Toners and Serums for Combination-Dry Skin
My skincare routine is not complicated, it goes by toner - eye cream - serum - facial cream. I'll be sharing a few toners and serums with different functions, ranking them by their texture from refreshing to thick and heavy. 1) Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Toner

My fav brand-Estee Lauder
I have been using products from Estee Lauder for almost 6 years, and the serum is a one of my all-time favorites. In all the products, I always go for the Advanced Night Repair collection, because I love the packaging, the scent, and the most importantly, the effective results they bring to my skin. When I have no idea about what to buy, they are the best choices. And today I want to share some products I have been using lately and hope it can be helpful to know this brand. The first product I highly recommend is theESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate. The price is $80 for 20ml, which is a little bit expensive for me because usually you can get 30ml with this price. However, using Chronolux S.O.S. Technology, this serum rescues and resets the look of skin fast, and I can tell the difference especially my skin is under allergy and need repairment. It also has Tripeptide-32, which is a patent ingredient of Estee Lauder and has great antioxidative effects. Besides, it can help with pores, breakouts and make my skin brighter because of salicylic acid and resveratrol inside. I also heard of that the concentration of hyaluronic acid is 15 times of the original one. Even I haven’t use it for a long time, I already repurchase another bottle and you can feel my love for it. The next one is the original Advanced night repairESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex , which is $103 for 50ml, but you can always find promotions. I have been using it for several years and I can feel it make my skin healthier and stronger. This is more liquid than the first one and has a little herbal smell, which makes me feel comfortable and no need to worry about being sensitive. For me, the first concentrate is for emergency and this is more like a daily serum to keep my skin healthy during season changes. The last one is also what I discovered recently, theESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix, which is $70 for 15ml. The formula is nourishing lightweight cream with the 360° Matrix Technology that gives plumping support, and I can feel my eyes are wide opened after massaging my eyes using its applicator. Because I always drink a lot of water at night, using it can effectively reduce puffiness and hydrate my undereye area. I also tried several other products from Estee Lauder, and I think I will continue to be a fan in the future. Hope my experience can be helpful if you are new to this brand.
What I use for emergency skin repair?
Today I want to share my skin routine when I have breakouts before my period, or my skin feels uneven and has small pimples on my face because I eat too much unhealthy foods and stay up late. I usually do this routine no more than five days and I can see the great results. The most important point is “less is more”, so I would only use one repairing product and focus on moisturizing so that there won’t be too much burden for my skin. For the first step, I will apply a moisturizing skin lotion with a cotton pads, which will help me clean the skin better. I use the Eudermine Revitalizing Essence from Shiseido, and I think you can choose any lotion you like if the ingredients are simple. After wiping my face and neck, I will use it one more time without cotton pads to give my skin a good base for the next step. The next product I use is the Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate from Estee Lauder. Using Chronolux S.O.S. Technology, this treatment rescues and resets the look of skin fast, and I can tell the difference in one night! This product has Tripeptide-32, which is a patent ingredient of Estee Lauder and has great antioxidative effects. The salicylic acid and resveratrol inside can help with pores, breakouts and make the skin brighter and more stable. Besides, dimethicone, squalene and hyaluronic acid are for moisturizing, so if you have oily skin, you can omit cream afterwards. The last step for me is moisturizer. I use the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb from Belif. I really love this brand, and they have different texture of moisturizer. If you have combination or oily skin, the Water Bomb is also a great choice if your expectation is only stay hydrated all day and all night. Because I don’t want to have too much products on my face when my skin is sensitive, so keeping my skin hydrated is the most important thing for me. And this product does a great job. So that is my skincare routine when I need emergency repair and I would only use this routine when needed and go back to my normal routine after I feel better. Hope it can be helpful for you too.

