Let’s talk about The Ordinary Pycnogenol
Let’s talk about The Ordinary Pycnogenol
I am not new to The Ordinary. I have tried quite a few of their products in the past few years. I have acne prone skin that is also slightly sensitive. I was looking for a new serum because the ones I previously tried just didn’t end up giving me the results I wanted. I typically look for acids in my regimen and niacinamide but I read a blogger say The Ordinarys Pycnogenol cleared up their acne. I looked up the ingredients and it’s actually derived from tree bark and is an amazing antioxidant! I honestly did not think this 1 serum would help my skin but after just 1 use I couldn’t believe my results!!! I received a pore clogging ampoule (facial oil) in my Petit Vour box and it broke my out so badly I was horrified!!! I had cystic acne and blackheads littered all over my face! After I applied this serum, my skin was flushed for about an hour. It did not burn at all or feel any different but it did look like it was being exfoliated! Something I have experienced with acids and niacinamide, though with some other products, my face did burn while it was flushed lol. The next morning, my pores were more clear and the scars faded already!!!! I could not believe it and had to share immediately!!!!! This stuff is truly incredible!!! It is a deep amber color, really is water soluble-so it is not like an oil in texture. I use Saadiaorganics argan oil as a moisturizer since I have not been able to find any other moisturizer to work for me and I applied it over this and I was so happy that this is not a serum that pills underneath my argan oil!!! Definitely get this if you have acne prone skin!!!! You can use it with retinoid, acids, niacinamide, etc.! No conflict with any ingredients!!! The Ordinary - Pycnogenol 5%

I know how certain people feel about using the “noncomedogenic” ingredients list but I personally prefer using it when buying my body products. Most of the ingredients on the comedogenic ingredients list have broken me out. Especially coconut oil. I just wanted to share the products that I love and use and would recommend them for anybody but especially people who suffer with acne. ANDALOU NATURALS - Cleansing Gel, Citrus Kombucha, Clear Skin ANDALOU NATURALS - Exfoliating Mask, Kombucha Enzyme, Clear Skin makeup artist's choice - Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask W/5% Glycolic Acid Peel Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum makeup artist's choice - Lac-Luronic Serum Lactic Hyaluronic AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay Derma-e radiance toner with glycolic acid. Aubrey aloe Vera You do not have to use The Ordinarys peel mask and the MUAC’s pumpkin mask as well. I personally like the pumpkin mask best but The Ordinarys peel mask does deliver the same results. I have done extensive research on the Aztec bentonite clay since I have read some complaints about it. There is controversy on using apple cider vinegar on your face. On the safe side, I would only use water. You can use an old makeup brush, like a fluffy blush one (cleansed with water and soap) to mix the water and cay together. I also like to pour some of my Aubrey aloe into the mixture to get some skin soothing in there. Dermatologists recommend using the mask once a month to purge pores since clay is a very drying ingredient. I would start with 5 minutes and see how your skin does. ALWAYS patch test a new skin care or any product on the inside of your arm before applying it to your face. Wait 24 hours to see how your skin reacts. If there is no reaction, then you should try it on your face. Note: You should not use niacinamide with any acids, like glycolic and lactic acid as it will cause what is called a “niacin flush” which will basically turn your face temporarily red but should not burn or itch. It will also reduce the effects of your acid and niacinamide. You should apply the niacinamide in the mornings and your acids at night. Or use them on alternate days. Acids can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, that is why it is best to use them at night. I also wanted to add that your makeup and lip balm can also be causing acne. Most lip balms, lipsticks and foundations contain cocoa butter and coconut oil. I use shea butter on my lips and you can buy a tub of it at Target for just a few bucks. I use an spf bb cream as my foundation and a non comedogenic blush from Pacifica.

