We call her Bunny. Her name is Heather Olivia. She is almost 5 years old. I was a mother long before she came along. A mother to 3 boys which, at the time of her birth, made me feel unqualified for the job of raising a girl. The youngest girl in my family at the time was 18 years old so I did not have much experience with girls since there were so many males in my family. So, I started out by doing what I did to my hair when I started my natural hair care journey. I even used the same products and she still uses these products to this very day! I searched YouTube videos and learned so much from them. I practiced on her and now I think I’ve got it! Now, she loves when I do her hair and I’m more comfortable doing it. Today I had to do some finger coils on her hair and she absolutely loved it. I even let her pick out her headband! The product has a GREAT smell! Smells like fresh linen and leaves your hair smelling fresh and clean throughout the whole day! When it’s hot outside all I want to do is get my hair off of my back! Especially with long thick wavy hair. A cute style I love in the summer are Dutch braids (aka 2 large cornrows). It is super quick and easy to do. Step by Step: 1. I spray my hair with my conditioning mixture (i combine water, hair cream, and hair oil) 2. I comb out my hair. Starting with the ends and working my way up 3. I take a small section of hair from my temple and clip it up (for bangs) 4. I section off my hair into 2 sections on either side of my head and begin to braid down from front to back picking up more hair as i go 5. I place a hair tie at the end of my braid 6. Repeat on the other side 7. Un clip bangs and part them in the middle 8. Optional: use a Flat Iron to curl bangs outward, away from face and add headband! My hair is naturally a dry coily fro but when I want a break from my natural hair care routine or just a change of pace I wear wigs. The wig I am wearing in the photo has very thick, loose curls and it can get very dry. ⚡️Before I do any styling i always use Jane Carter Solution Curls to Go Shine on Curl Elixer. It adds shine to my hair and it also protects my hair from heat damage. This is great for people with dry curly hair. It will condition your hair and make it easier to brush out. ⚡️I like to use the REVLON - One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer to blow out all of the curls. Everyone needs this product!!!! It makes like so much easier whether I am styling my natural hair or a wig. The heat and brush combo has this hair blown out in 20 mins and makes straightening so much faster. ⚡️I use the Fahrenheit Hair Care System Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron. This is a quality iron. It goes up to 425 and gets my hair super straight. It also makes my hair look super silky and shiny and I don’t have to pass it through my hair a million times before it is straight. ⚡️JOHN FRIEDA - Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hair Spray this is my favorite hairspray. Your hair is not moving with this product! It has amazing hold and it doesn’t take away from my hairs shine. Step by Step: 1. I spray 1 pump of Shine on Curl Elixer into my hands, rub my hands together and distribute the product evenly throughout my hair. 2. I part my hair in small sections. Working from the back to the front I take the Revlon Volumizer and blow out each section. 3. I use the Fahrenheit iron to bump the ends of each layer of my hair and style my bangs 4. Spray Frizz Ease hair spray from 12 inches away into hands and scrunch hair I love this super cute hairstyle. It frames my face and It takes me 35 mins to do! #CherieCreator
