5 Step Skincare Routine?!?!

avatar
CaraScott
Everyone always asks me what is your skincare routine. I get a little hesitant to tell them because I do not want to overwhelm them with my 5-6 step routine. But who am I to make the decision for them. Here is my full skincare routine with my favorite skin care products at the moment. Step 1: I cleanse with my @tatchabeauty Deep Cleanse. You can use this gel cleaner everyday. It's great for normal to oily skin and has a natural fruit exfoliant to get deep and clean out all the dirt in your skin. Step 2: I use the @goodmolecules Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches I do not do this step all the time but maybe once or twice a week. These eye patches are amazing. They hydrate, firm and energize tired eyes. They come in handy whenever I've had a long without sleep. I put these babies on the next day and I look like I’ve had a full night of sleep. Step 3: I tone my skin with the @goodmolecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner. This tone is my holy grail. I have seen a major difference in the brightness of my skin. I usually gently swipe the toner over my skin with a cotton pad and let dry before I move onto the next step. Step 4 : Serum. My go to serum at the moment is the @goodmolecules Discoloration Correcting Serum. This has helped me tremendously with the hyperpigmentation around my mouth and cheeks. I do not know what I would do with this serum and definite must have. Step 5: Last but not least I finish my routine with @tatchabeauty Water Cream. I love how light weight it is. It does not leave the skin weighted down with product not to mention the amazing scent of wild rose. I’m obsessed. This is perfect for normal to oily skin and great for minimizing your pores.

What’s In My Fridge? ❄️
Here’s a look at what I have in my fridges these days - yes, I have two because I really enjoy chilled skincare that much! A lot of people ask if there are actual skincare benefits for storing your skincare in a fridge, or if it helps preserve the shelf life of your skincare products - It is simply for aesthetic purposes. I enjoy the cooling, soothing sensation it enhances; it adds to the experience when I am applying my skincare routine. In fact, I have read blogs where dermatologists discuss how it is not necessary to store skincare in a fridge as it does not make the products any more effective than they already are. As for extending or preserving shelf life, research has shown that only a slight extension of shelf life would occur with certain ingredients like retinol, but nothing to make you stop what you’re doing & splurge if you don’t have the extra funds available. I don’t know if it’s just in my head, but I do see a difference with treating puffiness & redness when using a chilled product vs room temperature. 💙 I store a lot of my Drunk Elephant staples that I enjoy chilled, a few other moisturizers / serums & eye creams that I like chilled as well. Eye creams & eye patches are my favorite chilled as it really helps with de-puffing the eye area, especially in the morning! Let me know down below what you have in your skincare fridge! ❄️

My favorite serums for every need!
Ones for skin texture. Ones for firming/hydration. Ones for discoloration. I have acne combo skin! One of my biggest difficulties is acne and the marks that they leave behind! NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% is for skin texture and controlling oil/sebum, and pore reducing. It also can have some moisturizing benefits so I like to use when I use my rerun-A. The texture is gel-like and it isn’t sticky at all. It’s pretty smooth and creamy. I like using this as an active, right after my toner. primera - Wild Seed Firming Serum is new to me but so far I love it so much! It is creamy and almost milky but it goes on the skin so well and gives a really pretty glow to the skin. It has a ton of skin loving ingredients and is packed with nutrients. I use this as an extra hydration step and I also put it under my eyes to help with fine lines. It is supposed to help with firming the skin and boosting elasticity. GOOD MOLECULES - Discoloration Correcting Serum is a holy grail already! It’s a newer product to the brand but this stuff works SO good. It is tranexamic acid (cetyl tranexamate mesylate) and 4% niacinamide, this lightweight serum improves the appearance of age spots, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage. I mainly use this at night and if my skin is irritated I will use it as a spot treatment on my hyperpigmentation spots. #cheriepartner