DIY Matcha Clay Mask
DIY Matcha Clay Mask
**UPDATE** Use an old makeup brush, like a blush brush to mix the clay and water and whatever else you might add!!! It mixes it all MUCH better than the form method!!! I have switched my products to organic and cruelty free. I feel that organic and cruelty free products are best for not only myself but the environment. I have combination skin that is acne prone and sensitive to a ton of ingredients. I have yet to find a good clay mask and I have tried A TON. Most of them contain toxic and pore clogging ingredients. More organic and nontoxic facial products contain algae/seaweed/sea whip and there is a lot of controversy on if this ingredient is pore clogging or not. I have tried facial products that contain the ingredients and honestly, I couldn’t tell if my acne came from that ingredient or anything else. So, to be on the safe side, I discontinued use of any products containing it. I have been using Aztec bentonite clay for a few years now off and on. I used it with apple cider vinegar but there had also been some controversy of apple cider vinegar not being good for your skin. It’s hard to get a cream texture from mixing the clay with just water. So I decided to make a concoction and this has worked perfectly at getting rid of acne and black heads!!! 1 table spoon of bentonite clay 1 table spoon of matcha tea powder 1 tablespoon of aloe Vera 1-2 table spoons of water I typically like to use a glass jar but couldn’t find one so I just use a bowl and I whisk the ingredients together using a fork. It’s much easier using a fork to whisk clay and tea powder with water. I leave my clay masks on for 10 minutes but if you have dry or sensitive skin I would recommend starting out with 5 minutes to see how your skin does. Basically, you should rinse the mask off before it dries because if you let it dry, it absorbs too much moisture from your skin. Clay is a very drying ingredient, so please make sure to rinse it off once it starts to feel tacky and sticky to the touch. Do not wait for it to dry. I bought all of these ingredients off of Amazon. You can use any type of clay or any brand of matcha tea. You don’t even have to use tea, you can use only water or aloe and water. If I had some tea tree oil, I would have added that as well. I also use the matcha powder for tea (steamed cup of water, cup of coconut milk with 1 tablespoon of the matcha powder). The Aubrey Aloe Vera is pure aloe with 1 natural preservative to keep it from going bad. I use this mask once every 2 weeks or as a spot treatment. Dermatologists recommend using it once a month so it is really up to you to figure out what works for you! AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay

Skin care journal
Skin care journal
If anybody has a bad short term memory like I do, this will help! 🙂 I use a mini calendar and mark down what skin care I did on which days, so I can keep track of everything that I’ve done and don’t lose track. Before I started doing this a year ago, I was accidentally doing a clay mask up to 4x a WEEK! 😫 My skin was so dehydrated. 😰 I will admit to having a bad short term memory and I will forget what I have used on my face if I do not writer it down! I write down each skin care product I use, acids, masks and serums. Except for my cleanser and moisturizer. chemicals exfoliants, serums, etc. and especially any new skin care product! To see how my skin has been reacting to it. I just think a skin care journal would benefit anybody. Even if you have a good memory. Another way I have seen people keep track is by writing down a day of the week on each product container, so then they remember that they are supposed to do it that day of the week, every week. The journal is just easier for me, personally. You don’t even need it to be a calendar. A notebook or even a piece of paper would do! 💖

