But Is it Worth Your Money?
I love anything that provides my skin with extra hydration and I'm a big fan of toners. Whether it be applied with a cotton pad or my hands, that holy water is heavenly once it hits my skin. All that said, I'm new to the concept of mists and with the rising hype of rosewater, I figured I would give this product a shot. HERBIVORE - Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Mist So let's start with the good. The packaging is great and the mist sprays very finely to avoid wasting too much product. This is pretty clean product with a minimal ingredient list that includes: Aloe Water Rose Water Hibiscus Extract Coconut Fruit Powder Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid are also included. The first reason that I only give it 3 stars is that I didn't find the performance to be anything special. Yes, it feels refreshing when you spray it but the water evaporates instead of penetrating which only causes further dehydration if you don't quickly apply a serum or cream. The second reason is the price. For 120ml you're looking at $42 CAD which is a lot of money for a fairly basic product. I have seen rosewater mists at nutrition stores for a much cheaper price (also organic ones) and I don't see how you can't get the same benefits. I would also recommend, if you like the mists, to just try a thermal water spray if you want a refresher throughout the day. My final conclusion is that I will not be repurchasing this product but will be reusing the cute glass bottle it comes in. Overall, meh. Try it if you must but don't expect much more than a good spray.

The Right Toner In The Wrong Season
What I'm about to say is more of a reflection of me and not the actual product. I probably should have figured this might not be exactly what I need when I read "refreshing" in the actual name but instead I focused on the 98% natural part, which I thought was kind of interesting. PAULA'S CHOICE - Earth Sourced Purely Natural Refreshing Toner 118ml Ok, so right off the bat, this is very lovely toner. The consistency is almost like a light gel essence type. Very light fluid and blends into the skin fairly quickly. This toner claims to be 98% natural and contains some really great ingredients including: cranberry seed oil sweet almond oil grapeseed extract dill extract chamomile green tea oat extract olive oil It packs a punch with antioxidants and skin soothing ingredients. The only problem I have is that it's just not moisturizing enough for my current winter skin but I would absolutely purchase this again in the summer months. If winter doesn't affect your overactive sebaceous glands, then please give this a try because it's perfect for oily and sensitive skin. A clean beauty product that actually works and I totally give it a thumbs up.

Anti-Aging for Sensitive Skin
Now most people think of anti aging and grab products with a high amount of active ingredients in them to ensure they're getting the maximum amount of benefits The reality is that too many actives normally result in a damaged skin barrier that can only cause your skin to look further aged and fragile. For this reason, it's important to give actives a break and focus on soothing and gentle ingredients that will help sensitive skin looking youthful and fresh. Here are 2 examples of exceptional products that are perfect for gentle anti aging. PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum I am fully satisfied with how nourished and hydrated my skin feels after putting this on. Some of the key ingredients include chia and flaxseed oils for those rich Omega fatty acids, which do wonders for your skin. This is also followed by olive oil and a bunch of ceramides. Perfect for a compromised barrier or overall sensitivity FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream Also very impressed with this product. The perfect nighttime emollient cream to leave your skin feeling buttery soft and plump the next day. The formula contains shea butter, oatmeal, jojoba esters and peptides for the perfect overnight repair. I would 100% recommend these for people with sensitive skin, dry skin, or damaged skin. I will certainly be repurchasing these as well.

Cool Texture, Bad Product
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream Safe for Sensitive Skin This is my first time trying the First Aid Beauty brand after hearing many good things and while I'm not going to bash the brand, let me start by saying that I HATE this product. I was very intrigued to try it because the texture seemed unique and innovative, so I assumed a superior formula would follow. I was wrong. Let's start with the good, since there's not much here. Pros Fragrance free Sensitive skin friendly (apparently) contains oxygen (if that means anything to you) also contains some fatty acids, ceramides, licorice root and fever few extracts Cons It burns! How is it that a cream said to repair a damaged skin barrier feel so bloody irritating? It's literally called a "barrier" cream. The nerve! It dried out my skin. Winter is upon us and this cream robbed the little moisture I had left on my face. I am now a prune. Pilling on this is crazy. Do not use this if you plan on doing a full face of makeup. The smell is awful! I don't like fragrance in my products but they normally just don't smell like anything. This smells like melted plastic. I would not recommend this for any skin type and will not be repurchasing this product. I am hoping the rest of the line has better products for sensitive skin.

