ARE YOUR MAKE UP TOOLS CAUSING YOUR BREAKOUTS?🤔
There are so many beauty tools out there to help us apply our makeup and give us a flawless finish, but could the tools we use be affecting the appearance of our skin? ⚡️Make-up Sponges: Makeup sponges make it easy to blend our makeup and apply face powders but they are pools for bacteria! Makeup and water can build up inside of make up sponges. Even mold can accumulate inside of the sponge without us knowing. The bacteria from makeup sponges can cause breakouts. ⚡️Oval Make-up Brush: These brushes are super dense with tons of bristles. While they make applying foundation and other creamy makeup easy dirt and makeup can get stuck inside the bristles and can be very hard to clean. This can cause build up of bacteria in the brush which can cause breakouts ⚡️Traditional Make-up Brush: A regular make up brush are not exempt from bacteria but because they are much less dense they are easier to clean. For foundation and concealer brushes we should be washing them a minimum of once a week and eyeshadow and eyeliner brushes should be cleaned at least twice a month to avoid build up and the accumulation of bacteria. ⚡️Silicone Blenders: These blenders are not porous so you maximize whatever product you are applying with it. It has a slick surface so it is easy to clean with soap and water or a makeup wipe. You don’t have to worry about bacteria getting inside of this beauty tool and causing breakouts. ⚡️How to clean brushes: 1. Wet the bristles with lukewarm water. 2. Place a drop of your cleanser of choice into the palm of your clean hand. 3. Gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm. 4. Rinse the bristles thoroughly. 5. Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel. 6. Re-form the brush head back into its original shape. 7. Let the brush dry with its bristles hanging off the edge of the counter which allows it to dry in the correct shape. Never let your brushes dry on a towel — the bristles can turn mildewy. ⚡️How to clean make-up sponges: There are so many ways to wash a make-up sponge. You can throw it in the washing machine and wash with soap and water but the way I feel like I get the best clean is in the microwave to zap away bacteria. 1. Make soap and water mixture in microwave safe cup 2. Fully submerge sponge into mixture 3. Heat in microwave for about a minute 4. Rinse under clean water and squeeze out remnants of makeup 5. Let air dry Verdict: I think silicone blenders are the best for your skin and the most sanitary of the beauty tools but if you prefer other tools just make sure you clean them frequently and properly to avoid skin irritation and breakouts.
Konjac sponges and why you need one
Konjac sponges are my favorite facial cleansing tool. And I’m honestly surprised to not see them all over Cherie. I’ve used them for maybe 8 years now and I thought they would be more popular. My favorite is the charcoal one but you can find other colors the have other benefits. But they “benefits” only last so long because they was out. You’re cleansers will be extra foamy while using this miracle sponge and it’s also great at removing makeup! These little sponges are vegan and 100% compostable when you remove the string for hanging. They pretty much buff your face while you’re cleansing I never use my hands to wash my face, konjac sponge or nothing! It’s made completely from konjac root, they were initially made for a gentle sponge to use on baby skin so it’s even great for sensitive skin. Since they’re made from a root they do start to break down naturally after about 3 months and have to be changed out but they’re really not that expensive if you buy them from amazon, i use the brand Mayberry health and home. It’s a pack of 6 dehydrated individually wrapped for 16$ You have to be careful and make so you don’t buy pre-hydrated ones because they can harbor bacteria. And they only take about 5 minutes to re-hydrate under running water You’re welcome!
LeTan the best Tan!
This fake tan is the best I’ve found on the market so far or it’s price point. You can choose a violet base, green base and normal base. I choose the green base as I reflect a lot of orange, so this means that the green tone will counteract any orange.
A fun way to push my skill limit. I used my friends pallet that I am promoting and my own personal lashes to create this look. If either product catches your eye fee free to reach out!

Best eyelash curler: Shiseido
The Shiseido eye lash curler is my all time favorite curler because it has enough tension to really make your lashes pop with minimal effort. Mascara looks better and seems to hold up longer when I use this curler first. It’s an odd tool to rave about but when your lashes are a decent length but not naturally curled, or makes a big difference! The Shiseido curler claims to work on any eye shape or size and I found this to be true. If you find that most drugstore curlers don’t do a great job where you have to pump them a lot, then try this one out! I was a non believer until I saw how much more open my eyes looked. Please excuse my skin, I’m trying to get it back in order after some recent breakouts. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler
