For my birthday I was able to pick up my annual Sephora free mini gift set, and this year I chose Laneige! I really wanted to see what the hype was all about on the Lip Sleeping Mask, since it’s soooo highly rated and on Allure’s top product list! Here are my thoughts after using them for a week! LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask it’s a no for me. ❌ Reason being: It actually dried my lips out. This stuff is literally just lip gloss that you put on your lips at night and that’s it. I will say that it does feel very expensive and luxurious when you put it on- but after like 3 hours of sleep, the stuff magically is gone from my lips and dried up into thin air. I’ve even tried wearing it during the day to see if I was just licking it off in my sleep, and it stilll evaporated. So, I will be sticking with my cheap Aquaphor that truly transforms my lips overnight. LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask also a no ❌ Reason being: when I applied this is feels NICE. It feels like a gel that’s so cooling and refreshing. It dried on my face and actually got really tight (idk if that’s supposed to happen?) and my face didn’t seem moisturized. Idk it was weird so I don’t think I would purchase again. LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream okay I won’t give it an X this time! ✅ I did enjoy this product, and really had a beautiful, dewy finish on my skin every time I used it as a moisturizer. I do feel like it gave me hydration and I liked the cooling, gel feeling of it like the sleeping mask had. Overall, I really like this stuff!

Ok even though we don’t experience cold temps in SoCal during winter (today was 72 degrees and sunny) the humidity levels definitely drop, which leaves my lips dry and often chapped. Fortunately for me, I have a thing for lip balms. Here are the ones that I currently have on rotation: 🌞 Daytime - SPF is important for your lips too: Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 extremely minty, but creates a great barrier to trap moisture. SPF 25. sun bum - Sunscreen Lip Balm SPF 30 really love this one when I’m at the beach (yes we go to the beach in February.) It smells like coconut sunscreen and reminds me of summer BBQs at the beach. SPF 30. Neutrogena - Revitalizing Lip Balm SPF 20 this is a tinted lip balm (I get the Sunny Berry color.) The shade is the perfect wash of color, smells like berries, hydrates well, aaaand SPF 20. CAUDALIE - CAUDALIE Lip Conditioner probably my favorite for daytime, even though it doesn’t have SPF. I mostly wear this one indoors (quarantine has me inside constantly) but what I love about this is it actually feels like a conditioner for your lips. It’s very lightweight and really sinks into your lips. 🌚 Nighttime - apart from the LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask CARMEX - Comfort Care Colloidal Oatmeal Lip Balm smells (and tastes) delicious and is the perfect mix of conditioner and moisture retainer. The only draw back is it can dry out and get hard easily. Warm it up a little in your hands first 😉 BURT’S BEES - Vanilla Bean Lip Balm my go to at night. So smooth and goes on effortlessly, this little tube is great at preventing moisture and water loss while you sleep. Tell me what your favorites are, I always have room in my lip drawer for more 😈