Stay Away From Stay Naked
If you plan on using this foundation, you better be a sheer coverage girl because layering this product is a nightmare. It claims to be buildable coverage but if you attempt this, it will go streaky and get cakey very quickly. I have given this foundation many chances, with primer and various different types of moisturizers and the result is the same. Once it settles, I find the finish to be dull and flat. That's pretty much all I have to say about this product and needless to say I'm in the market for a new foundation. Does anyone have any suggestions? What are some of your favourites?

Super skincare combos!! ❤️
I keep this chart handy when I have certain skin issues! My favorite pairing on this chart is...... Retinol + Niacinamide 💞💞 These two were absolutely made for each other!! Niacinamide can help reduce the redness and the irritation many experience when using retinols. Niacinamide can also enhance retinols therapeutic effects!! Here is how to make the most out of this match! Use niacinamide twice a day for a couple of weeks prior to starting treatment with retinol. Continue to use niacinamide as a ‘buffer’ during treatment with retinol. Niacinamide and retinol can be used together with a five-minute gap between application but are likely to be just as effective if you use them at separate times of the day. If you are applying niacinamide and retinol together at the same time then it is best to apply the niacinamide FIRST if it is in the form of a serum or LAST if it is in the form of a moisturizer. Always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily when using retinol (you should be using sunscreen daily anyway). If you aren’t using sunscreen honestly there isn’t really a point to try and combat anti-aging etc. If you are new to retinols, it’s best to start by using once a week and you can work up to more from there. Especially if you have sensitive skin ❤️ What’s your favorite pairing from this chart? 🤔
How I keep my long hair healthy!
Some background on my hair: My hair is naturally straight. I naturally have dirty blonde hair and I used to get highlights up until about 5/6 years ago. I now dye my hair to the color seen in the pictures above. I do not dye my hair very often, but damage can occur with dyeing in general, so keeping my hair healthy is important to me! it's a 10 haircare - Leave-In Conditioner Spray Product I use this product almost everytime I wash my hair (I alternate between this and olaplex). This keeps my hair soft, smooth, and moisturized. I love it! OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme this product has saved my hair from breakage and has made my hair super strong. You just need to be careful not to use too much because when I do it feels like I didn’t wash all the conditioner out of my hair. This product is amazing!! MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment this oil keeps my hair moisturized and shiny. I have used a lot of hair oils in the past and I’ve always come back to this one! JOSIE MARAN - 100% Pure Argan Oil I don’t wash my hair very often (only about 3 times a week to prevent over stripping). The night before it’s time to wash my hair I put a good amount of this stuff through my hair and sleep with it in. After I wash it out, I really do feel my hair is softer and shinier. Wet brush - Wet Original Brush I have used wet brushes for a while now and I really do think they make a difference. Hair tends to break off the most when it’s wet, so it’s important to be careful. These brushes are great at getting out tangles and making sure the hair stays healthy. Tips: -I try not to use too much heat on my hair, which really does make a difference -I trim my hair about every 4/5 months (only the very ends) to make sure my hair looks nice at the ends -I use silk pillow cases which help prevent breakage -I use hair towel turbans because towels can be stripping and cause breakage -use a hair mask once a week -use a scalp brush in the shower twice a week (helps get dry shampoo out of my roots and exfoliates). Of course everyone’s hair is different and not all products work for every hair type! These are just the products that have helped me reach my hair goals of having healthy, strong, and shiny hair! I hope this was helpful :)

