Makeup For My Graduation Photoshoot!!! 🎓💖✨
First of all, congrats to all my fellow 2020 graduates!!! I recently did a graduation photoshoot with my family and so I wanted to show you the makeup I did for it! I wanted to look like myself but more enhanced and defined. I started with MAKE UP FOR EVER - Full Cover Concealer to cover any blemishes on my face. It has a super thick and high coverage formula that lasts all day (it’s literally waterproof!) and is perfect for pinpoint concealing! I skipped foundation because I wanted my makeup to look more skinlike in the photos and not super flat. I then defined my brows with MAYBELLINE - Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil . It’s a great dupe for Anastasia’s brow wix and any other more “expensive” skinny brow pencil. It’s not too pigmented where you accidentally like like you use a sharpie to draw on your brows. It has the perfect in-between pigment and wax so it lasts all day and adds thickness to the brows. I used benefit - 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel to set my brows. It’s literally super glue for brows! This is a clear gel that keeps my hairs looking fluffy and combed up all day. I used the bronzer and highlight fromTOM FORD - Soleil Contouring Compact to add some warmth, glow and definition to the face. It has a super smooth powder formula that doesn’t look like makeup once on the skin! It blends in perfectly and seamlessly so it looks just like skin. For blush I used CHANEL - ROUGE COCO Lip Blush in 420 for a warm berry glow on the cheeks. This is a gel like formula that is super cheer but buildable. It also leaves a nice glassy sheen on the skin! To set the concealer and the parts of my face that gets shiny throughout the day, I used rms beauty - "Un" Powder . It makes my skin look satin smooth and doesn’t let any shine come through! It also doesn’t have flashback (if you apply only a sheer layer on the skin). For eyeshadow, I used TOM FORD - Cream and Powder Eye Color in Naked Bronze. It’s a beautiful combination of a creamy, moussey bronze cream shadow and a sheer but super glittery gold powder shadow top coat. It lasts all day and looks suuper flattering! I always get questions on what I have on my eyesqhen I wear it. I used my holy-grail favorite DollyWink - DollyWink Liquid Eyeliner to line my eyes for extra definition. It has a super fine tip for extra precision and the formula is inky black and doesn’t budge at all! For the biggest, baddest lashes, I used LANCÔME - Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara . It adds so much volume and length to my lashes and the waterproof formula makes it stay on all day without any smudging. For the lips, I wanted a shade similar to my natural lip color so I went for COLOURPOP - Ultra Blotted Lip from Pony’s Collaboration in Holly Lolly. It’s a beautiful warm pink!
My Current Favorite Lip Oils and Glosses
I was strictly a matte lipstick girl, sometimes a cream but never a gloss formula, up until about 9 months ago. I’m not sure what changed, but I honestly don’t mind at all! These are my faves- VISEART - Moisture Boost Lip Shine My absolute favorite lip oil are the Moisture Boost Lip Shines! I have the shades Fleur and Petale, and not only do they look and feel great on my lips, they are actually pretty hydrating. I love how luxe they smell also! tarte - Sugar Rush Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil Another great lip oil that I was introduced to recently is the Lip Sip Vegan Lip Oil. I have the shade Fresh Pressed which is a really pretty nude, and it makes my lips look and feel years younger whenever I wear it. COLOURPOP - Lux Lip Oil A really great affordable, but just as great option, are the CP Lux Lip Oils! I have almost every single shade and they wear really nicely throughout the day. They add the prettiest tint of color while making my lips feel nourished and healthy. And once again, they are super affordable and have a great variety of shade options. COLOURPOP - So Juicy Plumping Gloss Another great CP formula is the So Juicy Plumping Gloss. It’s a little bit stickier than I prefer, but it really does give my lips a nice plump and juicy feeling, and it has a really nice refreshing mint taste that makes my lips feel clean and fresh. I love the packaging also. They are perfect to carry around in my bag and they even have mini’s now! COLOURPOP - Ultra Glossy Lip This pretty peachy shade adds the perfect amount of warm shine to my lips. I love the brush applicator too because it gives my lips a nice even coat. It’s pretty nourishing as well! #Scott Barnes Cosmetics - Flossy Glossy Lip Trio[products]#[FiveStars] I absolutely love the Scott Barnes Flossy Glossy lip trio. I mainly wear the two shades in this photo, but these are some of the most comfortable and longest wearing glosses ever! They really do add an amazing amount of shine too. Plus the packaging is gorgeous! PAT McGRATH LABS - LUST Lip Gloss Pat McGrath’s Lust Lip Glosses were actually the first glosses that I really enjoyed wearing. They are super comfortable and she has the most beautiful shade selection. They are also a great option for a more long wearing gloss. They smell heavenly as well! FENTY BEAUTY - Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick I love these balms! I have two shades and they add the perfect amount of shine and pigment to my lips, and they are really comfortable! The packaging is super cute too. The scent isn’t my favorite, but they make my lips look so good that I don’t even mind. I wish I had them all! #BeautyWithoutBarriers #CheriePartner
Pop of Blue 💙 Khloe Kardashian Inspired
