Synergistic Vitamin C + AHA Night Routine?! 🍊
Vitamin C and AHA/Glycolic Acid work optímally at similar pHs! This routine is not for the skin-sensitives but can be easily substituted with a milder serum. What I Used: 1. I’m From Rice Toner 2. Purito Vitamin C Serum 3. Good Molecules AHA Overnight Treatment 4. Klairs Ampoule Mist

One of my OG faves. Highly recommend to anyone. Great for acne prone or sensitive skin. Great if you have a hard time with conventional vitamin c serums. All around great for gentle and subtle hydration and brightening. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum

Skin Concern — Dehydration
I have oily/combination skin so I’m always looking for good, lightweight serums to help infuse moisture into my skin. I live in a very humid climate so lightweight moisture is a must. I have been experiencing dehydration lately, so when I received the bliss - Glow & Hydrate Day Serum in the mail I was very excited to test it out. I used up this serum over the course of a few months and I have to say that for a drugstore serum, I was very impressed. It has both Hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in it. HA is a well known and well loved ingredient for its super hydrating qualities, while niacinamide is calming and helps with pores and skin texture. It really hydrated my skin and made it feel plump. I always use facial spray under a hydrating serum to help bolster the amount of moisture my skin is able to take in. The only negative I’ve found in this product is the scent, it smells somewhat candy-like which I don’t like at all, but thankfully it dissipates rather quickly. Overall, this is one of Bliss’ pricier items, and I do think it’s fairly priced, but there are other hydrating serums that I prefer to this one that are cheaper (like the HA serum from Good Molecules) so I wouldn’t repurchase at this time.

Oily Skin Concern: Niacinamide
GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum I have oily skin. It started as a teenager and I remember being in Highschool and goung to the bathroom to blot my face multiple times a day. It didnt occur until recent years that I could use skincare to help solve my oily skin. Niacinamide is known for its skin evening, pore reducing, and oil control effects. I started using Niacinamide from The Ordinary a few years ago, and stopped using it when I ran out. I recently was gifted this Niacinamide serum from Good Molecules and thought I would try it again. I’ve been happy ever since! I use this in my AM routine after cleansing and befofe moisturizer. It doesnt have a scent and comes out a clear, gel-like liquid texture. It sinks into the skin and doesn’t leave any sticky finish. This is one thing I found that the ordinary niacinamide had. I’ve been using this particular one for a few weeks now and I’ve already seen results! Usually I would see oily skin throughout the day in between my eyebrows, on my nose, and under my eye are on my cheeks. I’ve seen a significant decrease in the oil production in that are since I’ve used this. It’s quite amazing that this doesn’t have any silicones or mattifying ingredients. It just works with your skin over time. In my opinion, this is a much better alternative to a mattifying primer because it improves your skin overall instead of layering a product on top of it.

Affordable finds @ target
Currently using the Versed Stroke of Brilliance Brightening Serum. I purchased this on their website but you can purchase this at Target. Soo, tea about it is that I bought it to hopefully help with my post acne marks and just bring radiance to my skin since winter was over and the cold sucked me dry. It worked for me pretty well, i've been using it for 2 weeks and it helped alot with my scars and brought my inner glow back! It does have this sticky feeling because it is a thicker serum, but what I do so I dont get that sticky feeling i mix about 2 drops with my moisturizer on the palm of my hands so I dont really feel the texture of the serum on my face. Pretty good and I could recommend! A plus to it it inexpensive and it brings the same results as overpriced serums. Ingredients always matters guys not the hype ✌🏻
✨ Propylene Glycol ✨
My skin type is combo oily and my skin concern is acne, acne scars and dullness. . Propylene Glycol: A slightly thick liquid that has no scent or color. It is used in low concentrations in many products as a humectant and epidermal delivery agent. Basically that means it helps a product penetrate into the lipid bilayers of the epidermis and to help stabilize the formula so that it doesn’t change in extreme temperatures. It’s main functions are that it attracts water, lightly moisturizers, addresses visible signs of aging, enhances penetration, prevents water loss, and is safe for acne-prone skin. . Controversy: It seems to be common that “Clean Beauty” says to stay away from this ingredient. Misinformation about data that shows dramatic stores with prolonged use cause liver and kidney damage. However, these studies were done with the effects of inhalation or ingestion with large concentrations and over long periods of time. These levels aren’t relevant to how much is used in skincare or the form of use with skincare. There has also been confusion and blurred lines with its association with other glycols, like ethylene glycol (not used in cosmetic formulations). Both propylene and ethylene glycol are used in automotive applications and has caused skin irritations in some people, but when used at 100% concentration. It has no toxic effects when used topically and in the concentrations commonly used cosmetic formulations. . My Experience: I had honestly not heard about this ingredient until I started researching for this topic. I have been using the Kiehl's - Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate 12.5% Vitamin C for the past couple of weeks and have noticed an improvement in my acne scars/overall glow/radiance. It hasn’t had an negative effects on my skin or caused any sensitivity. It is very lightweight and easily absorbs into my skin without leaving behind a greasy feeling. I also haven’t had any issues with pilling or painful reactions.
