ยฐI absolutely LOVE snail mucin creams. They're known for being very hydrating and depending on which one you purchase, are also known for being safe/great on sensitive skin! I found my first snail product a couple years ago and decided to switch to a better known brand MIZON - All-in-One Snail Repair Cream BIG MISTAKE! This gel/cream has a silky, sheer and slippery texture. little is needed to evenly spread onto the face and neck area. It absorbs fairly quickly and dries down to a matte finish. Ok your probably thinking, "what's the problem," at this point, right? It's waaay too drying. It dries down to a matte finish almost as if my face drank an entire cup of water and was still thirsty. It enlarged my pores instantly and when I opened my mouth or raised my eyebrows I could feel how tight the gel/ cream made my skin. In the picture you can see redness around my mouth from just opening anf closing it. This might be great for very oily and sensitive skin types.
ยฐThis one is NOT for dry skin. IMO
I gave 2 stars because I like the slippery, non fragranced texture.
ยฐPros: slippery texture, small product amount needed per use, no fragrance, no color, 92% snail mucin, product lasts a long time, very affordable, can be found easily online.
ยฐCons (for ME, could work for YOU): dries to a matte finish, too drying, enlarges pores, skin feels uncomfortably tight.
I will be looking into purchasing a different snail cream since I really liked my original snail cream but I want a snail product with more UUMFFF to it! Any suggestions would be great!

Rosacea/enlarged pores/blemishes
Hi beautiful ladies,
This is my skin.
I am sorry for the partial pictures, I am too embarrassed to post my full face.
I was diagnosed with rosacea (some redness but mostly red papules which never go away), have enlarged clogged pores especially on my nose and forehead, combo skin, blemishes, sun spots, uneven texture and so on...
This is currently my routine that helped a lot with reducing the amount of red blemishes and made my skin smooth (like butter according to this app :) although my rosacea is mostly gone, I feel very self conscious about its appearance. I included some pictures of how my skin used to look with a rosacea flare up.
Here is what I use now:
1. Cleanser with sulfur (prescribed by dermatologist)
2. ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner very hydrating, smoothing the skin.
3. I just added Elizavecca - Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid Serum feels smooth, does not irritate my skin however it is too early to say if itโs doing anything to my pores. Before this I used serum with niacinamid.
4. dear, klairs - Rich Moist Soothing Cream my skin loves this cream even though it might be a little heavy for the summer.
At night I sometimes add azelaic acid (prescribed) or soolantra (prescribed) but more for a spot treatment as I have been using it for the whole year now and I think it helped a lot with smoothing the skin.
Sometimes I use MIZON - All-in-One Snail Repair Cream which I like just because it does not irritate my skin and feels like it reduces shining in my t- zone area
Or I use SKE DERM - Snail Jelly Mask which is amazing! I wake up after this mask with soft and plump skin.
Once a week I use Cetaphil - Pro DermaControl Purifying Clay Mask but I donโt think it exfoliates my skin enough however it is gentle and my skin does feel good after this mask.
However, my skin issues are still obvious and I would like to get any advices on how to deal with it.

I do tend to switch up serums and moisturizers depending on if I exfoliated that day, or did a chemical peel, or if my skin is feeling dry. But this is the main routine I stick to. Murad is my fav brand.
ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm - This is a great cleansing balm I received in my BeautyFix Box. It Deep cleans and dissolves makeup, including my waterproof mascara and has anti aging benefits. It contains Chamomile, Rosehip oil, Lactic acid and other Essential oils.
EMMA HARDIE - Moringa Light Cleansing Gel - Another product I got from a BeautyFix box, this is more of a gel like oil cleanser instead of a balm which I like. It also removes my mascara and is packed with skin loving essential oils
dr. brandt - Clean Biotic - This is a PH balanced yogurt cleanser with chlorophyll. Chlorophyll stimulates anti aging enzymes and encourages nourished youthful skin, it also repairs sun damage and fights free radicals. Itโs a creamy texture that doesnโt foam up which I love. Has antioxidants like Green tea, white tea and Grapeseed extract. Itโs very soothing.
exuviance - Anti-Pollution Protection Essence - This Essence targets the skins microbiome to help re-balance and strengthen the skins moisture barrier. Also has ingredients and antioxidants to neutralize the visible aging effects due to stressors like pollution. Itโs very light almost like water, I take about 5 drops and press it into my skin.
Murad - Essential-C Toner - Refreshing mist with antioxidants that brightens the skin and replenishes moisture. I do use this before my Essence. Has a very citrusy smell and comes in a spray bottle which I like opposed to pouring out the toner.
Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Serum - Fast acting retinol serum that minimizes fine lines, firms, evens skin tone, and boots radiance. It has a technology that releases a fast acting retinol, a time released retinol and a retinol booster. It also has hydrating ingredients like Hyaluronic acid to minimize dryness.
Murad - Renewing Eye Cream - A nourishing eye cream that firms and brightens and targets signs of aging. It has Peptides and Retinol to increase elasticity and a brightening complex for dark circles. Love how thick this eye cream is, Iโve seen a difference in my dark circles, and fine lines.
Murad - Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture - Cream with advanced hyaluronic acid technology provides 24 hour hydration, restores suppleness and reduces fine lines. Coconut extract helps provide enhanced moisture retention. I love thick extra hydrating night creams and nothing compares to this.
Murad - Night Fix Enzyme Treatment - Accelerates nighttime skin repair,and visibly minimizes fine lines. Skin loses water 3x faster at night, works with the bodyโs circadian rhythm. Def a great extra step.

