Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
This isn’t my favorite cleanser and I would honestly just use water. Even have washing my face I still felt like my skin was still “dirty” and oily. It didn’t really do anything for my skin, but I have heard it works well for others. I would recommend this if you are just starting out your skincare routine because it’s so gentle and simple. Tell me your thoughts and experiences in the comments!!🤗🤗 Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

My skincare routine!!
Hi! I’m Emma, I’m 13, and I just got interested in skincare! I love this app so far, it has given me so many helpful tips! Here is my skincare routine right now: Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser I use this every morning/night! I accidentally got the one with a little fragrance so I will be switching to the Gentle Skin Cleanser (fragrance free) when I finish this one. (I’m using the daily facial cleanser at the moment) The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use this every night before I go to sleep! I would really like some tips on how often I should use this and how much I should apply it. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I LOVE this moisturizer:) I use it in the morning and also before I go to bed! Vaseline - Lip Therapy, Original Lip Balm I always use this on my lips when they get dry. That’s my skincare routine, is there anything you guys think I should add or change? Let me know!
Hey guys! i’m 4 months into my accutane treatment and my skin is so clear now compared to my last skin journey update! my side effects are really dry lips, for that i use my aquaphor ointment(tagged), i also have really dry/flaky skin, for that i use my cerave night cream(tagged) at night and sometimes as a spot treatment for dry patches. i do feel accutane has made me more emotional and irritable but there’s nothing i can really do about that. so when you’re on accutane you want to keep your routine and simple and gentle as possible because your skin is sensitive during this process. the products i’m using are tagged on my photo and i haven’t had any bad experiences with them. i recommend looking up some youtube videos of other peoples routines, as i did to get an idea of the routine i was going to use, and use that to guide you. remember to always use sunscreen even if you’re going out for 10 minutes, your skin is so sensitive during this you can’t risk it.
My favorite cleanser. EVER.
Let’s talk about this amazing cleanser. I purchased it for the first time last year at tjmaxx for $3 and it was really an impulse buy (like all of my skincare buys let’s just be honest 🤦🏾♀️) so I didn’t get around to using it until like a month after I bought it and that’s when I fell utterly in love with it. This was the first creamy cleanser I’d ever used and not only was it gentle but it was effective. At the time my skin wasn’t as bad as it was now. I wasn’t really into skincare but it really helped with my acne because my skin was too dry and sensitive at the time to use regular salicylic acid. After I finished my bottle it was hard for me to find a creamy cleanser that lives up to what it was until I finally found it months later again in Marshall’s. The smell of this face wash is very spearmint and toothpaste like (which is something I like but not everyone can enjoy that) and it has a very smooth texture. I enjoy the cleanser most when I use it in the shower. I usually put some warm water all of my face and then rub it in for a minute and after this let it sit with the steam of the shower penetrating it for the rest of my shower. After I get out I wash it off at the sink and my skin always feels soft, clean and hydrated, never stripped and dry. A little also goes a long way ensuring the bottle lasts a long time. This cleanser is an mvp for me all year round but ESPECIALLY in the winter when I sometimes suffer with dry patches ;-; Even though my skin is acting crazy rn I use this as my gentle cleanser both day and night (despite me reading that I should be using a gel cleanser. Im hardheaded I know 🤦🏾♀️) If you have dry skin or combination dry skin this may be a really good cleanser for you (because yk what I use may not work for you) but for $3 it’s worth a try.
Sometimes you have to use what you got..
So last week I stayed at my boyfriend’s place and for some reason, unknown to myself, I forgot my regular face wash. So all I had was his face wash (you can tell he loves skin care as much as I do... 😝). Overall, it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve used since the start of my skin care journey but also not the best. I am all for drugstore buys but I not all products are created equal. Clean&Clear - Morning Burst Oil-Free Gentle Daily Face Wash is really heavily scented, which isn’t a problem for my skin but I see it being a issue for some more sensitive skin. It smells nice, like oranges 🍊 and it has vitamin c exploding beads. Cudos to my boyfriend for unwittingly buying a product that has vitamin c. This cleanser is gently foaming but I don’t feel like it adds anything to my skin and actually strips my skin of everything. So my skin does feel really “clean” but I’m not sure that’s the feeling I want. Overall, it worked in a bind but I wouldn’t recommend this to buy. Plus this week, I have a breakout on my chin which might be from this cleanser or from my hormones 🤷🏻♀️.

Tried the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water
Hello friends👋 So I’ve been trying to find something as good as GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover which I personally love. I’m going to try to compare it to the Simple - Kind to Skin Micellar Cleasing Water which is NOTHING LIKE GARNIER’s but still serves its makeup removing purpose. ( take into account I’m using the “kind to skin” version of it) I would usually use only 1 cotton pad to remove a full face of makeup with GARNIER’s but with this Simple water I usually take 2 if I have a full face of makeup. Is not a bad thing but still if you’re lazy then it would probably won’t be a good fit for you. it doesn’t remove waterproof makeup like GARNIER’s which is sad because I love me some waterproof mascara It is very gentle which I love has no fragrance or harsh ingredients that would dry out your face it claims to have vitamin B3 and vitamin C To sum it all up: Is it like GARNIER’s ? Not at all, but still worth trying if you’re someone that has sensitive skin and doesn’t wear heavy makeup on a regular basis. I usually wear makeup every single day for work, I will keep on using it until it finishes but I don’t think I will repurchase because I feel like GARNIER’s fits better my needs. Still an awesome product. What’s your cleansing system like?? Help me out I’m trying to try new things!!

Dry, itchy or irritated eyes? Try this out
After a visit to the eye doctor last week I decided to try out this product after hearing about all the great things it does from my eye doctor! Giulia and Paola at @sorellaoptique are super informative and have the most up to date information about all things relating to eye health. We got to talking and she asked if I ever experienced irritated or dry eyes. I don’t normally, but I did tell her I noticed I was getting small dry patches randomly on my eye lids and I thought it was very odd. I always thought it was just dry skin, but I don’t have “dry skin” so it did always concern me. She explained to me that this is a common thing that happens if we don’t clean our eyes and the base of our lashes, I never knew!!!!😳 I’m all about cleansers - of course with me being an esthetician and loving anything skin care related - and I know how delicate the skin around our eyes is. But you do need to take care of it! She showed me a close up image of my eye and I could see the build up on the follicles of my lashes! She explained to me that this can be from daily use of mascara, lash serums, things in the air - really just from day to day living. And also using certain cleansers, oil cleansers especially, even though they are great for your skin - they might not be the best for your eyes and you have to take that extra step to make sure you are cleaning your eyes and lashes as well. I’ve been using this foam every morning for the last few days and I can’t wait to let you guys know how I end up liking it after a while! So far, I love how my eyes feel after using it. They just feel clean. No irritation, no stinging - nothing. So far I love it! I’ll update you guys as time goes on ❤️. Take a look at the last picture to see a before and after on their instruction packet! It truly is amazing.
