Curly hair Dreams ✨
I have been recently using these two from Kristin Ess, It always caught my attention when I passed by the hair products at Target so I decided to give it a go on these two styling products! KRISTIN ESS - Ultra Hydrating Curl Leave-In Cream This I usually use to untangle my hair before I style it. It’s a spray that helps to loosen your curls so they can look more hydrated and natural. When the product said cream I expected a literal cream. But this is more of a milky texture. I love the smell, it’s very floral and not too strong!! KRISTIN ESS - Weightless Shine Curl Defining Jelly What I love most about this product is that it hold my curls but it doesn’t make it extremely hard to move. It styles beautifully! It’s a clear gel and it really does what it says! My hair always looks so bouncy and healthy! - These two are amazing! They also have another cream which I’m really excited to try! I feel like for the quality you’re getting, these are pretty affordable! They have for every hair type as well! And the packaging are so cute!
Side braid for the win ✨ #Cheriepartner
Who doesn’t love a cute side braid when you don’t know what hair look to go for? I used to use this hairstyle for work all the time! And it’s super simple!! Step 1 apply your preferred hair styling product. Mine was KRISTIN ESS - Ultra Hydrating Curl Leave-In Cream Step 2 select a medium amount of hair you wanna braid (Also select the side you want it to be) Step 3 braid it not all the way to the end, go about 3/4 of the way. Step 4 pick a cute hair clip to hold the braid in place! Ta daaaaa! This works with all hair types as well! I hope you enjoyed my video! 🤍

Easy Braid into a Bun!
It’s basically a French braid into a bun! It’s super easy and quick! You can spray hairspray into the braided section to make sure it stays, but I’m lazy. . My hair type: I have thick and curly hair! . Tools needed: 2 hair ties (a smaller and larger one) . Steps: 1) Divide hair into side part. 2) Grab 3 sections in the front. 3) Braid them one time. 4) Add more hair to the outer sections. 5) Braid the sections another time. 6) Add more hair to the outer sections. 7) Keep repeating until you get equal with your ear. 8) I pull a little section/tendril out from around my ear so it doesn’t look too harsh. 9) Tie the braid off using a hair tie. 10) Combine hair in the hair tie and the rest of your hair and gather around the bottom of your neck. 11) Twirl together to make a bun.
Three Easy Braided Hairstyles for Curly Hair
This easy dutch braid is my go to for a quick, fun look! Plus it's super versatile - I use it as the base for the three looks in this video. I have thick, curly hair. This style works the best for me on my day 2 or 3 hair - this way it requires very little styling! Here's a quick how to: 1. Part your hair into two rows on the top of your head, this is where your braids will go! 2. Dutch braid (or French braid) these two rows. Both of these braids are easy! Simply start a normal three strand braid, as you braid add small pieces of hair into each strand. 3. From here have fun with it! You can leave these two braids out, add them into a ponytail, go with one top-knot style bun at the top of your head, or go with my favorite style which is the two fun buns! Products Used: IGK - Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel this medium hold gel works well for my second day hair. It isn't strong enough for me to use on my wash and go days, but works really well when I want to restyle or change up my style.

Sleek Bun Tutorial for Curly Hair
As much as I love my curls, sometimes I just want them out of the way! This quick sleek bun is my go to when I want my hair out of my face and especially for nights out! It's a great way to show off your favorite pair of hoops or your perfectly curated chain stack! 1. I started with freshly washed hair, but this style works with second or third day hair too! 2. Brush all your curls back into a bun or ponytail, secure this loosely with a scrunchie. I'm using my Camille Rose - Curlaide Moisture Butter as a leave-in conditioner. 3. Apply gel, I'm using the MIELLE - Moisture RX Hawaiian Ginger Moisturizing Styling Gel it has great hold and doesn't flake! Once gel is applied liberally, using a stiff boar bristle brush, smooth the hair back getting every fly away you can! 4. Resecure your hair with a hair tie, I first do a tight ponytail then use another hair tie to hold my bun. 5. From this point you can either be done or grab your tooth brush and edge control or edge gel you play around with your baby hairs! I like both a sleek edges look or a wavy look! The only gel that works for my edges is got2b - Glued Spiking Glue plus the bottle will last me ages!!

Simple Bun Hairstyle to Avoid Tangles!
Hi everyone! One of the ways that I manage to avoid overproducing tangles or knots in my hair is by doing this simple, upper bun hairstyle WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A BRUSH during the day. For reference, I have type 3A curls and thin hair! I PERSONALLY don’t like using brushes because it flattens and loosens the curls in ONE SECTION of the hair and it just eases tangling if you DON’T BRUSH YOUR HAIR TILL THE END (otherwise you’re just moving the knots closer to the ends, but you’re not REMOVING THEM). Some people also like using gel to also harden the flattened section of the hair, but I don’t like gels and I PERSONALLY prefer the more natural look of my hair when I avoid using the brush. I also think it suits my face structure more because I used to flatten it with a brush and didn’t like at all how tightened and big my face looked. Curls ARE MESSY YET BEAUTIFUL. Notice how I make emphasis of the fact that I’m able to put my fingers in the underneath part. It is important to tighten that part as that is where MOST TANGLING OCCURS. The more you leave that part loose, then more knots will form. Also notice how I TWIST my hair once I start to make the bun. While I don’t tend to sleep with this bun because I use a SATIN CAP, I HIGHLY do not recommend falling asleep with your HAIR LOOSE. I will highly recommend sleeping with this bun if you do not have a satin cap. You WILL SEE A DECREASE IN KNOT FORMATION once you start doing that, I PROMISE. Normally I do this bun whenever I’m stuck at home all day and it’s REALLY HOT. I don’t tend to go out often with this bun, but that’s because of my insecurities when it comes to my hyperpigmentation (yes, I’m working through it); not because I don’t like how the hairstyle looks. Once I get through to that, then I’ll feel more comfortable with going out with this hairstyle. This is the product that I use:aussie - Miracle Curls Refresher Spray Gel . IT IS NOT REALLY A GEL, it is a LIGHTWEIGHT FORMULA or think of it as an OVERDILUTED GEL (emphasis on OVERDILUTED). There’s no need to soak your hair in it as a little will go a long way. Concentrate on also adding it on the underneath part. I tend to use this product before doing this hairstyle because it does a very NICE JOB at smoothing/easing through my hair and helps at not allowing knots to form. You can also use it for styling, even though I don’t. The reason for this is because it still has gel-like properties and I prefer to use milk leave-in conditioners/styling products due to the stronger moisturizing properties. Hope you enjoy!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