Best face mask for acne and black heads
Best face mask for acne and black heads
I want to go in a little into why I love this mask over all other clay masks and how much I disliked it when I first started using it because I didn’t understand anything about it until I did some research. When I first started using this mask, I followed the directions and mixed it with water, apple cider vinegar and the clay. Equal parts each. Suffice to say, it was too watery. My skin “purged” the first few times I used it. I thought it was causing acne, so I stopped using it for a month. Since the other clay masks I tried over that duration weren’t doing anything for my acne or blackheads, I decided to give the Aztec mask another shot but wanted to see how other people used it first, to see if I was doing anything wrong. Turns out, your supposed to use apple cider vinegar or water, not both. Apple cider vinegar turned out to be much more beneficial, as it helps the mask mix into a nice cream. Vinegar is also really good for your skin and any acne or blackheads because it balances your skins pH level! I also learned that my skin was purging the junk from its pores and not getting acne from the mask. After 2 uses, my skin stopped purging so heavily. Now I just use it for blackheads. 😁 I also stopped waiting for the mask to dry before rinsing it off because if you let it dry, then it will strip your skin of its moisture and that will lead to inflammation and then more acne! Instead, I wait for the mask to get damp and sticky to the touch before rinsing it off, which is usually between 10 and 15 minutes. I have learned that the drying times depends on my skins hydration levels before using the mask. If my face is drier than usual, like during winter, then it will become damp quicker. Usually around 10 minutes. If my skin is oilier and more hydrated, like during summer, then it will take 15 minutes. For the mixture: I use equal parts of the mothers apple cider vinegar (but you can use any apple cider vinegar) and the clay. I mix it until it’s a cream texture and Ill add more clay powder or vinegar if I need to. I apply a thick layer and leave it on until sticky to the touch. Then I rinse it off with luke warm water. A good dupe for this mask, if you do not want to mix it up yourself is the Acure Lemonade mask, that I bought from Target. It contains the bentonite clay, charcoal and other good ingredients for acne. It isn’t as good as the Aztec but it’s the best one that I have tried out of all other clay masks. Andalous shampoo and conditioner duo!
Andalous shampoo and conditioner duo!
For anybody wanting a new hair brand recommendation, I wanted to share my favorite 3 brands: •Shea Moisture •Ecoslay •Andalou I’ve used Shea Moisture shampoos and conditioners for years (and their other hair and body products) but they ended up being too heavy on my caucasian head. A lot of the shampoos contain cocoa butter and that is really too heavy on my head and the rest of my skin. I read an article about Andalous shampoo and conditioner and decided to try them out because they contain some really great ingredients and best of all: 0 cocoa butter! (Although, I do like Shea Moistures charcoal shampoo that does not contain cocoa butter and their Sacha Inchi shampoo that does but still gives my head a good clean!) Andalous Citrus shampoo and conditioner duo are the best shampoo and conditioner I think I have ever tried in my life. The shampoo does an amazing job at getting my head squeaky clean without stripping my hair of essential moisture! That’s because they both contain lactic acid, which does really amazing things for scalp and hair health!!! The conditioner also has pretty much the same exact ingredients, only a few extra moisturizing ones of course and is not too heavy on my hair! Before, I did not use any products with protein for 7 months because I read an article stating that low porosity hair should never use any protein at all. That is when I developed moisture fatigue. Basically my hair and scalp were overloaded with moisture and no matter how many times I scrubbed my head, it would never feel clean! It also barely grew at all. My hairstylist was confused, lol! It was gummy while wet and took hours and hours to dry and wouldn’t even hold style. So, I looked up a home made protein treatment online in desperation and I did a home made, egg, hair treatment mask and that was the start of reversing my moisturize fatigue! Mask ingredients: 2 small eggs (or 1 large egg) mixed with some lemon juice. I got my hair wet, massaged it into my scalp and hair and left it on for 15 minutes. Then I rinsed the egg mask out with cold water and did not follow up with shampoo because the egg already cleans your hair better than shampoo does and the cold water removes the egg much more efficiently than warm or hot water would. I proceeded with Ecoslays banana deep conditioning mask. I have a self heating cap that I purchased on Amazon for around $15, shower caps included. I applied the deep conditioning mask, put on the shower cap and heated up the heating cap and left on for 15 minutes. Ever since I have been doing a protein hair treatment atleast once a month. So, the article I read that low porosity hair should never use protein is simply not true. reasons why you are breaking out on your face...
reasons why you are breaking out on your face...
Acne is a skin condition that usually comes around once you hit puberty, and you shouldn’t be ashamed of that. Acne is normal and everyone is eventually going to experience it. ***** The chart above indicates what each part of the face means when you break out in that area. Forehead: the reason why you are breaking out on your forehead is because of stress, poor diet, irregular sleep, liver issues and digestive problems. Temples and eyebrows: usually people breakout in this area because of blood circulation problems, alcohol and processed foods such as fast food as well. Nose: people break out on the nose because of poor blood circulation, poor diet, constipation bloating and indigestion. Mouth and under nose: this can be because of a certain toothpaste that you may be sensitive to, constipation or spicy/fried foods. Chin: people break out on the chin because of hormonal problems, kidney problems and gynaecological issues. Cheeks: this can be because of stress, lung issues, kidney problems, bacteria from cellphones and stomach problems. Ears: not a lot of people break out in this area but if you do, it’s because of your kidney. that’s all you need to know, i hope this helps and sorry if it doesn’t make sense, my english isn’t very good 😅. stay safe and keep cleansing!

