🤔How to Save Your Dark Spots?
Bebes, I'm not gonna lie, dark spots are so hard to deal with. They can be caused by excess sun exposure, acne, or even hormonal changesis - literally one of the most difficult skin problems to get rid of. But babes, don't worry - take a look at these super useful tips on saving your dark spots, and I guarantee you -- these tips work! You got this! @MatthewBorst "First of all, don’t be so hard on yourself your complexion is not horrible at all!! Definitely listen to everyone’s advice about using a daily SPF! It will prevent your current dark spots from getting darker and prevent new ones. It’s also sooo important to wear SPF daily (even when inside) when you’re using strong acids. Also check out the Inkey List’s Vitamin C + EGF serum which will help brighten/even out the complexion (vitamin c) and will also stimulate new cell growth beneath the surface (from the EGF) which is important after using strong acids. Consistency is key - you got this!" @Kim_Seung “For dark spots I recommend using The ordinary Niacinamide 10% Zinc 1% this product is really great for oily skin. And it’s specifically for dark spots/Hyper pigmentation. It has niacinamide which helps sooth the skin and also Help brighten dark spots. Zinc is also a really great ingredient if you want to get rid of hyper pigmentation. You can get it at Ulta or Sephora. ($5) Or if you prefer vitamin c serum: Hyper skin Brightening Vitamin C serum. This product uses absorbic acid which is the most stable form of vitamin c. To help with Hyper pigmentation/dark spots. It also contains Aloe Vera to help reduce sensitivity. And a bunch more Plant extracts. ($36) Or if you want a cheaper Vitamin c serum. Naturium: Vitamin C Complex 22% this also contains Absorbic acid whic is the most stable form of vitamin c. It also contains Papaya extract to Gently exfoliate your skin. These are just recommendations that will work for Majority of people. Everyone’s skin is different and unique!💜” Oh and I forgot to add that Getting rid of dark spots takes time. Give it a few months before actually getting the results you want. But if that doesn’t work I would recommend micro needling. But have it done by a Professional because you can mess up your skin if you buy one online. ✊Save Your Facial Redness
Facial redness...ughh...I just CAN NOT believe how hard it is to get rid of facial redness🤯. Facial redness can be caused by a host of conditions, such as sun damage, seborrhea, and rosacea. But cuties, it is not impossible to get rid of it😏. @Mallory “You should look into lactic acid! It’s amazing for dry skin. Like skin should definitely be exfoliated once a week and that will help with the bumps. As for the redness I’d look into niacinamide. I had redness as well and the Good Molecules niacinamide toner has helped me so much! And it’s only $12 (they have a serum as well I love for $6). I have a post about niacinamide and it’s benefits for redness. CeraVe is really good line as well because it’s not going to have any bad ingredients and it’s super gentle but you’re going to want to slowly introduce actives into your routine to start addressing your concerns. 🖤” @Blyssey_CBE "Redness can be from a variety of reasons! Rosascea, thinner skin, sensitive skin or an impaired barrier. Anytime the skin is red it’s always best to calm and soothe it. Avoid alcohol, fragrances, sulfates and exfoliating. Use gentle products like a cleansing milk or cream cleanser. :)" @normas “As a person with sensitive skin and redness, it is important for me to develop good skin care habits. Of course, I have been paying attention to anti-inflammatory ingredients. If you are interested, I will be happy to share it with you. 🤍Red myrrh alcohol: It is anti-irritant and can protect the skin. This ingredient is extracted from chrysanthemums (Chamomile also has good anti-inflammatory effects). It has good compatibility with the skin to prevent acne and repair inflammation damaged skin. 🤍Centella asiatica(Cica): Asiaticoside has a certain role in promoting the vitality of fibroblasts in the skin, which can help accelerate skin healing, reduce inflammation and calm. 🧐Niacinamide - Your Skin Savior?
Niacinamide always sounds super mysterious to me🧐, some people claimed it to be a cure-all medicine that can tighten lax pores, minimize enlarged pores, improve uneven skin tone, and soften fine lines. But this obviously sounds too crazy for me - I need to hear from some of my fellow beauty experts in our Cherie community to understand why we use niacinamide and how to use it😆. @Skinsitive“I would give Niacinamide a try if you still experience redness/sensitivity. It’s very soothing and helps maintain a healthy skin barrier and soothe skin. It’s very gentle. I love Paula’s Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster but the Inkey List’s Niacinamide Serum is also good.” @Chri0312“Hey girl, we have the same holy grail product abt Niacinamide! And there is no problem with the product combo in your routine, because niacinamide cannot be used at the same time with VC and acid products. However, 10% nicotinamide is considered a high concentration, be careful next time! Niacinamide is a derivative of the vitamin B, which can reduce surface cell transfer, thereby interfering with pigmentation and promoting metabolism. When the concentration reaches 5%, it will also have a positive effect on chloasma. BTW, Which new moisturizer did u buy?” @Skinsitive“For reducing bumpy texture from congestion, I’d check out niacinamide (Paula’s Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster is my fave) and salicylic acid (Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid is my holy grail). For serums to lighten hyperpigmentation and dark spots, it’s hard beat the combo of alpha arbutin and vitamin c (the Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alphq Arbutin 2%), but I saw the fastest results from azelaic acid (Paula’s Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster).” Alright, now I know much more about niacinamide. But girl, never be satified with your current skin care knowledge, so leave your comments below and let's help each other to learn more about niacinamide😎. 👀👀👀 Don't forget to follow your best friend CheriePick, an official Cherie account, to interact with other Cherie members and get the best content in the community.