My favorite serums ! AM & PM
The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 My favorite serum is hyaluronic acid . Why ? It alleviates dry skin . Reduces the size of your pores . Provides additional hydration After cleansing I apply this serum first . The ordinary is my favorite brand because of its effectiveness and price. The most important factor in choosing a serum is knowing what I need the most and knowing my skin type . I apply this in the am and the pm. GOOD MOLECULES - Discoloration Correcting Serum Main ingredient : Also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface I’ve been using this for about a month and a half and I see improvements . This goes on after my The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 . I use this in the am and pm everyday . The price of this product is only 12 bucks . Formulated with an advanced form of tranexamic acid (cetyl tranexamate mesylate) and 4% niacinamide. This lightweight serum improves the appearance of age spots, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage. I’ve seen major improvements . Comment a heart it you would like to see my improvements . Slowly. Last but not least I love pixi - Rose Oil Blend because it’s super moisturizing . Vitamin e is a great because it helps support the immune system, cell function, and skin health. It's an antioxidant, making it effective at combating the effects of free radicals produced by the metabolism of food and toxins in the environment. Vitamin E may be beneficial at reducing UV damage to skin. Rosehip oil is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which are integral for tissue and cell regeneration in the skin. It's no wonder that the oil has long been used as a folk remedy for wound healing, as well as the reduction of scars and fine lines. Antioxidants are great for people with hyperpigmentation . It treats the damaged skin cells . This is the last step in my serum regimen and I use it at least four times a week .

My new favorite toner
This GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner recently came into my life and I am so happy that it did. I’ve dealt with acne scars for quite a while and this is one of the only products to actually show results of them slowly going away. I typically use this in the morning after washing my face and then I follow up with my serum and moisturizer. It’s an incredibly lightweight texture with absolutely no stickiness and you really do need such a small amount to cover your entire complexion. I’ve only been using it for about two weeks and I’m already stunned at the difference that it’s made. Plus the entire line is incredibly affordable for the results that you get. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this toner for anyone who is dealing with dull skin, dark spots or post acne scarring!

Ingredient Spotlight: Niacinamide
Niacinamide has been a “hot” ingredient for a while now - and for good reason! Niacinamide, which is a form of vitamin B-3, has many benefits including: •reducing the appearance of irritation •calm redness •improve the visibility of pores over time •oil regulation •improve skin texture over time •help soothe the appearance of acne and prevent future breakouts •improve fine lines and wrinkles over time •support a healthy skin barrier I have been using some form of niacinamide in my skincare courting for about a year and a half. My first niacinamide product was the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner , which I’ve since used up and repurchased. This toner also contains vitamin C to help brighten skin & reduce pores’ visibility. The odorless, watery texture absorbs quickly. It can be used 2x/day but I generally use 1x in the AM. My skin genuinely missed this when I didn’t have it. My skin looked a bit dull and I had some breakouts. It truly brightens my complexion and does help reduce pore visibility over time. $14 on brand’s website or Beautylish Serums are also a great way to add niacinamide into your routine. The insta natural - Niacinamide Serum is a newer addition to my routine, but I’m so impressed. This was gifted to me by the brand. I’ve been using it regularly 1x in the PM after toner for just over a month now. I lock it in with moisturizer and occasionally face oil. This serum is extra awesome, especially for super dry skin like mine, because it contains hyaluronic acid, rosemary extract, avocado oil, and vitamin E. It does smell a bit like rosemary, but does not linger. The milky texture feels so soothing, especially when my skin is irritated and extra dry. My skin looks visibly more calm and is generally clear. The reason I love this is because niacinamide *can* be irritating for some (esp. super dry or sensitive types). I previously used The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (used up - no photo, $6) and would experience a mild burning sensation when applied over irritated + flaky spots. It also left my face super tacky and sometimes caused pilling of products on top. I don’t recommend that one for dry or sensitive skin, and wouldn’t repurchase. The Instanatural serum does not do any of those things. It will be in my routine long-term! Plus, it’s affordable at $18 (brand’s website) and comes in a 2oz bottle. Also available on Amazon ~ $16 All brands mentioned are cruelty-free (CF), and Instanatural is leaping bunny certified (a gold standard for CF products). Please note that I am not a skincare expert. Consult your dermatologist before introducing new ingredients to your routine. #CheriePartner