I am a sucker for a product with Centella in it as it helps soothe irritated skin.

LuLuLun - Face Mask Pink I absolutely love LuLuLun masks because they decrease single-use plastic. In one bag, there are a total of (7) sheet masks that is loaded with essenceโnot to the point of it dripping down your face but just enough for it to saturate your skin. It has never given me any problems, other than the occasional tingle sensation after an AHA/BHA session (so hence 4/5 stars(. It leaves my face feeling moisturized and hydrated. The morning after using this, my skin looks so much more radiant and dewy.
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration this is amazing! I love how lightweight, fast-absorbing, and moisturizing this cream is. It was perfect for my entire body, especially dry areas like my elbows and feet. Absolutely. Perfect.
FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm frankly, this cleansing balm was just okay. It was super smooth but felt very thin so it didnโt feel like it was cleaning my skin. I guess Iโm just used to thicker consistencies for my cleansing oils. Also to back-up my claims of it not cleansing well: I noticed more blackheads than usual and my pores felt clogged. So I donโt think this oil dissolved many impurities and sebum. Kind of glad to have finished it.
Muddy Body - Detox Clay Mask overall, an amazing clay mask that does a great job at cleaning my pores. A bit drying, but thatโs the norm for masks with clay.

I DEW CARE-Cake My Day Hydrating Sprinkle Wash-Off Mask
paiskincare is a brand that I had been wanting to experience for a while
Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser - This is good for combination, dry, sensitive skin types, and even those with rosacea. I suffer from eczema patches on my cheeks every now and then and this has helped to reduce the redness when they appear. It also leaves my skin feeling like silk! It keeps my skin super hydrated which will be great for this winter. The cloth that it comes with really enhances the benefits of this cleanser and is conveniently hand washable! I got the biggest size that it comes in so it will definitely last me all fall and winter! ๐

Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream - This cream is mostly for those with dry/sensitive skin. Itโs designed to soothe visible flare-ups and irritation while providing extra moisture to the skin. It has definitely helped with reducing redness and keeping my skin looking healthy. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey! Other than that, it does what itโs supposed to! ๐

Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil - This probably one of their most popular products (of course, I had to try it) and I am sure youโve seen or heard about it by now! It is formulated for all skin types and can be used after cleansing. You could also do what I do and add a few drops of it to the day cream for an extra boost! Rosehip seed oil really makes my skin glow, which is why I love it! I would recommend this oil if you havenโt tried a rosehip oil yet!

Amorepacific Treatment Cleansing Oil and the Treatment Cleansing Foam
I love oil cleansing -- especially oils in pump bottles.The oil isn't thin or thick, but a happy medium, and it has the silkiest consistency that works perfectly for a facial massage without any friction. It cleaned out my gently but tholy.
The foaming cleanser is likewise just that extra little bit creamier, fluffier, and richer than you would expect. A tiny bit creates a thick, cushiony foam, and once washed off, the moisturizing ingients in the wash left my face feeling super soft and hydrated.
I'm generally in the lowphcleanser club, and when I tested this, my pH strips seemed to show it between a 6 and 7 (I think a little closer to 7). So while it's not super low pH, it is still mild. I did not experience any tightness at all, and especially at this time of year when my is pretty dry, that's impressive.
Both products have the signature AmorePacific scent (a slightly detergenty fragrance), but they're both lightly scented and not overpowering. Overall a really nice set of functional products that are also super luxe.

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha
Youth to the people did it again... thereโs honestly no product I dislike from this brand. I got this mini Adaptogen mist in a set with their Adaptogen moisturizer and I love both! I will be purchasing both full sizes once I run out. This mist is super fine, but not the annoying kind where you donโt even feel it on your skin. Itโs watery but kind of milky if that makes sense and I love to use it as a toner but also throughout the day if my skin feels a little dry or I just want a little pick me up. It helps with my redness immediately and calms my skin so much. Overtime I do think that it helped prevent some of my redness which I love. The only thing is that I kind of use a lot of it and run out pretty quick, but thatโs worth it for me. I think everyone should try this and honestly all their other products. Iโll always keep a mini in my purse and car!

A winner for oily skin
Iโve been working my way through this sample of the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer and wanted to let you all know what I thought (+snap some picks before itโs completely gone ๐). I subbed this into my morning routine in place of my regular YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream about two weeks ago and have been very impressed with it! Iโll probably stick with my yttp moving forward because my skin is a tiny bit drier, but this moisturizer would be a hero product if I was even a little bit oilier.
From Biossance: calms and reduces redness leaving skin more balanced ๐ improves and maintains hydration ๐ reduces the appearance of pore size
Ingredient highlights:
-probiotics (help with redness)
-squalane (biossanceโs star product that is an amazing hydrator)
-red seaweed (for stressed skin)
-ginger extract (for redness and irritation)
-cress sprouts (have people heard of this?!?! Itโs new to me! Anyway, according to biossance it brightens and evens skin tone)
From me:
-gel texture with a faintly medicinal scent that sinks in immediately
-feels very lightweight and fresh on my face with no dryness
-very soothing, calming moisturizer. I didnโt use it long enough to tell, but I definitely believe that this would help with redness
-ok so having spent my life looking for a lightweight moisturizer I never thought Iโd say this, but this is too light for me! If I had super oily skin though, I would be all over the full size, but with my combo skin I would use this only for summer mornings when Iโm the oiliest