💖 6 Ways: You’re MORE ATTRACTIVE than you might think
💖 6 Ways: You’re MORE ATTRACTIVE than you might think
Do you really know how to put on your makeup? Seriously, most girls are just having fun with their cosmetic stuff, and I used to be one of them lol. Having learned a lot from both Youtube tutorials and makeup magazines, I realize that there're some mistakes that over 90% of beginners will make. Check out the list below: Use a dry beauty blender Use a dry beauty blender that can make it hard to blend your foundation and sinks in all your cosmetic products, which is not cost-worthy lol. A better and money-saving way to do that is to use a wet one while applying. By doing so, you can create a flawless base makeup effortlessly. Do your makeup in a bathroom I bet most of you like to do your makeup in your bathroom with your favorite songs on, right? However, the artificial light in the bathroom is often not satisfying and can make your makeup go sideways, especially when it comes to applying your highlighters or blushes. Therefore, it's suggested to do your makeup by the window side with the natural light.  Rub your foundation & concealer Hey, don't be so rude to your face lady! Instead of rubbing the foundation or concealer, you need to tap them gently into your face. As for applying your foundation, start with the middle of your cheek, then go in circles. Also, don't forget to go a little bit lower on your neck and your ears for a natural-looking finish. For concealers, you'd also stick to the gentle tabbing and apply less every time.  Apply thick layers of color correctors I know lots of YouTubers are obsessed with wearing lots of color correctors in their makeup tutorials, and I guess it's mainly for fun, but the fact is that not everyone needs the color correctors unless you have serious discoloration! The basic rule for base makeup is "LESS IS MORE"! Applying unneeded or too thick layers of color correctors will only make it harder to apply foundation, which just makes things tricky! Moreover, apply your color correctors with brushes instead of fingers because these correctors are often very pigmented and you don't want to get too much of them on your fingertips at one time. Draw lines on the entire brow No kidding! Tracing heavy lines on your entire brow shape usually ends up with unnatural and cartoon-ish brows. The quick fixing way is to draw a harsh stroke, blend with your finger, use an eyebrow brush, and use small strokes on the bottom of your brow and brush upwards. The soft strokes can create a fuller look without going overboard, and a brush makes it easier to blend.  Apply lipstick to naked lips Okay, I know how tempting it is to do a few swipes after a meal or your coffee break, but that's a big mistake if you want your lipstick color last long and evenly without smearing drying out your lips. Only prep your lips with a lip primer, a lip plumper or even a lightweight face moisturizer will make a huge difference! By adding a little bit of moisture, your lipstick is more likely to stay longer and maintain a smooth, plump and even finish. I've learned a lot from Ali Andreea, the makeup influencer on Youtube, and I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn more about makeup to subscribe to her channel!  What are your makeup tips? Eager to see your fantastic ideas! Love you lots xxx!

How to deal with thin, long hair!
How to deal with thin, long hair!
Hi pals! Today I want to show you all the products I use to get move volume and body into my thinner hair! Honestly, my hair isn’t even that thin BUT because it’s so long, it looks thinner and gets weighed down//greasy so quickly! I need to use some form of volumizing products to keep my hair looking bouncy and fresh! To do this, I use two faves: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo I LOVE THIS STUFF! It’s my favorite dry shampoo because it’s a powder instead of a sticky spray, and it completely absorbs into my hair and doesn’t leave any residue! I just puff this product all over my scalp, wait a moment, and then rub it in until everything is gone! It adds so much volume to my hair and makes it look so much thicker. Then, to add back in some shine and softness, I go in with the amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner ! This is the only dry conditioner I own, but it smells really good and makes my hair feel a lot silkier. It’s perfect to add back a little bit of shine and softness after using a strong dry shampoo. This product doesn’t weigh down my hair either. So, this is how I get my somewhat thin hair to look bouncy and voluminous, even 2-3 days after washing! #cheriecreator #cheriepartner

The Ultimate Guide To DIY Nails At Home💅
The Ultimate Guide To DIY Nails At Home💅
I'm not a fan of doing nails over and over, like reapplying every other day. I usually only get my nails done once or twice when I go out with friends. But because of the coronavirus, I was bored to death at home. And I want longer lovely nails! So I purchased those beginner things and followed the instructions, shaped my nails and colored my nails, ALL BY MY OWN. Step 1: Prep your nails! Trim and shape nails by filing in one direction only to prevent breakage! Apply cuticle oil, push back cuticles and remove hangnails. Finally, cleanse to remove oil. OPI - Nail Envy Nail Strengthener Original Formula Step 2: Apply base coat to prime the nail surface, increase lacquer adhesion and prevent discoloration. Step 3: Apply 2 coats of Nail Lacquer, using three strokes for each coat. Apply the first down the middle and then one on each side for complete coverage. Be sure to paint the tips of your nails, brushing it perpendicular to the front tip of your nail. Step 4: Apply top coat over the nail. Don’t forget to cap the nail’s free edge! If you have enough budget, you can buy UV light. UV light can very slightly speed up drying time by helping to evaporate some of the polymers in the polish. With regular polish, a UV/Fan dryer combo is your greatest bet. If you have less budget, you can do the same with a dryer ,but use by hot and cold winds alternate or just air dry. Without any saying, you definitely need the base coat and top coat. Base one is the first step of the application, the top coat is the last. The color opaque lacquer needs 2 coats as does most of that type and applies smoothly and dried to a gloss. It was easy to apply, and lasted a long time. In addition, you must have wooden push and dead skin tool. Wood push could make your nail (free) lines visible enough. Dead skin tool is effective in helping you get rid of the skin off your fingers. And one more point, remember to soak your hand in hot water about five minutes before using the dead skin tool. Then all you have to do is take your nail clippers and make the shape you like.(before colored nails) If you have nail file, you can also use it to smooth out your nails. (I have very thin nails, so I don't usually use it)I only used an emery board to make the rough edges smooth. So If you don't have money or time to get a manicure at the nail salon, just do it at home. It's not difficult to do.

How do you heal and treat your skin?
How do you heal and treat your skin?
✨I’m gonna share with you my nighttime treatment my skin really appreciates, and how I wake up with much cleaner and radiant skin. ✨ For a very long time , I would always wake up with dull skin and uneven texture. There won’t be any radiance or glow , and its sort of demotivating to start the day like that. Acne wasn’t a big problem but it did occur few times a month and would always leave scars or blemishes. ✨ A while ago I came across a Acne Treatment oil called ‘Meltdown’ by @blume 💕 ✨ What is it? It’s an oil for Acne Prone Skin which you can use to prevent acne, clear acne and blemishes. It’s a blend of all natural ingredients. ✨ Key Ingredients Rosehip, Blue Tansy, Tamanu, Lavender, Black Cumin Seed ✨ My thoughts At nighttime, I usually cleanse my with @blume milk based face wash ‘Daydreamer’ . I really like it because its so creamy and gentle. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin. To use ‘Meltdown’ , I mix a few drops of this essential oil based serum with @milkmakeup moisturizer. It calms down any inflammation I have and its a perfect nighttime treatment to heal my skin. Now I wake up with much clearer skin which I can feel confident about and start my day. It really heals the skin overnight and any acne I have goes away in a week or so. Its been amazing to clean up the blemishes, and there are only a few areas left. Also, for the people who weren’t able to use @milkmakeup vegan moisturizer because its too rich, I think it would be a great idea to mix it with an oil/serum so it suits your skin. - - What’re your favourite nighttime treatments? Let me know what you think ☺️ BLUME - Daydreamer Face Wash BLUME - Meltdown Oil for Acne-Prone Skin Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer

To buy dream patches separately from the Get Balanced Patch Set they start out at $12.00 for 4 patches. This patch is a great backup to my sleep aid but For me to repurchase it’s not economical because I use melatonin more than 10 times a month.