Cleansing oil, kose it or loose it?
KOSE COSMEPORT - SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing Oil This bit$& let me down. I had high hopes. This product did not clean off make up as well as it claimed and I didn’t see any added benefits to my pores, skin, anything. I used the product for a month and nope nothing..... It has a weird olive oil scent which in all tranparency made me a bit nauseous🤢 TMI and it didn’t pair well with a hyluranic acid cleanser CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I usually like to start with a cleansing oil then a foam cleanser. The oil also blocked pores and wasn’t fun to use. Also if you have CYSTIC acne I wouldn’t suggest this. And if you are having a bad day this kinda makes it worse in other words. If you are under a lot of stress(about to get real here) it doesn’t pair well with tears lol yes. The back story of this is that college life and relationships get to us. And an important face wash and moisturizer in my opinion take away stress from the face. However, the PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser that I switched to seemed to be sufficient enough for cleaning my skin and giving my skin a good protective barrier, however, if I put on my full face of make up then I need something to take away my powdered donut, so TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser is unreal, how much grime, and make up it will take off with such a small amount. But for a cheaper alternative CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser but for this you should follow up with an exfoliant. I personally, have dry skin at the moment without makeup, so I have to be careful what I use because a lot of products strip everything from my skin. Okay lastly, I personally believe oil cleansing before a foam cleanser is not for everyone. Because I have seen some people have great success and me not so much. But in my experience learning how to exfoliate and cleanse your face is key. And truly understanding your face is key. I’m other words, focus on what your face needs. I feel that face masks twice a week that are for My SKIN conditions are vital to a nice well rounded well shall we say just great looking skin and let me just last note that this is too cool for school - Pumpkin 24K Gold Mask a holy of holy grails. This was incredible! Incredible! Incredible. Treat yourself and find relaxation you deserve it..

🍬🍃TATCHA MINIS HAUL🍃🍬
💜This is a recent Tatcha haul I scooped from Sephora with my VIB discount & saved up points, but I definitely placed an order today on tatcha.com to take advantage of their 20% off sale. Such a good time to purchase from Tatcha! I grabbed a couple old 5 star favorites like the Gold Spun lip balm & their Japanese blotting papers, as well as some other things I’ve been wanting to check out. Tatcha is actually an American brand, made in Japan🇯🇵, that adheres to Japan’s official safety & purity standards, one of the highest in the world, much stricter than the US (for more on that, check out my last post, or the 2015 documentary on Netflix called Stink) They were recently acquired by Unilever, so I hope they don’t ever change their standards! Tatcha sources all of their botanical extracts, ingredients & actives from plants grown in the most renowned provenances of Japan. 🍵🍚🌊Their formulas revolve around key ingredients Green Tea, Rice & Seaweed, the trinity of superfoods, rich in both nutrients & Japanese history, based on a Japanese document from 1813 which captured the beauty rituals of the time. ➕Their 2x fermented ‘Hadasei-3 complex’ yields over 85 actives like Enzymes, Minerals, Lactic & Amino Acids. It’s been a couple years since I’ve purchased Tatcha products, I’ve always loved their face creams, but we all know Tatcha is pricey!!! I think I was just always into moving on & trying something new, but oh how I missed them! I haven’t had as much luck with Tatcha cleansers in the past, I do adore their rice polish exfoliators 🍚 but personally was never a fan of the ‘One Step Camellia cleansing oil’ scent. I don’t think I’ve ever tried ‘The Deep Cleanse’ but I’m actually most excited to try their new cream cleanser: ‘The Rice Wash’🍚💦 I was also excited to finally try ‘The Silk Peony melting eye cream’ too, so this set was a no brainer! TATCHA - Pure & Glowing Trio set: $72 The ‘Pure & Glowing Trio’ set includes: a full size 1.7 oz Dewy Skin cream ($68) a 1.7 oz Rice Wash cleanser (full size is $35/4 oz) & 0.17 oz Silk Peony eye cream (full size $60/.5 oz) 🍬For now I’m just gonna share texture swatches & ingredients, but stay tuned... I’ll be rating everything in full review of every product coming soon! 💧TATCHA - Balanced Skin Duo The other products pictured are minis from a ‘Sephora Beauty Insider’ 300-point option that included: one mini ‘The Deep Cleanse’ 0.85 oz & one mini ‘The Water Cream’ 0.34 oz TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser Full size: $38/5 oz TATCHA - The Water Cream Full size $68/1.7 oz 💜In the meantime, check out that sale! And tell me your favorite Tatcha product(s) in the comments... or tell me about the ones that didn’t work for you!

