Picked Comments: Use the Right Moisturizer
Using moisturizer is a crucial step to amp up your skincare routine, and choosing the right one based on different skin types and skincare concerns is not that easy🤩. There has been lots of Cherie users in our community using and recommodating different types of moisturizer, and we truly appreciate their effort to make these super useful comments🥰. @marijf “The one problem I have with Body Shop is that they tend to formulate with tons of fragrance, which can be irritating. A great cheap treatment for acne, dark marks, and pores is Differin gel: however do research before you use it. Some good moisturizers might be any of CeraVe and La Roche Posay’s. They’re easy to find, and work great for oily skin. In my opinion toners aren’t necessary, but if you really want one, the Hada Labo Premium Gold Lotion might work. But only apply it to damp skin since it contains hyaluronic acid. And you mentioned not wearing moisturizer and SPF everyday, as time consuming as it is, you probably should be. By moisturizing the skin, it won’t overproduce oil (our skins pretty smart), and UVA/UVB rays come through our windows, not to mention blue light from electronics. Best of luck!! @lilig "I always believe that moisture is the key to everyone's skincare routine. But TBH I am willing to spend too much on moisturizers as it only needs to satisfy one simple need. I'd rather save some money and spend more on serum and makeup😂 (just my personal feelings lol). So sis, let me introduce you some of my fav cheaper but EXCELLENT moisturizers! The Cetaphil Oil Absorbing moisturizer is super lightweight, and it has its some sort of magical technology that can help absorb excess oil on the surface of the skin. So it won't be too skicky or oily. And it's only $15!! Buy it sis!!" For other Cherie members, feel free to comment below and talk about your choice of moisturizer. If You Have Oily Skin, You Can't Miss Out This Perfect Combo✔✔
This is definitely the best skincare combo, especially suitable for oily skin. I recommend it to all of you. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed! Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner This is already my second bottle. It's gentle, cooling, and not at all sticky. It also helps to ease acne, so it's especially suitable for oily, acne-prone skin. I've tried using Origin's Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion before, but it felt sticky and uncomfortable on my skin so I never repurchased it. Kiehl's Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner is completely alcohol-free. It cleanses, soothes, and improves problem areas. Using it as a toner mask helps maintain your skin's oil and water balance, promoting the healing of acne wounds. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration It's very suitable for sensitive, acne-prone skin. Its main ingredients are mostly natural extracts: ceramide, shea butter, oat extracts, etc. It's incredibly moisturizing, offers a fantastic ability to repair skin, soothes skin flushing, and reduces acne inflammation. I usually emulsify it between my palms first before pressing it onto my skin. It's absorbed quickly and doesn't cause acne breakouts. It's known as La Mer's drugstore alternative. What's your fav skincare combo?😉😉

Why I can’t stop using this moisturizer ✨
This is my favorite inexpensive night time moisturizer and here’s why it should be yours, too! Why it’s awesome: it is lightweight and easy on the skin while being very effective for dry skin. I have acne prone skin and I use this after my more drying products and it keeps me hydrated all night. it is not fragranced, but it still smells amazing! I still love a fresh scent in my skin care. this moisturizer is super inexpensive and I got it off amazon! it’s easy to include into your routine. works for all skin types! *I use at night only because it isn’t an spf moisturizer* Simple - Water Boost Gel Cream Comes in a small and larger size so you don’t have to commit to a full product if you’re just giving it a try! I paid about $6 on amazon.

Oily-Skin Friendly Water Cream for Autumn/Winter
Why hello Klairs Fundamental Water Gel Cream! Kindly sent to me by Wishtrend. Klairs is a brand that’s been on my radar but for some reason I haven’t tried any of their products until now. I applied to be a #WTBeautyTester for this product when I first laid eyes on the inkey list. It contains some of my favourite ingredients including 67.3% green tea water, panthenol, rice extract, centella, and mugwort. The claims are bang on. This is a lightweight yet nourishing gel cream. It’s easy to layer and absorbs quickly. I love the soft, runny texture - it has a liquid condensed milk consistency and applies like a dream! It’s super easy to spread, absorbs immediately, and sets to a slightly dewy finish with no stickiness. It wears comfortably as a stand alone moisturizer during the day, or applied in a generous layer to become a sleeping mask. I have very oily, acne-prone & sensitive skin due to retinoid use and have a hard time finding the right moisturizer since I can’t use anything with shea butter or rich emollients. I was a little worried the Ethylhexyl Palmitate would be comedogenic, but after a week of use, this did not clog my pores or trigger any breakouts. This did not cause any irritation and seemed to even out some redness. My skin felt softer, healthier, and more balanced. My only 2 critiques was that this can feel a touch too nourishing only when I layered thicker serums underneath during a hot, humid day. Also I would prefer this in a pump package since the runny texture can be hard to get out of the jar. Regardless, I am enjoying using this and will continue to use it year round since it is so easy to layer for a thicker occlusion during the colder months. **update, I have a few clogged pores while using this, it may just be from increased humidity in my area. I was only using this at night, but have stopped using this. I’ll likely revisit this cream when the summer ends. **new update: I have introduced this back into my nighttime routine for the past month since the weather is colder and it has been very helpful at improving my barrier health and keeping my skin balanced. Also have not experienced clogged pores or breakouts. I think this can definitely work for oily, acne prone skins in a dryer, colder climate.

