The Zit Stick: My Saving Grace🙏🏻
I hate showing my acne so I hope you guys will appreciate my pictures through this process! Quarantine has been rough but my zits DID NOT help. So, being the huge Glossier fan I am, I used this Zit Stick. The results? Well, you can see for yourself! There is an INSTANT redness reduction just minutes after applying! After a morning and nightly application for a few days, my acne was finally going away ON ITS OWN! No popping was necessary!! Thank you Glossier for this wonderful Zit Stick. It may have just saved my skin😁

BettyBethI believe I have normal and the only acne I get is hormonal. This Zit Stick is made with Tea Tree oil, Benzoyl Peroxide, and Niacinamide as the most effective ingredients. It’s designed specifically for zits and to be fast acting! I think it works with all skin types but it can dry you out a bit 😉 hopes this helps!

Brand Breakdown: Glossier
Hey guys welcome to my new series Brand Breakdown where I go in depth about the most popular products from a certain brand. Today we’re talking about Glossier. Glossier was founded in 2010 by Emily Weiss, Nick Axelrod, and Micheal Harper. Glossier focuses a lot on packaging and aesthetics, which is the main reason the brand went viral. It features skincare, makeup, body care, and fragrance. For the purpose of this post, we’ll be talking about their skincare products because those are the easiest to discuss without buying all the products. The first product we’ll discuss is the Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser which is $18 for 6 fl oz. This cleanser has cleansing agents that are very gentle, to the point where it’s not a good cleanse. Other than that the only ingredients to note are glycerin which is hydrating and rose water, which really doesn’t do anything. This product is overall fine, but for the price I don’t think that it’s worth it because the ingredients are quite cheap and simple. Next is the Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer which costs $22 for 1.7 fl oz. I have two main problems with this moisturizer. First, it has a lot of potentially irritating essential oils and extracts, and secondly $22 for 1.7 fl oz!? That’s a VERY small amount of product for the price, about the size of their cloud paint blush. That said it has hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, A, and E, as well as a mushroom extract that’s hydrating. I would say it’s an ok product, but the price is too high for it. Next up is the highly controversiaGlossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid A lot of people complain it’s oily and doesn’t sink into the skin, such as in a review by @svvphia on Cherie. Similar to the Priming Moisturizer, you get a small amount of product for the price. How little? Exactly 1 fl oz. for $24. Futuredew also contains a lot of essential oils and extracts, but on the positive side it has a high concentration of glycerin and squalane which are both super hydrating. Our next product is theGlossier. - Balm Dotcom . This lip balm comes in 9 different flavors, and costs $12 for .5 fl oz. As far as ingredients it has essential oils and castor seed oil. It’s a great product but not worth the price. And our final product for today is theGlossier. - Zit Stick Breakout Eraser . This product is one of the most reasonably priced products Glossier has. It costs $14 for .12 fl oz., but considering how little you use per pimple its a fair price for a so called “breakout eraser”. This product contains Nicinamide which is good for acne, and Salicylic Acid which is great for removing sebum. I think it’s basically a concentrated serum, but it’s fine. So in conclusion Glossier makes products with semi irritating ingredients and cheap formulas, but at an expensive price point for the amount of product and quality you get. I would finish your Glossier skincare and then choose other products instead. Make sure to cheer for this post if you found it helpful and follow me for similar content! Happy 2021 y’all!!!! -Mae
*DUPE* for glossier’s zit stick!
so I splurged a few months ago on some, whad’ya know? glossier products! one of those items was the zit stick aka *breakout eraser* • the tag mentions that it’s not good for very sensitive skin or folks sensitive to benzoyl peroxide as it’s 5% BP (0.12 fl oz, 3.5ml) • it also mentions not to use this product when you’re using other topical acne medications at the same time due to increase in dryness or irritation (see a doctor if this happens!) • it’s also made with tea tree oil & capryloyl salicylic acid to help shrink blemishes & minimize swelling RESULTS: honestly it helped decrease some of the pimple but it’s not the strongest or super fast-acting as I’d hoped ~ and it took many days of usage to see the best results and it didn’t completely make it go away either ~ the pimple still usually lasted a week or so (as I usually used it on hormonal acne from periods) :/ ALTERNATIVE: drugstore buy: neutrogena rapid clear stubborn acne medicine spot treatment gel (1 fl oz), I’ve used this for literally yeaaars and it never fails. It may not be the absolute strongest acne spot (it is 10% BP though) treatment out there but just letting you know whats worked better for me ~ $7.49 @ target! *notes: glossier zit stick is cruelty free 🐰 & made without: gluten, soy, or dairy & neutrogena rapid clear is labeled as a *clean* product @ target! have you tried either of these products?? lemme know in the comments if you agree ☺️
Not worth the hype 🚫
Glossier is one of those brands that gets hype no matter what kind of product they’re launching. And I’ve found it a bit harder in the past few years to differentiate who’s actually an affiliate and working with the brand, and who is just an enthusiast (like myself). This led me to purchase Glossier. - Zit Stick Breakout Eraser all glowing reviews as soon as it launched so I thought well, let me give that a try. Big Miss Steak. Zit stick is just not for me, it’s a benzoyl peroxide based spot treatment product. My skin used to react really well to benzoyl peroxide when I was in my teens and maybe is just that my skin has different needs today, or the percentage is too strong on this but I found it super irritating and drying. I need to be very careful to just dot the product on a pimple and not get any of the skin surrounding it or else is just instant redness and dryness. I don’t have sensitive or typically reactive skin, so this was very upsetting. Not a product I’d recommend myself, but this is just based on my experience! I would love to hear if you’ve tried this and if it’s worked for you! 🥰

