XMONDO Wavetech Foam Review
The XMONDO Wavetech foam definitely surprised me. This foam claims to define waves/curls while keeping them bouncy and soft. After using it on both my curly hair and my straight hair, I can confirm that this is one on my new go-to’s. I love using this foam on my curls because it defines them without adding the crunch. Not to mention this is one of the best smelling hair products I own. I recently started using it to smooth down my wigs as well and it’s been performing great in that area too. Now $27 for a foam is quite expensive in my opinion. It is cruelty free, sulfate and vegan, so you are paying for a quality product. However, there are other foams on the market that have the same ingredients, work well for my hair, and aren’t as expensive. I was gifted this item but I don’t think I would repurchase it solely because of how expensive it is. Overall, this is a great product and if it’s in your budget I would definitely recommend it.
I’ve come to discover over the years that one of the most underrated hair styling products is hairspray. I think that people are intimidated by it or they think you only use it for special occasions (when you curl your hair or put it up in an up-do). However, hairspray is a great everyday product that most people can benefit from in their styling routine. The first step is finding the right hairspray! My new personal favorite is O&M’s Original Queenie Firm Hold Hairspray. The number one reason why it’s my new fav is that its clean beauty product which can be hard to find in an aerosol hairspray. This product is cruelty-free, PETA approved, and formulated without gluten, triclosan, MIT, and propylene glycol. It also has Sephora’s “Clean at Sephora” seal of approval. Queenie contains Australian native active lilly pilly which helps control oil in the hair leaving it looking shiny and clean as well as extending the style. Although the name says firm hold, I still find the formula flexible, not sticky. My favorite way to use this hairspray is to spray your hands with a little Queenie and then gently smooth all the frizzy hairs along your part, I then take my hands and use the rest to smooth and define my ends. After that I give my hair an all over spritz because this hairspray smells AMAZING and holds my curls or straightening all day!
The temptation is real sometimes!
If I were to tell myself 3 years ago that I would put down the flat iron, I would’ve looked at you like you were crazy. And here we are almost 2 years of being natural and it’s done wonders for the health of my hair 💪🏽
Trying Aiir’s dry texture mousse!
Y’all...you read that right, DRY TEXTURE MOUSSE!! This is a cross between a dry shampoo and a texture spray and I am obsessed. All you do is rub it together into a cream and apply to your roots and blow dry it! Not only does it: ✨refresh your roots ✨add grip to your hair for styling ✨add volume BUT IT ALSO SMELLS SOOOOO GOOD. I honestly don’t think I’ve smelt a better smelling product. It truly is one of the best products I’ve tested out. I workout every morning at 4am and go straight to school to work with kids all day so I don’t have time for a full wash but I do have time for this! Now it’s your time to try it! Game Changing Curly Hair Product!!
I picked up the CURLSMITH - In-Shower Style Fixer from Ulta on a whim. I'm not a one product type of girl, I need leave-in conditioner, oils, gels, curl butters the whole thing BUT sometimes I don't have the time or energy for all that. I wanted to try this out because it doesn't have any of the things I don't want in my hair (sulphates, parabens, silicones, mineral oils or phthalates) and does have a bunch of good things - rose of Jericho, raw aloe vera, avocado. It claims to have strong hold, high definition and be anti-frizz. I washed and conditioned my hair, then followed the directions on the bottle: 1. On soaking wet hair apply a dime sized amount (obviously I used more than this) 2. Rub betweens palms and apply to sections of hair using praying hands method 3. Scrunch and air dry 4. Once completely dry scrunch again to break the cast Now I have defined, frizz free hair and it only took one step! So if you're a curly girl with out the patience or time to apply and lather product through your hair, this is definitely something to check out!

Dealing with curly, thick, dry hair...
Hi friends! I have had thick, curly, dry hair for my whole life. Bleaching it definitely added to the dryness and frizziness! Because my hair is so dry, I NEVER use hot tools on it, nor do I ever blow dry. Air drying is key for this hair type—especially if you have a wall of dense, thick hair like me! When air drying, first I’ll let my hair chill after the shower for about an hour (towel drying is NOT a thing with thick hair lmaooo) so my roots are less damp but my ends are still soaked. Then, I’ll take a quarter sized amount of a curl styling cream (today I’m using the Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream — it is so good for my curls and inexpensive) and finger comb it through my hair. This prevents tangles and knots from forming. Then, to make sure the product is evenly dispersed i will wet my hands with water and finger comb back through. To keep my hair out of my face while it’s air drying, I’ll usually clip or pin it back with bobby pins. 24 hours later through the humidity my hair is less frizzy than it should be, but the leave in curl cream is still in there so you can refresh your curls by finger combing again with wet hands! This cream lets me have my hair styled like this for the whole week before I wash again! What’s your main tip for thick, frizzy, curly hair?

✨ Thick Hairstyles - Second Day Hair ✨
I have thick hair that easily gets frizzy, especially second day hair (or third, or fourth, depends how long I don’t wash it for lol). I typically only wash my hair every 2-4 days (depending on the type of activity I do that day, like exercise or go get groceries or just work on schoolwork). To allow my hair to last longer, I’ll usually use these hairstyles and products so that I can deal with the frizz. I love doing half-up hairstyles anytime I wash my hair, but especially when my hair starts to get frizzy! I hate when my hair gets all over my face. I usually do either a simple ponytail that’s holds the top half of my hair. I also like doing a ponytail with a braid, but that can be a little more difficult because you can’t see the back of your head as well or make sure the braid is straight and doesn’t start going to the side lol. After I finish the braid, I kind of tug/pull it apart so that it looks thicker. Another options is to just throw it into a messy bun on the back of your head! I like to use a spray leave-in conditioner to help nourish my hair and hairspray to lock them. This hairstyle also looks really cute with a headband to keep flyaways out of your face. . dpHUE - Apple Cider Vinegar Leave-in Hair Therapy Key Ingredients: Apple Cider Vinegar (restores healthy pH to smooth the hair surface and seal the cuticle, quickly absorbs into hair to provide weightless conditioning), Argan Oil, Macademia Oil, Dandelion Extract and Aloe Vera (moisturize, condition, and add shine without weighing hair down). Scent: Apple Cider Vinegar Consistency/Texture: Lightweight Spray Price: $30 for 6.5 oz / 192 mL Experience: This has a very strong scent, but it does dissipate quickly. I haven’t noticed much in terms of conditioning or frizz control, but it’s a decent product. It has a minimal amount, but I don’t think I’d purchase the full size unless it was on sale. It doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it look greasy, which was why I gave it 3 stars. Other than that, it doesn’t deliver much and the scent is not something I enjoy. It’s an average leave-in product, I’ll use it up but probably wouldn’t recommend or repurchase it (unless it’s half off or more). . REDKEN - Triple Take 32 Extreme High-Hold Hairspray Scent: Strong hairspray smell Consistency/Texture: Can leave behind a crunchy feel on the hair Price: $12 for 4 oz / 115 g OR $24 for 9 oz / 255 g Experience: It says it gives root lift and volume, but I haven’t used it for that purpose. I usually just use it to set a hairstyle into place and it works great for that! It can leave behind a stiff and crunchy feeling in the hair if you use too much, but it gives a great hold. I can use this in the morning and expect my hairstyle to last the whole day and not droop or get any flyaways or frizz. The nozzle is nice and gives a fine mist that is easy to control. It doesn’t leave my hair dry or make it knotty when I try to brush it out.
