Setting Powder + Dry Skin
Laura Mercier I heard alot of hype about this setting powder from Laura Mercier and wanted see to try if it worth the hype. When using this powder I first by doing my eyebrows first for my makeup routine. Next I put concealer around my eyebrows to have a cleaner look. Then I wait for the concealer to dry a little bit, then I put setting powder with using a blending brush so it's easily spread all over my eyelid and brow. I love doing this method because it makes a perfect canvas for my eyelid to add eyeshadow. After applying the eyeshadows and eyeliner, next put foundation and concealer or anything else that is wet I wait for it to dry. Then I use a big puffy brush and add the same powder all over my face not too much because it will cause dryness. Then after applying I will use the same brush but to wipe a little bit off my face like I said it does cause drying. Overall I like using it in a day I have for occasion that I want to look snatched but for me myself an everyday use I don't use too much of this product. Get into this face 💞 I recently purchased NARS - Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation from Macy’s. Honestly, I LOVE the full coverage. I don’t really need it but I prefer full coverage. It’s a little oily but that’s nothing a good setting powder didn’t fix. Speaking of setting powder, I used DERMABLEND - Loose Setting Powder As far as my eye shadow goes, I used my sisters pallet. (I’ll get those details later). I used MAC - MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Finishing Mist to finish off. This is currently one of my favorite setting sprays. For my lips I used NYX - Filler Instinct Plumping Lip Polish I Know!... I already have Full lips but I like to make them fuller and this definitely helped 🥰

This is my ride or die setting spray. No matter how many others I try this is the one I come back to. I spray this on and then dry it with a fan and it does not budge! All day no matter the weather it doesn’t move. From humid rainy days in the Caribbean to 10 hour walking tours around Rome and Florence. To mountain hikes it still doesn’t move. This is a cult favorite for a reason! I’ve repurchased this so many times I’ve lost count.

Contour that fit me perfectly
Once again with this contour it fit me perfectly! It cost 17.50$ and it’s totally worth your money ! Before I use to use black eyeshadow as a contour because I couldn’t find anything that can contour my face because everything was so light ! Plus, they come in an easy-to-use stick format that’s perfect for targeted application anywhere you want to contour. Made to layer, the buildable cream-to-powder formula is weightless and super easy to blend, but also stays put with no creasing or caking.
Setting Powder ✨Laura Mercier & Fenty reviewed
laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder I want to start with my Laura mercier just because this is the first and only other setting powder I’ve ever used. My mother raised me on the translucent but now there’s a honey shade which I’m so in love with! 10/10 it blends so nicely not leaving my face too pale or “ashy looking” although the color does look a little yellowish it definitely blends with your natural shade which I’m glad because i got the larger size hoping to fall in love with it. FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder I tried the shade Banana and I definitely liked it. This mini comes with an actual applicator so I’m assuming the full size does too. Which I think is great, unlike mercier which you must buy separately. I feel I could have gone a little darker on the shade but over the proctors did as it should. I like to add powder under my eyes and on my forehead and chin I know I ask a lot of my powder but fenty definitely made it happen. A triple threat it sets , takes off excess oils and leave a nice glow ✨

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