Finally trying Laneige lip mask
Worth the hype? I love lip balm so I really wanted to try the laneige lip mask that I’ve heard so much about it. I wasn’t super pumped about the price. $22 is a lot for a lip balm😂 but I actually found this at TJmaxx for $15 so I decided to pick it up! I used it last night and I absolutely love how the texture feels on my lips. It stays on for a long time and doesn’t soak in right away which I love. I would say the only downside is the price! Is it completely necessary? No, but it is a nice treat and it will last a long time😊 LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
5 for the Season - Fall Favorites 🍁
🌞Yes I know technically fall ended about a week ago (...week ago) and I’ve DEF been slippin on my pimpin but to be fair, there isn’t a huge difference in temperature when it comes to SoCal. That being said, even though the sun is shining and the weather is warm, we still experience a fair amount of dryness with the drop in humidity levels, fire season 🔥, and Santa Ana winds. Fighting dryness and promoting hydration is always my number one goal this time of year. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask theeeee best lip 👄 mask EVER! I only ever purchase the original berry flavor, but this is great at not only conditioning the lips, but also holds a large amount of moisture and hydration on the lips. I’d be interested to hear how the other flavors or “shades” work. Holler at ya girl. - 5.5 Licorice PH Balancing Cleansing Toner I can’t even begin to count exactly how many bottles of this I have gone through. It has become one of the major and nonnegotiable items in my routine. I live in an urban area apartment complex, and unfortunately we have hard water. Hard water can strip your face and throw off your skin’s pH level. No matter what cleanser I’m using, I always feel tight and dry. 🌵 I wipe this on my face, neck, and décolleté area. Not only does this balance the pH level and hydrate my skin, but the licorice root is AMAZING when it comes to preventing dark spots and healing acne scars. I scar SO easily and this, coupled with my vitamin C, has helped my acne marks heal twice as fast. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream my FAV, no frills moisturizer! I don’t rely on moisturizers for anything other thanmoisture. I leave all treatments to my serums and masks. I always use this as my nighttime moisturizer to lock in my serums, but since it’s colder 🥶(relatively lol) and drier in the fall, I get to save some funds 💵 and I use this day and night. I typically buy the mini because it’s in a squeeze tube and I’m extremely paranoid about dipping my fingers in tubs of products (hello bacteria 🦠.) Since I recently found a set of adorable silver and gold metal spoons made for cosmetics I finally purchased the big tub. So much bang for your buck! MAC - MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Finishing Mist 💕 💕 💕 this is by far my favorite setting spray. I always try new ones when they come out, and I always run back to MAC. In the summer I alternate between setting spray and setting powder (you do not need both!!!) but once the dry weather of fall hits 🍂 I won’t let setting powder touch my face and I rely solely on Fix+ since setting powder tends to be much more drying. Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil the most underrated product. I continued using this after I had my son for fall and winter dry skin. I wear at night under my body lotion and on days when I shave 🪒, I use this like an aftershave right after I get out of the shower.

“Tone” down the hype on this one
Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Toner In my search for more hydration, but trying to keep the oil production at bay on my face, I tried this toner. Not impressed. The hydration felt surface level only and made me more greasy.
Sephora Sale: tried & true with some new! 🛍
If you haven’t yet stopped by Sephora for the holiday sale, make sure you do! The sale ends 11/9 and Beauty Insiders get 10% off, VIBs have 15% off, and Rouges have 20% off! Shop soon to take advantage of the sale for holiday shopping or a treat for yourself! TATCHA - The Liquid Silk Canvas: Featherweight Protective Primer - I absolutely love this primer! As a person with combination skin, I try to not use heavy primers so that my pores aren’t clogged and my makeup doesn’t last, but this primer is so light. In addition to making your skin look great by blurring pores and lines while reducing oil, the floral fragrance and packaging are beautiful. On light makeup days, I love wearing this, spot concealer, and a light round of setting powder as a base. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Toner - This is a new find for me that I picked up the other day and have already seen incredible results from! My typical combination skin has been dry in patches on my forehead and nose making it hard for me to wear foundation and or see any effects from my other skincare products. I decided to change my toner after seeing some reviews of this online and I’m so glad I picked it up. The fragrance is minimal, if any at all, and the hydrating properties are simply incredible. My skin feels smooth and the dry flakes have vanished over two days. Yesterday, I was able to wear my foundation for the first time since the summer without my skin feeling tight or having to slather on moisturizer. If you struggle with dry skin, take advantage of the squalane in this toner to revamp your skin! NARS - Soft Matte Complete Concealer - I purchased this concealer after hearing Mikayla rave about it on tik tok and needing a replacement for my benefit - Benefit Boi-Ing Industrial Strength Concealer that I’ve used for about a year! In comparing the NARS and Benefit, the NARS concealer has about twice the product! I’m incredibly pleased with this concealer’s ability to blend into the skin, be matte while not drying, and the pot packaging! If you’re looking for something to coverup a spot here and there, this is it. fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Oil-Infused Serum - I have an undying love for fresh products that began with thefresh - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 about two years ago. Since then, I have tried thefresh - Rose Face Mask , fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner , fresh - Lotus Anti- Aging Daily Moisturizer , and many more. This product is no exception and is one that is hydrating while not greasy. I’m totally aware that oil in the name can be unappealing, but it provides a nice healthy glow, softens, soothes, and absorbs so quickly. This is great face serum/oil that I recommend to people with dry, combination, normal skin and those who are not sensitive to fragrance.
Drugstore dupe for Neutrogena Hydrogel?? 😱
A little background: After trying out the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream earlier this year, I’ve been searching for a cheaper, drugstore dupe for broke students like myself who have dryer skin but still want the ultra-light, non greasy hydration that the Neutrogena Water Gel provides. I was hoping that at its slightly less steep price point, the e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream would do the trick, but I was disappointed to find a few key issues that made the product not worth it for me: 🤔 greasy texture: the elf cream tended to sit on top of my skin instead of absorbing into it 🤔 not non-comedogenic?? although i didn’t experience this myself, other users have found that this product causes them to break out, so those with sensitive skin beware!! 🤔 contains dimethicone, so it’s not suitable for those who prefer silicone-free products Overall, although the product does provide lasting moisture, I found myself consistently choosing the Neutrogena over the elf moisturizer and probably wouldn’t purchase it again!