Hey beautiful! I finally tried RawBeautyKristi’s collab with Pür and used her double sided pressed pigments palette today 🎨 I was searching “fashion week” makeup and came across this image of Khloe K from 2017. She is wearing neutral bronze and browns with a pop of blue eyeshadow. I decided to try out this look using my new pür palette. Upon swatching , I had a feeling these were going to be pigmented on the lids and easy to work with...and I’m glad that I was right. These pigments pack a punch, but easy to blend out. Sometimes the downside of highly pigmented shadows is the difficulty of blending it out, but that was not the case at all with these shadows and they are buildable. The shimmer formulas remind me of the super shock shadows. This is so worth the wait and I’m glad I picked these up 💙 This collection is limited edition and I think they have a few left on pür’s website, but I’m not sure. I would pick this up if they do! PÜR - PÜR X Raw Beauty Kristi Double-Sided Pressed Pigment Palette To achieve this look, I used: 1) My Sigma E35 brush and applied camelot as a transition shade. Any fluffy brush will do 2) Using the same brush, I dipped in to my whole heart to blend out the edges 3) With my Sigma E25, I packed told you on my outer crease then blended it out 4) To deepen the crease, I grabbed my Sigma E30 and packed you’re not my real dad on the outer corner. Any pencil brush will do 5) I used my finger to apply golden ticket all over my lid 6) using my E30 brush, I applied hurtful all over my lower lash 7) using the same pencil brush, I used my whole heart to blend out the edges of hurtful 9) I grabbed my Morphe JH39 brush to apply cafe disco on my inner corner and brow highlight 10) I applied a sharp winged liner. I used my Stila liquid liner 11) to darken up my water line, I used a black pencil liner. I used Bodyography in the shade onyx 12) I was going to use a subtle falsies, but I couldn’t find my lash glue 😡 I think this would definitely make the look! Just apply 3 layers of black mascara. I used Essence lash princess 14) For the lips, I used Colourpop’s lip liner in Ashton and ultra glossy lip in rattler. Both are from the That’s taupe collection. I am super impressed with CP’s ultra glossy lip from this collection. The color is actually opaque and the wand reminds me of my Kylie’s lipgloss. It is actually soft and not stiff like my Kathleen Lights gloss. It seems they added a scent too. It smells like vanilla cupcakes! I’m glad CP finally fixed their shoddy gloss wands! This is the perfect middle ground between neural and dramatic. It is soft enough to wear in the day time while adding that little edge. I hope you try this out and thanks for reading! Xoxo, Francesca 💋 #CheriePartner
2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid - this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer “light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour “fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip “little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner
Products I REGRET Buying 💀👎🤦♀️
Hey Cherie Sisters! 👯♀️ 💗 ⚠️First of all, I just want to say that these items didn’t personally work for me. You might love some of these products I listed and that is totally okay and I want to put a disclaimer that what didn’t work for me might work for you so take my words with a grain of salt. •WNW MAKEUP SPONGE I LOVE my beauty blender and truly believe that the OG is the best, but it isn’t cheap so I’m always looking for alternatives. I love the RT one and this is even cheaper than that so I decided to give it a go. Some reviews claimed this the exact dupe of BB and some even claim that this is better than BB. The texture of this is a bit rough and the sponge holes are a bit large so it imprinted when I applied my foundation. This emphasized my large pores rather than smooth it out. This also made my foundation + under eye look atrocious. I tried using it to apply my baking powder instead and it was still awful. Maybe I got a bad batch? I’m not sure. Save your $$$ and spend a couple dollars on the RT one. •ELF 16HR CAMO CONCEALER Tarte Shape Tape is my HG concealer and some reviews claimed this is a dupe. However, this is way too drying especially on the under eye area. I also don’t like the texture of it. It is much thicker than my shape tape and a bit harder to blend. It also kept moving around even after baking it. I do have very dry skin so maybe the hydrating concealer might work for me better? I have to try it and get back to you. I still have this item 3 stars because it works great as an eye primer, but just awful on the complexion •TATCHA THE ESSENCE I don’t hate this product per se, but I can live without it. This has premium and clean ingredients, but I didn’t see it make much of a difference. Also for $95 USD (for 150 mL) I just don’t think it’s worth it 😔 •JSC MINI ORGY PALETTE The large orgy palette’s quality is great. However, the mini one is lackluster and isn’t comparable to JSC’s usual standard. I have been refunded and they allowed me to keep this product so I’m happy. I heard that they are recalling this palette as well so I think that’s a good business move on JSC’s end, but it just sucks because the shades look so beautiful in the pan •HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING POWDER I got sucked in to the hype and bought this. I don’t see a difference. It didn’t make my skin more luminous. I applied multiple layers to my face and still didn’t see anything. It lacks pigment which is disappointing for $48. It doesn’t work as a highlighter either. Sigh •COLOURPOP LIQUID LIPSTICKS CP is one of my favorite products, but I hate all their liquid matte lipsticks. I find it too drying, crumbly and low quality •KYLIE EXTENDED PEACH PALETTE This is Colourpop quality so why did I pay $45 for it? •MILK LONGWEAR GEL LINER This claims to be a “long wear” liner, yet it smudges like crazy even after setting with black eyeshadow. It also sticks to my contact lenses like crazy What products do you regret purchasing? Francesca 💋

ColourPop Lippie Stix
Colorpop lippie stix Or a nice, not too heavy, and moisturizing then lipstick. The shade that is shown here, is the shade oh snap. This shade is what I consider to be the most neutral of all the shades, it’s a warm brownish pink. What do I think of this product? As with most products from this brand. They are really affordable, so you can’t expect too much. For the price, they are always great values! I like this lipstick, but it’s not my favorite lipstick. I do find that his feathers a bit and it wears off a little bit quickly for some thing that I would expect to be a bit longer wearing. It is pretty pigmented, so it packs a lot of color. This is definitely a moisturizing lipstick, and I’m happy with the packaging. It’s week, it fits nicely into a make up bag, and the cap secures on tightly. The worst is when the cap Comes off your lipstick, leaving lipstick all over the inside of your bag! I give this 4/5 stars. It’s a good lipstick, and considering that it only retails for eight dollars, I might re-buy one of these. I definitely have more expensive lipsticks that I prefer, and I feel wear better on my lips. Cure for Bad Day = Bright Lipstick!