These products along with some more have transformed my skin. I had very oily and acne prone skin and their products help me so much. My two favorites for breakouts are the Glossier. - Zit Stick Breakout Eraser and the Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector . I love these so much in less then 2 weeks I was already seeing the results I wanted. So yes I hope you guys purchase from them even though it’s on the pricey side it’s so worth it! :)
Glossier.-Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector
Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector I have been using Glossier Solution for a while now and it smells delicious (kinda like root beer) It is a chemical exfoliator, and works to reduce acne. Though when I first began using it my acne got a little worse (there is an adjustment period, hence the 4 stars instead of 5) but after that it has really improved my skin. It is super easy to apply (just put it on a cotton pad and dab) . It has a water-like consistency, but is a little drying. I would recommend it, I think it is pretty reasonably priced and lasts a while. The packaging is also super cute! Hope this helps!

sadly emptied 🥺
STARFACE - Hydro-Stars • the function • this brings a whole new meaning to “constellation on my face!” this product is for breakouts, especially for the ones with PUSS🤢 • target concerns • perfect for anyone with cystic acne! it’s honestly great for any skin type, i am in love with these bad boys! • texture + consistency • these are stars are yellow and will turn more opaque when ready to take off! they are the perfect sticky to not hurt when taken off! • my thoughts + more • i have used these for about two weeks, my boyfriend and i used them all up and will be purchasing more. i was basically a drug dealer for pimple stars for the past two weeks. do i like it?? girllll YES! they actually ripped the sucker right out and ive never been more pleased with a product! this exact pack retails for $22 + shipping + handling, i got this gifted to me from supergreat (ask about this app below!!) and i will be repurchasing the refill pack! so definitely worth the $$ !! thought it’d be fun to add the places ive worn these—> target, walmart, nannying, multiple gas stations and even some family dinners⭐️💛
I want to talk about pimples! More specifically, 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐕𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒! 🤬 Those 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐢𝐠, 𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲, 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬 that love to make appearances in the worst places at the worst of times!! You know! ⭐️ Although I’m pretty guilty of doing this...we all are even if we preach other wise & probably the worst thing you can do is 𝐏𝐎𝐏 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐒! Popping your pimples not only can 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 & pus from the infected pore to the surrounding area but it can also lead to infection & scarring. 🌟 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 ?! A pimple patch! More specifically @starface they’re a spot treatment for your nasty face invaders! These hydro stars will not only zap your pimple but it’ll do it in a much more gentler way. It literally sucks the gunk of your pimple & shields your skin from bacteria & protects it from the need to want to pick at it! These babies are amazing! ⭐️ I usually get hormonal breakouts along with several 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 invaders that last for weeks & can be painful too! I’ve used several of these & I will say depending on the size and type of pimple on average it took 3 days to zap my pimple using a @starface patch. 𝟑 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬?! I’d say that was pretty impressive, not to mention they come in this adorable pocket sized case with a baby mirror! 🤩