K-beauty skincare: my first love
Korean skincare was my gateway into the world of skincare and I couldn’t be more thankful! Today I’m featuring a tried and true product that works for my sensitive skin. The product: It’s a lightweight emulsion that is fragrance free and especially beneficial for sensitive skin types! It won’t irritate or worsen any skin conditions because of the minimal yet soothing ingredients list. The consistency is like a water cream and goes onto the skin feeling like a burst of hydration. My honest opinion: I used this product last year when my skin was super clear and decided to recently repurchase it, hoping it will be my saving grace once again! I love it but I do recognize that it might not work for drier skin types since it isn’t very occlusive. On the other hand, I think it could make a great layer. I’d highly recommend it to oily + sensitive/acne-prone skin types. I think it’s worth the price since it’s about $16 and lasted me for at least 3 months. #Etude House - Soonjung 10-Free Moist Emulsion[products]#[FiveStars] #Etude House - Soonjung 10-Free Moist Emulsion[products]#[FiveStars]

A Simple Morning Routine with a View 🏙
Since moving to Honolulu, the name of the game has been hydration! Despite what you would think about tropical climates, it’s not unusual for hot and humid weather to dry you out with UV rays and dehydration. So I’ve really whittled down my morning routine to 3 steps (and a coffee, of course!) CLEANSE: MARIO BADESCU - Enzyme Cleansing Gel I’ve been using this cleanser every morning for the last month and I saw results after the first wash! It’s a super gentle non-foaming cleanser claims to gently buff away oil and impurities while papaya and grapefruit extracts brighten. My skin actually glows after cleansing with this! It’s sulfate, pthalate and paraben free, making it the perfect morning cleanser for my dry sensitive babes! Highly recommend this as a staple on your shelf. TONE: fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner I just bought this toner, but I am loving it so far! Most toners leave my skin feeling tight and itchy and this does none of that! It’s gentle and my skin feels nice and soft and smooth when I use it, plus it smells amazing! Rose is one of the few scents that doesn’t irritate my allergies, so I’m definitely going to make it a regular. HYDRATE: Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer This moisturizer has lived on my shelf since I was 16 years old and I don’t plan on getting rid of it any time soon. Though I admit it falls by the wayside sometimes, it’s tried-and-true for me and when i need a reset I always go back to it. It’s so lightweight and soothing, the product sinks right into my skin with zero residue and leaves behind a smooth, soft surface. It’s perfect when my face is feeling just a little dry and needs a mid day refresh. I usually have to put a layer on, wait 5 min, and apply a second time to my cheeks because the formula is so lightweight and I need just a little more hydration. But for only $15 it’s well worth it!

Tips For Combination Skincare You Need To Know
Combination skin in is where your skin is oily in the forehead, chin and T-zone area (nose). But you may found your cheeks and other parts of the face very dry. Combination skin is like falls between oily and dry skin groups. It is caused by the overproduction of oil in some areas while the dry parts have less oil glands and moisture. Basically it is the imbalance of oil and hydration. Many people in this group would focus too much on Oil-control. Hydration is the priority and main cause and what we should actually focus on. Here are a few tips I want to share with combination skin. Stay balanced is the main purpose of our group who falls between oily and dry. Nice and tight moisturized. It has amazing ingredients and vitamin skin. Here is my skin care menu A.M.: Cleanser -> Toner -> Moisturizer or Day cream (Lightweight)-> Sunscreen (Zinc Oxide) P.M. Cleansing Gel -> Toner -> Serum -> Moisturizer On a weekly basis I would do 2 clay masks and face oil twice a day. Do’s From a wash off process as the first step in the skin care process, I would prefer a gel-based non-fragrance and non-foaming cleanser. I also prefer non-irritating ones. Don’ts When you have combination skin, it’s important to go with a gentle cleansing product that is not too harsh. Do not skip SPF. Wear sunscreen and always protect your skin from UV light for extra damage on cells. Here are two of my favorite timers that I love to use through out the year. they are both very light weighted and gentle. Light toners keep my skin calm and stable from acne outbreak or dryness. ORIGINS - Dr. Andrew Weil For Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion Limited Edition I use this after the facial cleanser. A little goes a long way. It gives an extra boost of hydration. Overall promotes really good balance and skin health. CAUDALIE - CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir This elixir really helps you feel fresh, clean, and pampered. I LOVE the slight herbal smell.