🌋Detoxification & Rejuvenation plans, baby!🧚🏼
🤬I was really sick for several days a couple weeks ago due to my condition. I have a neurological disease called CRPS that causes me a lot of pain at random, & sometimes flare ups can last days on end. This most recent one was so bad, where I only managed to properly wash my face once. I’m a moisture fiend, so I still slapped creams on my face when I could, & I try to put sunscreen on everyday no matter how bad I feel, yes even if I’m laying in bed all day!💻😴🕯 So, when I finally felt good enough to do some proper skincare one week ago. My skin felt pretty congested & dull, so I reached for my favorite (& super affordable) charcoal mask & some vitamin C. Here’s what I used! giovanni - D:Tox System Purifying Facial Mask $10/4 oz Non-comedogenic & pH balanced. FREE OF: dyes, parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, DEA, PEGs, lauryl/laureth sulfate, formaldehyde & propylene glycol. Natural fragrance is the last ingredient. This was a great health food store find for me. The texture is so smooth & doesn’t dry out my skin. Some great purifying ingredients here; Oat Flour, Bentonite, Kaolin clay, Volcanic Ash & Activated Carbon. It has repairing Allantoin & Vitamin E are high up on the list, as well as Aloe, Sugar Cane & Sugar Maple leaf extract🍁It’s also got a lot of antioxidants like Açaí, Goji Berry & Green Tea extracts🍵 My full review is down toward the bottom of my posts. 🍃a little THC ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Elizabeth Arden - Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum $51/30 capsules or $87/60 capsules I feel like I haven’t used these long enough to give a full review, but I’ve been loving them so far. It’s a blend of oils from Olive, Sunflower🌻 & Avocado 🥑with Vitamin C, a rich Peptide complex & Vitamin E. They are definitely pricey & may seem like garbage overkill with all the little capsules, but they’re actually biodegradable! ♻️ The opaque capsules keep each application of serum fresh, potent & effective by preventing oxidization of notoriously unstable Vitamin C. Full review coming soon! You can get them (or anything) on their for 20% off site right now! Code: FAM20 TATCHA - The Water Cream $68/1.7 oz Loved this soothing & moisturizing oil-free cream for years. Recently purchased again & I’ll be doing a review along with The Dewy Skin Cream very soon! MAY COOP - Raw Eye Contour 🍁$45-$55/.7 oz I love that Korean Maple extract is the very first ingredient! Been using this off & on for a while, a full review is due. I have a couple previous reviews of May Coop products with more information on their all star ingredients: Maple leaf extracts They’re a Korean skincare brand that builds each product off of Maple extracts because the molecular weight (size) is the same as our skin cells; allowing excellent absorption of this extracts anti-aging benefits. 🌋Let me know if you have any questions. I’m feeling much better now & my skin is refreshed!🩹☁️

Is your skin craaazy dry? Read my do’s and don’t
Is your skin craaazy dry? Read my do’s and don’t
I’ve got very dry skin in the colder months. I also live in a dry environment. I’ve put together some general do’s and donts that work for me when my skin is seriously dry. Now, please note that I enjoy 99% of the products I’m going to mention, but some I just have to reserve for using in warmer months when my skin is less dry. DO pay attention to what kind of first cleanse you use. I like FORMULA 10.0.6 - Bare Face Beauty Skin-Hydrating Cleansing Oil because it breaks down my makeup and leaves my skin feeling soft. DON’T use a first cleanse that dries your skin out like the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm (a little bit drying) DO look at ingredients lists and brand descriptions of cleansers. Opt for something with a gel or milky texture that either doesn’t lather are all, or barely lathers. I enjoy the bareMinerals - Pureness Gel Cleanser (but not if you’re sensitive to coconut). DON’T use a cleanser with harsh acids, such as salicylic acid in the TRULY - CBD Jelly Anti Acne Facial Cleanser , because they can dry out your skin even more. DO use a hydrating toner. I love the PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist Advanced Replenshing Toner because it contains hyaluronic acid and has a soothing, milky texture. DON’T use toners with astringent properties or essential oils like the MARIO BADESCU - Witch Hazel & Lavender Toner (I steaigjt is just don’t really like this even when my skin isn’t super dry). Toners with those ingredients can dry your skin out further. DO layer and mix serums (make sure you do some research first!). I enjoy the Wyldflower Labs - Sunshine Serum - Multitasking Day Repair Serum and LILY SADO - Green Tea + Vitamin C Super Serum . DO use some chemical exfoliants when experiencing a breakout, but be careful to use a concentrated spot application. I like the PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator because it is effective and can be easily applied in an affected area. I use this 1-3x/wk in the PM. DON’T use harsh chemical exfoliants and don’t use them too frequently. The YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner is very strong. It can cause irritation, especially on dry areas, and if used to often has caused white heads. DO moisturize! I love the pixi - Rose Ceramide Cream when I have stubborn dry patches that won’t go away. I also like the unscented, soothing GOOD MOLECULES - Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer . DON’T use a moisturizer that’s not geared towards extra dry skin like the Clark's Botanicals - Jasmine Vital Cream While this is a nice moisturizer, its light gel texture is more suited for normal-oily skin, or dry skin in the summer.

DRY SKIN TRY THESE TIPS!
DRY SKIN TRY THESE TIPS!
Do’s and DON’Ts for DRY skin that will change your skincare life! Hello all my fellow dry skin babes. This one is for you! I’ve got to say, dry skin is relatively new to me. I always had more normal to oily skin and then I moved to San Francisco and for whatever reason my skin is pretty dry now. I’ve learned how to take real good care of my skin and maintain moisture to keep my dry skin as happy as it can be. SO here’s some DO this and DON’T YOU DARE do that tips. DO Use a gentle and hydrating cleanser. (Milk makeup vegan milk cleanser) If you’re going to tone, please look for more hydrating toners. (Puristry) LAYER UP! Layer your hydration with different skincare products like serums, face oils, and moisturizers. EXFOLIATE. Get that layer of dead skin off! all the hard work of layering hydration won’t absorb into your skin. Use products with hydrating/moisture retaining ingredients like; Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides, squalene and Honey. (Honey and Ceramide will change ya skincare game!) DON’T Over exfoliate. This is just going to cause irritation and breakouts, so now on top of dry skin you have broken out and angry skin. Keep exfoliation in your routine for 1-2x a week. Stay away from harsh ingredients. Ingredients like Benzyl proxide, Salicylic Acid, Alcohol etc. can dry you out, so use it in moderation. Don’t over do it. Getting rid of dry skin takes time! Keep a steady routine and you will start to see results. Wear matte makeup! This will add to your dry skin. My best advice is to wear a hydrating primer and then you can go in with a matte foundation. Try to keep away from setting powders. (HG Laura Mercier translucent powder is made for oily skin! Only making you dry skin babes ever more dry) best of all, don’t be lazy. You can’t fix your skin if you aren’t consistent and keep up a routine. **Dry skin can often appear as oily skin, so if you start to get really oily and its pretty far from your normal, then keep that in mind. When our skin is so dry it starts to produce natural oils to replenish the moisture and essentially fix itself. Dry skin can be so severe that our skin starts producing these oils like crazy. I can sit here and really get into it, but I know I’ll bore you and you’ll just skip through it. So follow these go to and simple tips to be on your way to balance and “normal” skin! May the hydration forever be with you 😉 💦

NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
Naturium and Farmacy were both gifted in PR. I have oily, dehydrated, acne prone sensitive skin at the moment. For full review on Farmacy’s BHA, check out my page. Here’s a comparison to Naturium’s new BHA ($20/4 oz) and which one I prefer! I have been using Naturium for nearly two weeks. The product is marketed toward all skin types, and claims to do exactly what a BHA does: exfoliates/clears pores, even tone, and smooth fine lines. My experience with this product so far is nice. It’s a more hydrating product, so my dehydrated skin loves it. It’s also alcohol free, oil free, and fragrance free, making this perfect for sensitive skin. The formula is relatively basic, which isn’t bad at all, considering the price! Since my skin is used to salicylic acid, I’ve used this daily since receiving it with no issues. I love to use SA in the morning after I cleanse, and this is the perfect toner step. If you normally tone after cleansing, I definitely recommend using this. My skin is left feeling balanced and it leaves no residue. My pores are noticeably better and I am less oily overall, thanks to the SA. Comparing this to Farmacy’s: Overall, both formulas work similarly, however for oily skin I am leaning more toward Farmacy. I find myself gravitating toward the formula more because it absorbs quicker, has more added benefits and feels more refreshing on my oily skin. If you prefer using SA at night or have drier skin, Naturium is a great option for the added moisture, plus it is more wallet friendly. I just prefer SA in the am, so I prefer what feels best for me during the day.

Youth to the people
Youth to the people
It’s a vegan brand, they create consciously source premium superfood blends. Committed to sustainability, they use glass containers to reduce the impact of plastic waste. Glass containers can be recycled and used many times. It’s formulas are also sustainable for the environment. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I have finished the full size and I have this travel size, it’s a gentle soap formulated with cold-pressed antioxidants (kale, spinach and green tea). Regulates pH, removes makeup and prevent buildup in pores without drying. It smells herbaceous and fresh, it has a gel texture. Leaves skin clean and fresh. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner Triple action power toner blends 8% lactic acid and 3% glycolic acid to smooth skin texture and minimize the appearance of pores. It contains two ferments kombucha black tea and tree bark work as prebiotics to improve the skin's microbiome. It causes a little tingling and redness, it’s not one of my favorite toners because it makes the skin sticky but I think it works well, it leaves the skin soft and you notice improvement in the reduction of the pores.

A few products I’ve been testing (new)
A few products I’ve been testing (new)
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil Best all over oil! Such a rich, nourishing product. I have a separate review of this where I go more in-depth YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner This toner is so gentle yet efficient! Bright, toned skin! I’ve been using one by OleHenriksen that I would say is comparable but I much prefer the YTTP. It just leaves my skin so soft and glowing. It is recommended you only use this 2-3 times a week as it’s strong! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask Best overnight moisturizing mask ever! An absolute favorite! Again, I have a separate review of this! I think this one is a must for everyone!!! TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener Luxe! Love this essence. I’ve noticed brighter, plumper skin since using. My face is looking so healthy since adding this to my routine. Definitely a keeper! TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser My favorite physical exfoliant. Gentle enough to use every day. I am in love with this! I typically am not a fan of physical exfoliates as my face can be sensitive but this is nothing like what I’ve tried before. A dime size covers my entire face and the exfoliating products in it I can feel but are super gentle. No sand or grit feel at all. And I love that I can use this safely as a daily cleanser FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya Still currently testing this one out/on the fence. Sometimes it works really well for me and other times, not so much. I am not a fan of the tacky feeling it leaves so I don’t think this will be a repurchase for me. I much prefer Honey Drop or even Better Daze Ahead #CherieCreator

💫 my nighttime routine for brighter skin
💫 my nighttime routine for brighter skin
Brighter skin is just 5 minutes (and some 💤s) away. I do this yttp routine a couple nights per week and always wake up feeling brighter and so hydrated. My favorite thing about it is so quick and easy so there’s no excuse to skip it. 1) cleanse with YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser - I wrote a review on this previously if you want to learn more! 2) tone with YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner - this is more of an acid treatment, formulated with 8% lactic and 3% glycolic acid that help break down dead skin cells. Its great for minimizing pores and dullness which are two of my main skin concerns. It’s fairly gentle, but they do recommend starting it only 2-3 days a week and working your way up. This product is also best for nights since the AHAs can increase sun sensitivity. I let it sit on my face for 1-2 minutes to really let the acids do their thing before moving on. 3) treat with YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask - this thick sleep mask is packed with antioxidants like vitamin c and squalane to boost hydration. I like to massage this in for 20-30 seconds to help it adsorb better. It’s suuuper thick and a little bit goes a long way. This mask has a light fruity scent that is to die for. For an extra boost of glowy hydration I also mix 3-4 drops of YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil into the mask before I put it on. The glow oil has a similar scent to the mask and is also packed with squalane, vitamin c, and hydrating ingredients like prickly pear.
