My experience with The Ordinary’s popular peel
The chemical peel that is sweeping the internet by storm. After seeing multiple reviews and watching so many videos on YouTube about it, I decided to take the leap of faith. I have been using this peel for 3 weeks now and this is my 4th treatment. My only intent for this post is to give my honest opinion on this peel and how it fits in my current routine. For reference, that although this product is referred to as a ‘peel’ it is more of a chemical exfoliant, so you shouldn’t experience any actual peeling of your skin. The The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution works to peel off the top layer of your skin cells. Some people may feel a slight burning/tingling feeling while it is on. And due to the high concentration of the peeling acids it is recommended not to keep it on longer than 10 mins and only use it 1-2x a week to prevent damage to the skin from over peeling. Before using this product it is recommended that you patch test it, to see if your skin could have a sensitivity to this solution. The solution claims that “The scientifically developed formula delivers a specified blend of 30% Alpha Hydroxyl Acids (Glycloic, Lactic, Tartaric and Citric) as well as 2% Beta Hydroxyl Salicylic Acid. The pair have been carefully pH balanced for optimum efficacy, working to deeply exfoliate the surface layer of skin, unclog pores, combat blemishes and visibly improve uneven textures.” I honestly love this peel so much but it’s not an over night fix. When I used this for the first time I did see immediate results, my skin was exfoliated, softer, and brighter overall. But like all other products it didn’t clear all my blemishes and make my skin magically flawless, but I didn’t expecting to! Like all other skincare products you start seeing results over time with consistent use. And after using it for 3 weeks I can confidently say this has improved the texture of my skin and help lighten my acne scars. When I run out of this bottle I will definitely be repurchasing it. For reference I use this peel once a week for 10mins. ✨MAKE SURE YOU WEAR AN SPF AS ACIDS CAN MAKE YOUR SKIN MORE PRONE TO SUN DAMAGE✨

Which one should I get?
Hey y’all! Today I will be getting my first product from The Ordinary which I am SO excited about! But I don’t know which serum to get! Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% or Lactic Acid 5% + HA? ✨my skin is oily in my t zone and dry on my cheeks. it is slightly sensitive to physical exfoliation as well. i have some breakouts, texture, and blackheads. i also use amzeeq and tretinoin ✨the niacinamide would help with oil control, my congested pores, and my acne prone skin. i would use this in the morning, but i don’t know if i can use it at night because i don’t know how it would react to my tretinoin ✨the lactic acid would help with the texture on my face, hydrate my skin, and would exfoliate the dead skin cells. i would use this 2-3x a week at night, but i still don’t know how it would react with my tretinoin:( let me know your thoughts down below!! i would LOVE to hear them!!💓💓
I Used up These 2 In 18 Days And Here’s What Happened...
I used up a bottle of The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% and a bottle ofThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%within 18 days. I have oily skin with a tolerance for Niacinamide, so I only feel a little pain around my upper lip. But I don't recommand using the same amount if this is your first try. You definitely should start with small amounts, and build up your tolerance gradually. I used them for: Niacinamide is often touted to help manage acne, rosacea, pigmentation issues, and wrinkles and Azelaic Acid works on skin as a gentle leave-on exfoliant which helps unclog pores and refine skin's surface. How did I use: I normally use 1 pump of Niacinamide in the morning, and 2 pumps at night. But if I plan to do my makeup that morning, I won't use it. I use Azelaic Acid both in the morning and at night as well. The amount is similar to 2-3 jelly beans. And I don't use it before makeup. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% looks similar to liquid glue, and causes ball ups. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% turns into a matte look after you spread it out for 10s. When you use it, make sure you do not draw in circles, cuz that causes ball ups or peelings on your face. Effects: I have been using it for about two weeks. My skin became smooth and my pimples are less visible. I guess the Azelaic Acid works really well for treating pimples. I got something like a pimple on my arm a while ago, it looks like a whitehead. And it became invisible the day after I used the Azelaic Acid at night. This combo is great at oil-controlling. I have oily skin and I sometimes even feel dry after using a great amount of it. Repurchase or not: The biggest problem with this combo is the ball ups it caused. But the effects are impressive. And this combo is VER Y affordable. So I will repurchase in the future.

Bye bye pigmentation & acne scarring
When I read a review that The Oridinary had an AFFORDABLE product that was just as good if not better than drunk elephants babyfacial I decided to give it a try and for under $10 what did I have to lose? The Ordinary AHA30% + BHA 2% aims to smooth and exfoliate skin texture and lighten any dark spots, hyper pimentation or acne scarring. Umm... all of the above please. So this is ideal for dry, oily and combination skin. I’m not super sensitive, but If your skin is, I would sample a small area first. This is loaded with Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid which all three aim exfoliate the outer layers of the skin, while the salicylic Acid aims to clean out inside the pores, removing any blockage. First off the color is bright red and almost looks like blood, it has a berry scent when you first apply it and offers a slight tingling sensation. When I first got it, I only kept it on for a few minutes because I was scared of burning my skin. Now I use it 1x per week for 10 minutes. There is some skin redness after use, but this typically diminishes within the hour. I love the way my skin looks and feels afterward and have noticed significant improvement in lightening scars I have along my jaw line. Ive also seen an improvement with the overall redness in my checks, over all my skin looks brighter and more uniform. I plan to repurchase this item when I run out, and have recommended nearly everyone I know to try it. It really is that good!