Travel Day Routine + VS Pink Outfits
There will be times when we are not in the mood to go through the whole process of skincare. And I found this usually coincides with my traveling time. Imagine that sis, after a long day of walking and sightseeing, all you wanna do is lying on bed and have a good rest. Yet totally giving up on skincare is not wise. Yep, cause we need to look good in pictures. And here are two products I usually use after a long day and I would feel assured having applied them on my face. Then I would have a good sleep with sweet dreams. 💕 · Lancôme’s tonique confort LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner I am also having this one in its travel size but I found 50ml could actually last a long time. This is ideal for dry skin: it has Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, and Honey in its ingredients. They are good ones for moisturizing the skin, which usually lacks moisture after a long-wearing full makeup. I usually apply it with a cotton pad and I would do it twice, one for double cleansing and one for deep moisturizing. It is also with a light fragrance that is quite soothing. I feel assured that my face gets cared for with this thick hydrating toner. · Elizabeth Arden’s retinol ceramide capsules. Elizabeth Arden - Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum Girls, what could be better for traveling than these sérums carried in a capsule? Easily to take them with you for traveling: just count how many days you will be out and take how many capsules with you! It is obviously clarified that this serum features retinol and ceramide, double functions of removing lines, and boosting moisture. Sometimes I would use two capsules and give it a long and good message lying on the bed. The next morning I would find my face brightening and with better skin texture, ready for makeup. I totally recommend these two for those bothered by dryness while traveling and these small sizes will greatly reduce your burden: lightweights beauty is readily available!

HIGH STREET SUPERSTARS If you’re looking to switch things up and focus on a skincare routine based around layers of hydration like I use DAILY, these are the steps I would recommend... First cleanse - super.facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil another fab one is the Simple Hydrating Oil Cleanser Second Cleanse/Morning Cleanse - cerave Hydrating Cleanser. Or if you have oily skin you may prefer the Foaming version. Toner - This product from sukinskincare is a mist toner and amazing as a first step for layering hydration. You can also use it to sandwich your serum! Essence - this is becoming a more popular step in western skincare following the lead from the Koreans... and this product from elfcosmetics is in my opinion THE best essence on the High St. An essence helps prep your skin for serums to be absorbed and adds an extra layer of hydration! Serum - This little bottle from superdrug has been mentioned a lot on my page and with good reason because it’s AMAZING! Probably the best value product out there and I urge EVERYONE to try it... packed with hyaluronic acid for plumping out those fine lines, ceramides for rebuilding the skins moisture barrier and perfect for all skin types. Eye Cream - I LOVE my kiehls Avocado Eye cream and although this product from boots own brand Expert Skincare isn’t a ‘dupe’ it’s a lovely hydrating eye cream with avocado oil. Oil - All skin types can benefit from using an oil, I use one morning and night but if you are oily you may prefer to only use at night, this one from deciem The Ordinary is perfect for all skin types! 100% Plant Derived Squalane is a super lightweight oil that melts into the skin and doesn’t ever feel heavy or greasy Moisturiser - weleda Skin Food is my all time favourite for sealing all these layers of hydration in... there’s also the light version which may suit oily skin better. Other recommendations for high st moisturisers are the cerave PM Facial Moisturiser and The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors.

