Face applications: DO’s & DONT’S
Face applications: DO’s & DONT’S
It’s important to be on top of your skin daily, meaning Morning’s and Night’s. I have a job, and it requires me to work at night, but I am still able to keep my routine on track. I highly recommend this picture as reference so that you don’t overdo it with products on your face, this could lead to more breakouts and overall damage to your face. You can always eyeball how much product you put on, but if you need a reference - this is it, sis! **NOT IN THE ORDER YOU PUT THEM** Eye Cream: Pea sized amount Split between both eyes Serum: Pea sized amount Cleanser: Nickel-sized amount Sunscreen: Quarter sized amount for both neck and face Exfoliant: Dime or Nickel sized amount Moisturizer: Quarter sized amount for both neck and face I hope this reference works for my beginners and people that need a reminder on how much product to apply✨✨

Skincare on a Budget: Best Drugstore Eye Creams
Skincare on a Budget: Best Drugstore Eye Creams
Eye creams are always pretty pricey, but for some of us they can be a necessity. They can be good for students like me that pull all-nighters studying or doing homework often then wake up with dark circles and tired eyes. They can also be good for puffiness. These are the best drugstore eye creams that are very effective. e.l.f. - CBD Eye Cream This product has a lightweight creamy gel texture that absorbs very quickly and leaves the under eye area feeling soft. The under eye area is very delicate so it’s really good that this product is fragrance-free. This product’s star ingredient cannabidiol (CBD) soothes skin and reduces inflammation. -Formula includes three forms of peptides which stimulates the skin to produce collagen for more firm and younger looking skin. -Contains allantoin and aloe, very soothing ingredients. -Also contains hyaluronic acid for plumping and panthenol which is a humectant. CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream CeraVe comes through once again, but this time with their eye cream. Like their other products, this one contains three ceramides which are great anti-aging ingredients. It also contains plumping hyaluronic acid along with niacinamide to brighten skin and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. -It also contains soothing and hydrating ingredients such as aloe, almond oil, jojoba esters, and glycerin. -It is very inexpensive seeing as it retails for $12.99. VERSED - THE FIX Emergency Eye Mask The texture of this product has a slightly thick gel consistency that applies easily. It dries somewhat quickly, but since it has a thick texture, it’s better to use at night. The gel has a cooling effect but this isn’t due to any potentially irritating, cooling ingredients like menthol. -This is also very different from other products since it is a mask that is meant for the eye area. -Contains cucumber which is great for its hydrating and antioxidant abilities. -Includes two peptides which is helpful for fine lines around the eyes and such. -Non-fragrant rosehip oil, moisturizing pantheol, vitamin C, and two forms of Vitamin E are included which help strengthen the eye area. -Caffeine is included which can help soothe redness, but there isn’t much research that proves it can help puffy eyes. bliss - Eye Do All Things Eye Gel This is a great product from bliss that has a lightweight gel texture. The gel is very moisturizing but not too heavy and it absorbs very quickly with a light dewy finish. The formula has great skin replenishing ingredients such as squalane, glycerin, and panthenol. -The formula also contains three forms of peptides for its anti-aging benefits. -Antioxidants in the forms of vitamin E and C work to protect skin and aid in brightening the under eye area. -Caffeine is included which can help soothe redness, but there isn’t much research that proves it can help puffy eyes. Always apply SPF!!!

😱Can't believe it! My wrinkles disappeared after using this...
😱Can't believe it! My wrinkles disappeared after using this...
I suffer from serious under eye puffiness and dark circles, as I keep the bad habit of staying up late, sometimes for work, or sometimes it's just insomnia. And because of the long hours spent in front of the computer every day, there are some fine lines around my eyes. I found it once when I looked in the mirror😭 So though I'm in my twenties, I should make an early start on my eye skincare.   Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum When it comes to eye care, eye creams should be first. I have tried several kinds of eye creams, but they didn’t have any effect and some even burned my eyes. I knew Murad eye serum after searching the internet. Since I saw reviews across many websites were overwhelmingly positive, I decided to buy this and give it a try. The result shows that this eye cream is the best I’ve tried. 😘 Murad is a skincare brand created by legendary American dermatologist Dr. Murad, who turned his 55 years of experience into a series of products. Many items of this brand won many awards and won the recognition of consumers.   Retinol is a popular anti-wrinkle ingredient that has been proved to be useful by experimental data. Many eye creams and essences will be added. Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum is powered by Retinol Tri-Active Technology that helps improve all key signs of aging – lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, dark circles, and loss of firmness.   What I love about this product is that when it dries, it is clear. Some products leaves white flakes. The area under my eyes are looking much better after I used it for a few weeks. My under eye skin appears smoother.   In addition, another reason I like this eye cream is that its ingredients are extracted from natural plants, such as Lalang Grass Rhizome Extract to help minimize wrinkles, and nutrient-rich marine kelp complex to improve eye puffiness.   It is a light and stackable serum, formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates and gluten. My usage experience shows that it’s going on nicely and smoothly with no burning or skin irritation, which is suitable for my sensitive skin type. Any recommendations for eye serums? Tell me below👇

how long does skincare take to work?
how long does skincare take to work?
this post will be following up one of the myths I talked about briefly in my last post. “your skin gets used to products, resulting in them eventually not working” this is FALSE ! your skin has a cycle of 28 days, meaning that it takes about 28 days for skin cells to turn over and regenerate. if you are trying out a new product that you are not too sure about, keep trying for roughly 28 days to see the results. however, if a product is burning or stinging your skin, stop using that product as this is basically your skin telling you that it is not reacting well and this can cause irritation to your skin. there are some products that take a certain amount of time to show results ! AHA- glycolic, lactic etc: right away but peaks at 12 weeks BHA- salicylic acid: right away but peaks at 12 weeks RETINOL: 8 weeks- 6 months VITAMIN C: 3+ weeks RETINOIDS: 6-8 weeks HYALURONIC ACID: a few minutes NIACINAMIDE: 12 weeks

The best tinted moisturizer I’ve ever used!
The best tinted moisturizer I’ve ever used!
The Beauty Counter Dew Skin tinted moisturizer is the perfect product if you want a nice dewy finish and not a heavy makeup look. It’s so easy to apply, I just use my fingers! And a 1.35 fl oz. size runs about $45. It’s currently on sale on their website by the way! It’s very light coverage but I find it to do a good job of concealing light pigmentation and just make your face look more awake. I apply it right after I cleanse and apply my eye cream and serum. You can just use it as a replacement for your moisturizer during the day. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now and would definitely purchase it again! I’m almost out of my container anyways since I use it daily. It doesn’t have a harsh smell and is very blendable. I use about 2 pumps for the whole face. I find makeup to stay on over it pretty well and it does last almost all day, even in humid conditions. Hope this reviews helps if you’ve been on the market for a good tinted moisturizer! xx #Beauty Counter - Dew Skin[products]#[FiveStars]
