It can be hard to find a toner that fits your skincare needs, so let me help you! I have recommendations for all skin types, but I personally believe that even if you have very oily skin your toner shouldn’t be stripping so all of these have hydrating properties. I have tried all of these toners and these are my favorites! GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner 🌼Oily and Combination Skin🌼 Because this toner has exfoliating acids in it, it is very beneficial for those with oily or combination skin. It can help those who struggle with acne and blackheads as well (no matter your skin type). It gently exfoliates the skin while still providing hydration. I love the thick texture and the scent the watermelon extract gives it. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner 🌸Dry, Combination, Normal, and Sensitive Skin🌸 This toner is AMAZING if you are looking for hydration. It has so many amazing ingredients including colloidal oatmeal which is actually considered an skin protectant by the FDA due to its effective soothing properties. Because of this it can be listed as an active ingredient. This toner has a watery but slightly thick consistency I really like. peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner 🌼All Skin Types (Especially Dry)🌼 Out of all of these toners this is the one I think would work for pretty much everyone and is my personal favorite! It has acne fighting properties, it is SUPER hydrating (due to snail mucin being the first ingredient and addition of hyaluronic acid), there is no fragrance, and it sinks quickly into the skin. cocokind - Rosewater Facial Toner 🌸All Skin Types (Especially Combination)🌸 Rosewater toners are great for the skin. It is soothing, calms redness, and helps balance PH. This one in particular is my favorite. It uses one ingredient (rosewater) unlike other popular rosewater toners. If you have any tried any of these products or have any recommendations please let me know in the comments!
🍉Downsize those pores🍉Gentle PHA + BHA Toner
GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner Glow recipe gets a lot of hype! I mean a LOT! And yes I admit it I’ve jumped on the bandwagon 🙋♀️. But only after trying products and enjoying them and having good experiences. Yes their packaging is SO cute but what really matters is the ingredients, cause b***h they don’t lie! Ingredients: Opuntia Ficus-Indica (Cactus) Extract, Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Gluconolactone, Sodium Polyglutamate, Betaine Salicylate, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Lactobacillus/Watermelon Fruit Ferment Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Brassica Oleracea Capitata (Cabbage) Leaf Extract, Ipomoea Batatas Root Extract, Sorbitan Oleate, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Fragrance/Parfum ⭐️Key Ingredients⭐️ 🌵Cactus Water: being the first and most prevalent ingredient in the formula, this makes this toner not dry the s*** outta my face! Contains electrolytes and amino acids to help skin retain moisture. It also gives it that satisfying goopy gloppy texture. 🍉Watermelon Extract: Amino rich - hydrates, soothes, + improves appearance of fine lines + wrinkles 👩🔬Gluconolactone - a PHA - helps to resurface and smooth skin, while also removing buildup of dead skin cells. A very gentle gradual exfoliant that is great for sensitive skin types. 👩🔬BHAs - The formula includes 2 types of BHA: Willow Bark, a gentle, natural source of BHA, as well as sugarcane, birch, + royal azalea tree-derived Betaine Salicylate. One of the most effective ingredients for decongestant pores and reducing appearance of pores + blackheads. 💦Hyaluronic Acid - this helps deliver + lock in hydration so the formula is not drying or stripping to the skin This does contain less than 0.5% fragrance** 🍉My Experience🍉 I honestly love this product. I have been using the 40ml bottle (smaller one) since the begging of august and still have about 40% remaining. I use this am + pm because it’s gentle enough to do that for my skin (unless you’re using another strong exfoliating treatment or strong retinol). I have seen improvements in the texture of my skin + it has decongested my face a lot. Being someone that hasn’t taken care of their skin for, well, like 26 years out of my 27 year old life, there’s a lot of texture + gunk built up + work to be done. This is not a product that will fix your skin in a week, but I am confident that it is something I will keep in my skin care arsenal as it is good for my skin, it is a great preventative treatment to reduce the chances of pore buildup in the future. I am a strong believer in SLOW, consistent results over immediate results that can have negative consequences sometimes.

I’d rather get coal than...
GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist was a product I initially purchased because of the hype....and never ended up using. 😒 I am a huge fan of hydrating mists but this just didn’t do it for me. Living in a desert I absolutely always keep a mist on hand and this bottle has one of the best spritzing mechanisms that delivers such a perfect mist that I wish I had loved it. (Note: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha is the best if you’re looking for one!) Downfalls: Added fragrance- Glow Recipe is known for its popular watermelon scent. Contains small amount of apple cider vinegar which can be sensitizing. Clear bottle causes products to degrade - This was something I learned AFTER purchasing and was disappointing to hear. It’s meant to be stored in a cool dark cabinet or drawer. If you’re looking for just a fun hydrating mist and love watermelon, this is for you. For me, I felt I paid for scented water 🤭 opps, I said it! I’ve tried a few of Glow Recipes other products and some have been hits, others misses. I LOVED their GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask but they discontinued it 😩. I’ve also heard great things about their GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer and hope to give it a try in the future. I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and don’t get coal! 🎄🤶 ❤️🍒 DISCLAIMER- I realize I have become a lot more HONEST with my reviews. It’s not that I wasn’t before I think it’s that I’ve learned a lot by taking a break from posting as often and spending more time doing research and learning about others needs, not just my own skincare concerns. So instead of just sharing that a product was say 5⭐️ for me, I’m trying to evaluate it more from a wider perspective. Example: the watermelon scent in this spray is not sensitizing to me but can be to others so I deducted a star for that.
Skincare in the hospital: what I brought!
Being the type to never skip my skincare routine, I knew I wouldn’t be able to go without while in the hospital after giving birth! That being said, I knew I’d need to pair it down to the bare essentials, and bring practical items. Due to complications I had a cesarean, and my daughter came a lot earlier than expected (she’s 8mos and super pudgy currently). I hadn’t quite pictured it being the way it was, but it was honestly a beautiful experience (minus the major surgery). So with that, I was in the hospital for about 4 days after delivering. Naturally, I wanted to care for my skin in the small ways I could, since I couldn’t really walk to the bathroom to wash my face (and I kinda didn’t want to because it hurt too much tbh), so how’d I do it? Here’s how, and here’s what I brought. I packed my favorite lip balm for starters, hospital air is insanely drying and it really does a number on your skin and lips. DHC - DHC Lip Cream is my go-to, and kept my lips nice and hydrated. Next, because I knew how sweaty and gross I’d get just sitting there, I brought Johnson’s Head-To-Toe baby cleansing cloths so that I could give myself a sort of sponge bath while confined to my hospital bed. They smell super fresh, do a decent job, and didn’t irritate my skin. I wouldn’t personally use them on my baby because her skin is so sensitive to wipes. But that being said, they helped me to feel less gross, and were worth it! I then packed my travel Belif toner and essence belif - Bestsellers On-the-Go Travel Kit , and soaked a bunch of cotton pads in water, and also a handful of them in essence/toner. I was able to sort of cleanse my face this way while being stuck in the bed, and it was one of the few things that made me feel human again. I used the cotton pads soaked in water to wet my face to cleanse, then to wipe off the soap, and followed up with toner. I brought my favorite soothing serum and cream for my skin at the time, as my face during pregnancy was always battling dry itchy red patches. I used dear, klairs - Rich Moist Soothing Serum , and then dear, klairs - Rich Moist Soothing Cream . The scent is barely there and smells natural, and it did wonders for my skin. Lastly I’d finish up with innisfree - Orchid Youth-Enriched Eye Cream Now, the one product that helped me to feel super at-home and refreshed, despite the wreck that was my body, was GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist . It was so refreshing to mist my sleep-deprived self with this stuff; and it kept my skin so hydrated and comfortable. I also brought some dry shampoo; Ouidad - Clean Sweep Moisturizing Dry Shampoo If you’re packing your birth-bag, consider throwing in some skincare!
worth $34 or is it just the brand name?
💗 GLOW RECIPE PHA + BHA PORE TIGHT TONER 💗 the new glow recipe toner has been getting maaaajor hype all over the community. like drunk elephant, i was a bit hesitant splurging big bucks on this toner because i felt like i was only paying for the name. THANK YOU LORD that that didn’t end up being the case. the unique formulation of cactus water, watermelon, & 6% of PHA + BHA make this toner the perfect “facial in a bottle.” 🧖🏻♀️ pore appearance greatly reduced within a week & the texture of this particular product makes it even more functional. here’s the key highlights that sold me on this toner: a little goes a long way, saving you product & money! recyclable packaging & active ingredients make it sustainable and efficient! it doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight or tacky & gives you a nice glowy feeling afterwards, especially the AM after 🦋 glow recipe reports that it’s gentle enough to use both AM and PM. i’ve always just used it every night prior to applying squalane oil & have had the best and perkiest skin ever since 👽
GLOW RECIPE-Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner
I have been really loving a certain toner (I plan on reviewing this week) and now I’m addicted to Toners! I saw this one pop up on Sephora and immediately knew I had to try it! I want my pores to be smaller and my skin to be clearer so I gravite towards an obsession with BHA or better known as salicylic acid. The toner I mentioned briefly has BHA too and OMG!! I have been using this beauty from Farmacy for just a few days in the morning to prep my face for the day and it helps it glow without the debris in the way. Deep sweep is a great name since my skin truly looks cleaner after use. I cannot find a smell with this product and I love that it’s not super drying nor irritating. I do find it a touch drying, but honestly nothing concerning since BHA will do that no matter the product. Because of my impulses, I think I’m going to need to pick up the Farmacy Daily Greens moisturizer to have the matching set. Does anyone else have a beauty obsession like this too!?