My Current Skin Routine! ✨
Hello! 👋🏻 My First Post! I want to post what cleansers I’ve been using separately since I use quite a few 😇 This is everything I do after cleansing and towel drying my face. I also feel like it’s super important to wait at least 60 seconds between each product to really give them a moment to soak and work into the skin. I use a hand fan to speed up the process! My whole skin care routine prolly takes about 15-20 minutes 😅🤪 ✨ Estée Lauder Soft Clean ~ this is what I’m currently using as a toner. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite, but I also don’t hate it. It leaves the face feeling super firm. It’s a very moisturizing toner. I like to try new things and always have different toners in my routine and I would say my favorite to this day is still Avedas exfoliant which I’ll be purchasing after I use this bad boy up! I just apply a small amount of my toner to a cotton round and apply it to my face, neck, and chest. ✨ Shiseido ultimune power infusing concentrate ~ I’m embarrassed that I’ve rebought this 3 times considering its price point but it is LIQUID GOLD. My skin is never truly at its best without this in my routine! This serum helps in fortifying the skin to help in its ability to defend itself against life’s daily hardships (sun, air pollution), reduce aging, and has amazing ingredients in it that leaves the skin stronger, and healthier. All you need is one full pump, which is barely a half a drop, that will be plenty for your face, neck, and chest. ✨ Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream ~ this moisturizer was just introduced back into my life a few weeks ago when I realized it may be a drug store dupe for Clinique’s Moisture Surge 😍😍 it’s just as moisturizing and DEFINITELY beats their price point! The oil-free, light weight formula leaves the face feeling super hydrated and supple. ✨ Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff ~ omgggg I will NEVER buy another under eye cream (I probably will.. but this is my FAVORITE). I have never found and under eye cream that actually illuminates my under eyes the way this one does! It makes me not even want to wear makeup which is something I NEVER say! Wearing this under makeup only makes the look 100% more flawless!! I also believe it’s super important to apply your under eye cream with your ring finger in a tapping motion. The skin underneath your eyes is so incredibly delicate so I would try to pay attention to how hard you are rubbing your face/eyes when applying your products ESPECIALLY when removing makeup!!! 💘💘💘
MARIO BADESCU-Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea
When Raindrops Fell🌨
This toner is super hydrating! I began using this product about a year or two ago (fun fact: this was my first toner EVER... awww) and now I just picked it up again. I still have no bad things to say about it! It’s really hydrating, it has more of a milky consistency, and for $16 I really can’t complain. This is one of the cheaper Kiehl’s products and I think it flies under the radar a lot. This is a good basic toner, and if you want a solid boost this is a good one to check out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Toner

Empties! Products that I will repurchase
Hi! So here are the products that I bough earlier this year and have already used up! They are really worth trying and I will definitely repurchase!😍 La Mer the treatment lotionLA MER - The Treatment Lotion It's most suitable for dry skin. It has a slippery texture and thick consistency. It feels sticky on the face when it's first applied. It's very moisturizing, so you don't really need to apply anything else after using it. L'Oréal Hydrafresh Genius Water I bought this toner when I was travelling in Singapore last winter. It has a slight exfoliating effect and can be used on all skin types except for sensitive skin. I like the texture because it's refreshing like water and it can also be absorbed fairly quickly. But I think it's not as easy to find in America. If you can find it, buy it. You won't be let down. 😉 IOPE Moisturizing Lotion Set Also bought in Singapore. This is a moisturizing and hydrating set that's suitable for all skin types. The texture of the water and the lotion are both refreshing and can be easily absorbed, especially the lotion. It does not leave my skin feeling sticky after it's applied and it's also suitable for oily skin. It's quite worth its price but it's not alcohol-free, so those who are adamant about alcohol-free products should not buy this.
