Help! Dry curly hair. Prone to itchy scalp.
So I try taking care of my boyfriends curly hair because he is clueless when it comes to caring for it. If he could use men and shoulders everyday, he would. His hair is generally very dry and VERY prone to matting. It’s to the point where when he showers, he can’t distribute conditioner properly through his hair because of the blocks of matted hair he gets. I try to keep up, but it seems like it only takes a day before his hair starts tangling and matting together. On his wash days, his shampoo varies because I try to get him to use good curly hair products but he gets VERY dry scalp. To the point where he can’t stop itching his head and his scalp gets red and flaky. When this happens, the only thing that helps is Head and Shoulders Dry and Itchy scalp care. Since he normally uses such a drying shampoo, I make him use SheaMoisture - Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Conditioner After he showers, I de tangle his hair with ogx - Pracaxi Oil Deeply Restoring Recovery Combing Cream and a paddle brush. I know I know. Curly hair shouldn’t be brushed with something like that but his hair gets so incredibly matted that if I use anything else it either a) breaks or b) doesn’t even penetrate his hair deep enough to de tangle. I guess my question is, what do I do? And what products should I look into? Any techniques I should try to diminish the matting?

Need help !
This is my hair with no product in it and just washed it last night. I need to buy a really good shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. I have oily, curly, colored from brown to blonde, frizzy, thin hair. I also have a few split ends and fall out and a itchy scalp. I have been recommended to use Palmers, ogx, Maui, matrix and I’m not sure which one would be better. Please help me !!!!

Hello everyone! This isn’t the usual product review. Just looking for some helpful hair tips. Recently I have noticed more and more bald spots in my hair. My hair used to be very thick to the point I actually had to go once a month and get it thinned out at a salon because I couldn’t manage. A little background on why this is happening : I have struggled with an eating disorder on and off for around 7 years. Ive never had it affect my skin and hair like it has but It’s gotten to the point where I can run my fingers through and clumps fall out. I know the obvious answer is to fix my diet and take vitamins. But seeing as though doing so is not so easy for me :(, anyone have any hair strengthening products? Or if not,any products that help hide bald spots? First pic is my hair now and 2nd pic was my hair before. Any help is appreciated. Please refrain from leaving any mean or obvious comments. I’m trying to get help and recover. Just super hard at the moment 💔
