizer
- for blemish prone skin
- vitamin b3 & blueberry!
-this hydrates WITHOUT clogging your pores!!
Was a must have for me. Every other moisturizer clogged my pores and caused more acne! It was hard to keep a moisturized face. But now I can be worry free and be hydrated! Because I have combo skin it was stressful finding that cream that didn’t just completely ruin all the work I put into trying to achieve clear skin.
But this is amazing. And someone like me (with acne & dry skin) would appreciate it too.

K-Beauty Skincare Routine ✨
These products were my introduction into K-Beauty and totally ignited my love for the brand CosRX!
I start off with using the COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser I love how gentle this is, it’s not stripping and gets off all the dirt from the day. I also love the smell, it so clean and fresh!
I then go in with the COSRX - One Step Original Clear Pad I like to cut these in half so I can have double the product and half a pad is more than enough! I wipe it across my face and I do find it keeps my acne at bay!
I too it off with the COSRX - Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion which I’m obsessed with! It’s a gel like texture and is hydrating and lightweight. Gives your skin a cool feeling too!
Definitely would recommend these products for skincare lovers and beginners!

Any tips?
My skin is oily/acne-prone, as you can see... Idk what to do. So i’ve recently just started using more
organic products such as Black Soap, Lemon & Turmeric. But i’ve also incorporated Sulfur for my
stubborn cystic acne. I’ve seen improvements in my hyperpigmentation, however I still break out weekly😒 I’m thinking my skin is imbalanced... Help😩
* I’m currently using a turmeric cleanser in the day + rose hip toner + aloe to balance ph + a serum that also has rose hip & aloe. For my moisturizer I use GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream + a lil extra niacinamide.
* At night, I have been alternating every other day for 2 days out the week then return to a routine I’ve been following for a month. I cleanse with a turmeric cleanser with this alternative routine. I also use Salicylic Acid & Glycolic acid in this mask:#Herbalife Skin®️ - Purifying Mint Clay Mask[products]#[FourStars] Following this, I use MARIO BADESCU - Cucumber Cleansing Lotion plus spot treatment: PAULA'S CHOICE - REGULAR STRENGTH DAILY SKIN CLEARING TREATMENT WITH 2.5% BENZOYL PEROXIDE & 8% their AHA gel exfoliant. *
~ Usually I’d use a sulfur soap... (first time using soap). Following that I use a good bacteria gel, with ingredients like: Willow Bark Extract, Niacinamide,Clove Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Allantoin. Next I use a Retinol & Collagen cream, I let that absorb of course... Next I apply an Acne Spot Treatment with ingredients such as:
”Resveratrol”- balances good bacteria. ;
Calamine: keeps sebum production in check, helping to prevent future blemishes
Clover Oil: clear cystic acne, reducing swelling as it kills infection.
Following the application of this spot treatment I let it absorb & follow up with another spot treatment, however it has 20% sulfur & zinc....
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
