Can’t believe we’re almost at the end of the summer! I’m... organizing products checking expiration dates cleaning products and my vanity purging the old, the empty, and the useless taking inventory What are your fall must-haves as we head into the new month and Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty?
💗What's Your Favorite Makeup Brand?
😘Hi babes! Like how I was often confused when choosing skincare brands, millions of makeup brands often drove me crazy😲. How are various brands different from each other? Which brand has the lowest price but highest quality? I am sooo curious, so please...please tell me what your favourite brand is🤔🤔🤔? So I can at least get some exposure to other brands and have some other options!! 🍒Don't forget to follow your best friend CheriePick, an official Cherie account, to interact with other Cherie members and get the best content in the community. Beauty Myths - The More You Spend the Better - Not True!
The quality of an expensive or luxury product doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be better than a low-cost product. So much of what goes into really expensive brands is just marketing. It’s also true that the companies at the luxury end of the market have spent millions of dollars on research and this trickles down to benefit cheaper brands. Sometimes just some homework is required to find out what’s good and what’s not worth the money The best place to start is the ingredients list. For example, if you have dehydrated skin look for some products with hyaluronic acid, all of these have hyaluronic acid and they are all great but let’s compare. Dior Capture Totale Plump Filler Serum v Caudalie Vinosoure SOS Serum Dior Capture Totale Plump Filler Serum, usually on sale at $99, is beautiful and really does the job; but, in my opinion, Caudalie Vinosoure SOS Serum for $29 is just as good. But here’s the catch, if you’re over 35 spend the money on Dior. Years of research have gone into this serum and it’s designed to suit older skin - sometimes it’s worth paying a bit more for really great skin. Milk Makeup Milk Cream at $20 or Charlotte Tilbury's Magic cream at $90 I’m going to stick my neck out and say I love Milk Makeup - for so many reasons, it’s vegan and the money has been spent by the brand on the ingredients and not marketing. The people at Milk Makeup have been very clever and, through a series of original # hashtags, reacted to an Instagram campaign that has promoted the brand. So in this case Milk wins. Like this, I could highlight so many examples, but instead, I’ll recommend my favorite low-cost brands that focus on key ingredients. The Ordinary - tip-top ingredients but boring packaging The Inkey List - very similar to The Ordinary which started a trend for low-cost beauty Caudalie - lovely French brand with a focus on antioxidants made from grapes Sephora Collection - own brand collection but everything is really well made Cerave - drugstore style brand: really great for skin that suffers from acne ISDIN - brilliant suncare products from a French pharma company It’s so true that there are some really great and beautiful luxury products that will do wonders for your skin. But if you can’t, or don’t want to spend your money on expensive skincare there are other great products that will do amazing things for a fraction of the cost.
Best eyelash curler: Shiseido
The Shiseido eye lash curler is my all time favorite curler because it has enough tension to really make your lashes pop with minimal effort. Mascara looks better and seems to hold up longer when I use this curler first. It’s an odd tool to rave about but when your lashes are a decent length but not naturally curled, or makes a big difference! The Shiseido curler claims to work on any eye shape or size and I found this to be true. If you find that most drugstore curlers don’t do a great job where you have to pump them a lot, then try this one out! I was a non believer until I saw how much more open my eyes looked. Please excuse my skin, I’m trying to get it back in order after some recent breakouts. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler
SHISEIDO-Shiseido Eyelash Curler
Since I’m super pale right now I’m going to break out my Clarins Addition Concentre Eclat face tanner. I absolutely love this stuff! I mix a few drops in with my moisturizer and it gives me the most beautiful, natural looking bronzed glow. Shoutout to my MAC paint pot (bare study) in the background of this pic. This is a staple in my eyeshadow collection and I use it as a base before applying my other shadows. .
