👨⚕️Vitamin C can save your skin!!
Scratching you head and wondering why those bloggers always have that dewy, beautiful skin that never matches with their ages🧐 ? Attention girls❕ Best beauty secret in town! No need to be jealous of others anymore😍 !! The comments below are all from our users and they reveal how their beauty secret – vitamin C – can save your skin. @Sara.Rudnick “You're looking for a bomb vitamin C serum - here I am - try CeraVe! I have been using vitamin C on my skin for a few years. Vitamin C serums is one of the products through the years that I can say actually makes a difference with my skin. My skin just looks brighter and better. The CeraVe vitamin C serum contains 10% pure vitamin C and also some Hyaluronic Acid. It also helps your skin better absorb following moisturizer over it. Though it's only 10% (some other products contain 20% or more vitamin C) but it's totally enough for me and actually it's safer to use for sensitive skin. The Cerave comes in an enclosed tube so the product stays fresh and doesn’t oxidize which is an issue with Vitamin C. You should definitely try it!!” @ALONDRAMEDINA "I highly recommend Naturium vitamin C 22%. It's so good súper gentle and very hydrating. A little goes along way. It's only $20 and it's fast shipping. I love it, it have seriously change my skin for the best. I have been have acne for 15 years and finally found something that can help me. I highly recommend this. " @StephanieLaplanche “Start off with the basics: cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen (for when you go outside). Definitely add a solid vitamin C serum for the dark spots. Paulas choice has an amazing vitamin C serum that has 15% pure vitamin C!! I keep the moisturizers very basic because I find that a lot of the higher end moisturizers have either too much fragrance for me or they sink into the skin soo much that I have to reapply every other hour.” @GlowPrincess “What helped me the most was me being consistent with my day & night skincare routines and also knowing how to apply my products, for example applying my vitamin C serum after my toner and then my hyaluronic acid serum & then my liquid exfoliator. Layering the right skincare product is very important because if you dont apply them correctly, you can have breakouts & redness that can lead to hyperpigmentation.” Apart from our beauty experts’ testimonies, scientific research has shown that vitamin C can protect skin cells, even out skin tone, lighten hyperpigmentation and brown spots, and enhance skin radiance 👏 ! Accutane Skincare Routine
Hey! Just wanted to posted a photo of what my skincare routine has been during my accutane journey. I have officially switched moisturizers from the thicker cetaphil/cerave tubs to the neutrogena hydro boost to have lighter coverage now that my skin is not drying out like it used to. MORNING/AM (listed in order of use) Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum Neutrogena - Healthy Defense, Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen, Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Healing Jelly, Rich Moisturizing EVENING/PM (listed in order of use) Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer Absolutely loving all of these products. No irritation from any of them. Let me know what you think!
No 👎🏼 🍍
Okay so Vitamin C is having a major moment right now. Everyone and I mean everyone has got a Vitamin C product out there. The brand Naturium is no exception. This formula includes sodium ascorbyl phosphate which is a stable, water-soluble form of vitamin C. It also has Ascorbic Acid which is a potent antioxidant and skin-soothing agent that can improve the appearance of signs of aging. So really great combination here. My main issue with this product is all the fruit extracts! It’s like walking around in the produce section of the grocery store. Not saying they are bad in a formula. They can be good, but they are a risk for irritation. Pineapple Fruit Extract, Papaya Fruit Extract, Mango Fruit Extract, Terminalia Ferdinandiana Fruit Extract, Pleiogynium Timoriense Fruit Extract, Podocarpus Elatus Fruit Extract. Thats a ton! My Results: I did a patch test (always do a patch test) I put this on for two days just under my jaw below my ear, and I didn’t have anything happen. However after about a week of using this product on my face I got tiny bumps that didn’t itch or anything, but just look terrible! I was so disappointed because previously my skin had never been clearer. I was unable to return this product because I purchased it with a coupon code. I hadn’t known that small detail when I purchased, but oh well that’s just how it goes. I stopped using this on my face and have been using it on the backs of my hands without any problem. So it’s just my face that freaked out. Now my thoughts: it’s a not a terrible formulation. I personally would have preferred it without all the fruit extracts because I’m not sold on what all they really do. Also Naturium’s Vitamin C Super Serum doesn’t have them in there. So I was surprised to see them in this one. This formula left my skin tacky/sticky for some reason, which I wasn’t a fan of. However if you don’t mind fruit extracts I really believe this is a nice stable formulation of a vitamin C serum. I just happened to have a bad reaction to it. While I would recommend with reservations I definitely won’t be repurchasing this particular product. Vitamin Cs I liked better: L'ORÉAL - Revitalift Derm Intensives Vitamin C Serum & THE inkey LIST - 15% Vitamin C and EGF& CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum & SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum (If you have the coin)