I woke up in a funk today. I think months of nowhere to go, working from home and homeschooling have finally gotten to me. Plus yesterday I got dragged into someone else’s drama and that left me feeling uneasy and made it hard to sleep. So I did not want to get out of bed this morning. But I did. And to help cheer myself up, I put on a nice bright shade of lipstick. I am wearing Mac Lustre Lipstick in Lustering. These are $19 at Ulta, though I think my exact shade may be discontinued. It’s a light, creamy formula that goes on with a nice bright pigment. It really is a nice pick me up for a bad day.
With the new release of Selena Gomez’s new makeup line the first thing that caught my interest was the Rare Beauty - Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream in the muted terra-cotta color named BRAVE. What I like the most is texture of the cream and how easy it is to apply. It’s been on for 3 hours now and still no flakiness. Most of all what I love behind this lip cream is the message of Selena’s beauty line. Being authentically yourself and loving the skin you’re in. I’ll definitely be trying out her other products based off the single purchase alone!

COLOURPOP: TAKE MY MONEY 💳💸
I’m obsessed with Colourpop Lipsticks! The have such a large variety of colors and finishes and they are all $7! You get amazing quality for such a low price. I’ve tried Kylie lipsticks and she literally took Colourpop’s formula and packaging and put her name on it for almost 3 times the price! All of their colors are so fun and vibrant I might just buy them all! COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip This lipstick can be very drying so make sure you moisturize your lips prior to putting it on. This lipstick lasts all day! It will not budge until you take it off with a makeup remover. You can eat, drink and slay! COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip Their blotted lip is a thin matte lipstick that gives your lips a tint but your true lip color still shines through. It isn’t as drying as a matte lipstick. COLOURPOP - Ultra metallic lip These metallic lipsticks are super sheer and pigmented. I like to combo these with a lipgloss for amazing glow and shine. COLOURPOP - Lippie Stix These feel amazing on the lips. They are thick, creamy and rich. A little goes a long way!
Colourpop Lip Disappointments
Colourpop is always on my list, but somehow I have very few of their products. Their brand seems great, decently affordable and great quality but I’m rarely compelled enough to actually purchase anything. So here are two of the few products I own by them. Colourpop Lippie Stix in “Whip” in a Sheer finish. This line has since been discontinued, which I find to be a huge issue with buying anything from them, but more in that in a different post. The texture is nice, feels like a lip balm, but a little too wet for my taste in terms of being a lipstick. I feel like it smears way too easily. Coverage is buildable to an extent. Overall, not my favorite product, I’d say I wouldn’t buy it again but I couldn’t if I wanted to, lol. But I need to note that their Lippie Stix in other finishes can be very nice!! Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip. The finish always leaves my lips looking crackly and doesn’t feel the greatest on my lips. It’s okay layered with a lip gloss, but that kinda defeats the point of a matte finish. Not as drying as some mattes I’ve had and the color definitely has staying power, so I’ll give it that. TL;DR you probably wouldn’t want to buy these specific products, but it doesn’t matter much since these are both discontinued!
YSL Tatouage Couture Velvet Cream Lipstick
The YSL tatouage couture velvet cream lipsticks are beautifully packaged & definitely give you that high end vibe & experience... I mean, it’s YSL. 🤩 I really love the shades of red they offer... they’re all very pigmented & you can clearly see the difference in the shades once they’re applied. I’m not a HUGE fan of the texture - the lipsticks are extremely wet & I find that makes it a bit hard to apply evenly on my lips. The application brush is also not optimal (it’s super stiff & not angled). The lipstick also has a weird smell to it... I don’t know if it’s intentional or not but it makes the taste of the lipstick kind of weird. However, I think the product is still worth the splurge. Like I said, once you’re able to apply the lipstick, it’s honesty the most beautiful colour and the stains look incredible. They also last a long time without re-applying because they’re stains, which is a HUGE bonus especially when it comes to red lipstick. 💋 @cherie YVES SAINT LAURENT - Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain
