Preserving My Curls Overnight
This is how I preserve most of my hairstyles overnight! I hear many people complain about how their bonnet or scarf is always falling off their head and ending up on the floor once they wake up, I was having the same issue! That is when I decided to create a wrap that would stay on throughout the night while protecting your curls. I hand make them myself and sale on Etsy (link in my bio) if you are interested! 😊
My Secret Weapon!
Lots of my clients only use Bobby pins to hold their style because they’re unsure how to use a hair pin. Since hair pins are straight, often people are afraid that they will fall right out of their hair. If this is a concern, all you have to do is bend one leg and it will catch the hair and stay in place! Give hair pins a try- they are awesome for adding texture or just for a little bit of extra hold!
Volumizing Thin & Curly Hair Tutorial
Hi everyone, This is a very simple way that I add more volume to my hair after washing it. I first use the diffuser to style my hair, and I finish by adding more volume this way. For reference, I have thin, type 3A curls. I apologize for the weird transition in the beginning, it took me a while to remove the diffuser off the hair dryer, so I decided to cut that part out 😅 In the end, I use aussie - Sun Touched Shine Hairspray, which I reviewed in a previous post! I’ll also be adding more thorough tips on how to deal with thin hair, so stay tuned! Hope you enjoy!

✨ Thick Hairstyles - Second Day Hair ✨
I have thick hair that easily gets frizzy, especially second day hair (or third, or fourth, depends how long I don’t wash it for lol). I typically only wash my hair every 2-4 days (depending on the type of activity I do that day, like exercise or go get groceries or just work on schoolwork). To allow my hair to last longer, I’ll usually use these hairstyles and products so that I can deal with the frizz. I love doing half-up hairstyles anytime I wash my hair, but especially when my hair starts to get frizzy! I hate when my hair gets all over my face. I usually do either a simple ponytail that’s holds the top half of my hair. I also like doing a ponytail with a braid, but that can be a little more difficult because you can’t see the back of your head as well or make sure the braid is straight and doesn’t start going to the side lol. After I finish the braid, I kind of tug/pull it apart so that it looks thicker. Another options is to just throw it into a messy bun on the back of your head! I like to use a spray leave-in conditioner to help nourish my hair and hairspray to lock them. This hairstyle also looks really cute with a headband to keep flyaways out of your face. . dpHUE - Apple Cider Vinegar Leave-in Hair Therapy Key Ingredients: Apple Cider Vinegar (restores healthy pH to smooth the hair surface and seal the cuticle, quickly absorbs into hair to provide weightless conditioning), Argan Oil, Macademia Oil, Dandelion Extract and Aloe Vera (moisturize, condition, and add shine without weighing hair down). Scent: Apple Cider Vinegar Consistency/Texture: Lightweight Spray Price: $30 for 6.5 oz / 192 mL Experience: This has a very strong scent, but it does dissipate quickly. I haven’t noticed much in terms of conditioning or frizz control, but it’s a decent product. It has a minimal amount, but I don’t think I’d purchase the full size unless it was on sale. It doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it look greasy, which was why I gave it 3 stars. Other than that, it doesn’t deliver much and the scent is not something I enjoy. It’s an average leave-in product, I’ll use it up but probably wouldn’t recommend or repurchase it (unless it’s half off or more). . REDKEN - Triple Take 32 Extreme High-Hold Hairspray Scent: Strong hairspray smell Consistency/Texture: Can leave behind a crunchy feel on the hair Price: $12 for 4 oz / 115 g OR $24 for 9 oz / 255 g Experience: It says it gives root lift and volume, but I haven’t used it for that purpose. I usually just use it to set a hairstyle into place and it works great for that! It can leave behind a stiff and crunchy feeling in the hair if you use too much, but it gives a great hold. I can use this in the morning and expect my hairstyle to last the whole day and not droop or get any flyaways or frizz. The nozzle is nice and gives a fine mist that is easy to control. It doesn’t leave my hair dry or make it knotty when I try to brush it out.

Sleeping with curls (Part 1)
Wear your curls in a high ponytail using a very loose scrunchie (don’t even twist it once). It will keep your curls from being flattened between you face and pillow and preserve your volume and definition. I use velvet and satin when possible! #Sportsgirl - velvet scrunchie[products]#[FiveStars]
Re-Lifting Curls Hairstyle!
Hi everyone, This is my first time doing a video like this, so I apologize if it’s not the greatest editing or quality, but I do hope that you’re able to enjoy! This is how I retouch or re-lift my hair whenever I’m going out! For reference, I have type 3A curls and thin hair. Also, I last washed my hair on Sunday and recorded this video on Tuesday, so you can see that curls can remain intact as long as you know how to take care of them. Notice how I barely have any tangles also and how important it is to COMB with your fingers whenever you’re doing this, especially on the underneath part of your hair, where most of the tangling occurs. I will provide more tips on how to avoid getting your hair tangled or full of knots in the near future, so stay tuned! You will also notice how I didn’t add any WATER AT ALL. I use Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk Nourishing and Conditioning Refresher Spray instead. While I understand that it tends to be easier to just soak your hair in water, it is NOT HEALTHY to do that EVERY DAY. Why? First, depending on where you live, the chemicals (whether it’s Magnesium, Chloride, Fluoride, etc) that are added to your potable water VARIES and can definitely be damaging and lead to over drying your hair. For us curly hair people, this is not what we want, as our hair already TENDS to be more DRY NATURALLY. Ever since I’ve reduced the amount of water that I add to my hair, I’ve seen a great difference! Remember, adding moisture is the key, not the other way around. I’ve already provided a review for the other products that I use in this video, even the hair dryer that I use, so make sure to check out my previous posts if you’re interested! I’m certain that they’ll provide more information that help you in your hair care journey. I’ll list them once again: Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk 4-in-1 ''Combing'' Crème aussie - Sun Touched Shine Hairspray CONAIR - InfinitiPRO 1875 Watt AC Pro Hair Dryer Rose Gold

Don’t do this - Using the hair curler on wet hair!
I love curls, but for me it takes a while to get them as they don’t just happen to me. The silver lining is that once I get them, they usually last for at least 4 days, which is a dream come true. However, it’s not always been very easy to get the wavy hair of my dreams. It’s been a long road of trial and error until I got it right. I used to try the curling iron as soon as I got damp hair, which resulted in a very long process and lots of burnt hairs. Not to mention that I can’t say I was over the moon with the results. It took me a while to realize that damp hair was a definite no-no. Actually, it was my hair stylist who insisted I never use a curling iron or straightener on wet or damp hair. Since then I always blow dry the hair before, and, more often lately, I wash it in the evenings and do the waves next morning. When I first started with the Philips Style Care Prestige, I felt like I’ve found my way to the perfect waves in a fraction of the time I’ve used to spend on this. The automatic hair curler is not on the cheap side, but it’s very easy to use, you just need to put little strands of hair in the opening and it sucks the hair in. Also, it gets warm in a matter of seconds and I’ve noticed that it doesn’t burn my hair at all. You can curl the hair in different directions, and for different amounts of time. It’s customizable depending on your needs and I totally love this. However, I was doing another mistake when using it – applying styling products before using the automatic curler. I’ve stopped doing this after I realized how much better it looks if I apply the styling foam when I’m done. So, what I do now is just use the curler on dry hair, it takes me about 20 minutes with my long hair. I don’t curl all the hair, just hair strands here and there. After I’m done, I put my fingers through the curls, so they look a bit messy – I love this fresh and casual look. The hair styling foam or spray is optional, sometimes I used it, other times not, my waves are good either way.