naturium vitamin c serum first impressions
NATURIUM - Vitamin C Complex Serum I just received this product a few days ago, and I’ve only used it twice, but here are my first impressions! This serum is a clear color and it’s very lightweight. The first morning I used it, I used two pumps and it really just settled into my skin. The second morning I used it, I just used one pump (because I didn’t feel I needed two pumps) and it settled into my skin just like the two pumps. The serum certainly isn’t sticky, it’s more like a watery-oil texture, and it really felt like it was hydrating my skin. Obviously, I’ve only used this twice so I can’t really say much about the brightening effect on my dark spots, but I feel like it did add a nice glow to my face in the morning and it hasn’t broken me out (yet, knock on wood). I’m really looking forward to continuing to use this and to seeing the brightening effects in the long term!
Solid Vitamin C product 🌞
If you love Vitamin C but hate the stickiness that comes with most serums, NATURIUM - Vitamin C Complex Serum is your miracle product. It has a complete gel-like texture that once absorbed into the skin, is non-sticky. If you live in a dry/humid climate or have oily skin, this is for you. This serum contains l-ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, and a blend of fruit extracts to bright the skin. It’s also formulated with Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid for a boost or hydration. I’ve noticed results in the lighting of some dark spots after a week and a half, but I stopped using after I over-exfoliated and had to “detox” my skin. I will definitely start using it again though. The non-stickiness of this serum is really what had me shook. In the winter I personally prefer an oil-based Vitamin C serum because of my dryness, but this will be a lifesaver when my skin is more oily in the summer!
Ingredients to Fight PIH 💥
If you're like me than once you get a pimple you KNOW you're going to be dealing with the dark mark, or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), that it leaves behind. I've had acne since I was a young teen and have been dealing with fighting these stubborn marks for over 10 years now, here are the ingredients that I look for and how I use them! Vitamin C - an antioxidant, it works to help your skin regenerate and repair damaged cells. The number one goal when fighting pigmentation issues is to speed up the skin's natural regeneration process, so that the damaged cells are sloughed off and replaced with healthy cells. Vitamin C is also inhibits melanin production, so your skin will have a harder time making dark spots when you get a pimple. It will help to brighten the skin, without changing your natural pigmentation! We all about brightening here, not bleaching or lightening the skin! My favorite Vitamin C products are the BeautyStat COSMETICS - Universal C Skin Refiner , SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin Cf and VICHY - LiftActiv Vitamin C Brightening Skin Corrector . All three have great percentages of Vitamin C an use L-ascorbic acid, it's the purest form of vitamin c. The BeautyStat Vitamin C is my favorite because it's the highest percentage, so it works quickly, and it is extremely stable. Some people are sensitive to vitamin C and should use lower percentages or less pure forms! I only use Vitamin C in my morning routine as some of the products in the night routine don't play nice with it! It also can further protect the skin from UV rays when paired with SPF. Niacinamide - a form of vitamin B3 and an antioxidant, like Vit C. So not only does it help to lighten the skin, but it also reduces skin inflammation and acne! What that means is it helps to fight the cause of PIH while also fighting the effect. It improves the skin's barrier function for overall healthier skin! I use the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pro Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment it's a powerhouse treatment that combines niacinamide with other skin lightening ingredients - tranexamic acid, kojic acid, alpha arbutin and pentapeptide. I use this treatment at night in conjunction with my tretinoin treatment. Niacinamide and tretinoin are a match made in heaven and are both absolutely necessary in my PIH fighting routine. Niacinamide can help to alleviate the side effects of retinoids. Retinoids - a derivative of vitamin A, it's a key nutrient for cell turnover! It will brighten the skin, reduce acne, and increase collagen production. Not only is a game changer for fighting PIH, but also for anti-aging and acne. There are different types of retinoid - retinol, tretinoin, Retin A and adapalene are all different types. Some are much higher strength and require a prescription! I use a prescription strength retinoid, it is apart of my Curology prescription and uses tretinoin.
CeraVe Vitamin C! (Antioxidant Serum)
CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum PRODUCT FUNCTION vitamin C serum! Not only is it affordable, but it uses 10% L-ascorbic acid, which is the form of vitamin c that is most well studied! TARGETED CONCERNS It targets hyperpigmentation and dark spots. This also contains ceramides which help rebuild and protect your skin barrier! An absolute must try! TEXTURE/CONSISTENCY Lightweight gel that sinks into the skin super quick! MY THOUGHTS I absolutely love it! I’ve been using it for a couple months now, and I have noticed some DRAMATIC brighting effects on my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation! I would totally recommend it to everyone and it is so worth the price!