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Toner: 2 Week Review
I recently purchased my first Glow Recipe product on a whim, and I am incredibly happy with my impulse decision! I will tell you why this product has already grown to be a favorite after just two weeks of use. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner When it comes to toners, I oftentimes do not notice a difference after use on my skin. Finding a good toner is difficult for me, but what drew me to the Glow Recipe toner were the ingredients. The PHA and hyaluronic acid helps with my sensitive skin, which can sometimes have a sensitivity to BHAs. The product also includes cactus water. The cactus water causes the product’s texture to be “springy” unlike other toners with water consistency. I personally find the texture of this toner incredible, it feels so hydrating and along with the hyaluronic acid, helps to makes my skin feel plump after every use. I have been using the product for a couple of weeks now, nightly, before applying my moisturizer and I have noticed my pores feel tighter after I apply the toner. Not only have already noticed my pore size reduced, but also has removed blackheads without the irritation I have gotten from other products with BHAs. The scent is not overwhelming and is natural. I would describe it as the smell of a watermelon rind, pleasant and free of chemical or artificial smells that are found in other toners. I find most toner scents to be off putting, but this one is quite the opposite. I makes me want to drink it! Finally, the amount of toner in the full sized product lasts for a long time. I have used everyday for the past couple of weeks and have barely made a dent in the product. A little definitely goes a long was with this stuff, so don’t let the slightly higher price turn you away. My first reaction to Glow Recipe has been amazing and I cannot wait to try their other products. The packaging on these products are so adorable as well, I cannot wait to reuse the container after I use up the product. Does anyone have any recommendations for Glow Recipe products I should try next??
GLOW RECIPE-Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner
A gentle and hydrating BHA toner
[First Impressions] Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner Key Ingredients: Watermelon Extract, Cactus water, PHA, Willow bark, HA and Tea Tree Extract The consistency reminds me of snail mucin. It is slightly bouncy and there is that satisfying stretch and pull texture. However, once it comes into contact with your skin, it does not feel sticky or tacky at all. It almost absorbs immediately with a semi matte finish. Overall, feels light weight and comfortable This the first BHA/PHA type of toner that did leave my skin feeling dehydrated and tight by the end of the day. This formula does not contain salicylic acid so, I think that is why my skin did not feel dehydrated. I really like how it feels very gentle on the skin. This is a well balanced toner to prep your skin because it adds a little bit of hydration and moisture back into your skin. The first thing I noticed was how plumped and soft my skin looked with just one layer I haven’t noticed any difference in my pore size but, I do have the most stubborn pores on my nose. However, my skin does look soft, less textured and slightly smoother. The only downside is the signature Glow Recipe’s watermelon scent which I am not a fan off. It does linger for about 60 seconds before it goes away Overall, this toner seems quite promising and I have high hopes since it is working well so far. Even if it doesn’t do anything for my pores, I do like it for added hydration or when I want a gentle exfoliation
GLOW RECIPE-Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner
YTTP Kombucha Toner
The product: a toner that helps smooth skin texture and minimize the appearance of pores My impressions: it’s made my skin texture 10 times better especially on my forehead where I get the most texture! I don’t have big pores but I’m going to have my husband use it to test out the pore aspect of it! But if you are struggling with texture I do recommend picking it up! I use it about 3x a week sometimes less and focus it on my t-zone. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen! How it worked for my dry skin: not overly drying, it had a tacky feeling actually but after I put on my moisturizer it was fine! Length of use: 3+ months Cost: 4 Oz is $38. You can also find minis on places like Mercari which are less and you get to test out the product first! Recommend: if you like even texture and smaller pore then yes! I think it’s a reasonable price. You can always find cheaper like the Ordinary toner which is also great! Repurchase: I have repurchased minis! Overall rating: 5 out of 5 for the smooth texture and not a terrible cost! There are cheaper but also there are expensive ones too! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner

did we just become besties?? 👯 fresh rose toner
everyone loves this fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner , and for good reason! when i decided to do away with witch hazel as a toner, i wanted to find something gentle and hydrating. this toner has been just that. i really like the rose scent, but if you have sensitivities, you should probably swatch test or forgo this product. the toner does exactly what it says that it will - increase skin hydration and minimize pores while not stripping the skin. i purchased the smaller size for $25 at sephora, and i will definitely purchase the standard size ($45) when i empty this.