HOW I GREW MY SHORT EYELASHES✨
Product: GRANDE COSMETICS - GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum Key ingredients: -L-Proline: An amino acid essential to healthy, fortified lashes. -Hyaluronic Acid: Conditions and protects to prevent breakage and brings hydration to dry, brittle, or damaged lashes. -Botanical Extract Blend: A powerful combination of nutrient and antioxidant rich compounds derived from natural sources (ginseng root, chamomile flowers, and bearberry leaves); strengthens the lash follicle. -Glycosaminoglycans: Locks in moisture and boosts lash resiliency and luster. What it does: “A cult-favorite lash enhancing serum that promotes the appearance of longer, thicker looking lashes in four to six weeks, with full improvement in as little as three months.” - Sephora Why I bought: I always wanted to try this product out but was skeptical. I bought this on Amazon prime day for about 2/3 of the cost. There was lots of mixed reviews on the product— some saying it caused allergic reactions and some seeing amazing results so I didn’t know what to expect. How to use: Sweep the brush on the lids above the lash line (do not apply directly to your lashes.) Use every night. Results: The first day I used this I was afraid I was going to have an allergic reaction because I have sensitive skin. I saw horror stories of people’s eyes turning red, swollen and some causing bumps. I followed the instructions and did not have any allergic reactions. My first two weeks using the product I thought I could see small results but the product says optimum results 2 months in. Today was the 2 month mark of using this lash serum and I cannot believe the results! I did not know my natural, short lashes could grow to this length! I have heard that when you stop using this product your lashes can start to fall out so that would be one side effect if true. For right now I will continue to use this product until the bottle is empty. Would I repurchase? I would repurchase because the results are amazing but I would love to use a more natural product if it were to deliver similar results. (I recently bought a natural lash serum from Etsy and can’t wait to give it a try after this serum is empty.) I have posted pictures comparing before grande lash serum, 1 month with grande lash serum and 2 months with grande lash serum. I would love to here your experiences with lash serums! 💭⬇️

⚠️You need SPF and I have the one for you⚠️
ok I’ve got to bring it up, I’ve seen several posts now with ladies skincare routines trying to be minimal and missing out on the SPF. So I’m going to remind you why SPF is important. First let’s heres the tip 3 reasons I hear behind not using SPF 1. I don’t get lots of sun where I’m from 2. It’s oily and causes me to break out 3. I can only find sunscreen with fragrance Most of us are on here looking for skincare that hydrates and combats aging. But the sun is the number 1 most dangerous thing for your skin. It’s UV rays cause wrinkles, dehydrates the skin, loss of firmness and dullness, it can cause cancer as well as sun spots. Not using SPF then buying all these anti aging and moisturizing products is counter intuitive. You need to focus more on protecting and preventing than healing. Products with SPF protect you from all this. ❌75% of skin aging is due to environmental factors❌ Just because you may live in a colder or less sunny climate does not mean the UV rays are less than somewhere always sunny, this is a myth. The sun rays are equally as strong so it is still important to protect yourself even during the winter or in those climates There are many creams that are available that don’t leave your skin greasy or smelling like sunscreen and can be worn under makeup ✅L'Occitane's skincare range uses innovative and tailored formulae to provide hydration while remaining light and comfortable to wear. ✅Precious and Divine face creams, for example, have been reinforced with SPF to be worn under makeup or alone, with none of the residual shine or stickiness that are often associated with SPF. 🧴THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION RECOMMENDS USING SPF OF AT LEAST 15 EVERYDAY - And strongly urge you to reapply every two hours if you are in direct sunlight 🧴THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF DERMATOLOGY RECOMMENDS USING SPF OF AT LEAST 30. 🌟top sunscreens🌟 Best Overall: Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 35 PA+++ -$65 Best for Sensitive Skin: Elta MD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 - $35 Best for Acne-Prone Skin: Dermalogica Oil-Free Matte Broad-Spectrum SPF 30 - $55 Best Lightweight: Supergoop!