Perfect Match for Pigmentation
Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence+Kiehl's Clearly Corrective™ Dark Spot Solution Main Ingredients: 96% Snail Mucin / Ascrobic Acid, White Birch Extract As we all know snail mucin or can be called snail slime helps to moisturize skin, promote collagen production, and aids in skin healing and regeneration. Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence contains up to 96.3% of snail secretion filtrate which helps to protect the skin from moisture loss while improving skin elasticity. Snail mucin helps repair and soothes red, sensitive skin after breakouts by replenishing moisture. So it suits me very well since i'm a sensitive dry skin. It's a little bit sticky but absorbs very well. It really add water to my skin because i normally use it at night and wake up with bump skin. I don't like Korean skincare products normally, but this one really beyond my expectation. It's cheap and effective. Kiehl's Clearly Corrective™ Dark Spot Solution is the product i recently add to my skincare routine, after the snail essence. It certainly improved my hyperpigmentation. I got some acne scars and really want to remove them. After few weeks, i definitely see an improvement of my scar. They star to fading. The combination of these two products help improved my skin recovery and brightening, moisturizing as well. I do like this match.

Toner for Hyperpigmentation
I want to talk about the toner I’ve been using the past week for hyperpigmentation. It is Caudalie’s Brightening Essence. This is good for hyperpigmentation, dark spots, scarring, brightening and illuminating the skin. TBH I’m definitely not a person that is” obsessed” with toners. I feel like I can live without them. I know that’s bad to say & I don’t know why I don’t have tons of toners but I definitely have made more of an an effort the past week to incorporate it in my skin care routine. Since, I went to the Sephora sale last weekend I purchased one of Caudalie’s Holiday Sets. Now I can honestly tell you my face has looked brighter & smoother since I have been using the toner & the Vinoperfect brightening serum. I don’t know if it’s the serum, the toner or both together but I can see a difference in my skin. I have scarring from cystic acne so I do need to use a toner to give myself more of an even skin texture. I am a big fan of Caudalie’s brand and products and like other products of theirs, this is Vegan(which I love!!!). What is it? This is a natural brightening essence toner powered by glycolic acid to remove dead skin and grape water to hydrate, brighten, smooth, evening the skin. This is targeted for normal and combination skin. Again, it’s good for brightening dark spots, dullness, and uneven texture. It’s packed with powerhouse ingredients; organic grape water and glycolic acid to hydrate and exfoliate and white peony extract to reveal fresh radiant skin. It also has tons of essential oils which is crazy because it doesn’t leave my face feeling oily so that’s an added bonus. Some of the important or more effective essential oils in my opinion are: Lemongrass, Lavender, Rosemary, & Lemon Balm. These oils provide a calming antiseptic to the skin that will help reduce dark spots and blemishes. I love that it’s hydrating, light & doesn’t feel oily. I will say I see a glow after I use it. I’m giving it a 3 because I still don’t know if I see a huge change in my skin with toners, but I’ll keep at it.CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence

PAULA’S CHOICE AZELAIC ACID BOOSTER REVIEW
If you deal with stubborn redness, I highly recommend trying the Paula’s Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster. The effects from this lightweight cream booster are pretty magical— it tackles redness, uneven skin tone, dark spots, skin texture, and just improves my overall complexion. In addition to the azelaic acid, this booster contains salicylic acid to add exfoliation. I love this most for its ability to smooth out my skin texture and even out my skin tone. However, it’s quite strong, and can be sensitizing to my skin. I definitely have to avoid my mouth and eye area when applying this or else my skin will become highly sensitized. I have to make sure to wash my hands after applying this or else it will transfer and cause sensitivity. When applying this, I mix it with another creamy serum, like Krave’s Great Barrier Relief or Make Prem’s Tamanu Calming Serum. I find that this balances out the intensity of the product. I rarely use this alone anymore after some bad experiences. I’ve heard this is great mixed into or applied after moisturizer as well! It’s $36 for 1oz, but I use only a little but so it lasts quite a while. Paula’s Choice also always has amazing sales so you can definitely get this for less. I think this is a staple product that would work for most people because it helps with so many skin issues: acne, texture, redness, hyperpigmentation. If your skin is super sensitive, definitely be careful, because it is strong. But you can make it work by balancing out the intensity! PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster

I CC you Summer Fridays
What I noticed right away with this serum is that is has a lovely gentle scent! It’s just smells fresh and slightly citric without smelling like a real fragrance. It’s a regular serum consistency as its a bit thicker than a toner and is milky white. I didn’t have any reaction or irritation to this product which is huge for me! My skin has been bright and dewy and extra soft since I incorporated this into my routine. But what really gets me is that there is an actual reduction in the redness (thanks niacinamide!) and a reduction in the scarring thanks to the vitamin c! All in all I think this is a beautiful and simple way to get some necessary vitamin c! It’s the cutest little package too 🧡SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum
