Best dupe for ABH Brow Pencil!
I will never forget the first time I walked into a Sephora looking for something to use on my brows and was given the total. “One ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil will be 21 dollars please”. I had 5 dollars on me😳. I found the results to be pretty great but that much for a pencil? I had to find something better. I began working at ulta and heard through many of my customers that e.l.f. - Instant Lift Brow Pencil was their beauty look staple and only cost them a whole 2 dollars. I had to try! I can now happily say I have been using this product for over 5 years and don’t plan on switching anytime soon. It goes on as easily as the ABH pencil, doesn’t smudge all day, and looks super natural. I even tried the e.l.f. - Lock on Liner and Brow Cream and got a more precise look using a thin slanted brush. The only reason I give that one 4 stars is because they don’t have a great range of colors so it was very dark (sometimes looking a little block-ish when I didn’t blend it properly). Love love love ELF!
Full face of *affordable* makeup!
#MAYBELLINE - Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer[products]#[FiveStars] this primer beats pricier ones like the Porefessional, the MAC one, and more. Covers up pores well and is very helpful for getting that base to stick. #MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer[products]#[FiveStars] HG here!! I have had countless people recommend this baby and I finally got it - I love it!! I wouldn't say it's the fullest coverage out there, but it blends very easily and gets the job done. The sponge applicator is very comfortable and unique. #NYX - BB Cream[products]#[FiveStars] Honestly they could market this as a light to medium coverage foundation. The shade Natural is perfect for me, although I believe their shade range is only okay (great for mediums like me but fails darker skin tones). Looks close to real skin and sinks in easily without drying. #essence - Brighten Up! Banana Powder[products]#[FourStars] Only okay powder. I wish it were more pigmented or just was a translucent powder, since it can't seem to make up its mind. Mattifies and does lighten though, so I'd recommend. #REVOLUTION - Bronze and Glow Duo[products]#[FourStars] This baby is very close to my heart as it was my first bronzer AND my first highlighter! The bronzer is perfect; it blends easily and looks very natural. The highlighter is a little dark for my skin but it works in certain lights. The biggest plus of this duo though is IT SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE. I REPEAT. IT SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE!! #MAYBELLINE - Nudes of New York Eyeshadow Palette[products]#[FourStars] this palette is wonderful for beginners or to keep in your purse for simple, everyday looks or slightly glammed up neutral looks. The shimmers are beautiful and all the shades blend well. My only complaint is that the mattes aren't 100% matte, but it's hard to tell. #MAYBELLINE - Hyper Easy Waterproof Liquid Liner In Pitch Black[products]#[FiveStars] Yay for the liner! It does what it's supposed to, it's *actually* water resistant, and fairly smudge proof. It can run dry for short periods sometimes but not often. I certainly recommend this product :) And there we have it! I don't think any of the products are over $10, but correct me if I'm wrong. All are very affordable and get the job done. The duo and palette I would especially recommend for beginners in just a little more apmed up makeup. Side note: unfortunately the blush I used has its label worn away after too many uses 😅but it's nothing special so don't worry about it haha.
PRIDE in my words + Janelle Monae’s PYNK Look 💕
HAPPY PRIDE CHERIE COMMUNITY! 🌈 Even as a LGBTQ+ student organizer in college in the SF-Bay Area, where the biggest, loudest pride events were right outside my door, I never felt like mainstream Pride truly reflected my experiences as a queer woman of color. Over the years, I’ve evolved my own definition of my what my queerness means to me. I am incredibly lucky to have a huge network of friends (my chosen family) who I can share my lived experiences with. Having encountered and mentored many LGBTQ+ peers, many who are persons of color and have immigrant families, I know that coming out is a long sometimes painful process that will probably never end. This post is dedicated all those incredible queer POC voices and stories that have yet to be heard- if you resonate with this, I want to say that none of this is easy but that you matter. You may feel loneliness, hunger, and even sometimes shame, but finding the tools for resilience can aide in this journey. 💕 And now for the makeup! Another lippie-dominated PYNK look 👀 PRODUCTS I USED: Eyeliner: MILANI - Color Statement Matte Lipstick Eyeshadow base: MAYBELLINE - Nudes of New York Eyeshadow Palette Eyelid: #EM Cosmetics - True Gloss in Moroccan Sunset[products]# Cheeks: #EM Cosmetics - True Gloss in Moroccan Sunset[products]# Lips: #EM Cosmetics - True Gloss in Moroccan Sunset[products]# Cheers 🌈

Awesome Liquid Lipstick
This liquid lipstick by Maybelline is pretty nice. It’s doesn’t feel heavy on the lips and the wand is a perfect shape for application. Plus, I love this brown color. It’s amazing. Perfectly fits my melanated skin! MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick

Colourpop Sunflower Collection 💛🌻☀️ // A Look
Ugh I am convinced that I need to get an actual camera because I am so pissed that the yellow part in this eye look didn’t show up on camera... my iPhone 10 didn’t pick up the details, but I’ll share this look anyway 🙄 I did an eye look where it is yellow at the top and fades in to a warm brown like a sunflower, but this looks like just a typical baked browns look. Next time I will create a look that is more yellow based so maybe it will actually show up... Anyway, I finally used Colourpop’s new Lil Ray of sunshine palette. The eyeshadows were really powdery and had a lot of kickback, but as I mentioned on my previous post that it doesn’t really bother me because it usually means that the shadows are highly pigmented and it is true...it’s just messy. As an eyeshadow with a lot of kickback, these had minimal fall out. I had to build first row because it hardly showed up on my skin tone, but I love how buildable this eyeshadow is. The creme gel liners were even better on the eyes than when I swatched it. The super shock shadows are up to par with Colourpop’s quality as always. I tried using one of the super shock shadows as a cheek highlighter and while it is beautiful on the lids, it is chunky on the cheeks so it’s not as versatile as other super shock shadows. Overall I enjoyed using these products and I can see myself using this on a regular for the rest of the summer I used: -Happy place (transition) -Sunnies (crease) -Chillin (all over the lid and lower lash) -Sun giant (inner and outer lid) -Super shock shadow in Flower child (Mid lid) -Creme gel liner in Sunnyvale (to tightline lower lash) -Super shock shadow in “In harmony” (inner corner) I used the “it’s always sunny” gloss by itself because I didn’t want to put too much attention on the lips. Love this gloss! It’s a clear gloss with glitter chunks and it smells so good. Thank you for checking this out. I will create another look that focuses more on the yellow eyeshadows in the future Francesca 💋
I never thought I would wear yellow eyeshadow...like EVER, but I HAD to try Colourpop’s “uh-huh honey” palette. At first I thought it was a dupe for UD’s naked honey palette, but I compared both and this is a true yellow eyeshadow while UD is more of a bronze gold/honey toned. 2 palettes are completely different. This look is super simple. I only used 2 brushes (Sigma E35 and E27) and 5 eyeshadows. I used: On beehave (transition and lower lash line) Stinger (crease ) Buzz kill (inner+ outer lid, lower lash line) Sunburst (mid lid) Palooza (mid lid on top of sunburst) Colourpop bff liner in “grande” I have Kylie’s lip gloss in “literally” This is a beautiful palette and it is subtle enough to be used for an everyday soft summer glam. What do you think of yellow eyeshadows? Francesca

In a Nude Mood for National Lipstick Day
So apparently today is national lipstick day. My goal was to wear my “party” liquid lipstick shade which is Kylie Cosmetics matte liquid lipstick in “Koko K”. This is described as a pale pink shade. I am not that in to bold lip shades since I am in to bold eyeshadow looks. Yes, I consider this shade a bold shade. However, when I was doing my eyeshadow, I decided that Koko K didn’t go well with this look so I decided to wear my everyday go-to shade which is Kylie’s matte liquid lipstick in the shade “Dolce K”. I used Colourpop’s nude mood palette. This is a warm toned neutral palette so it made sense to pair it with dolce K, which is a deep beige nude. This is my go-to everyday palette along with the CP “Going Coconuts” palette. It just depends if I want a cool or warm toned look that day. Going coconuts is a cool toned neutral palette. I used: -Bare to wear (transition) -Au natural (crease and lower lash) -The cocoa (deeper outer crease and lower lash) -Moody (outer v) -Lux of Lap (inner kid) -Wink wink (on top of lux of lap) -Bluffin (inner corner and brow bone) This palette is the definition of soft glam in my opinion. As always, I love CP palettes and this one is up to par with the formula. COLOURPOP - Nude Mood Eyeshadow Palette Kylie’s lip kits are controversial, but I’m actually a fan of her lip kits. I think her formula is a hit or miss however. I have a candy K lip kit and that one is very drying on my lips. However, Dolce K and Koko K are amazing. I use concealer before applying and use this with a lip brush to make the shade a little “lighter” KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE Matte Lip Kit Anyway, Happy National Lipstick Day to you all! I’ll try to get out of my comfort zone and post bold lip looks in the future. What lip shade are you wearing today? Francesca 💋

Neutrals with a Pop of Blue 💙
Happy Sunday everyone. The weather in California is disgusting right now so I can’t really do much with face makeup so I wanted to do a look that focuses on the eyes. This look is neutral with a pop of color. I used all my new products from my August BoxyCharm box and I love all of them so far! I used the Ciate London Editor - New England Palette to create this eye look. The palette is full of shimmers and colors such as coral, green, golds and blues. I actually had a hard time coming up with a look because I was just so overwhelmed with the choices. The mattes performed alright, but the shimmers were great! Especially the blue shades. The milk makeup gel liner exceeded my expectations. UD zero liner has been my HG liner for years, but I think this milk liner just replaced it... 🤫 All products I used on this look is posted on my IG if you’re curious 😊 my handle is @ francescadflower Thank you so much for checking this post out Francesca 💋

My favourite all-in-one palette I got in the UK 💗
All in one palette are a great way to have a few of your favourite products or shades in one place. The product I will be reviewing today is the N07 Highlighting palette that I was given for Christmas and is limited edition priced around £10 so be sure to check them out around Christmas as they will be sure to release another similar product. The set includes three shades. One off white shade, baby pink and a rose pink. I would recommend this product for the fairer toned complexion as the shades are so light. The product is exceptionally buildable, which is perfect as it can be so easy to go overboard with blusher and highlight. The pigmentation is most reliable on the off white and rose-pink shades. I notice I often receive compliments from friends who see when I wear these shades. The baby pink, however, is still a great shade though I find it sometimes blends into my skin tone a little too much. Additionally, the product long-lasting and does not smudge, fall or form a strange texture on my skin. This, I believe, is due to the creamy texture of the product, which can blend easily into your foundation. Upon application, it appears like a powder; however, to touch, it feels quite creamy. As all the shades are shimmery, this may not work for those who prefer a matte finish. Overall, for the price of the product and the shades included within the set, I believe it is excellent value for money and the perfect travel product. I would recommend trying out some NO7 products if you have the chance. Boots also offer lots of vouchers for this brand which makes it even easier to put it to the test.
today’s dreamy pink look
i used a ton of new products in this look and i wanted to talk about them! NYX - Faux Whites really nice white color, not super easy to get on. i had to use a little bit of force but once it was on, what a payoff! bh - Take Me Back to Brazil 35 Color Pressed Pigment Palette these colors are gorgeous. i’m not adventurous enough yet for a lot of these shades, but i used a beautiful duo of burgundy red and champagne/bronze along with many of the shades in the Too Faced - Tutti Frutti Razzle Dazzle Berry Eyeshadow Palette pixi - Cheek & Lip Multibalm mine is in the shade Soft Strawberry, and it is so blendable and goes on really nice. i haven’t used a cream blush before and this one is wonderful! MAC - Lustre Lipstick this is creamy and sheer, and is great for layering if you’re looking for a specific look. overall, these products are beautiful! strong recommendation and hope you guys can find some inspiration!
